Whiston(i)
56 And they returned, and prepared spices and ointments; and rested the sabbath-day.
24 1 But upon the first [day] of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre, bringing what they had prepared, and certain with them.
2 But they reasoned among themselves who now shall roll away the stone? But They found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre.
3 And they entred in, and found not the body.
4 And it came to pass, as they were perplexed about it; behold two men stood by them in a shining garment.
5 And [they were] afraid, and bowed down [their] faces to the earth; But they said unto them, Why seek ye him that is alive among the dead?
6 Remember how many things he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee,
7 That the Son of man must be delivered into the hands of men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.
8 And they remembred his words,
9 And returned, and told all these things unto the eleven, and all the rest.
10 Mary Magdalene, and Joanna, and Mary [the mother] of James, and other [women] with them, told these things unto the apostles,
11 And these words seemed to them as an idle tale, and they believed them not.
