¹ Now Jesus went unto the mount of Olives: ² And in the morning he cometh again into the temple, and all the people came to him. ³ And the scribes and Pharisees brought a woman taken in sin, and when they had set her in the midst. ⁴ The priests say unto him, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him, Master this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act. ⁵ But Moses in the law commanded, to stone such women, But what sayst thou now? ⁶ But Jesus stooped down, and with [his] finger wrote on the ground. ⁷ So when they continued asking, he lift up himself and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her. ⁸ And again he stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground. ⁹ But every one of the Jews went out, beginning at the eldest, till all were gone out: and Jesus was left alone, the woman being in the midst. ¹⁰ When Jesus had lift up himself, he said to the woman, Where are those men? hath no one condemned thee? ¹¹ And she said to him, No one Lord. But he said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee; go away, and from this time sin no more. ¹² Jesus therefore spake again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me, shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. ¹³ The Pharisees therefore said unto him, Thou bearest record of they self, thy record is not true. ¹⁴ Jesus answered and said unto them, Though I bear record of my self, my record is true: for I know whence I came, and whither I go; but ye cannot tell whence I come, or whither I go. ¹⁵ Ye judge after the flesh; I judge no one. ¹⁶ And yet if I judge, my judgment is true: for I am not alone, but I and he that sent me. ¹⁷ It is also written in your law, that the testimony of two men is true. ¹⁸ I am one that bear witness of my self, and the Father that sent me, beareth witness of me. ¹⁹ Therefore said they unto him, Where is thy Father? Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye neither know me, nor my Father: If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also. ²⁰ These words he spake in the treasury, as he taught in the temple: and no one seized on him, for his hour was not yet come. ²¹ Then said he again unto them, I go away and ye shall seek me, and shall die in your sins: whither I go ye cannot come. ²² The Jews therefore said, Will he kill himself? because he saith, Whither I go ye cannot come. ²³ And he said unto them, Ye are from beneath, But I am from above: ye are of this world, I am not of this world. ²⁴ I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your Sins: for if ye believe not me that I am [he], ye shall die in your sins. ²⁵ They therefore said unto him, Who art thou? Jesus therefore said unto them, Even [he] that I said unto you from the beginning. ²⁶ I have many things to say, and to judge of you: but he that sent me is true; and I speak to the world those things which I heard of him. ²⁷ They understood not that he said God was his Father. ²⁸ Jesus said unto them again, When ye shall have lift up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am [he]; and I do nothing of my self; but as the Father hath taught me, I speak these things ²⁹ And he that sent me, is with me: He hath not left me alone: for I do always those things that please him. ³⁰ As he spake these words, many believed on him. ³¹ Jesus therefore said to those Jews who had believed on him, If ye will continue in my word, ye are my disciples indeed; ³² And ye shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free. ³³ They answered him and said, We be Abrahams seed, and were never in bondage to any one: how sayst thou, Ye shall be made free? ³⁴ Jesus answered them, Verily verily I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin, is a servant, ³⁵ And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever. ³⁶ If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. ³⁷ I know that ye are Abrahams seed; but ye seek to kill me, because my word hath no place in you. ³⁸ What things I have seen with my Father, Those I speak; and what things ye have seen with your father, those ye do. ³⁹ They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. Jesus therefore said unto them, If ye were Abrahams children, ye would do the works of Abraham. ⁴⁰ But now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you the truth, which he hath heard of God: this did not Abraham. ⁴¹ But ye do the deeds of your father. Then said they to him, We were not born of fornication; we have one Father, God, ⁴² Jesus therefore said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth, and came from God; for I came not of my self but he sent me. ⁴³ Why do ye not understand my speech? because ye cannot hear my word. ⁴⁴ Ye are of [your] father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do: he was a murderer of men from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. ⁴⁵ Because I tell the truth, ye believe me not. ⁴⁶ -- ⁴⁷ He that is of God, heareth Gods words: ye therefore hear [them] not. ⁴⁸ The Jews, answered and said unto him, Say we not well, that thou art a Samaritan, and hast a daemon? ⁴⁹ Jesus answered, I have not a daemon; but I honour my Father, and ye dishonour me. ⁵⁰ But I seek not mine own glory: there is one that seeketh and judgeth. ⁵¹ Verily verily I say unto you, whosoever observeth my saying, he shall never see death. ⁵² The Jews therefore said unto him, Now we have known that thou hast a daemon. Abraham is dead, and the prophets; and thou sayst, If a man observe my saying, he shall never taste of death. ⁵³ Art thou greater than Abraham, who is dead? and the prophets are dead: whom makest thou thy self? ⁵⁴ Jesus answered, If I shall honour my self, my honour is nothing: it is my Father that honoureth me, of whom ye say, that his is your God: ⁵⁵ Yet ye have not known him; but I know him: and If I should say, I know him not, I shall be a liar like unto you: but I know him, and observe his saying. ⁵⁶ Your father Abraham rejoyced to see my day: and he saw [it], and was glad. ⁵⁷ The Jews therefore said to him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham? ⁵⁸ Jesus therefore said unto them, Verily verily I say unto you, Before Abraham I am. ⁵⁹ Then took they up stones to cast at him: but Jesus hid himself and went out of the temple, and so passed by.

¹ And when they drew nigh unto Jerusalem, and were come to Bethphage, unto the mount of Olivet, then sent Jesus two disciples,

¹ And when he came nigh unto Jerusalem, and unto Bethany, at the mount of Olives, he sendeth forth two of his disciples;

³ And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, over against the temple, Peter, and James, and John, and Andrew asked him by himself,

³⁷ And when they were come nigh, even now at the descent of the mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoyce and praise God, for all the things that they had seen done.

¹ And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him. ² And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying,

⁵⁵ In that same hour said Jesus to the multitudes, Are ye come as against a thief with swords and staves to take me? I sat daily with you teaching in the temple, and ye laid no hold on me.

²⁰ And having closed the book, he gave [it] again to the minister, and sat down; and the eyes of all that were in the synagogue were fastned on him.

³ And he entred into one ship which was Simons, and prayed him that he would thrust out a very little from the land: and he sat down and taught the multitude in the ship.

³⁷ And in the daytime he was teaching in the temple, [and] lay at night in the mount that is called [the mount] of Olives.

³⁴ Jesus saith unto them, My food is that I may do the will of him that sent me, and finish his work.

²⁰ These words he spake in the treasury, as he taught in the temple: and no one seized on him, for his hour was not yet come.

¹⁷ Think not that I am come to destroy the law or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to perfect [them].

⁶ Wherefore they are no more two, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joyned together into one, let not man put asunder. ⁷ They say unto him, Why did Moses then command to give a bill of divorce, and to put [her] away? ⁸ And he saith unto them, Moses, because of the hardness of your hearts, suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so.

¹⁶ And they sent out unto him their disciples, with the Herodians, saying, Master we know that thou art true, and teachest the way of God in truth, neither carest thou for any man: for thou regardest not the person of men. ¹⁷ What thinkest thou? Is it lawful to give tribute unto Cesar, or not? ¹⁸ But Jesus perceived their wickedness, and said, Why tempt ye me, ye hypocrites?

¹⁶ Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.

²³ But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away, for she crieth behind us.

¹ The Pharisees also with the Sadducees came, and tempting, desired him that he would shew them a sign from heaven.

³ The Pharisees also came unto him, tempting him, and say unto him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for every fault?

¹⁸ But Jesus perceived their wickedness, and said, Why tempt ye me, ye hypocrites?

³⁵ Then one of them, a lawyer, asked a question, tempting him, and saying,

⁶³ But Jesus held his peace. The high priest therefore answered and said unto him, I adjure thee by the living God, that thou tell us, whether thou be the Christ, the Son of God.

¹¹ And the Pharisees came forth, and began to question with him, seeking of him a sign from heaven, tempting him.

² And the Pharisees asked him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife? tempting him.

¹⁵ But Jesus seeing their hypocrisie, said unto them, Why tempt ye me? bring me a denarius that I may see [it].

²⁵ But a certain lawyer stood up, and tempted him, saying, What shall I do to inherit eternal life?

¹⁶ And others tempting [him,] said, Give us a sign from Heaven.

⁵³ And as [he] said these things unto them, before all the people, the Pharisees and lawyers began to urge [him] vehemently, and to confer with him about many things: ⁵⁴ Seeking to obtain some occasion against him, that they might have wherewith to accuse him.

²⁰ And going away they sent forth spies, which should feign themselves to be just men, that they might take hold of his words that so they might deliver him unto the governor. ²¹ And they asked him, saying, Master, we know that thou sayst and teachest rightly, neither acceptest thou the person of anyone; but teachest the way of God in truth. ²² Is it lawful for us to give tribute unto Cesar, or no? ²³ But he perceived their wickedness, and said unto them, Why tempt ye me?

² And in the morning he cometh again into the temple, and all the people came to him.

⁹ Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents.

¹ Judge not, that ye be not judged. ² For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. ³ And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brothers eye, but perceivest not the beam that is in thine own eye? ⁴ Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull the mote out of thine eye; and behold a beam is in thine own eye? ⁵ Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brothers eye.

²⁵ Wo unto you scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites; for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess. ²⁶ Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that within the cup, that the outside of it may be clean also. ²⁷ Wo unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites; for ye are like unto whited sepulchres. The sepulchre appears beautiful outward, but is within full of dead mens bones, and of all uncleanness. ²⁸ Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisie and iniquity.

⁴⁶ But the officers answered, Never man spake as this man.

¹ Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest, does the same thing. ² But we are sure that the judgment of God is according to truth, against them who commit such things. ³ And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them who do such things, and dost the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God?

²¹ Thou therefore who teachest another, teachest thou not thy self? thou that preachest a man should not steal, dost thou steal? ²² Thou that sayst a man should not commit adultery, dost thou commit adultery? thou that abhorrest idols, dost thou commit sacrilege? ²³ Thou that makest thy boast of the law, through breaking the law dishonourest thou God? ²⁴ For the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles, through you, as it is written. ²⁵ For circumcision verily profiteth, if thou keep the law: but if thou be a breaker of the law, thy circumcision is made uncircumcision.

²⁴ But if all prophesy, and there come in one that believeth not, or unlearned, he is convinced of all, he is judged of all: ²⁵ And thus are the secrets of his heart made manifest; [and] falling down on [his] face, he will worship God, and report that God is in you of a truth.

⁶ Let your speech [be] alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.

¹² For the word of God [is] quick, and powerful, and sharper than a two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and [is] a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart: ¹³ Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things [are] naked, and opened unto the eyes of him of whom we speak.

¹⁶ And in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp two-edged sword: and his countenance as the sun shineth in his strength.

¹⁶ Repent therefore; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth.

¹⁵ And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the wine-press of the fierceness of the wrath of almighty God

¹⁴ And king Herod heard, for his name was spread abroad, and they said, That John the Baptist was risen from the dead, and therefore mighty works are done by him. ¹⁵ But Others said, That he is Elias. And others said, That he is one of the prophets. ¹⁶ But when Herod heard, he said, It is he whom I beheaded, He is risen from the dead.

¹ But as many people encompassed him round about, insomuch that they crouded one upon another, he began to say unto the disciples, First of all beware ye of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisie. ² For there is nothing covered, that they shall not be made manifest; neither hid, that shall not be known. ³ Therefore whatsoever ye have spoken in darkness, shall be heard in the light: and that which ye have spoken in the ear in closets, shall be proclaimed upon the house tops.

¹⁷ And, his adversaries were ashamed: and all the multitude rejoyced for all the glorious things, they had seen done by him.

¹⁰ When Jesus had lift up himself, he said to the woman, Where are those men? hath no one condemned thee?

¹² Jesus therefore spake again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me, shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

¹⁵ Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and thoughts the mean while accusing, or else excusing one another,

²² Thou that sayst a man should not commit adultery, dost thou commit adultery? thou that abhorrest idols, dost thou commit sacrilege?

²⁰ For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things.

²⁸ But what think you? A man had two sons, and he came to the first, and said, Son, go work to day in the vineyard. ²⁹ He answered and said, I will not: but afterward he repented and went into the vineyard. ³⁰ But he came to the other, and said likewise. And he answered and said, I go, Sir; and went not. ³¹ Whether of them two did the will of his father? They say, The first. Jesus saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, that the publicans and harlots go ito the kingdom of God before you.

³² I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

⁵⁶ And they went to another village.

¹³ And one of the company said unto him, Master, speak to my brother, that he divide the inheritance with me. ¹⁴ And he said unto him, Man, who made me a judge over you?

³ I tell you, No; but except ye shall repent, ye shall all likewise perish.

⁵ And I tell you, No; but except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.

⁷ But I say unto you, that likewise joy is in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, who need no repentance.

¹⁰ Likewise I say unto you, There shall be joy in the presence of the angels of God, over one sinner that repenteth.

³² It was meet that we should make merry, and be glad: for this thy brother was dead, and is alive again;was lost, and is found.

¹⁷ For God sent not his Son unto the world to judge the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

¹⁴ Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole; sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee.

¹⁵ Ye judge after the flesh; I judge no one.

³⁶ Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: If my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not I be delivered to the Jews: but now my kingdom is not from hence.

⁴ Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness, and forbearance, and long-suffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?

²⁰ Moreover, the law entered, that the offence might abound: But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound: ²¹ That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life, by Jesus Christ our Lord.

³ For rulers are not a terror to a good work, but to an evil one. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same: ⁴ For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain; for he is the minister of God, a revenger upon him that doth evil.

¹² For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within?

¹⁵ This [is] a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief. ¹⁶ Howbeit, for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me Jesus Christ might shew forth all his long-suffering, for a pattern to them who should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting.

¹⁵ And account the long-suffering of our Lord salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also, according to the wisdom given unto him, hath written unto you;

²¹ And I gave her space to repent; and she would not repent of her fornication. ²² Behold, I will cast her into prison, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they will repent of their deeds.

¹⁴ That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, ¹⁵ The land of Zabulon, and of Nephthalim, the way of the sea beyond Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles: ¹⁶ The people who sat in darkness, saw great light: To them who sat in the region and shadow of death, light is sprung up.

¹⁴ Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid.

⁷⁸ Through the bowels of the mercy of our God;whereby the day-spring from on high hath visited us, ⁷⁹ To enlighten them that sit in darkness, and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.

³² A light for a revelation [to the Gentiles] and the glory of thy people Israel.

⁴ And in him was life, and the life is the light of men. ⁵ And the light appeareth in darkness, and the darkness comprehended it not. ⁶ There was a man sent from God, his name was John, ⁷ He came for a witness, to bear witness of the light, that all through him might believe. ⁸ He was not the light, but was to bear witness of the light. ⁹ He was the true light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.

¹⁹ And this is the judgement, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

¹⁷ If any one will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or I speak of my self.

⁵ As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.

³⁵ Jesus therefore said unto them, Yet a little while is the light among you: walk therefore while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth.

⁴⁶ I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me, should not abide in darkness.

⁶ Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, and the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

⁴⁷ For so hath the Lord commanded us, Behold I have set thee to be a light to the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of the earth.

²³ That Christ should suffer, that he should be the first that should rise from the dead, and should shew light unto the people, and to the Gentiles.

⁴ For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast [them] down to Tartarus, and delivered [them] into chains [and] darknesses to be reserved to be punished;

¹⁷ These are wells without water, and mists that are carried with a tempest, to whom the blackness of darkness is reserved for ever.

⁶ But the angels who kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved everlasting chains under darkness, unto the judgment of the great day.

¹³ Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever.

²⁴ And the nations shall walk [by] the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory unto it.

³¹ If I bear witness of my self, my witness is not true. ³² There is another that beareth witness of me, and ye know that his testimony which he witnesseth of me, is true. ³³ Ye sent unto John, and he bare witness unto the truth. ³⁴ But I receive not testimony from men; but these things I say, that ye might be saved. ³⁵ He was a burning and shining light; and ye were willing for a season to rejoyce in his light. ³⁶ But I have a greater testimony than [that] of John: for the works which the Father hath given me to finish the same works that I do, bear witness of me, that my Father hath sent me. ³⁷ And the Father who hath sent me, he himself beareth witness of me. Ye have neither heard his voice, nor seen his shape. ³⁸ And ye have not his word abiding in you, for whom he hath sent, him ye believe not. ³⁹ Search the scriptures, for in them ye think ye have eternal life, and they are they which testifie of me. ⁴⁰ And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life eternal. ⁴¹ I receive not honour from men. ⁴² But I know you, that ye have not the love of God in you. ⁴³ I am come in my Fathers name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive. ⁴⁴ How can ye believe, who receive honour one of another, and seek not the honour that is from God only? ⁴⁵ Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father; there is that accuseth you, Moses, in whom ye have trusted. ⁴⁶ For had ye believed Moses, ye would also have believed me: for he wrote of me.

⁴⁶ But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words?

²⁷ But we know him whence he is: but when Christ shall come, no one knoweth whence he is. ²⁸ Jesus therefore cryed as he taught, in the Temple saying, Ye both know me, and ye know whence I am: and I am not come of my self, but he that sent me is true, whom ye know not. ²⁹ But I know him, for I am from him, and he hath sent me.

⁴² Jesus therefore said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth, and came from God; for I came not of my self but he sent me.

²⁹ We know that God hath spoken unto Moses, and that God heareth not sinners. As for this man, we know not whence he is. ³⁰ The man answered and said, Why, herein is a marvellous thing, that ye know not whence he is, and he hath opened mine eyes.

¹⁵ As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I give [my] life for the sheep.

³⁶ Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, that Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God?

³ He knowing that the Father had given him all things into [his] hands, and that he was come from God, and that he went to God.

¹⁰ Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I have spoken unto you, I spake not of my self: but the Father, that abideth in me, he doth his works.

²⁸ I came forth from the Father, and am come unto the world: again, I leave the world, and go to the Father.

⁸ For I have given unto them thy words which thou hast given me; and they have received them truly, because I came out from thee; and they have believed that thou didst send me.

³¹ The God of Israel, and the Father of our Lord Jesus Chrit, who is blessed for evermore, knoweth that I lie not.

¹¹ I am become a fool; ye have compelled me: for I ought to have been commended of you: for in nothing am I behind the very chief apostles, though I be nothing.

¹⁹ Again, think you that we excuse our selves unto you? we speak before God in Christ: but all things, dearly beloved, [are] for your edifying.

¹⁴ And onto the angel of the church which is at Laodicea, write, These things saith the Amen, the faithful andtrue witness, the beginning of the creation of God;

¹⁴ And he said unto him, Man, who made me a judge over you?

²⁴ Judge not according to appearance, but judge righteous judgment.

¹¹ And she said to him, No one Lord. But he said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee; go away, and from this time sin no more.

⁴⁷ And if any one hear my words, and keep them not, I judge him not: for I came not that I might judge the world, but that I might save the world.

¹ Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest, does the same thing.

¹⁵ But he that is spiritual, judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.

³ But with me it is a very small thing, that I should be judged of you, or of man's judgment: yea, I judge not mine own self. ⁴ For I know nothing by my self, yet am I not hereby justified: but he that judgeth me is the Lord. ⁵ Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come; who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts; and then shall every one have praise of God.

⁴ Are ye not then partial in your selves, and are become judges of evil thoughts?

²² For the Father judgeth no man; but hath given all judgment unto the Son; ²³ That all should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son, neither honoureth he the Father who hath sent him. ²⁴ Verily verily I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath eternal life, and shall not come into judgement; but is passed from death unto life. ²⁵ Verily verily I say unto you, That the hour cometh and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God; and they that hear shall live. ²⁶ For as the living Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself: ²⁷ And hath given him authority to execute judgement, because he is the Son of man. ²⁸ Marvel not at this; for the hour cometh in which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice. ²⁹ And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that do evil, unto the resurrection of condemnation. ³⁰ I can of mine one self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.

²⁹ And he that sent me, is with me: He hath not left me alone: for I do always those things that please him.

³² Behold the hour cometh, yea, is come, that ye shall be scattered, every one to his own, and shall leave me alone: and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me.

³¹ As he hath appointed a day to judge the world in righteousness, by the man Jesus, whom he hath ordained; to give assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.

¹¹ And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him faithful and true, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.

¹⁶ But if he will not hear, take with thee one of two more, that in the mouth of two or three every word may be established

³⁴ Jesus answered them and said, Is it not written in your law, that I said, Ye are gods?

²⁵ But that the word might be fulfilled that is written in their law, that They hated me without a cause.

¹ This [is] the third time I am coming to you: In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established.

²⁴ Wherefore the law was our school-master, unto Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith.

²¹ Tell me, ye that desire to be under the law, do ye not hear the law?

²⁸ He that despised Moses law, died without mercy and tears, under two or three witnesses:

⁹ If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God, because he hath testified of his Son.

³ And I will give unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred threescore days clothed in sackcloth.

³¹ If I bear witness of my self, my witness is not true. ³² There is another that beareth witness of me, and ye know that his testimony which he witnesseth of me, is true. ³³ Ye sent unto John, and he bare witness unto the truth. ³⁴ But I receive not testimony from men; but these things I say, that ye might be saved. ³⁵ He was a burning and shining light; and ye were willing for a season to rejoyce in his light. ³⁶ But I have a greater testimony than [that] of John: for the works which the Father hath given me to finish the same works that I do, bear witness of me, that my Father hath sent me. ³⁷ And the Father who hath sent me, he himself beareth witness of me. Ye have neither heard his voice, nor seen his shape. ³⁸ And ye have not his word abiding in you, for whom he hath sent, him ye believe not. ³⁹ Search the scriptures, for in them ye think ye have eternal life, and they are they which testifie of me. ⁴⁰ And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life eternal.

²⁵ They therefore said unto him, Who art thou? Jesus therefore said unto them, Even [he] that I said unto you from the beginning.

³⁸ What things I have seen with my Father, Those I speak; and what things ye have seen with your father, those ye do.

⁵¹ Verily verily I say unto you, whosoever observeth my saying, he shall never see death.

⁵⁸ Jesus therefore said unto them, Verily verily I say unto you, Before Abraham I am.

⁹ I am the door: by me if any man shall enter in, he shall be saved and shall go in, and to out and find pasture.

¹¹ I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.

¹⁴ I am the good shepherd, and know mine, and mine know me.

³⁰ I and the Father are one.

²⁵ Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth on me, though he were dead, yet shall he live;

⁴ God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to the will of God.

⁶ This is he that came by water, and blood, and the Spirit, Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood, and the Spirit: and it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth. ⁷ For there are three that bear record. ⁸ The spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one. ⁹ If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God, because he hath testified of his Son. ¹⁰ He that believeth on the Son of God, hath the record in himself: he that believeth not the Son hath made himself a liar, because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son. ¹¹ And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life: and this life is in his Son. ¹² He that hath the Son, hath life; he that hath not the Son of God, hath not life.

¹⁷ And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead: and he laid his right hand upon me, saying. Fear not; I am the first begotten, and the last: ¹⁸ He that liveth, and was dead; and behold, I am alive for evermore; and have the keys of hades and of death.

²⁵ At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid there things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes,

²¹ But in that hour he rejoyced in the Holy Spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hidden these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes: even so Father, for so was thy good pleasure. ²² All things are delivered to me of the Father; and, and no one knoweth who the Son is, but the Father; and who the Father is,but the Son, and he to whom the Son will reveal [him.]

¹⁰ He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.

¹⁸ No one hath Seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared [him].

²⁸ Jesus therefore cryed as he taught, in the Temple saying, Ye both know me, and ye know whence I am: and I am not come of my self, but he that sent me is true, whom ye know not.

⁵⁴ Jesus answered, If I shall honour my self, my honour is nothing: it is my Father that honoureth me, of whom ye say, that his is your God: ⁵⁵ Yet ye have not known him; but I know him: and If I should say, I know him not, I shall be a liar like unto you: but I know him, and observe his saying.

¹⁴ I am the good shepherd, and know mine, and mine know me. ¹⁵ As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I give [my] life for the sheep.

⁶ Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, and the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. ⁷ If ye had known me, ye would have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him. ⁸ Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us. ⁹ Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you; and yet hast thou not know me Philip? he that hath seen me, hath seen the Father; and how sayst thou, Shew us the Father?

²¹ But these things will they do unto you for my names sake, because they know not him that sent me.

³ And these things will they do unto you, because they have not known the Father, nor me.

³ And this is life eternal, that they may know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom thou hast sent into this world.

²⁵ O righteous Father, this world hath not know thee; but I have known thee, and these have known that thou hast sent me. ²⁶ And I have made known unto them thy name, and will make it know: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me, may be in them, and I in them.

³⁴ Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.

⁴ In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them who believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine. ⁵ For we preach not our selves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and our selves your servants for Jesus sake. ⁶ For God commanded the light to shine out of darkness, [and] hath shined in our hearts, to illuminate the knowledge of his glory, in the person of Jesus Christ.

⁹ But now after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage?

¹⁷ That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation, in the knowledge of him;

¹⁰ That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the Knowledge of God;

¹⁵ Who is the image of the invisible God, the first-born of the whole creation.

³ Who being a beam of his glory, and the express image of his substance, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high:

²⁰ And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding that we may know the true God: and we are in him that is true, in his Son. This is the true God, and eternal life.

⁹ Whosoever goeth before, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God: he that abideth in the doctrine, he hath both the Father and the Son.

⁶ And the chief priests took the pieces of silver and said, It is not lawful to put them into the treasury, because it is the price of blood.

⁴¹ And Jesus sat over against the treasury, and beheld how the multitude cast in much.

⁴³ And Jesus called unto him his disciples, and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, that this poor widow hath cast more in than all they who have cast into the treasury.

³¹ The same hour there came certain of the Pharisees, to him, saying, Get thee out, and depart hence: for Herod seeketh to kill thee. ³² And he said unto them, Go ye and tell that fox, Behold, I cast out daemons, and I shall do cures to day, and to morrow, and the third day I shall be perfected. ³³ Nevertheless, I must walk today, and to morrow, and the day following: for it cannot be that a prophet perish out of Jerusalem.

¹⁹ And the chief priests and the scribes the same hour sought to lay hands on him; But they feared the people: for they perceived that he had spoken this parable against them.

⁸ Go ye up unto the feast: I go not up unto this feast, for my time is not yet full come.

³⁰ Then they sought to take him: but no man laid hand on him, because his hour was not yet come.

⁴⁴ And some of them would have taken him; but no one laid hands on him.

⁵⁹ Then took they up stones to cast at him: but Jesus hid himself and went out of the temple, and so passed by.

³⁹ And they sought to take him: but he escaped out of their hand,

⁹ Jesus answered, Hath not the day twelve hours? If any one walk in the day, he stumbleth not, because he seeth the light of this world. ¹⁰ But if any one walk in the night, he stumbleth, because there is not light in him.

³⁹ For I say unto you, that ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of God.

²³ Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is the Christ, or there: ye shall not believe [it]. ²⁴ For there will be raised false Christs, and false prophets, and will shew great signs and wonders, insomuch that if possible the very elect should be deceived.

⁴¹ Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into eternal fire, which my Father hath prepared for the devil and his angels:

⁴⁶ And these shall go away into eternal punishment: but the righteous into eternal life.

²² And it came to pass that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abrahams bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried. ²³ And in hades he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus resting in his bosom. ²⁴ And he cried earnestly and said, Father Abraham have mercy on me, and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame. ²⁵ But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is here comforted, and thou art pained. ²⁶ And besides all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they who would pass to you cannot; neither can they pass hither, from thence.

³⁴ Ye shall seek me, and shall not find [me]: and where I am, ye cannot come.

²⁴ I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your Sins: for if ye believe not me that I am [he], ye shall die in your sins.

³³ But he said this signifing what death he should die.

³³ Little children, yet a little while I am with you. Ye shall seek me: and as I said unto the Jews, that Whither I go, ye cannot come; so now I say unto you.

¹⁷ And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins. ¹⁸ Then they also who are fallen asleep in Christ, are perished.

¹ And you who were dead in your trespasses and sins,

²⁰ The multitude answered and said, Thou hast a daemon: who seeketh to kill thee?

³⁵ The Jews therefore said among themselves. Whither will he go, that we shall not find him? will he go unto the dispersion of the Greeks, and teach the Greeks?

⁴⁸ The Jews, answered and said unto him, Say we not well, that thou art a Samaritan, and hast a daemon?

⁵² The Jews therefore said unto him, Now we have known that thou hast a daemon. Abraham is dead, and the prophets; and thou sayst, If a man observe my saying, he shall never taste of death.

²⁰ Many of them therefore said, He hath a daemon, and is mad; why hear ye him?

³ For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.

¹³ Let us go forth therefore unto him without the camp, bearing his reproach.

¹⁴ And the Word was made flesh, and pitched his tabernacle among us, and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.

¹³ And no one hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, the Son of man who is in heaven.

³¹ --

¹⁸ If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me first, ¹⁹ If ye were of the world, the world would love its own: Because ye were not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.

¹⁴ But I have given them thy word; and the world hateth them, because they are not of this world.

¹⁶ They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

⁷ Because the carnal mind [is] enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. ⁸ So then they that are in the flesh, cannot please God.

⁴⁷ The first man [is] of the earth, earthy: the second man [is] from heaven. ⁴⁸ As [is] the earthy, such [are] they also that are earthy: and as [is] the heavenly, such [are] they also that are heavenly.

¹⁹ Whose end [is] destruction, whose God [is the] belly: and glory [is] in their shame, who mind earthly things. ²⁰ For our conversation is in heaven, from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ: ²¹ Who shall change our vile body, [to be] like unto his glorious body; according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.

¹⁵ This wisdom descendeth not from above, but [is] earthly, sensual, devilish. ¹⁶ For where envying and strife [is], there [is] also confusion, and every evil work. ¹⁷ But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, easy to be entrated, full of mercy and good fruits, without wavering, without hypocrisy.

⁴ Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world, is the enemy of God.

¹⁵ Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of God is not in him. ¹⁶ For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world,

⁵ They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them. ⁶ We are of God: he that knoweth God, heareth us; Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

¹⁹ We know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in the wicked one. ²⁰ And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding that we may know the true God: and we are in him that is true, in his Son. This is the true God, and eternal life.

⁶ For many shall come in my name, saying, I am he: and shall deceive many.

¹⁶ For he that believeth and is baptized, shall be saved; but he that believeth not, shall be condemned.

⁸ But he said, See that ye be not deceived: for many will come in my name, saying, I am He, and the time draweth near: go ye not after them.

¹⁸ He that believeth on him shall not be judged: but he that believeth not, is judged already, because he hath not believed on the name of the only begotten Son of God.

³⁶ That he who believeth on the Son, may have eternal life: But he that believeth not the Son, shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

²⁶ Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee, am [he].

²¹ Then said he again unto them, I go away and ye shall seek me, and shall die in your sins: whither I go ye cannot come.

¹⁹ Now I tell you before it come, that when it is come to pass, ye may believe that I am [he].

¹² Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given to men whereby we must be saved.

³ How shall we escape if we neglect so great salvation? which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard [him];

²⁶ For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there is not another sacrifice left still to be offered. ²⁷ But a certain fearful looking for of judgment, and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. ²⁸ He that despised Moses law, died without mercy and tears, under two or three witnesses: ²⁹ Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath troden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?

²⁵ Seethat ye refuse not him that speaketh to you: For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more we, if we turn away from him that is from the heavens:

⁶⁷ Saying, Art thou the Christ? But he said unto them, If I tell you, you will not believe.

¹⁹ And this is the record of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to him to ask him, Who art thou?

²² Then said they unto him, Who are thou? that we may give an answer to them that sent us: what sayst thou of thy self?

¹⁷ But Jesus answered them, My father worketh hitherto, and I work. ¹⁸ The Jews therefore the more sought to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making himself equal to God. ¹⁹ Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily verily, I say unto you, The Son of man cannot do any thing of himself, but what he seeth the father do; for what things soever he shall do, these also doth the Son likewise. ²⁰ For the Father loveth the Son, and sheweth him all things that himself doth: and he sheweth him greater works than these, that ye may marvel. ²¹ For as the Father raiseth up the dead, and quickneth [them]; even so the Son quickneth whom he will. ²² For the Father judgeth no man; but hath given all judgment unto the Son; ²³ That all should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. ²⁴ The Jews therefore came about him, and said unto him, How long dost thou make us to doubt? If thou be the Christ, tell us plainly.

⁹ And they went again into the judgment-hall, and he saith unto Jesus, Whence art thou? But Jesus gave no answer.

³² But he that cometh from above, is above all: he that is of the earth, is of the earth, and speaketh of the earth. He that cometh from heaven, testifyeth, what he hath seen and heard, and no one receiveth his testimony. ³³ He that hath received his testimony, hath set to his seal, that God is true.

⁴² But I know you, that ye have not the love of God in you. ⁴³ I am come in my Fathers name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.

¹⁶ Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me.

¹⁶ And yet if I judge, my judgment is true: for I am not alone, but I and he that sent me. ¹⁷ It is also written in your law, that the testimony of two men is true.

⁴⁰ But now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you the truth, which he hath heard of God: this did not Abraham.

³⁹ And Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world: that they who see not, might see; and that they who see, might be made blind. ⁴⁰ But some of the Pharisees who were with him heard, and said unto him, Are we blind also? ⁴¹ Jesus therefore said unto them, If ye were blind, ye should have no sin: but now ye say, We see: therefore your sins remain.

⁴⁷ And if any one hear my words, and keep them not, I judge him not: for I came not that I might judge the world, but that I might save the world. ⁴⁸ He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day. ⁴⁹ For I have not spoken of my self; but the Father who sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak. ⁵⁰ And I know that his commandment is life eternal: what therefore I speak, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.

¹⁵ Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father, I have made known unto you.

¹² I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.

¹⁸ But God [is] true, our word toward you, was not yes and no.

¹¹ Of whom also we have many things to say, and hard to be uttered; seeing ye are dull of hearing. ¹² For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which [be] the first principles of the words of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.

⁴³ Why do ye not understand my speech? because ye cannot hear my word.

⁴⁷ He that is of God, heareth Gods words: ye therefore hear [them] not.

⁷ What then? Israel hath not obtained that which he seeketh for; but the election hath obtained it, and the rest were blinded: ⁸ According as it is written, God hath given them the spirit of slumber, eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not hear, unto this day. ⁹ And David saith, Let their table be made a share, and a trap, and a stumbling-block, and a recompence unto them. ¹⁰ Let their eyes be darkned, that they may not see, and bow down their back alway.

³ But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: ⁴ In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them who believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine.

⁵⁰ Jesus when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost. ⁵¹ And behold, the vail of the temple was rent in two from the top to the bottom, and the earth did quake, and the rocks were rent. ⁵² And the graves were opened, and many bodies of saints which slept were raised, ⁵³ And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many. ⁵⁴ Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son God.

¹¹ Verily verily I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testifie that we have seen; and ye receive not our testimony.

¹⁴ And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:

¹⁹ Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily verily, I say unto you, The Son of man cannot do any thing of himself, but what he seeth the father do; for what things soever he shall do, these also doth the Son likewise.

³⁰ I can of mine one self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.

³⁸ For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of the father that sent me.

⁴² I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people who stand by, I said [it], that they may believe that thou hast sent me.

³² And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all things unto me. ³³ But he said this signifing what death he should die. ³⁴ The multitude answered him, We have heard out of the law, that Christ abideth for ever: and how sayest thou, that The Son of man must be lift up? Who is therefore this Son of man?

¹⁰ And of righteousness, because I go to the Father, and ye see me no more;

¹⁸ Where they crucified him, and two others with him, on either side one, but Jesus in the midst.

⁴¹ Then they that believed his word, were baptized; and the same day there were added about three thousand souls.

⁴ But many of them which heard the word, believed; and the number of the men was about five thousand.

⁴ And fore ordained the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:

¹⁵ Who both killed the Lord Jesus, and the prophets, and have persecuted us; and please not God, and are contrary to all men: ¹⁶ Forbidding us to speak to the Gentiles, that they might be saved, to fill up their sins alway: for the wrath of God is come upon them to the uttermost.

² For if the word spoken by angels was stedfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompence of reward; ³ How shall we escape if we neglect so great salvation? which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard [him];

¹⁷ And lo, a voice from heaven, saying unto him, Thou art my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

⁵ While he yet spake, behold a bright cloud over-shadowed them: and behold, a voice out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.

¹⁶ And yet if I judge, my judgment is true: for I am not alone, but I and he that sent me.

¹⁰ Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I have spoken unto you, I spake not of my self: but the Father, that abideth in me, he doth his works. ¹¹ Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe for the very works sake,

³¹ But that the world may know that I love the Father; and as he commanded me, even so I do. Arise, let us go hence.

¹⁰ If ye shall keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I also have kept my Fathers commandments, and abide in his love.

⁴ I have glorified thee on the earth: And I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.

¹⁷ Notwithstanding, the Lord stood with me, and strengthened me; that by me the preaching might be fully known, and all the Gentiles might hear: and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.

²² The Lord Jesus Christ [be] with thy spirit. Grace [be] with us: Farewel in peace: Amen.

¹⁵ For we have not an high priest who cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, without sin.

⁸ Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience, by the things which he suffered: ⁹ And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;

²⁶ For such an high priest became us also, holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;

⁵ Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me: ⁶ In burnt-offering and [offering] for sin thou hast had no pleasure: ⁷ Then said I, Lo, I come, For in the volume of the book it is written of me, to do thy will, O God. ⁸ Above, when he said, Sacrifices, and offerings, and burnt offerings, and [offerings] for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure, which are offered by the law; ⁹ Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second. ¹⁰ By the which will we have been sanctified, through the offering of the blood of Jesus Christ once.

¹ My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:

²³ Now when he was in Jerusalem at the passover, in the feast, many believed on his name, when they saw the signs which be did.

¹⁴ Then those men, when they had seen the miracle that he did, said, This is that prophet that should come into the world.

³¹ And many of the multitude believed on him, and said, Christ when he cometh, will he do more miracles than this [man] hath done?

⁴² And many believed him there.

⁴⁵ Many therefore of the Jews who came to Mary, and had seen what Jesus did, believed on him.

¹³ But he that shall have endured unto the end, the same shall be saved.

⁴⁷ Jesus saw Nathaniel coming to him, and saith of him, Behold an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile.

⁵⁵ For my flesh is meat indeed.

⁶⁶ From this [time] many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him. ⁶⁷ But Jesus said to the twelve, Will ye also go away? ⁶⁸ But Simon Peter said, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life. ⁶⁹ And we have believed, and have known thee, that thou art the Holy One of God. ⁷⁰ Jesus answered, saying, Have not I chosen you twelve, and one of you is a devil? ⁷¹ He spake of Judas Scarioth [the son] of Simon: for he was to betray him, [being] one of the twelve.

³⁶ If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

⁴ As the branch cannot bear fruit of it self, except it abide in the vine: so neither can ye, except ye abide in me. ⁵ For I am the vine, ye [are] the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, he bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye cannot do any [thing]. ⁶ If any one abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and they gather it, and cast [it] into the fire, and it is burned. ⁷ But if ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatsoever ye will, and it shall be done. ⁸ Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit, so be ye my disciples. ⁹ As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: abide ye in my love.

⁴³ Now when the congregation was broken up, many of the Jews, and religious proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas, who speaking to them, persuaded them to continue in the grace of God. But it came to pass that the word of God went through all the city,

²² Confirming the souls of the disciples, [and] exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation come into the kingdom of God.

²² Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great; saying none other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come:

⁷ To them who by patient continuance in well-doing, seek for glory, and honour, and immortality; eternal life:

²² Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but towards thee, goodness, if thou continue in [his] goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off,

²³ If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, which was preached to all the creation that is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister.

¹⁵ Notwithstanding she shall be saved in child-bearing, if they continue in faith and charity, and holiness with sobriety.

¹⁶ Take heed unto thy self, and unto thy doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt save both thy self, and them that hear thee.

³ Honour widows that are widows indeed. ⁴ But if any widow have children or grandchildren, let them learn first to teach their own houses piety, and to requite their parents: for that is acceptable before God. ⁵ Now she that is a widow indeed, and desolate, hath trusted in the Lord, and continued in supplications and prayers night and day.

¹⁴ But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned, and hast been assured of; knowing of whom thou hast learned;

¹⁴ For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;

⁹ Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord.

³⁸ Now the just shall live by my faith: but if he draw back, my foul shall have no pleasure in him. ³⁹ But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition: but of them that believe, to the saving of the soul.

²⁵ But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth [in it,] being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.

¹⁹ They went out from us, but they were not of us: for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us; but that they might be made manifest, that they were not all of us.

²⁴ Let that abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning, shall abide in you, ye also shall abide in the Son, and in the Father.

²⁹ Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me, for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

¹¹ He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given. ¹² For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away, even that he hath.

⁴⁵ It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Everyone that heareth, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me.

¹³ When he, the Spirit of truth shall come, he will guide you in all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, he will speak: and he will tell you things to come.

¹⁷ Sanctifie them in the truth; they word is truth.

¹⁴ For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. ¹⁵ What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid. ¹⁶ Or know ye not, that to whom ye yield your selves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness? ¹⁷ But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin: but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine to which ye were delivered. ¹⁸ Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.

²² But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.

² For the law of the Spirit of life, in Christ Jesus, hath made me free from the law of sin and death,

¹⁵ For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

¹⁷ Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord [is, is] liberty. ¹⁸ But we all with open face, beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image, from glory to glory, as by the Spirit of the Lord.

¹ Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and e not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.

¹³ For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only [use] not liberty for an occasion of the flesh, but by love of the Spirit serve one another.

²⁵ In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth; ²⁶ And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.

⁷ Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

¹² Sospeak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty.

¹⁶ As free, and not using liberty for a cloke of wickedness; but as the servants of God.

⁹ And think not to say within your selves, We have Abraham to [our] father: for I say unto you, that God is able of there stones to raise up children unto Abraham.

³⁷ I know that ye are Abrahams seed; but ye seek to kill me, because my word hath no place in you.

³⁹ They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. Jesus therefore said unto them, If ye were Abrahams children, ye would do the works of Abraham.

²⁵ Now there stood by the cross of Jesus, his mother, and his mothers sister, Mary [the] daughter of Cleophas, and Mary Magdalene.

¹⁸ For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be done.

³ Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily verily say unto thee, Except any one be born (born again, Vulg.), from above he cannot see the Kingdom of God.

²³ For I see that thou art in the gall of bitterness, and the bond of iniquity.

⁶ Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with [him], that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.

¹² Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it.

¹⁶ Or know ye not, that to whom ye yield your selves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

¹⁹ I speak after the manner of men, because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity, unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness, unto holiness. ²⁰ For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness

¹⁴ For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.

²⁵ The grace of God, through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then, with the mind I my self serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.

²¹ Because the creature it self also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption, unto the glorious liberty of the children of God.

² Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience.

³ For we our selves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, [and] hating one another.

¹⁹ While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage.

⁸ But he that committeth sin, is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. ⁹ Whosoever is born of God doth not commit Sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. ¹⁰ In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: Whosoever doeth not righteousness, is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.

⁴¹ They say unto him, He will miserable destroy those wicked men, and will let out the vineyard to other Husbandmen, who shall render him the fruits in their seasons. ⁴² Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, he is become the head of the corner? this [head] is the Lord's doing, and is marvellous in our eyes. ⁴³ Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof.

³¹ And he said unto him, Thou art ever with me, and all that I have is thine;

¹⁹ Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more: but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also. ²⁰ In that day ye shall know, that I [am] in my Father, and you in me, and I in you.

¹⁵ For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. ¹⁶ Wherefore the Spirit it self beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God. ¹⁷ And if children, then fellow heirs; heirs of God, and fellow heirs with Christ: if so be that we suffer with [him], that we may be also glorified together.

²⁹ For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate [to be] conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the first-born among many brethren. ³⁰ Moreover, whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.

⁴ But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, ⁵ To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons, ⁶ And because ye are ons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father. ⁷ Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.

³⁰ Nevertheless, what saith the scripture? Cast out the bond-woman and her son: for the son of the bond woman shall not be heir with my son Isaac. ³¹ So, Brethren, we are not children of the bond-woman, but of the free.

³ For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.

⁵ And Moses verily [was] faithful in all his house as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after; ⁶ But Christ as a Son over his own house: which house are we, if we hold fast the confidence, and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end.

² Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit unto obedience, and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you and peace be multiplied. ³ Blessed [be] the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope, by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, ⁴ To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, ⁵ Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation, ready to be revealed in the last time.

¹⁸ The spirit of the Lord [is] upon me, because he hath anointed me; I am sent to preach the gospel to the poor, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,

³¹ Jesus therefore said to those Jews who had believed on him, If ye will continue in my word, ye are my disciples indeed; ³² And ye shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free.

¹⁷ Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord [is, is] liberty.

¹⁵ For this peoples heart is waxed gross and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with [their] eyes, and hear with [their] ears, and should mind it with [their] heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.

¹⁹ When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and mindeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth [away] that which was sown in their heart: this is he which received seed by the way-side. ²⁰ But he that received the seed in the rocky Places, the same is he that heareth the word, and presently with joy receiveth it: ²¹ Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, presently he is offended. ²² He also that received seed among the thorns, is he that heareth the word: and the care of the age, and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful.

¹⁶ And therefore did the Jews persecute Jesus, because he had done these things on the sabbath. ¹⁷ But Jesus answered them, My father worketh hitherto, and I work. ¹⁸ The Jews therefore the more sought to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making himself equal to God.

⁴⁴ How can ye believe, who receive honour one of another, and seek not the honour that is from God only?

¹ After these things, Jesus walked in Galilee; for he would not walk in Judea, because the Jews sought to kill him.

¹⁹ Did not Moses give you the law? and none of you keepeth the law, Why do ye seek to kill me?

²⁵ Some therefore of them of Jerusalem, said, Is not this he whom they seek to kill?

⁶ But Jesus stooped down, and with [his] finger wrote on the ground.

³³ They answered him and said, We be Abrahams seed, and were never in bondage to any one: how sayst thou, Ye shall be made free?

³⁹ They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. Jesus therefore said unto them, If ye were Abrahams children, ye would do the works of Abraham. ⁴⁰ But now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you the truth, which he hath heard of God: this did not Abraham.

⁴⁵ Because I tell the truth, ye believe me not. ⁴⁶ -- ⁴⁷ He that is of God, heareth Gods words: ye therefore hear [them] not.

³¹ Then the Jews took up stones to stone him.

⁵³ From that day therefore they took counsel together that they might put him to death.

³⁹ Therefore they could not believe, because Esaias said, ⁴⁰ He hath blinded [them], that they should not see with [their] eyes, nor understand with [their] heart, and be converted, and I should heal them. ⁴¹ But these things said Esaias, when he saw the glory of God there, and spake of him. ⁴² Nevertheless among the chief rulers also, many believed on him; but because of the Pharisees they did not confess [him], lest they should be put out of the synagogue. ⁴³ For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.

²⁶ Men, Brethren, children of the family of Abraham, and whosoever among us feareth God, to us is the word of this salvation sent forth.

⁷ Neither because they are the seed of Abraham, [are they] all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called.

¹⁴ But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him; neither can he know [them], because they are spiritually discerned.

⁷ But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?

³² But he that cometh from above, is above all: he that is of the earth, is of the earth, and speaketh of the earth. He that cometh from heaven, testifyeth, what he hath seen and heard, and no one receiveth his testimony.

²⁶ I have many things to say, and to judge of you: but he that sent me is true; and I speak to the world those things which I heard of him.

⁴¹ But ye do the deeds of your father. Then said they to him, We were not born of fornication; we have one Father, God,

⁴⁴ Ye are of [your] father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do: he was a murderer of men from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

²⁴ He that loveth me not, will not keep my sayings: and the word which you hear, is not mine, but his who sent me.

⁴⁵ That ye may be children of your Father who is in the heavens; for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

²⁸ For he is not a Jew, who is one outwardly; neither circumcision, which is outward in the flesh: ²⁹ But he [is] a Jew, who is one inwardly; and circumcision [is] of the heart, in the spirit, not in the letter, whose praise is not of men but of God.

¹² And the father of circumcision to them who are not of the circumcision only, but also walk in the steps of that faith of our father Abraham.

¹⁶ Therefore [it is] of the faith of Jesus, by grace; to the end that the promise might be sure to all the seed, not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all,

⁷ Know ye therefore, that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham.

²⁹ And if ye be one in Christ Jesus, then indeed are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

²² Seest then how faith cooperated with his works, and by works was faith made perfect? ²³ And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed to him for righteousness: and he was called the friend of God. ²⁴ Ye see that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.

³⁷ I know that ye are Abrahams seed; but ye seek to kill me, because my word hath no place in you. ³⁸ What things I have seen with my Father, Those I speak; and what things ye have seen with your father, those ye do.

⁵⁶ Your father Abraham rejoyced to see my day: and he saw [it], and was glad.

¹⁶ Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth?

²⁹ But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him after the Spirit, even so [it is] now.

¹² Not as Cain was of that wicked one, and slew his brother: And wherefore slew he him? Because his own Works were evil, and his brothers righteous. ¹³ Marvel not, Brethren, if the world hate you. ¹⁴ We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren: he that loveth [them] not abideth in death. ¹⁵ Whosoever hateth his brother, is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.

⁴ And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman, who was ready to be delivered, forto devour her child assoon as it was born.

¹² Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Wo to the inhabiters of the earth, and of the sea: for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time. ¹³ And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child[.]

¹⁷ And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, who keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus.

²³ That all should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son, neither honoureth he the Father who hath sent him.

⁴³ I am come in my Fathers name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.

⁴⁹ For I have not spoken of my self; but the Father who sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.

²³ He that hateth me, hateth my Father also. ²⁴ If I had not done among them the works which no one else had done, they had not had sin: but now have they both seen me, and hated me and my Father.

²⁷ For the Father himself loveth you, because ye have loved me, and have believed that I came out from the Father. ²⁸ I came forth from the Father, and am come unto the world: again, I leave the world, and go to the Father.

²⁵ O righteous Father, this world hath not know thee; but I have known thee, and these have known that thou hast sent me.

²² If any man love not the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be anathema, Maran-atha.

⁴ But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,

⁹ In this was manifested the love of God towards us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. ¹⁰ Herein is love; not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son the propitiation for our sins.

¹⁴ And we have seen, and do testify, that the Father sent the Son, the Saviour of the World.

¹ Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ, is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat, loveth him also that is begotten of him. ² By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.

¹ And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God, and of the Lamb.

⁶⁰ Many therefore of his disciples, when they had heard it, said, This is an hard saying, who can hear it?

²⁷ They understood not that he said God was his Father.

³⁹ Therefore they could not believe, because Esaias said, ⁴⁰ He hath blinded [them], that they should not see with [their] eyes, nor understand with [their] heart, and be converted, and I should heal them.

⁵¹ Ye stiff necked, and uncircumcised in hearts and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as did also your fathers, so [do] ye.

¹¹ There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.

³⁸ The field is the world: the good seed are the children of the kingdom: but the tares are the children of the wicked one:

⁷⁰ Jesus answered, saying, Have not I chosen you twelve, and one of you is a devil?

³ But Peter said unto Ananias, Why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and for thee to keep back [part] of the price of the land?

¹⁰ And said, O full of all subtilty and all knavery, thou son of the devil, thou enemy of all righteousness, wilt thou not cease to pervert the ways of the Lord which are right?

³ But I fear lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity and purity that is in Christ.

¹³ For such [are] false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. ¹⁴ And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. ¹⁵ [It is] no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

⁹ Whose coming is after the working of Satan, with all power, and signs, and wonders of a lie. ¹⁰ And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness, in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth of Christ, that they might be saved. ¹¹ For this cause God sends them strong delusion, that they shall believe a lie:

¹ From whence [are] wars and whence fightings among you? [are they] not hence, of your lusts, that war in your members? ² Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not. ³ Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts. ⁴ Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world, is the enemy of God. ⁵ Do ye think that the scripture saith in vain, The spirit that dwelleth in us lusteth to envy? ⁶ But he giveth more grace: wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble. ⁷ Submit your selves therefore to God; but resist the devil, and he will flee from you:

⁸ Be sober, be vigilant; Your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about seeking whom he may devour.

⁴ He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, the truth is not in him.

¹² Not as Cain was of that wicked one, and slew his brother: And wherefore slew he him? Because his own Works were evil, and his brothers righteous.

¹⁵ Whosoever hateth his brother, is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.

¹⁰ Fear not those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and may have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.

¹¹ They had a king over them, the angel, the prince of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue [is] Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath [his] name Apollyon: [The Destroyer.]

⁹ And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the devil and Satan, who deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

⁶ And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven. ⁷ And power was given him over every tribe and people, and tongue, and nation. ⁸ And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose name is [not] written in the book of life of the slain Lamb, from the foundation of the world.

¹⁴ And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth, by those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the wild beast, saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the wild beast who had the wound by a sword, and did live.

² And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, who is the devil and Satan, and bound him a thousand years. ³ And cast him into the abyss, and shut [him] up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: after that he must be loosed a little season.

⁷ And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison. ⁸ And shall go out to deceive the nations, which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of them, as the sand of the sea. ⁹ And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city, and fire came down out of heaven, and devoured them. ¹⁰ And the devil that deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where both the wild beast and the false prophet [were,] and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

⁸ But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

¹⁵ Without [are] dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

¹⁹ And this is the judgement, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. ²⁰ For every one that doth evil things hateth the light, lest his deeds should be reproved by the light.

⁷ The world cannot hate you; but me it hateth, because I testifie of it, that the works thereof are evil.

³⁷ Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou therefore a king? Jesus answered, Thou sayst that I am a king. For this was I born, and for this came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth, heareth my voice.

¹⁰ And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness, in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth of Christ, that they might be saved.

³ For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but for their own lusts will they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears. ⁴ And they will turn away [their] ears from the truth, and will be turned unto fables.

²⁵ The baptism of John, whence was it? from heaven, or of men? and they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven; he will say unto us, Why did ye not believe him?

³¹ And they reasoned with themselves, saying, What shall we say? If we shall say, From heaven, he will say to us, Why then did ye not believe him?

⁷ So when they continued asking, he lift up himself and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.

³⁰ Hereafter I will not talk many things to you: for the prince of the world cometh, and hath nothing to find in me.

⁸ And when he is come, he will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgement:

²¹ He hath made him sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

²² Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth:

¹² As many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God; to them that believe on his name: ¹³ They were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, not of the will of man, but of God.

⁴⁵ It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Everyone that heareth, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me. ⁴⁶ Not that any one hath seen the Father, save he who is of God, he hath seen God.

⁶⁵ And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no one can come unto me, except it were given unto him of the Father.

⁴⁵ Because I tell the truth, ye believe me not.

²⁶ But ye believe not; because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you. ²⁷ My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.

⁶ I have manifest thy name unto the men whom thou gavest me out of the world; thine they were, and thou hast given them me; and they have kept thy word. ⁷ Now they have known that all things whatsoever thou hast given me, are from thee. ⁸ For I have given unto them thy words which thou hast given me; and they have received them truly, because I came out from thee; and they have believed that thou didst send me.

¹⁰ In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: Whosoever doeth not righteousness, is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.

¹ Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. ² Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh, is of God. ³ And every spirit that confesseth [it] not, is not of God: and this is that [spirit] of antichrist, whereof you have heard that it should come, and even now already it is in the world. ⁴ Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

¹ Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ, is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat, loveth him also that is begotten of him.

¹¹ Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that doeth good, is of God: He that doeth evil, hath not seen God.

⁵ These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, and said, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into a city of Samaritans enter ye not.

²⁵ It is enough for the disciple that he be as the master, and the servant as his lord: if they shall call the master of the House Beelzebub, how much more them of his household?

²⁴ But when the Pharisees heard [it], they said, This man doth not cast out dæmons but by Beelzebub, the prince of the dæmons.

³¹ Wherefore I say unto you, all sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men; but the blasphemy of the Spirit shall not be forgiven unto men.

⁷ Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesie of you, saying,

⁹ Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou being a Jew, askest drink of me, a woman of Samaria?

¹³ Ye call me Master, and Lord: and ye say well; for I am.

³ For even Christ pleased not himself; but as it is written, The reproaches of them that reproached thee fell on me.

¹⁹ Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the daemons also believe, and tremble.

¹⁵ And Jesus answering, said unto him, Suffer [it] now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him. ¹⁶ And Jesus when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending out of heaven like a dove, and coming upon him. ¹⁷ And lo, a voice from heaven, saying unto him, Thou art my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

⁴ When Jesus heard [that], he said, His sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby.

²⁸ Father, glorifie thy name with the glory which I had with thee before the world was. And a voice came from heaven saying, I have both glorified [it], and will glorifie [it] again.

³² God shalt also glorifie him in himself, and shall straightway glorifie him.

¹³ And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

⁶ Who being in the form of [a] God, did not take upon him to be equal to a God: ⁷ But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: ⁸ And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. ⁹ Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: ¹⁰ That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of [things] in heaven, and on earth, and under the earth; ¹¹ And that every tongue should confess, that Jesus Christ [is] Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

²³ Who when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatned not; but committed [himself] to him that judgeth righteously;

²⁰ For the Father loveth the Son, and sheweth him all things that himself doth: and he sheweth him greater works than these, that ye may marvel. ²¹ For as the Father raiseth up the dead, and quickneth [them]; even so the Son quickneth whom he will. ²² For the Father judgeth no man; but hath given all judgment unto the Son; ²³ That all should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son, neither honoureth he the Father who hath sent him.

⁴¹ I receive not honour from men.

⁴⁵ Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father; there is that accuseth you, Moses, in whom ye have trusted.

¹⁸ He that speaketh of himself, seeketh his own glory: but he that seeketh his glory that sent him, he is true, and unrighteousness is not in him.

⁵⁴ Jesus answered, If I shall honour my self, my honour is nothing: it is my Father that honoureth me, of whom ye say, that his is your God:

⁴⁷ And if any one hear my words, and keep them not, I judge him not: for I came not that I might judge the world, but that I might save the world. ⁴⁸ He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.

²⁶ And it was revealed unto him by the Holy Ghost, that he should not see death before he should see the Lords Christ.

¹⁵ That every one who believeth in him, should not perish, but have eternal life. ¹⁶ For God hath so loved the world, that he hath given his only begotten Son, that every one who believeth on him, should not perish, but have eternal life.

²⁴ Verily verily I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath eternal life, and shall not come into judgement; but is passed from death unto life.

⁵⁰ This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that if a man eat thereof, he shall not die.

⁵⁵ Yet ye have not known him; but I know him: and If I should say, I know him not, I shall be a liar like unto you: but I know him, and observe his saying.

²⁵ Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth on me, though he were dead, yet shall he live; ²⁶ And whosoever liveth, and believeth on me, shall never die. Believest thou this?

²⁰ Remember the words that I said unto you, my servant is not greater than his Lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you: if they have observed my saying, they will observe yours also.

⁵ By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before the translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.

²⁴ They called again him that was blind, a second time, and said unto him, Give God the praise: we know that this man is a sinner.

⁹ But we see Jesus, who was made for a little while lower than the angels, for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.

¹³ These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and embraced [them], and confessed that they were strangers and sojourners and pilgrims on the earth.

⁶ For I say unto you, that here is one greater than the temple.

⁴¹ The men of Nineveh shall rise in judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it, because they repented at the preaching of Jonas, and behold, a greater than Jonas [is] here. ⁴² The queen of the south shall rise up in judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for she came from the uttermost part of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon, and behold, a greater than Solomon [is] here.

¹² Art thou greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his children, and cattle?

¹⁸ The Jews therefore the more sought to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making himself equal to God.

²⁹ My Father who gave [them] me, is greater than all: and none is able to pluck [them] out of my Fathers hand. ³⁰ I and the Father are one.

³³ The Jews answered him, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that being a man thou makest thy self God.

³⁴ The multitude answered him, We have heard out of the law, that Christ abideth for ever: and how sayest thou, that The Son of man must be lift up? Who is therefore this Son of man?

⁷ The Jews answered him, We have a law, and according to law he aught to die, because he hath made himself the Son of God.

⁵ Whose [are] the fathers; and of whom as concerning the flesh is Christ, who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen.

² Who was faithful to him that made him, as also [was] Moses in all his house. ³ For he was counted worthy of more glory than [Moses], inasmuch as he who hath builded the house, hath more honour than the house.

¹ For this Melchisedec was king of Salem, and priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the Kings, and blessed him, and Abraham was blessed by him. ² To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all: first being by interpretation, king of Righteousness, and after that also, king of Salem, which is, king of Peace; ³ Without father, without mother, without genealogy, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God, abideth a priest continually. ⁴ Now consider how great he [was], unto whom even the patriarch Abraham gave the tenth of the spoils. ⁵ And verity they that are of the sons of Levi, who receive the office of the priesthood, have a commandment to take tithes of the people according to the law, that is, of their brethren, though they come out of the loins of Abraham: ⁶ But he whose descent is not counted from them, received tithes of Abraham, and blessed him that had the promises. ⁷ And without all contradiction, the less is blessed of the better.

¹¹ This beginning of signs did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested his glory; and his disciples believed on him.

³¹ If I bear witness of my self, my witness is not true. ³² There is another that beareth witness of me, and ye know that his testimony which he witnesseth of me, is true.

³⁹ But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him, should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet [come] upon them, because that Jesus was not yet glorified.

⁵⁰ But I seek not mine own glory: there is one that seeketh and judgeth.

¹⁴ He will glorifie me, for he shall receive of mine and will shew it unto you. ¹⁵ All things that the Father hath, are mine: therefore said I, that he taketh of mine, and shall tell it unto you.

¹ These words spake Jesus; and lift up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorifie thy Son, that thy Son may glorifie thee.

⁵ And now, O Father, glorifie thou me with thine own self, with the glory which I had from thee before the world was.

¹³ The God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, the God of our fathers hath glorified his Son Jesus Christ, whom ye delivered up to Judgment, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined and willing to let him go.

¹⁷ But if thou art called a Jew, and restest in the law, and makest thy boast of God; ¹⁸ And knowest [his] will, and approvest the things that are more excellent, being instructed out of the law, ¹⁹ And art confident that thou thy self art a guide of the blind, a light of them who are in darkness, ²⁰ An instructor of the foolish, a teacher of babes, who hast the form of knowledge, and of the truth in the law. ²¹ Thou therefore who teachest another, teachest thou not thy self? thou that preachest a man should not steal, dost thou steal? ²² Thou that sayst a man should not commit adultery, dost thou commit adultery? thou that abhorrest idols, dost thou commit sacrilege? ²³ Thou that makest thy boast of the law, through breaking the law dishonourest thou God? ²⁴ For the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles, through you, as it is written. ²⁵ For circumcision verily profiteth, if thou keep the law: but if thou be a breaker of the law, thy circumcision is made uncircumcision. ²⁶ Therefore, if the uncircumcision keep the righteousness of the law, shall not his uncircumcision be counted for circumcision? ²⁷ And shall not uncircumcision which is by nature, if it fulfil the law, judge thee, who by the letter and circumcision dost transgress the law?

¹⁸ For not he that commendeth himself is approved, but whom the Lord commendeth.

²⁰ Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly [places], ²¹ Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age, but also in that which is to come: ²² And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him the head over all things to the church, ²³ Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.

⁴ And no man taketh this honour unto himself, but he that is called of God, as [was] Aaron: ⁵ So also, Christ glorified not himself, to be made an high priest; but he that said unto him, Thou art my Son, to-day have I begotten thee.

¹² Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto you they did minister the things which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you, by the Holy Ghost, sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into.

²¹ Who by him are faithful unto God that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory, that your faith and hope might be in God.

¹⁷ For he received from God the Father, honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory. This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

²⁷ All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no one knoweth the Son but the Father: neither knoweth any one the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal [him].

²² All things are delivered to me of the Father; and, and no one knoweth who the Son is, but the Father; and who the Father is,but the Son, and he to whom the Son will reveal [him.]

⁴⁶ Not that any one hath seen the Father, save he who is of God, he hath seen God.

¹⁹ Therefore said they unto him, Where is thy Father? Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye neither know me, nor my Father: If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also.

²³ For as I passed by, and beheld your devotions, I found an altar with this inscription, TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. What therefore ye ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you.

⁶ For God commanded the light to shine out of darkness, [and] hath shined in our hearts, to illuminate the knowledge of his glory, in the person of Jesus Christ.

²² Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? he is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.

¹⁰ He that believeth on the Son of God, hath the record in himself: he that believeth not the Son hath made himself a liar, because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.

⁹ Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will cause that they shall come, and shall worship before thy feet, and know that I have loved thee.

¹⁷ For verily I say unto you, that many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which ye see, and were not able to see them, and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard [them].

²⁸ Then he took him up in his arms, and blessed God, and said, ²⁹ Lord, now lettest thou thy servant depart in peace, according to thy word. ³⁰ For mine eyes have seen thy salvation:

²⁴ For I say unto you, that many prophets have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen [them];and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard [them] .

⁷ Know ye therefore, that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham. ⁸ And the scripture foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, In thee shall all nations be blessed. ⁹ So then, they who be of faith, are blessed with faithful Abraham.

³⁹ And these all having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise:

¹⁰ Of which salvation the prophets have enquired, and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace unto you: ¹¹ Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings for Christ, and the glory that should follow. ¹² Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto you they did minister the things which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you, by the Holy Ghost, sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into.

¹ IN the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. ² The same was in the beginning with God.

³⁴ Jesus answered them, Verily verily I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin, is a servant,

²⁴ Father, I will that what thou hast given me, they many be with me where I am, that they may behold the glory which thou has given me, for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.

¹⁷ And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.

¹⁰ And, Thou Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands. ¹¹ They shall perish, but thou remainest: and they all shall wax old as doth a garment; ¹² And as a vesture shalt thou change them, and they shall be changed as a garment: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail.

⁸ Jesus Christ, the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever: Amen.

⁸ I am Alpha and Omega, saith the Lord God, who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.

¹¹ Saying, what thou seest, write in a book, and send unto the seven churches, unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamus, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea.

⁸ And unto the angel who is at the church of Smyrna, write, These things saith the first begotten, arid the last, who was dead, and is alive;

²⁹ And rose up, and thrust him out of the city, and led him unto the brow of the hill whereon their city was built, that they might cast him down headlong. ³⁰ But he passing through the midst of them, went away:

³¹ And when they had receiced the bread from him, their eyes were opened, and they knew him, and he vanished out of their sight.

¹³ He that was infirm knew not who it was; for Jesus had conveyed himself away, a multitude being in the place.

⁵ But Moses in the law commanded, to stone such women, But what sayst thou now? ⁶ But Jesus stooped down, and with [his] finger wrote on the ground.

³⁰ I and the Father are one. ³¹ Then the Jews took up stones to stone him. ³² Jesus answered them, Many good works have I shewed you from the Father; for which of those works do ye stone me? ³³ The Jews answered him, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that being a man thou makest thy self God.

³⁹ And they sought to take him: but he escaped out of their hand, ⁴⁰ And went away again beyond the Jordan, into the place where John was at first baptizing, and there he abode;

⁸ His disciples say unto him, Rabbi, the Jews even now sought to stone thee; and goest thou thither again?

⁵⁴ Jesus therefore walked no more openly among the Jews; but went unto the country Samphurein, near to the wilderness, into a city called Ephraim, and there continued with the disciples.

³⁶ While ye have the light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light. These things spake Jesus, and departed, and did hide himself from them.

³¹ Pilate therefore said unto them, Take ye him and judge him according to your law. The Jews therefore said unto him, It is not lawful for us to put any one to death.

⁵⁷ Then they cried out with a loud voice, and stopped their ears, and ran upon him with one accord,

³⁹ And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on his way rejoicing. ⁴⁰ But Philip was found at Azotus: and passing through, he preached in all the cities till he came to Cesarea.
