For every one who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted." ¹⁵ They were bringing to him babes for him to touch. The disciples on seeing this rebuked them. ¹⁶ But Jesus called the children to him, saying, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them; for of such is the kingdom of God. ¹⁷ Truly, I tell you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will not enter it."
