SONS OF YISRA EL AVENGE THE MIDYANIY
And Yah Veh words to Mosheh, saying, 2 Avenge the avengement of the sons of Yisra El against the Midyaniy: and afterward, gather to your people. 3 And Mosheh words to the people, saying, Equip some of your men to the hostility; and have them go against Midyaniy and give the avengement of Yah on Midyan. 4 Send a thousand per rod - a thousand per rod of all the rods of Yisra El to the hostility. 5 So they set apart, of the thousands of Yisra El, a thousand piercers per rod, twelve thousand equipped for hostility: 6 and Mosheh sends them to the hostility - a thousand per rod - them and Phinechas the son of El Azar the priest to the hostility with the holy instruments; and in his hand, the trumpets to blast. 7 And they host against the Midyaniy as Yah Veh misvahed Mosheh; and they slaughter all the males: 8 and they slaughter the sovereigns of Midyan, beside the rest whom they pierced - Evi and Reqem and Sur and Hur and Reba - five sovereigns of Midyan: and they slaughter Bilam the son of Beor with the sword: 9 and the sons of Yisra El capture all the women of Midyan and their toddlers and take the plunder of all their animals and all their chattel and all their valuables: 10 and they burn all their cities of settlements and all their walls, with fire: 11 and they take all the loot and all the prey, - human and animal: 12 and they bring the captives and the prey and the loot, to Mosheh and El Azar the priest and to the witness of the sons of Yisra El, to the camp at the plains of Moab by Yarden near Yericho. 13 And Mosheh and El Azar the priest and all the hierarchs of the witness, go forth to meet them outside the camp. 14 And Mosheh is enraged with them who oversee the valiant - with the governors over thousands and governors over hundreds who come from the hostility of war. 15 And Mosheh says to them, Preserved you all the females alive? 16 Behold, these become to the sons of Yisra El, through the word of Bilam, to set treason against Yah Veh in the word of Peor and a plague among the witness of Yah Veh. 17 And now slaughter every male among the toddlers and slaughter every woman who has known man by bedding with a male: 18 and all the toddlers among the women, who have not known bedding with a male, preserve alive for yourselves. 19 Whoever slaughters any soul and whoever touches any pierced, encamp outside the camp seven days and purify for your sins and your captives on the third day and on the seventh day: 20 and for your sins, purify your clothes and all instruments of skins and all work of goats and all instruments made of timber. 21 And El Azar the priest says to the men of hostility who go to the war, This is the statute of the torah Yah Veh misvahed Mosheh: 22 only the gold and the silver, the copper, the iron, the tin and the lead, 23 every word that abides the fire: pass it through the fire and it purifies: only it purifies for your sins with the water of exclusion: and all that abides not the fire, pass through the water: 24 and launder your clothes on the seventh day and purify and afterward come into the camp. 25
