¹ Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints who are at Ephesus, the faithful in Christ Jesus: ² Grace to you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ. ³ Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with all spiritual blessings in the heavenly places: ⁴ Just as he has chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him. In love ⁵ He predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ, according to his good pleasure and will, ⁶ To the praise of his glorious grace, which he freely bestowed upon us in the beloved. ⁷ In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace; ⁸ Which he has lavished upon us in all wisdom and prudence; ⁹ Having made known to us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he set forth in him: ¹⁰ That in the fulness of time he might gather all things together under Christ, both things which are in heaven, and things which are on earth. It is the working of his mighty power, ²⁰ Which he exerted in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, ²¹ Far above all rule, and authority, and power, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come. ²² And he has put all things under his feet, and has appointed him to be the head over all things for the church, ²³ Which is his body, the fulness of him who fills all things everywhere.

²⁷ For I have not hesitated to declare to you all the counsel of God. ²⁸ Take heed for yourselves, and for all the flock, over which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God, which he has purchased with his own blood.

³² And now, brethren, I commit you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified.

⁸ Why should it be thought incredible to any of you, that God should raise the dead?

¹⁸ To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and an inheritance along with those who are sanctified by faith in me.

¹⁶ For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

²⁸ And as they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do those things which are not proper.

⁴ Or do you despise the riches of his kindness and forbearance and patience; not knowing that the kindness of God leads you to repentance?

⁶ Thus David speaks of the blessedness of the man to whom God credits righteousness apart from works: ⁷ Blessed are those whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered. ⁸ Blessed is the man whose sin the Lord will not count against him. ⁹ Is this blessedness upon the circumcised only, or upon the uncircumcised as well? for we say that faith was credited to Abraham as righteousness.

¹¹ And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness which he had by faith while uncircumcised: that he might be the father of all those who believe without being circumcised; that righteousness might be credited to them as well:

⁴ And perseverance, character; and character, hope: ⁵ And hope does not disappoint; because the love of God has been poured into our hearts by the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.

⁴ And the twenty-four elders and the four living creatures fell down and worshipped God who sits on the throne, saying, Amen; Alleluia. ⁵ And a voice came from the throne, saying, Praise our God, all you his servants, you who fear him, both small and great. ⁶ And I heard, as it were, the voice of a great multitude, like the sound of many waters, like the sound of mighty peals of thunder, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord our God omnipotent reigns.

¹² His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written upon him, that no man knew, but he himself. ¹³ And he was clothed with a robe dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.

¹⁰ And the devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and sulphur, where the beast and the false prophet were, and they shall be tormented day and night forever and ever. ¹¹ And I saw a great white throne, and him who sat upon it, from whose face earth and heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. ¹² And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged by those things which were written in the books, according to their deeds. ¹³ And the sea gave up the dead who were in it; and death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them: and they were judged, every man according to his deeds. ¹⁴ And death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. ¹⁵ And whoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

⁷ He who overcomes shall inherit all these things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
