Luke 24:23-35 καὶ (and) μὴ (not) εὑροῦσαι (having found) τὸ (the) σῶμα (body) αὐτοῦ (of Him), ἦλθον (they came) λέγουσαι (declaring) καὶ (also) ὀπτασίαν (a vision) ἀγγέλων (of angels) ἑωρακέναι (to have seen), οἳ (who) λέγουσιν (say) αὐτὸν (He) ζῆν (is alive).

BIB⁽ⁱ⁾ ²³ καὶ (and) μὴ (not) εὑροῦσαι (having found) τὸ (the) σῶμα (body) αὐτοῦ (of Him), ἦλθον (they came) λέγουσαι (declaring) καὶ (also) ὀπτασίαν (a vision) ἀγγέλων (of angels) ἑωρακέναι (to have seen), οἳ (who) λέγουσιν (say) αὐτὸν (He) ζῆν (is alive). ²⁴ καὶ (And) ἀπῆλθόν (went) τινες (some) τῶν (of those) σὺν (with) ἡμῖν (us) ἐπὶ (to) τὸ (the) μνημεῖον (tomb) καὶ (and) εὗρον (found it) οὕτως (so), καθὼς (as) καὶ (also) αἱ (the) γυναῖκες (women) εἶπον (said); αὐτὸν (Him) δὲ (however) οὐκ (not) εἶδον (they saw).” ²⁵ Καὶ (And) αὐτὸς (He) εἶπεν (said) πρὸς (to) αὐτούς (them), “Ὦ (O) ἀνόητοι (foolish) καὶ (and) βραδεῖς (slow) τῇ (-) καρδίᾳ (of heart) τοῦ (-) πιστεύειν (to believe) ἐπὶ (in) πᾶσιν (all) οἷς (that) ἐλάλησαν (have spoken) οἱ (the) προφῆται (prophets). ²⁶ οὐχὶ (Not) ταῦτα (these things) ἔδει (was it necessary for) παθεῖν (to suffer) τὸν (the) Χριστὸν (Christ) καὶ (and) εἰσελθεῖν (to enter) εἰς (into) τὴν (the) δόξαν (glory) αὐτοῦ (of Him)?” ²⁷ καὶ (And) ἀρξάμενος (having begun) ἀπὸ (from) Μωϋσέως (Moses) καὶ (and) ἀπὸ (from) πάντων (all) τῶν (the) προφητῶν (Prophets), διερμήνευσεν (He interpreted) αὐτοῖς (to them) ἐν (in) πάσαις (all) ταῖς (the) γραφαῖς (Scriptures) τὰ (the things) περὶ (concerning) ἑαυτοῦ (Himself). ²⁸ Καὶ (And) ἤγγισαν (they drew near) εἰς (to) τὴν (the) κώμην (village) οὗ (where) ἐπορεύοντο (they were going), καὶ (and) αὐτὸς (He) προσεποιήσατο (appeared) πορρώτερον (farther) πορεύεσθαι (to be going). ²⁹ καὶ (And) παρεβιάσαντο (they constrained) αὐτὸν (Him), λέγοντες (saying), “Μεῖνον (Abide) μεθ’ (with) ἡμῶν (us), ὅτι (for) πρὸς (toward) ἑσπέραν (evening) ἐστὶν (it is), καὶ (and) κέκλικεν (has declined) ἤδη (now) ἡ (the) ἡμέρα (day).” Καὶ (And) εἰσῆλθεν (He entered in) τοῦ (-) μεῖναι (to abide) σὺν (with) αὐτοῖς (them). ³⁰ καὶ (And) ἐγένετο (it came to pass) ἐν (in) τῷ (the) κατακλιθῆναι (reclining) αὐτὸν (of Him) μετ’ (with) αὐτῶν (them), λαβὼν (having taken) τὸν (the) ἄρτον (bread) εὐλόγησεν (He blessed it), καὶ (and) κλάσας (having broken it), ἐπεδίδου (He began giving it) αὐτοῖς (to them). ³¹ αὐτῶν (Of them) δὲ (then) διηνοίχθησαν (were opened) οἱ (the) ὀφθαλμοὶ (eyes), καὶ (and) ἐπέγνωσαν (they knew) αὐτόν (Him). καὶ (And) αὐτὸς (He) ἄφαντος (vanished) ἐγένετο (being seen) ἀπ’ (from) αὐτῶν (them). ³² Καὶ (And) εἶπαν (they said) πρὸς (to) ἀλλήλους (one another), “Οὐχὶ (Not) ἡ (the) καρδία (heart) ἡμῶν (of us) καιομένη (burning) ἦν (was) ἐν (within) ἡμῖν (us) ὡς (as) ἐλάλει (He was speaking) ἡμῖν (with us) ἐν (on) τῇ (the) ὁδῷ (road), ὡς (as) διήνοιγεν (He was opening) ἡμῖν (to us) τὰς (the) γραφάς (Scriptures)?” ³³ Καὶ (And) ἀναστάντες (having risen up) αὐτῇ (that same) τῇ (-) ὥρᾳ (hour), ὑπέστρεψαν (they returned) εἰς (to) Ἰερουσαλήμ (Jerusalem), καὶ (and) εὗρον (they found) ἠθροισμένους (gathered together) τοὺς (the) ἕνδεκα (eleven) καὶ (and) τοὺς (those) σὺν (with) αὐτοῖς (them), ³⁴ λέγοντας (saying) ὅτι (-), “Ὄντως (Indeed) ἠγέρθη (has risen) ὁ (the) Κύριος (Lord) καὶ (and) ὤφθη (He has appeared) Σίμωνι (to Simon).” ³⁵ Καὶ (And) αὐτοὶ (they) ἐξηγοῦντο (began relating) τὰ (the things) ἐν (on) τῇ (the) ὁδῷ (road), καὶ (and) ὡς (how) ἐγνώσθη (He was known) αὐτοῖς (to them) ἐν (in) τῇ (the) κλάσει (breaking) τοῦ (of the) ἄρτου (bread).
