Matthew⁽ⁱ⁾ ¹ Let euery soule submit him selfe vnto the authoritie of the hygher powers. For there is no power but of God. ² The powers that be are ordeyned of God. Whosoeuer therfore resisteth power, resisteth the ordinaunce of GOD. And they that resiste, shall receyue to them selfe damnacyon. ³ For rulars are not to be feared for good workes, but for euyll. Wylte thou be wyth oute feare of the power? Do well then: and so shalte thou be praysed of the same.
