Amos 1:6-8 Thus saith the LORD ; For three transgressions of Gaza , and for four , I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they carried away captive the whole captivity , to deliver them up to Edom:

8 H3772 And I will cut off [H8689] H3427 the inhabitant [H8802] H795 from Ashdod H8551 , and him that holdeth [H8802] H7626 the sceptre H831 from Ashkelon H7725 , and I will turn [H8689] H3027 mine hand H6138 against Ekron H7611 : and the remnant H6430 of the Philistines H6 shall perish [H8804] H559 , saith [H8804] H136 the Lord H3069 GOD.

7 H7971 ושׁלחתי But I will send H784 אשׁ a fire H2346 בחומת on the wall H5804 עזה of Gaza, H398 ואכלה which shall devour H759 ארמנתיה׃ the palaces

8 H3772 והכרתי And I will cut off H3427 יושׁב the inhabitant H795 מאשׁדוד H8551 ותומך and him that holdeth H7626 שׁבט the scepter H831 מאשׁקלון H7725 והשׁיבותי and I will turn H3027 ידי mine hand H5921 על against H6138 עקרון Ekron: H6 ואבדו shall perish, H7611 שׁארית and the remnant H6430 פלשׁתים of the Philistines H559 אמר saith H136 אדני the Lord H3069 יהוה׃ GOD.
