Hosea 5

THE JUDGMENT OF YAH VEH AGAINST YISRA EL
Hear this, O priests; and hearken, you house of Yisra El; and hearken, O house of the sovereign: for judgment is toward you because you become a snare on Mispeh, and a net spread over Tabor: 2 and the deviates deepen to slaughter, and I discipline them all. 3 I know Ephrayim, and Yisra El is not concealed from me: for you, O Ephrayim, whore and Yisra El fouls: 4 they give not their exploits to return to their Elohim: for the spirit of whoredoms is midst them and they know not Yah Veh: 5 and the pomp of Yisra El answers to his face: and Yisra El and Ephrayim falter in their perversity; Yah Hudah also falters with them. 6 With their flocks and with their herds they go to seek Yah Veh; and find not: he withdraws himself from them. 7 They deal covertly against Yah Veh: for they birth strange sons: now a month consumes them with their allotments. 8 You, blast the shophar in Gibah and the trumpet in Ramah: shout at the house of mischief, After you, O Ben Yamin! 9 Ephrayim becomes desolate in the day of rebuke: among the scions of Yisra El I make known the trustworthy. 10 The governors of Yah Hudah become removers of the border: I pour my wrath on them as water. 11 Ephrayim is oppressed; crushed in judgment; because he wills to walk after the misvah. 12 So I am to Ephrayim as a moth and to the house of Yah Hudah as rottenness. 13 And Ephrayim sees his sickness and Yah Hudah sees his sore; and Ephrayim goes to the Ashshuri and sends to sovereign Yareb to plead: yet he can neither heal you nor cure you of your sore. 14 For I am to Ephrayim as a roaring lion and as a whelp to the house of Yah Hudah: I - I tear and go away; I bear away; and no one rescues: 15 I go and return to my place, until they acknowledge their guilting and seek my face: in their tribulation they seek me early.
