Jonah 1:2-6

  2 H6965 Arise, H3212 go H5210 to Nineveh, H1419 that great H5892 city, H7121 and cry H7451 against it; for their wickedness H5927 is come up H6440 before me.

  3 H3124 But Jonah H6965 rose up H1272 to flee H8659 unto Tarshish H6440 from the presence H3068 of Jehovah; H3381 and he went down H3305 to Joppa, H4672 and found H591 a ship H935 going H8659 to Tarshish: H5414 so he paid H7939 the fare H3381 thereof, and went down H935 into it, to go H8659 with them unto Tarshish H6440 from the presence H3068 of Jehovah.

  4 H3068 But Jehovah H2904 sent out H1419 a great H7307 wind H3220 upon the sea, H1419 and there was a mighty H5591 tempest H3220 on the sea, H591 so that the ship H2803 was like H7665 to be broken.

  5 H4419 Then the mariners H3372 were afraid, H2199 and cried H376 every man H430 unto his god; H2904 and they cast forth H3627 the wares H591 that were in the ship H3220 into the sea, H7043 to lighten H3124 it unto them. But Jonah H3381 was gone down H3411 into the innermost parts H5600 of the ship; H7901 and he lay, H7290 and was fast asleep.

  6 H7227 So the shipmaster H7126 came H559 to him, and said H7290 unto him, What meanest thou, O sleeper? H6965 arise, H7121 call H430 upon thy God, H430 if so be that God H6245 will think H6 upon us, that we perish not.
