13 But the tax-collector stood at a distance and would not even raise his eyes to heaven, but struck his breast, and said, 'O God, have mercy on a sinner like me!'
14 I tell you, it was he who went back to his house with God's approval, and not the other. For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but the man who humbles himself will be exalted."
15 People brought babies to him to have him touch them, but the disciples, when they saw it, reproved them for it.
16 But Jesus called them up to him and said, "Let the children come to me and do not try to stop them, for the Kingdom of God belongs to such as they.
17 I tell you, whoever does not accept the Kingdom of God like a child will not enter it at all."
