1 And having called his twelve disciples, he gave to them authority over unclean spirits, so-that they are able to cast them out, and to heal every kind of disease and every kind of illness.
2 Now the names of the twelve apostles are these: the first is Simon, who is called Peter and Andrew his brother; James and John his brother, the sons of Zebedee; 3 Philip and Bartholomew; Thomas and Matthew the tax collector; James the son of Alphaeus and Lebbaeus who was surnamed Thaddaeus; 4 Simon the Canaanite
and Judas the Iscariot, who gave him up to the Jews.
5 Jesus sent forth these twelve apostles and commanded them, saying, Do not go into any road of the Gentiles and do not enter into any city of the Samaritans;
