4 καὶ (And) κυκλόθεν (around) τοῦ (the) θρόνου (throne), θρόνους (thrones) εἴκοσι (were twenty) τέσσαρες (four); καὶ (and) ἐπὶ (on) τοὺς (the) θρόνους (thrones) εἴκοσι (twenty) τέσσαρας (four) πρεσβυτέρους (elders) καθημένους (sitting), περιβεβλημένους (having been clothed) ἐν (in) ἱματίοις (garments) λευκοῖς (white); καὶ (and) ἐπὶ (on) τὰς (the) κεφαλὰς (heads) αὐτῶν (of them), στεφάνους (crowns) χρυσοῦς (golden).
5 Καὶ (And) ἐκ (out of) τοῦ (the) θρόνου (throne) ἐκπορεύονται (come) ἀστραπαὶ (flashes of lightning), καὶ (and) φωναὶ (voices), καὶ (and) βρονταί (thunderings). καὶ (And) ἑπτὰ (there were seven) λαμπάδες (lamps) πυρὸς (of fire) καιόμεναι (burning) ἐνώπιον (before) τοῦ (the) θρόνου (throne), ἅ (which) εἰσιν (are) τὰ (the) ἑπτὰ (seven) Πνεύματα (Spirits) τοῦ (-) Θεοῦ (of God).
6 καὶ (And) ἐνώπιον (before) τοῦ (the) θρόνου (throne) ὡς (was something like) θάλασσα (a sea) ὑαλίνη (of glass), ὁμοία (like) κρυστάλλῳ (crystal). καὶ (And) ἐν (in) μέσῳ (the midst) τοῦ (of the) θρόνου (throne) καὶ (and) κύκλῳ (around) τοῦ (the) θρόνου (throne) τέσσαρα (were four) ζῷα (living creatures), γέμοντα (being full) ὀφθαλμῶν (of eyes) ἔμπροσθεν (in front) καὶ (and) ὄπισθεν (behind).
7 καὶ (And) τὸ (the) ζῷον (living creature) τὸ (-) πρῶτον (first) ὅμοιον (was like) λέοντι (a lion), καὶ (and) τὸ (the) δεύτερον (second) ζῷον (living creature) ὅμοιον (like) μόσχῳ (a calf), καὶ (and) τὸ (the) τρίτον (third) ζῷον (living creature) ἔχων (having) τὸ (the) πρόσωπον (face) ὡς (as) ἀνθρώπου (of a man), καὶ (and) τὸ (the) τέταρτον (fourth) ζῷον (living creature) ὅμοιον (like) ἀετῷ (an eagle) πετομένῳ (flying).
8 καὶ (And) τὰ (the) τέσσαρα (four) ζῷα (living creatures), ἓν (one) καθ’ (for) ἓν (one) αὐτῶν (of them) ἔχων (had) ἀνὰ (respectively) πτέρυγας (wings) ἕξ (six), κυκλόθεν (all around) καὶ (and) ἔσωθεν (within) γέμουσιν (full) ὀφθαλμῶν (of eyes); καὶ (and) ἀνάπαυσιν (rest) οὐκ (not) ἔχουσιν (they have) ἡμέρας (day) καὶ (and) νυκτὸς (night), λέγοντες (saying): “Ἅγιος (Holy), ἅγιος (Holy), ἅγιος (Holy), Κύριος (Lord) ὁ (-) Θεός (God) ὁ (-) Παντοκράτωρ (Almighty), ὁ (the One) ἦν (having been), καὶ (and) ὁ (the One) ὢν (being), καὶ (and) ὁ (the One) ἐρχόμενος (coming).”
9 Καὶ (And) ὅταν (whenever) δώσουσιν (will give) τὰ (the) ζῷα (living creatures) δόξαν (glory) καὶ (and) τιμὴν (honor) καὶ (and) εὐχαριστίαν (thanksgiving) τῷ (to the One) καθημένῳ (sitting) ἐπὶ (upon) τῷ (the) θρόνῳ (throne), τῷ (the One) ζῶντι (living) εἰς (to) τοὺς (the) αἰῶνας (ages) τῶν (of the) αἰώνων (ages),
10 πεσοῦνται (will fall) οἱ (the) εἴκοσι (twenty) τέσσαρες (four) πρεσβύτεροι (elders) ἐνώπιον (before) τοῦ (the One) καθημένου (sitting) ἐπὶ (upon) τοῦ (the) θρόνου (throne), καὶ (and) προσκυνήσουσιν (they will worship) τῷ (the One) ζῶντι (living) εἰς (to) τοὺς (the) αἰῶνας (ages) τῶν (of the) αἰώνων (ages), καὶ (and) βαλοῦσιν (they will cast) τοὺς (the) στεφάνους (crowns) αὐτῶν (of them) ἐνώπιον (before) τοῦ (the) θρόνου (throne), λέγοντες (saying):
