MLV(i)
And he comes to the house of the ruler of the synagogue, and he views an uproar, many weeping and wailing.
And having entered in, he says to them, Why are you in an uproar and weeping? The child is not dead, but is sleeping.
And they were laughing at him. But having cast them all out, he takes the father of the child and her mother and those with him and he traveled into where the child was reclining.
And taking-hold of the child by the hand, he says to her, Talitha kumi; which is, after being translated, Girl, I say to you, Arise.
And immediately the girl rose up and was walking; for she was twelve years old. And they were astonished with a great astonishment.
And he ordered them much in order that no one should know this and he said that something should be given to her to eat.
