17 but we ourselves go ready equipped at the face of the sons of Yisra El, until we bring them to their place: and our toddlers settle in the fortified cities at the face of them who settle the land:
18 we return not to our houses until every man of the sons of Yisra El inherits his inheritance:
19 for we inherit not with them on yonder side Yarden, or beyond; because our inheritance falls to us on this side Yarden toward the rising.
20 And Mosheh says to them, If you work this word, if you go equipped at the face of Yah Veh to war,
21 and all of you pass equipped over Yarden at the face of Yah Veh, until he dispossesses his enemies from his face,
22 and subdue the land at the face of Yah Veh: then afterward you return and become innocent at the face of Yah Veh and at the face of Yisra El; and this land becomes your possession at the face of Yah Veh.
23 And if you work not so, behold, you sin against Yah Veh: and perceive that your sin finds you out.
24 Build cities for your toddlers and walls for your flocks; and work as proceeds from your mouth.
25 And the sons of Gad and the sons of Reu Ben say to Mosheh, saying, Your servants work as my adoni misvahs:
26 our toddlers, our women, our chattel and all our animals, be there in the cities of Gilad:
27 but your servants pass over, every man equipped for hostility, at the face of Yah Veh to war, as my adoni worded.
28 And concerning them Mosheh misvahs El Azar the priest and Yah Shua the son of Nun and the head fathers of the rods of the sons of Yisra El:
29 and Mosheh says to them, If the sons of Gad and the sons of Reu Ben pass over Yarden with you, every man equipped to war, at the face of Yah Veh, and the land subdues at your face; then give them the land of Gilad for a possession:
30 but if they pass not over with you equipped, they possess among you in the land of Kenaan.
31 And the sons of Gad and the sons of Reu Ben answer, saying, As Yah Veh worded to your servants, thus we work:
32 we - we pass over equipped at the face of Yah Veh to the land of Kenaan, and the possession of our inheritance on this side Yarden becomes ours.
33 And Mosheh gives them - the sons of Gad and the sons of Reu Ben and half the scion of Menash Sheh the son of Yoseph, the sovereigndom of Siho sovereign of the Emoriy and the sovereigndom of Og sovereign of Bashan - the land, with the cities thereof in the borders, - the cities of the land all around.
34 And the sons of Gad build Dibon and Ataroth and Aroer
35 and Atroth, Shophan and Yazer and Jogbehah
36 and Beth Nimrah and Beth Ha Ran - fortified cities: and walls for flocks.
37 And the sons of Reu Ben build Heshbon and El Aleh and Qiryathaim
38 and Nebo and Baal Meon - their names being turned around and Sibmah: and calls names to the cities they build by name.
39 And the sons of Machir the son of Menash Sheh goes to Gilad and captures it and dispossesses the Emoriy therein.
40 And Mosheh gives Gilad to Machir the son of Menash Sheh; and he settles therein.
41 And Yair the son of Menash Sheh goes and captures the living areas thereof and calls them Havoth Yair:
42 and Nobach goes and captures Qenath and the daughters thereof and calls it Nobach, after his own name.
