Luke 19 Cross References - TKJU

1 Then Jesus entered and passed through Jericho. 2 And behold, there was a man named Zacchaeus, who was the chief among the publicans, and he was rich. 3 And he sought to see Jesus, who He was, but could not because of the pressing multitude, for he was little in stature. 4 Therefore he ran ahead, and climbed up into a sycamore tree to see Him: For He was to pass that way. 5 And when Jesus came to the place, He looked up and saw him, and said to him, "Zacchaeus, make haste, and come down; for today I must abide at your house." 6 Then he made haste, and came down, and received Him joyfully. 7 Yet when they saw it, they all murmured, saying, "He has gone to be a guest with a man who is a sinner." 8 Now Zacchaeus stood, and said to the Lord; "Behold, Lord, I give half of my goods to the poor; and if I have taken anything from anyone by false accusation, I restore him fourfold." 9 And Jesus said to him, "This day salvation has come to this house, because he also is a son of Abraham. 10 For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost." 11 Now as they heard these things, He added and spoke another parable, because He was near Jerusalem, and because they thought that the kingdom of God should immediately appear. 12 Therefore He said, "A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return. 13 Also he called his ten servants, delivered to them ten pounds of silver, and said to them, 'Occupy until I come.'pounds: Greek or Attic mina, here translated as pound, is estimated at ~15.2 oz or ~431 grams per Encyclopedia Britannica 14 But his citizens hated him, and sent a message after him, saying, 'We will not have this man to reign over us.' 15 And it came to pass, that when he returned, having received the kingdom, he then commanded these servants to be called to him, to whom he had given the money, that he might know how much every man had gained by trading. 16 Then came the first, saying, 'Lord, your pound has gained ten pounds.' 17 And he said to him, 'Well done, good servant: Because you have been faithful in a very little, you have authority over ten cities.' 18 And the second came, saying, 'Lord, your pound has gained five pounds.' 19 And He said likewise to him, 'You also be over five cities.' 20 Then another came, saying, 'Lord, behold, here is your pound of silver, which I have kept laid up in a napkin: 21 For I feared you, because you are an austere man: You take up that which you did not lay down, and reap what you did not sow.' 22 And he said to him, 'Out of your own mouth I will judge you, you wicked servant. You knew that I was an austere man, taking up that which I did not lay down, and reaping what I did not sow: 23 Why then did you not give my money into the bank, that at my coming I might have claimed my own with interest?' 24 And he said to those that stood by, 'Take the pound of silver from him, and give it to him that has ten pounds.' 25 (Then they said to him, 'Lord, he has ten pounds of silver.') 26 For I say to you, That to everyone who has, more shall be given; and from him that does not have, even what he has shall be taken away from him. 27 But bring here those enemies of mine, who were not willing that I reign over them, and slay them before me.' " 28 Then after He had spoken this, He went in front, ascending up to Jerusalem. 29 And it came to pass, when He drew near to Bethphage and Bethany, at the mountain called The Mount of Olives, that He sent two of His disciples, 30 saying, "Go into the village before you; in which you shall find a colt tied upon your entering, on which no one has ever sat: Loose him, and bring him here. 31 And if anyone asks you, 'Why are you loosing him?'; this is what you shall say to him, 'Because the Lord has need of him.' " 32 And those that were sent went their way, and found it exactly as He had said to them. 33 Moreover, as they were loosing the colt, the owners of him said to them, "Why are you loosing the colt?" 34 And they said, "The Lord has need of him." 35 And they brought him to Jesus: And they cast their clothes upon the colt, and they set Jesus on him. 36 And as He went, they spread their clothes on the road. 37 And when He was drawing near, even now at the descent of the Mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen; 38 saying, " 'Blessed be the King that comes in the name of the LORD': Peace in heaven, and glory in the highest." 39 And some of the Pharisees from among the multitude said to Him, "Master, rebuke Your disciples." 40 And He answered and said to them, "I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out." 41 And when He drew near, He beheld the city, and wept over it, 42 saying, "If you had known, even you, at least in this day, the things which relate to your peace! But now they are hid from your eyes. 43 For the days shall come upon you, that your enemies shall cast a trench around you, surround you, and keep you in on every side, 44 and shall level you even with the ground, and your children within you; and they shall not leave one stone upon another in you; because you did not know the time of your visitation." 45 Then He went into the temple, and began to drive out those who sold in it, and those who bought; 46 saying to them, "It is written, 'My house is the house of prayer': But you have made it a 'den of thieves.' " 47 And He taught daily in the temple. But the chief priests, the scribes, and the chief of the people sought to destroy Him, 48 and could not find what they might do: For all the people were very attentive to hear Him.

Thus you shall do six days. 4 And seven priests shall carry before the ark seven trumpets of rams' horns: And the seventh day you all shall compass the city seven times, and the priests shall blow with the trumpets. 5 And it shall come to pass, that when they make a long blast with the ram's horn, and when you all hear the sound of the trumpet, all the people shall shout with a great shout; and the wall of the city shall fall down flat, and the people shall ascend up, every man, straight before him." 6 And Joshua the son of Nun called the priests, and said to them, "Take up the ark of the covenant, and let seven priests carry seven trumpets of rams' horns before the ark of the LORD." 7 And he said to the people, "Pass on, and compass the city, and let him that is armed pass on before the ark of the LORD." 8 And it came to pass, when Joshua had spoken to the people, that the seven priests carrying the seven trumpets of rams' horns passed on before the LORD, and blew with the trumpets: And the ark of the covenant of the LORD followed them. 9 And the armed men went before the priests that blew with the trumpets, and the rear-guard came after the ark, the priests going onward, and blowing with the trumpets. 10 And Joshua had commanded the people, saying, "You all shall not shout, nor make any noise with your voice, neither shall any word proceed out of your mouth, until the day I bid you to shout; then you all shall shout." 11 So the ark of the LORD compassed the city, going about it once: And they came into the camp, and lodged in the camp. 12 And Joshua rose early in the morning, and the priests took up the ark of the LORD. 13 And seven priests carrying seven trumpets of rams' horns before the ark of the LORD went on continually, and blew with the trumpets: And the armed men went before them; but the rear-guard came after the ark of the LORD, the priests going onward, and blowing with the trumpets. 14 And the second day they compassed the city once, and returned into the camp: So they did six days. 15 And it came to pass on the seventh day, that they rose early about the dawning of the day, and compassed the city in the same manner for the seventh time that week: Only on that day they proceeded to compass the city seven times in a row. 16 And it came to pass on the seventh time around for the day, when the priests blew with the trumpets, Joshua said to the people, "Shout; for the LORD has given you the city. 17 And the city shall be accursed, even it and all that are in it, to the LORD: Only Rahab the harlot shall live, she and all that are with her in the house, because she hid the messengers that we sent. 18 As for all of you, at the very least keep yourselves from the accursed thing, lest you all make yourselves accursed, when you all take of the accursed thing, and make the camp of Israel a curse, and trouble it. 19 But all the silver, and gold, and vessels of brass and iron, are consecrated to the LORD: They shall come into the treasury of the LORD." 20 So the people shouted when the priests blew with the trumpets: And it came to pass, when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, and the people shouted with a great shout, that the wall fell down flat, so that the people went up into the city, every man straight before him, and they took the city. 21 And they utterly destroyed all that was in the city, both man and woman, young and old, and ox, and sheep, and donkey, with the edge of the sword. 22 But Joshua had said to the two men that had spied out the country, "Go into the harlot's house, and bring the woman out from there, and all that she has, as you both swore to her." 23 And the young men that were spies went in, and brought out Rahab, and her father, and her mother, and her brothers, and all that she had; and they brought out all her kindred, and left them outside the camp of Israel. 24 And they burned the city with fire, and all that was in it: Only the silver, and the gold, and the vessels of brass and of iron, they put into the treasury of the house of the LORD. 25 And Joshua saved Rahab the harlot alive, and her father's household, and all that she had; and she dwells in Israel even to this day; because she hid the messengers, which Joshua sent to spy out Jericho. 26 And Joshua adjured them at that time, saying, "Cursed be the man before the LORD, that rises up and builds this city Jericho: He shall lay its foundation in his firstborn, and in his youngest son he shall set up the gates of it." 27 So the LORD was with Joshua; and his fame was noised throughout all the country.

13 who was formerly a blasphemer, a persecutor, and an injurious man: But I obtained mercy, because I did those things ignorantly in unbelief. 14 And the grace of our Lord was exceedingly abundant with faith and love which are in Christ Jesus. 15 This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief. 16 Nevertheless, for this reason I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might show forth all longsuffering, as a pattern to those who should hereafter believe upon Him to life everlasting.

Hebrews 7:25

25 Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those that come to God by Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.

1 John 4:9-14

9 In this the love of God was manifested toward us, in how God sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. 10 In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us, and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought to also love one another. 12 No man has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwells in us, and His love is perfected in us. 13 By this we know that we dwell in Him, and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit. 14 And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Savior of the world.

27 But bring here those enemies of mine, who were not willing that I reign over them, and slay them before me.' Philippians 2:9-11

6 Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith; 7 or ministry, let us attend to our ministering: Or he that teaches, in teaching; 8 or he that exhorts, in exhortation; he that gives, let him do it with simplicity; he that rules, with diligence; he that shows mercy, with cheerfulness.

1 Corinthians 12:7-11

7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit with altogether. 8 For to one is given the word of wisdom by the Spirit; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; 9 to another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; 10 to another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another diverse kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: 11 But all these work effectually by that one and the exact same Spirit, dividing to every man distinctly as He wills.

1 Corinthians 12:28-29

28 And God has set some in the church, first apostles, secondly prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues. 29 Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Are all workers of miracles?

9 Use hospitality one to another without grudging. 10 As every man has received the gift, even so minister the same to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. 11 If any man speaks, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man ministers, let him do it as with the ability which God gives: That in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be the praise and dominion forever and ever. Amen.

Isaiah 49:7

7 Thus says the LORD, the Redeemer of Israel, and His Holy One, to Him whom man despises, to Him whom the nation abhors, to a Servant of rulers, "Kings shall see and arise, princes also shall worship, because of the LORD who is faithful, and the Holy One of Israel, and He shall choose You."

Psalms 2:4-6

Matthew 18:23-35

23 Therefore the kingdom of heaven is likened to a certain king, who would take account of his servants. 24 And when he had begun to settle accounts, one was brought to him, who owed him ten thousand talents.1 talent is 750 ounces of silver; hence 10,000 talents is ~212.6 metric tons of silver. 25 But since he did not have it to pay, his lord commanded him to be sold, and his wife, and children, and all that he had, and payment to be made. 26 Therefore the servant fell down, and worshiped him, saying, 'Lord, have patience with me, and I will pay you all of it.' 27 Then the lord of that servant was moved with compassion, and loosed him, and forgave him the debt. 28 But the same servant went out, and found one of his fellow-servants, who owed him a hundred silver coins: And he laid hands on him, and took him by the throat, saying, 'Pay me what you owe!' 29 Then his fellow-servant fell down at his feet, and implored him, saying, 'Have patience with me, and I will pay you all of it.' 30 And he would not: But went and cast him into prison, until he should pay the debt. 31 So when his fellow-servants saw what was done, they were very sorry, and came and told all that was done to their lord. 32 Then his lord, after he had called him, said to him, 'O you wicked servant; I forgave you all that debt because you desired me to: 33 Should you not have also had compassion on your fellow-servant, even as I had pity on you?' 34 And his lord was wroth, and delivered him to the tormentors until he should pay all that was due to him. 35 So likewise my heavenly Father shall also do to you, if each one of you do not forgive from your hearts his brother their trespasses."

2 Therefore he called him, and said to him, 'What is this that I hear about you? Give an account of your stewardship; for you may no longer be steward.' 3 Then the steward said within himself, 'What shall I do? For my lord is taking away from me the stewardship: I cannot dig; I am ashamed to beg. 4 I have resolved what to do, that when I am put out of the stewardship, they may receive me into their houses.' 5 Then he called every one of his lord's debtors to himself, and said to the first, 'How much do you owe to my lord?' 6 And he said, 'A hundred measures of oil.' And he said to him, 'Take your bill, and sit down quickly, and write fifty.'measures: The word Batus in the original Greek, contains 9 gallons, 3 quarts 7 Then he said to another, 'And how much do you owe?' So he said, 'A hundred measures of wheat.' And he said to him, 'Take your bill, and write eighty.' 8 Yet the lord commended the unjust steward, because he had done wisely: For the children of this world in their generation are wiser than the children of light. 9 And I say to you, Make for yourselves friends of the mammon of unrighteousness; that when you fail, they may receive you into everlasting habitations. 10 He who is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: And he who is unjust in the least is also unjust in much. 11 Therefore, if you have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches? 12 And if you have not been faithful in what is another man's, who shall give you that which is your own? 13 No servant can serve two masters: For either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon."

Romans 14:10-12

10 But why do you judge your brother? Or why do you disregard your brother as nothing? For we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ. 11 For it is written, "As I live, says the LORD, every knee shall bow to Me, and every tongue shall confess to God." 12 So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.

1 Corinthians 4:1-5

1 Let a man so account for us, as ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God. 2 Moreover, it is required in stewards that a man be found faithful. 3 But with me it is a very small thing that I should be judged by you, or by a man's judgment: Nevertheless I do not judge my own self. 4 For I know nothing by myself; yet I am not justified by this: But He that judges me is the Lord. 5 Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord comes, who will both bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: And then every man shall have praise from God.

1 Chronicles 29:14-16

14 But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able to offer so willingly after this sort? For all things come of you, and of your own have we given you. 15 For we are strangers before you, and sojourners, as were all our fathers: Our days on the earth are as a shadow, and there is none abiding. 16 O LORD our God, all this store that we have prepared to build you a house for your holy name comes of your hand, and is all your own.

James 2:18-26

18 Yes, a man may say, "You have faith, and I have works": Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works. 19 You believe that there is one God; you do well: The devils also believe, and tremble. 20 But are you willing to know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? 21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he offered Isaac his son upon the altar? 22 Do you see how faith was working together with his works, and by works faith was made perfect? 23 And the scripture was fulfilled which says, "Abraham believed God, and it was imputed to him as righteousness": And he was called the Friend of God. 24 You see then how a man is justified by works, and not by faith only. 25 Likewise, was not Rahab the harlot also justified by works when she received the messengers, and sent them out another way? 26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

1 Then sang Deborah and Barak the son of Abinoam on that day, saying, 2 praise you the LORD for the avenging of Israel, when the people willingly offered themselves. 3 Hear, O you kings; give ear, O you princes; I, even I, will sing to the LORD; I will sing praise to the LORD God of Israel. 4 LORD, when you went out of Seir, when you marched out of the field of Edom, the earth trembled, and heaven dropped, the clouds also dropped water. 5 The mountains melted from before the LORD, even that Sinai from before the LORD God of Israel. 6 In the days of Shamgar the son of Anath, in the days of Jael, the highways were unoccupied, and the travelers walked through byways. 7 The inhabitants of the villages ceased, they ceased in Israel, until that I Deborah arose, that I arose a mother in Israel. 8 They chose new gods; then was war in the gates: Was there a shield or spear seen among forty thousand in Israel? 9 My heart is toward the governors of Israel, that offered themselves willingly among the people. Bless you the LORD. 10 Speak, you that ride on white donkeys, you that sit in judgment, and walk by the highway. 11 Those that are delivered from the noise of archers in the places of drawing water, there shall they rehearse the righteous acts of the LORD, even the righteous acts toward the inhabitants of his villages in Israel: Then shall the people of the LORD go down to the gates. 12 Awake, awake, Deborah: Awake, awake, utter a song: Arise, Barak, and lead your captivity captive, you son of Abinoam. 13 Then he made him that remains have dominion over the nobles among the people: The LORD made me have dominion over the mighty. 14 Out of Ephraim was there a root of them against Amalek; after you, Benjamin, among your people; out of Machir came down governors, and out of Zebulun those that handle the pen of the writer. 15 And the princes of Issachar were with Deborah; even Issachar, and also Barak: He was sent on foot into the valley. For the divisions of Reuben there were great thoughts of heart. 16 Why stayed you among the sheepfolds, to hear the bleatings of the flocks? For the divisions of Reuben there were great searchings of heart. 17 Gilead stayed beyond the Jordan: And why did Dan remain in ships? Asher continued upon the seashore, and stayed in his breaches. 18 Zebulun and Naphtali were a people that risked their lives to the death in the high places of the field. 19 The kings came and fought, then fought the kings of Canaan in Taanach by the waters of Megiddo; they took no gain of money. 20 They fought from heaven; the stars in their courses fought against Sisera. 21 The river of Kishon swept them away, that ancient river, the river Kishon. O my soul, you have trodden down strength. 22 Then were the horse hoofs broken by the means of the prancings, the prancings of their mighty ones. 23 Curse you Meroz, said the angel of the LORD, curse you bitterly its inhabitants; because they came not to the help of the LORD, to the help of the LORD against the mighty. 24 Blessed above women shall Jael the wife of Heber the Kenite be, blessed shall she be above women in the tent. 25 He asked water, and she gave him milk; she brought forth butter in a lordly dish. 26 She put her hand to the nail, and her right hand to the workmen's hammer; and with the hammer she smote Sisera, she smote off his head, when she had pierced and stricken through his temples. 27 At her feet he bowed, he fell, he lay down: At her feet he bowed, he fell: Where he bowed, there he fell down dead. 28 The mother of Sisera looked out at a window, and cried through the lattice, Why is his chariot so long in coming? Why tarry the wheels of his chariots? 29 Her wise ladies answered her, yes, she returned answer to herself, 30 have they not sped? Have they not divided the prey; to every man a damsel or two; to Sisera a prey of diverse colors, a prey of diverse colors of needlework, of diverse colors of needlework on both sides, meet for the necks of those that take the spoil? 31 So let all your enemies perish, O LORD: But let those that love him be as the sun when he goes forth in his might. And the land had rest forty years.

2 Samuel 6:2-6

2 And David arose, and went with all the people that were with him from Baale of Judah, to bring up from there the ark of God, whose name is called by the name of the LORD of hosts that dwells between the cherubims. 3 And they set the ark of God on a new cart, and brought it out of the house of Abinadab that was in Gibeah: And Uzzah and Ahio, the sons of Abinadab, drove the new cart. 4 And they brought it out of the house of Abinadab which was at Gibeah, accompanying the ark of God: And Ahio went before the ark. 5 And David and all the house of Israel played before the LORD on all manner of instruments made of fir wood, even on harps, and on psalteries, and on tambourines, and on cornets, and on cymbals. 6 And when they came to Nachon's threshing floor, Uzzah put forth his hand to the ark of God, and took hold of it; for the oxen shook it.

1 Kings 8:55-56

55 And he stood, and blessed all the congregation of Israel with a loud voice, saying, 56 blessed be the LORD, that has given rest to his people Israel, according to all that he promised: There has not failed one word of all his good promise, which he promised by the hand of Moses his servant.

28 Thus all Israel brought up the ark of the covenant of the LORD with shouting, and with sound of the cornet, and with trumpets, and with cymbals, making a noise with psalteries and harps.

4 And he appointed certain of the Levites to minister before the ark of the LORD, and to record, and to thank and praise the LORD God of Israel: 5 Asaph the chief, and next to him Zechariah, Jeiel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Mattithiah, and Eliab, and Benaiah, and Obededom: And Jeiel with psalteries and with harps; but Asaph made a sound with cymbals; 6 benaiah also and Jahaziel the priests with trumpets continually before the ark of the covenant of God. 7 Then on that day David delivered first this psalm to thank the LORD into the hand of Asaph and his brothers.

2 Chronicles 29:28-30

28 And all the congregation worshiped, and the singers sang, and the trumpeters sounded: And all this continued until the burnt offering was finished. 29 And when they had made an end of offering, the king and all that were present with him bowed themselves, and worshiped. 30 Moreover Hezekiah the king and the princes commanded the Levites to sing praise to the LORD with the words of David, and of Asaph the seer. And they sang praises with gladness, and they bowed their heads and worshiped.

2 Chronicles 29:36

36 And Hezekiah rejoiced, and all the people, that God had prepared the people: For the thing was done suddenly.

Ezra 3:10-13

10 And when the builders laid the foundation of the temple of the LORD, they set the priests in their apparel with trumpets, and the Levites the sons of Asaph with cymbals, to praise the LORD, after the ordinance of David king of Israel. 11 And they sang together by course in praising and giving thanks to the LORD; because he is good, for his mercy endures forever toward Israel. And all the people shouted with a great shout, when they praised the LORD, because the foundation of the house of the LORD was laid. 12 But many of the priests and Levites and chief of the fathers, who were ancient men, that had seen the first house, when the foundation of this house was laid before their eyes, wept with a loud voice; and many shouted aloud for joy: 13 So that the people could not discern the noise of the shout of joy from the noise of the weeping of the people: For the people shouted with a loud shout, and the noise was heard afar off.

Psalms 106:12-13

12 Then they believed His words; they sang His praise. 13 They soon forgot His works; they did not wait for His counsel:

Psalms 118:22-26

22 The Stone which the builders refused has become the Head Stone of the corner. 23 This is the LORD'S doing; it is marvelous in our eyes. 24 This is the day which the LORD has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it. 25 Save now, I beseech You, O LORD: O LORD, I beseech You, send now prosperity. 26 Blessed is he that comes in the name of the LORD; We have blessed You out of the house of the LORD.

And the twenty-four elders fell down and worshiped Him that lives forever and ever.

Revelation 19:1-6

1 And after these things I heard a great voice of many people in heaven, saying, "Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honor, and power, to the Lord our God: 2 For His judgments are true and righteous: For He has judged the great whore, which corrupted the earth with her fornication, and has avenged the blood of His servants at her hand." 3 And again they said, "Alleluia. And her smoke rose up forever and ever." 4 And the twenty-four elders and the four beasts fell down and worshiped God that sat on the throne, saying, "Amen; Alleluia." 5 Then a voice came out of the throne, saying, "Praise our God, all you His servants, and you that fear Him, both small and great." 6 And I heard as it were the voice of a large multitude, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, "Alleluia: For the Lord God Omnipotent reigns.

16 saying, "What shall we do to these men? For indeed it is apparent to all those who dwell in Jerusalem that a notable miracle has been done by them; and we cannot deny it. 17 But so that it spreads no further among the people, let us strictly threaten them, that from this time forward they do not speak to any man in this name." 18 Therefore they called them, and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus.

1 When Israel went out of Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people of strange language; 2 judah was His sanctuary, and Israel His dominion. 3 The sea saw it, and fled: Jordan was driven back. 4 The mountains skipped like rams, and the little hills like lambs. 5 What ailed you, O sea, that you fled? O Jordan, that you were driven back? 6 You mountains, that you skipped like rams; and you little hills, like lambs? 7 Tremble, you earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob; 8 which turned the rock into a standing pool of water, the flint into a fountain of waters.

7 For He is our God; and we are the people of His pasture, and the sheep of His hand. Today if you will hear His voice, 8 "Do not harden your heart, as in the provocation, and as in the day of temptation in the wilderness:

Isaiah 6:9-10

9 And He said, "Go, and tell this people, 'You indeed hear, but do not understand; and you see indeed, but do not perceive.' 10 Make the heart of this people dull, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and convert, and be healed."

Isaiah 29:10-14

10 For the LORD has poured out on you the spirit of deep sleep, and has closed your eyes: He has covered the prophets, your rulers, and the seers. 11 And all the vision has become to you like the words of a book that is sealed, which men deliver to one who is learned, saying, "Read this, I pray": And he said, "I cannot; for it is sealed." 12 And the book is delivered to him who is not learned, saying, "Read this, I pray": And he said, "I am not learned." 13 Therefore the Lord said, "For as much as these people draw near Me with their mouths, and honor Me with their lips, but have removed their hearts far from Me, and their fear toward Me is taught by the precept of men: 14 Therefore, behold, I will proceed to do a marvelous work among this people, even a marvelous work and a wonder: For the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, and the understanding of their prudent men shall be hid."

Ezekiel 33:11

11 Say to them, 'As I live', said the Lord GOD, 'I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: Turn yourself, turn from your evil ways; for why will you die, O house of Israel?'

Matthew 13:14-15

14 And in them the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled, which says, 'By hearing you shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing you shall see, and shall not perceive: 15 For this people's heart is waxed over, and their ears are dull of hearing, and they have closed their eyes; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.'

Luke 1:77-79

77 to give knowledge of salvation to His people by the remission of their sins, 78 through the tender mercy of our God; by which the Dayspring from on high has visited us, 79 to give light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace."

35 Then Jesus said to them, "A little while longer the light is with you. Walk while you have the light, lest darkness come upon you: For he who walks in darkness does not know where he goes. 36 While you have light, believe in the light, that you may be the children of light." These things Jesus spoke, and departed, and hid Himself from them.

John 12:38-41

38 That the saying of Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spoke, "Lord, who has believed our report? And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?" 39 Therefore they could not believe, because that Isaiah said again, 40 "He has blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them." 41 These things Isaiah said when he saw His glory, and spoke of Him.

Acts 13:46

46 Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, "It was necessary that the Word of God should first have been spoken to you: But seeing you put it away from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, behold, we turn to the Gentiles.

Acts 28:25-27

25 Now when they did not agree among themselves, they departed, after that Paul spoke one word, "The Holy Spirit spoke rightly through Isaiah the prophet to our fathers, 26 saying, 'Go to this people, and say, "Hearing you shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing you shall see, and not perceive: 27 For the heart of this people is waxed over, and their ears are dull of hearing, and they have closed their eyes; lest they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them." '

Romans 11:7-10

7 What then? Israel has not obtained that which he seeks after; but the chosen have obtained it, and the rest were blinded. 8 (Even as it is written, "God has given them the spirit of slumber, eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not hear); to this day." 9 And David says, "Let their table be made a snare, and a trap, and a stumbling-block, and a recompense to them: 10 Let their eyes be darkened, that they may not see, and bow down their back always."

2 Corinthians 3:14-16

14 But their minds were blinded: For till this day remains the same veil not taken away in the reading of the Old Testament; which veil is done away in Christ. 15 But even to this day, when Moses is read, the veil is upon their heart. 16 Nevertheless, when their heart shall turn to the Lord, the veil shall be taken away.

2 Corinthians 4:3-4

3 But if our gospel is hid, it is hid to those that are lost: 4 In whom the god of this world has blinded the minds of those who do not believe, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.

2 Corinthians 6:1-2

1 We then, as workers together with Him, beseech you also that you do not receive the grace of God in vain. 2 (For He said, "I have heard you in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation I have helped you": Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)

9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, 10 and with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in those that perish; because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11 And for this reason God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: 12 That they all might be damned who did not believe the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

13 But exhort one another daily, while it is called "Today"; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.

Hebrews 3:15

15 while it is said, "Today, if you will hear His voice, do not harden your hearts, as in the provocation."

Hebrews 10:26-29

26 For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remains no more sacrifice for sins, 27 but a certain fearful expectation of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. 28 He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: 29 Of how much worse punishment, do you suppose, shall he be thought worthy, who has tread underfoot the Son of God, and has counted the blood of the covenant, with which he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and has extreme malice toward the Spirit of grace?
