¹⁷ Even if I am poured out as a drink offering upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I am glad, and rejoice with you all.

²⁴ But I do not count my life as precious to myself, so that I might finish my course, and the ministry, which I have received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.

¹³ Then Paul answered, What do you mean by weeping and breaking my heart? for I am ready not only to be bound, but also to die in Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.

¹ Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service of worship.

¹⁶ That I should be a minister of Christ Jesus to the Gentiles, in the priestly service of the gospel of God, that the offering of the Gentiles might be acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Spirit.

⁴ Great is my confidence in you, great is my pride in you: I am filled with comfort, I am exceedingly joyful in all our tribulation.

¹⁵ And I will very gladly spend and be spent for your souls. If I love you more abundantly, am I to be loved the less?

²⁰ According to my earnest expectation and hope, that in nothing shall I be ashamed, but that with all boldness, now as always, Christ shall be exalted in my body, whether by life, or by death.

³⁰ Because for the work of Christ he was near to death, not regarding his life, to complete the service you could not give.

¹⁸ But I have received all, and abound: I am full, having received from Epaphroditus the things which were sent from you, a fragrant offering, a sacrifice acceptable and well-pleasing to God.

²⁴ Now I rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up in my flesh that which is lacking in the afflictions of Christ for his body's sake, which is the church:

⁸ So having a yearning affection for you, we were willing to impart to you, not only the gospel of God, but also our own selves, because you had become very dear to us.

⁷ Therefore, brethren, in the midst of our affliction and distress, we were comforted about you because of your faith: ⁸ For now we live, if you stand fast in the Lord. ⁹ For what thanks can we render to God for you, for all the joy which we have before our God because of you;

⁶ For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure is at hand.

¹⁵ Therefore, through him let us continually offer a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that confess his name. ¹⁶ Do not forget to do good and to share: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.

⁵ You also, as living stones, are being built up into a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

¹⁶ By this we know love, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.
