¹ My little children, I write this to you so that you may not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.

⁴ Be disturbed but do not sin. Commune in your heart on your bed and be silent. Selah

²¹ Nevertheless if you warn the righteous man, that the righteous not sin, and he does not sin, he will surely live, because he took warning; and you have delivered your soul.”

⁹ Rejoice greatly, daughter of Zion. Shout, daughter of Jerusalem. Look, your king comes to you. He is righteous, and having salvation; lowly, and riding on a donkey, even on a colt, the foal of a donkey.

²² All things have been entrusted to Me by My Father. No one knows who the Son is except the Father, and no one knows who the Father is except the Son, and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal Him.”

¹⁴ Afterward Jesus found him in the Temple, and said to him, "See! You are well again. Give up sin, or something worse may happen to you."

¹⁹ Jesus said to them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of himself, but only what he sees the Father doing; for whatever he does, the Son also does. ²⁰ The Father loves the Son and shows Him all He does. And to your amazement, He will show Him even greater works than these. ²¹ For just as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, even so the Son gives life to those whom he will. ²² For the Father judges no one, but has given all judgment to the Son, ²³ that all may honor the Son just as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent him. ²⁴ Truly, truly, I tell you, whoever hears My word and believes Him who sent Me has eternal life and will not come under judgment. Indeed, he has crossed over from death to life. ²⁵ Truly, truly, I tell you, the hour is coming and has now come when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those who hear will live. ²⁶ For as the Father has life in himself; so he has granted to the Son to have life in himself;

³⁶ But I have testimony more substantial than that of John. For the works that the Father has given Me to accomplish—the very works I am doing—testify about Me that the Father has sent Me.

²⁷ Do not work for food that perishes, but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. For on Him God the Father has placed His seal of approval.”

¹¹ “No one, Lord,” she answered. “Then neither do I condemn you,” Jesus declared. “Now go and sin no more.”

¹⁵ (just as the Father knows me and I know the Father,) and I lay down my life for the sheep.

³³ Little children, I am with you only a little longer. You will look for me, but what I told the Jews I now tell you, 'Where I am going, you cannot come.'

⁶ Jesus answered, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

⁵ So He called out to them, “Children, do you have any fish?” “No,” they answered.

¹ What should we say, then? Should we go on sinning so that grace may increase? ² Certainly not! When we have died to sin, how can we live in it any longer?

¹⁵ What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law, but under grace? By no means!

³⁴ Who is there to condemn us? For Christ Jesus, who died, and more than that was raised to life, is at the right hand of God—and He is interceding for us.

¹⁴ I am not writing this to shame you, but to warn you as my beloved children. ¹⁵ Even if you have ten thousand guardians in Christ, you do not have many fathers; for in Christ Jesus I became your father through the gospel.

³⁴ Come back to your senses as you ought, and stop sinning; for some have no knowledge of God. I say this to your shame.

²¹ God made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God.

¹⁹ My children, for whom I am again in the pains of childbirth until Christ is formed in you,

¹⁸ For through Him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit.

²⁶ In your anger, do not sin! Do not let the sun set while you remain angry.

⁵ For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,

¹⁴ Although I hope to come to you soon, I am writing you these instructions so that,

¹¹ For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, ¹² It trains us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and Godly lives in this present age, ¹³ Looking for the blessed hope, the glorious appearing of our great God and Saviour Jesus Christ;

²⁴ But because Jesus lives forever, he has a permanent priesthood. ²⁵ Therefore He is able to save completely those who draw near to God through Him, since He always lives to intercede for them. ²⁶ We need such a high priest {— } one who is holy, innocent, pure, set apart from sinners, exalted above the heavens.

²⁴ For Christ did not enter a holy place made with hands, a copy of the true one, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us.

²⁷ Pure and undefiled religion before our God and Father is this: to care for orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.

⁹ With the tongue we bless our Lord and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in God’s likeness.

¹⁵ But just as He who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do, ¹⁶ for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.” ¹⁷ Since you call on a Father who judges each man’s work impartially, live your lives in reverent fear during your temporary stay on earth. ¹⁸ For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life you inherited from your forefathers, ¹⁹ but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or spot.

²² "He committed no sin, and no deceit was found in his mouth;"

¹⁸ For Christ also suffered for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body, but made alive in the spirit,

¹ Therefore, since Christ suffered in His body, arm yourselves with the same resolve, because anyone who has suffered in his body is done with sin. ² so that he can live the rest of his mortal life guided, not by human desires, but by the will of God. ³ For you have spent enough time in the past doing what the Gentiles like to do, living in debauchery, lust, drunkenness, orgies, carousing, and lawless idolatry.

³ We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard, so that you also may have fellowship with us. And this fellowship of ours is with the Father and with His Son, Jesus Christ. ⁴ And we write this that our joy may be complete.

⁸ If we say we have not sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. ⁹ If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just, and will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. ¹⁰ If we say we have not sinned, we make Him out to be a liar, and His word is not in us.

¹² I am writing to you, little children, because your sins have been forgiven on account of his name. ¹³ I write to you, fathers, because you have known him, who is from the beginning. I write to you, young men, because you have overcome the evil one. I write to you, children, because you have known the Father.

²⁸ And now, little children, remain in Him, so that when He appears, we may be confident and unashamed before Him at His coming. ²⁹ If you know that he is righteous, you know that every one who does right has been born of him.

⁵ And you know that He appeared that He might take away our sins, and in Him there is no sin.

⁷ Dear children, let no one lead you astray. The man who acts righteously is righteous, just as He is righteous.

¹⁸ Little children, let us not love in word or tongue but in deed and in truth.

⁴ You, children, are of God, and have overcome them, because he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.

²¹ My children, keep yourselves from idols.
