1 Paul and Timothy, servants of Jesus Christ, to all the saints in Christ Jesus who are at Philippi, with the overseers and deacons:
2 Grace to you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
3 I thank my God upon every remembrance of you,
4 Always, in every prayer of mine for you all, I make my requests with joy,
5 Because of your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now;
6 Being confident of this very thing, that he who has begun a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Jesus Christ.
7 It is right for me to think this way of you all, because I have you in my heart; since both in my imprisonment, and in the defence and confirmation of the gospel, you are all partakers with me of grace.
8 For God is my witness, how greatly I long for you all with the affection of Jesus Christ.
9 And this I pray, that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and in all discernment;
10 That you may approve things that are excellent; that you may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ;
11 Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are from Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.
12 But I would have you understand, brethren, that the things which happened to me have really served to advance the gospel;
13 So that my imprisonment in Christ has become known throughout the entire praetorian guard, and to all the others;
14 And many of the brethren, growing confident in the Lord because of my imprisonment, are much more bold to speak the word without fear.
15 Some indeed preach Christ from envy and rivalry; and some also from good will;
16 The later out of love, knowing that I am appointed for the defence of the gospel:
17 The former preach Christ out of selfish ambition, not sincerely, supposing to add affliction to my imprisonment
18 What then? Only that in every way, whether in pretence, or in truth, Christ is preached; and in this I rejoice, yea, and will rejoice.
19 For I know that this shall turn out for my deliverance through your prayers and the help of the Spirit of Jesus Christ,
20 According to my earnest expectation and hope, that in nothing shall I be ashamed, but that with all boldness, now as always, Christ shall be exalted in my body, whether by life, or by death.
21 For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.
22 But if I live in the flesh, that means fruitful labour for me: yet what I shall choose I do not know.
23 For I am hard-pressed between the two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better:
24 Nevertheless, to remain in the flesh is more necessary for you.
25 And having this confidence, I know that I shall remain and continue with you all for your progress and joy in the faith;
26 That in me your rejoicing may be more abundant in Jesus Christ, through my coming to you again.
27 Only conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or am absent, I may hear of you, that you are standing fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel;
28 And in no way terrified by your adversaries: which is to them a sign of their destruction, but to you of your salvation, and that from God.
29 For to you it is granted on behalf of Christ, not only to believe in him, but also to suffer for his sake;
30 Having the same conflict which you saw to be mine, and now hear to be mine still.

23 And being let go, they went to their own people, and reported all that the chief priests and elders had said to them.
24 And when they heard this, they lifted up their voices to God with one accord, and said, Lord, you are he who made the heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all that is in them:

16 And it came to pass, as we went to prayer, a certain slave girl possessed by a spirit of divination met us, and she brought her masters much gain by fortune-telling:
17 She followed Paul and us, and cried out, These men are servants of the most high God, who proclaim to you the way of salvation.
18 And this she did for many days. But Paul, being greatly annoyed, turned and said to the spirit, I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And it came out that same hour.
19 And when her masters saw that their hope for profit was gone, they caught Paul and Silas, and dragged them into the marketplace before the rulers,
20 And having brought them to the magistrates, they said, These men, being Jews, are troubling our city exceedingly,
21 And they teach customs which are not lawful for us Romans to accept, or to observe.
22 And the multitude also rose up against them: and the magistrates tore the clothes off of them, and commanded that they be beaten with rods.

27 And the keeper of the prison awakened out of his sleep, and seeing the prison doors open, he drew his sword, and was about to kill himself, supposing that the prisoners had fled.
28 But Paul cried out with a loud voice, saying, Do yourself no harm: for we are all here.
29 Then he called for a light, and rushed in, and came trembling, and fell down before Paul and Silas,
30 And brought them out, and said, Men, what must I do to be saved?
31 And they said, Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you shall be saved, you and your household.
32 And they spoke the word of the Lord to him, and to all who were in his house.
33 And he took them that same hour of the night, and washed their wounds; and was immediately baptized, he and all his household.
34 And when he had brought them into his house, he set food before them, and rejoiced with all his household, because they believed in God.
35 And when it was day, the magistrates sent officers, saying, Let those men go.
36 And the keeper of the prison told this to Paul, The magistrates have sent to let you go: now therefore depart, and go in peace.
37 But Paul said to them, They have beaten us openly, uncondemned, men who are Romans, and have cast us into prison; and now do they send us away secretly? no indeed; let them come themselves and fetch us out.
38 And the officers told these words to the magistrates: and they were afraid when they heard that they were Romans.
39 And they came to appease them, and brought them out, and asked them to depart from the city.
40 So they went out of the prison, and entered the house of Lydia: and when they had seen the brethren, they encouraged them, then departed.

12 When we heard these things, both we, and the people of that place, begged him not to go up to Jerusalem.

29 (For they had earlier seen him in the city with Trophimus, an Ephesian, whom they supposed that Paul had brought into the temple.)
30 And all the city was aroused, and the people ran together: and they took Paul, and dragged him out of the temple: and immediately the doors were shut.
31 And as they tried to kill him, word came to the commander of the Roman garrison, that all Jerusalem was in an uproar.
32 He immediately took soldiers and centurions, and ran down to them: and when they saw the commander and the soldiers, they stopped beating Paul.

35 And when he came to the stairs, he had to be carried by the soldiers because of the violence of the people.
36 For the multitude of people followed, crying out, Away with him.

1 Brethren, and fathers, hear my defence which I make to you now.
2 And when they heard that he spoke in the Hebrew tongue to them, they kept silent: and he said,
3 I am a Jew, born in Tarsus, a city in Cilicia, yet brought up in this city at the feet of Gamaliel, and taught according to the strict manner of the law of our fathers, and was zealous for God, as you all are this day.
4 And I persecuted this way to the death, binding and delivering into prisons both men and women,
5 As the high priest and all the council of the elders can bear witness. For I received from them letters to the brethren, and I went to Damascus to take those who were there and bring them bound to Jerusalem, to be punished.
6 And it came to pass, that as I made my journey, and had come near to Damascus about noon, suddenly there shone from heaven a great light around me.
7 And I fell to the ground, and heard a voice saying to me, Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?
8 And I answered, Who are you, Lord? And he said to me, I am Jesus of Nazareth, whom you are persecuting.
9 And those who were with me saw the light, but they did not hear the voice of the one who spoke to me.
10 And I said, What shall I do, Lord? And the Lord said to me, Arise, and go into Damascus; and there it shall be told to you all things which are appointed for you to do.
11 And since I could not see because of the glory of that light, I was led by the hand by those who were with me, and came into Damascus.
12 And one Ananias, a devout man according to the law, having a good reputation among all the Jews who lived there,
13 Came to me, and stood, and said to me, Brother Saul, receive your sight. And that very hour I could see him.
14 And he said, The God of our fathers has chosen you to know his will, and to see the Just One, and to hear the voice of his mouth.
15 For you shall be his witness to all men of what you have seen and heard.
16 And now why do you delay? arise, and be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on his name.
17 And it came to pass, that when I had come again to Jerusalem, while I prayed in the temple, I fell into a trance;
18 And saw him saying to me, Make haste, and quickly get out of Jerusalem: for they will not receive your testimony concerning me.
19 And I said, Lord, they know that in every synagogue I imprisoned and beat those who believed in you:
20 And when the blood of your martyr Stephen was shed, I was standing by, and consenting to his death, and kept the garments of those who killed him.
21 And he said to me, Depart: for I will send you far away to the Gentiles.
22 And until this word they listened to him, then they lifted up their voices, and said, Away with such a fellow from the earth: for it is not fit that he should live.
23 And as they were crying out, and waving their garments, and throwing dust into the air,
24 The commander ordered him to be brought into the barracks, and directed that he should be examined by scourging; that he might know why they cried out against him so.
25 And as they bound him with thongs, Paul said to the centurion who stood by, Is it lawful for you to scourge a man who is a Roman, and uncondemned?
26 When the centurion heard that, he went and told the commander, saying, Take heed what you do: for this man is a Roman.
27 Then the commander came, and said to him, Tell me, are you a Roman? He said, Yes.
28 And the commander answered, I obtained this citizenship with a great sum of money. And Paul said, But I was born a citizen.
29 Then immediately those who would have examined him departed from him; and the commander was also afraid after he learned that he was a Roman and that he had bound him.
30 On the next day, because he wanted to know exactly why he was accused by the Jews, he loosed him from his bonds, and commanded the chief priests and all the council to appear, and brought Paul down, and set him before them.
Acts 24:16
16 So I discipline myself, to always have a clear conscience before God and men.
Acts 24:24
24 And after some days, when Felix came with his wife Drusilla, who was a Jewess, he sent for Paul, and heard him concerning faith in Christ Jesus.
Acts 26:1
1 Then Agrippa said to Paul, You are permitted to speak for yourself. Then Paul stretched forth his hand, and made his defence:
Acts 26:24
24 And as he spoke thus in his defence, Festus said with a loud voice, Paul, you are raving; your great learning is making you mad.
Acts 26:29
29 And Paul said, I would to God, that in a short or long time, not only you, but also all who hear me this day, might be as I am, except for these chains.
Acts 26:31
31 And when they had withdrawn, they talked among themselves, saying, This man has done nothing worthy of death or imprisonment.
Acts 28:1-31
1 And when they had escaped, then we learned that the island was called Malta.
2 And the native people showed us unusual kindness: for they kindled a fire, and welcomed every one of us, because it had begun to rain and was cold.
3 And when Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks, and laid them on the fire, a viper came out because of the heat, and fastened on his hand.
4 And when the natives saw the creature hanging on his hand, they said to themselves, No doubt this man is a murderer, and though he has escaped the sea, yet justice does not allow him to live.
5 And he shook off the creature into the fire, and suffered no harm.
6 They expected he would have swollen up, or suddenly fallen down dead: but after they watched a great while, and saw no harm come to him, they changed their minds, and said that he was a god.
7 In the same vicinity were estates owned by the chief man of the island, whose name was Publius; who welcomed us, and courteously entertained us for three days.
8 And it came to pass, that the father of Publius lay sick, afflicted with a fever and dysentery: Paul went in to see him, and prayed, and laid his hands on him, and healed him.
9 When this was done, the others on the island who had diseases, came, and were healed.
10 And they honoured us with many honours; and when we departed, they put on board everything we needed.
11 And after three months we departed in a ship of Alexandria, which had wintered in the isle, whose figurehead was Castor and Pollux.
12 And landing at Syracuse, we remained there three days.
13 And from there we circled around and came to Rhegium: and after one day the south wind blew, and we arrived the next day at Puteoli,
14 Where we found brethren, and were asked to remain with them seven days: and so we went toward Rome.
15 And when the brethren there heard of us, they came to meet us, as far as Appii forum and The three taverns: when Paul saw them, he thanked God, and took courage.
16 And when we came to Rome, Paul was allowed to live by himself with a soldier who guarded him.
17 And it came to pass, that after three days Paul called the chief men of the Jews together: and when they had come together, he said to them, Brethren, though I have done nothing against the people, or customs of our fathers, yet I was delivered as a prisoner from Jerusalem into the hands of the Romans.
Acts 28:17
17 And it came to pass, that after three days Paul called the chief men of the Jews together: and when they had come together, he said to them, Brethren, though I have done nothing against the people, or customs of our fathers, yet I was delivered as a prisoner from Jerusalem into the hands of the Romans.
18 When they had examined me, they would have let me go, because there was no cause for putting me to death.
19 But when the Jews spoke against it, I was forced to appeal to Caesar; not that I had any charge to bring against my own nation.
20 Therefore, for this reason I have called for you, to see you, and to speak with you: because it is for the hope of Israel that I am bound with this chain.
Acts 28:20
20 Therefore, for this reason I have called for you, to see you, and to speak with you: because it is for the hope of Israel that I am bound with this chain.
21 And they said to him, We neither received letters from Judaea concerning you, nor have any of the brethren who have come here reported or spoken any evil against you.
22 But we desire to hear from you what your views are: for concerning this sect, we know that it is spoken against everywhere.
23 And when they had appointed a day, many came to him in his lodging; to whom he explained and testified of the kingdom of God, trying to persuade them concerning Jesus, both out of the law of Moses, and out of the prophets, from morning until evening.
24 And some believed the things which were spoken, and some did not believe.
25 And when they could not agree among themselves, they departed, after Paul spoke one last statement, Well did the Holy Spirit speak by Isaiah the prophet to our fathers,
26 Saying, Go to this people, and say, You shall keep hearing, and shall not understand; and keep seeing, but not perceive:
27 For the heart of this people has grown calloused, and with their ears they barely hear, and they have closed their eyes; lest they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and turn, that I should heal them.
28 Therefore let it be known to you, that the salvation of God has been sent to the Gentiles, and they will hear it.
Acts 28:28
28 Therefore let it be known to you, that the salvation of God has been sent to the Gentiles, and they will hear it.
29 [And when he had said these words, the Jews departed, and had a great dispute among themselves.]
30 And he lived two years in his own rented house, and welcomed all who came to see him,
Acts 28:30
Romans 1:1
1 Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, set apart for the gospel of God,
Romans 1:5
5 By whom we have received grace and apostleship, to bring about the obedience of faith among all the nations, for his name's sake;
Romans 1:7
7 To all who are in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.
8 First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, because your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world.
9 For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of his Son, that without ceasing I make mention of you in my prayers;
Romans 1:9
9 For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of his Son, that without ceasing I make mention of you in my prayers;
Romans 1:11-12
11 For I long to see you, that I may impart to you some spiritual gift, so you may be established;
12 That is, that we may together be comforted, each by the other's faith, both yours and mine.
13 Now I would not have you be ignorant, brethren, that I often intended to come to you, (but was prevented until now,) that I might have some fruit among you also, even as among the other Gentiles.
14 I am debtor both to the Greeks, and to the barbarians; both to the wise, and to the foolish.
15 So, for my part, I am ready to preach the gospel to you who are in Rome also.
16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
Romans 1:16
Romans 2:18
18 And know his will, and approve the things that are excellent, being instructed out of the law;
Romans 3:9
9 What then? are we better than they? No, by no means: for we have already charged that both Jews and Greeks are all under sin;
Romans 5:2
Romans 5:5
5 And hope does not disappoint; because the love of God has been poured into our hearts by the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.
Romans 6:13
13 Do not yield your members to sin as instruments of unrighteousness: but yield yourselves to God, as those who are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God.
Romans 6:15
15 What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? By no means.
Romans 6:17
17 But thanks be to God, that you who were once the slaves of sin, have obeyed from the heart that standard of teaching which was entrusted to you.
Romans 6:19
19 I speak after the manner of men, because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as you have yielded your members as slaves to uncleanness and to ever increasing iniquity; so now yield your members as slaves to righteousness, leading to holiness.
Romans 6:22
22 But now, having been set free from sin, and having become slaves of God, you gain the benefit that leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life.
Romans 7:16
16 But if I do that which I do not want to do, I agree that the law is good.
Romans 7:22
22 For I delight in the law of God in my inner man:
Romans 8:7
7 Because the mind set on the flesh is hostile to God: for it is not subject to the law of God, indeed it cannot be.
Romans 8:9
9 But you are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if the Spirit of God lives in you. Now if any man does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to him.
Romans 8:17
17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if indeed we suffer with him that we may also be glorified with him.
Romans 8:19
19 For the creation waits in earnest expectation for the revealing of the sons of God.
Romans 8:28-30
28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to his purpose.
Romans 8:28
28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to his purpose.
29 For whom he foreknew, he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
30 And whom he predestined, those he also called: and whom he called, those he also justified: and whom he justified, those he also glorified.
Romans 8:35-39
35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
Romans 8:35-37
Romans 8:36-37
Romans 8:37-39
37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
Romans 8:37-37
37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers,
39 Nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 9:1
1 I speak the truth in Christ, I am not lying, my conscience also bearing me witness in the Holy Spirit,
Romans 9:33
33 As it is written, Behold, I lay in Zion a stumbling stone, a rock that will make them fall: but whoever believes in him shall never be put to shame.
Romans 10:8
8 But what does it say? The word is near you, even in your mouth, and in your heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach:
Romans 11:2
2 God has not cast away his people whom he foreknew. Do you not know what the scripture says of Elijah? how he appealed to God against Israel, saying,
Romans 11:17
17 And if some of the branches were broken off, and you, a wild olive shoot, were grafted in among them, and with them partake in the rich root of the olive tree;
Romans 12:1
1 Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service of worship.
2 And do not be conformed to this world: but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good, and acceptable, and perfect.
Romans 12:4-5
Romans 12:9
9 Let love be genuine. Abhor that which is evil; cling to that which is good.
Romans 12:13
13 Contributing to the saints who are in need; practicing hospitality.
Romans 14:7-9
7 For none of us lives for himself, and none of us dies for himself.
8 For if we live, we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the Lord: therefore, whether we live or die, we are the Lord's.
9 For to this end Christ both died, and rose to life, that he might be Lord of both the dead and the living.
Romans 14:20-21
Romans 15:13
13 Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Spirit.
Romans 15:16
16 That I should be a minister of Christ Jesus to the Gentiles, in the priestly service of the gospel of God, that the offering of the Gentiles might be acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Spirit.
Romans 15:18
18 For I will not dare to speak of any work except what Christ has done through me, to make the Gentiles obedient, by word and deed,
Romans 15:26
26 For it has pleased those of Macedonia and Achaia to make a contribution for the poor among the saints who are at Jerusalem.
Romans 15:28
Romans 16:17
17 Now I urge you, brethren, take note of those who cause divisions and difficulties, contrary to the doctrine which you have learned; and avoid them.
Romans 16:17-18
1 Corinthians 1:1-2
1 Paul, called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, and Sosthenes our brother,
2 To the church of God which is at Corinth, to those who are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all those in every place who call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both their Lord and ours:
1 Corinthians 1:4
4 I thank my God always for you, because of the grace of God which has been given you in Jesus Christ;
1 Corinthians 1:8
8 Who shall also confirm you to the end, blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.
9 God is faithful, by whom you were called into fellowship with his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.
10 Now I urge you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all agree, and that there be no divisions among you; but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.
1 Corinthians 1:23
23 But we preach Christ crucified, to the Jews a stumbling block, and to the Greeks foolishness;
1 Corinthians 1:30
30 But because of him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God, and righteousness, and holiness, and redemption:
1 Corinthians 3:3-4
1 Corinthians 3:22
22 Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are yours;
1 Corinthians 4:9-14
9 For I think that God has exhibited us apostles last of all, as if we were condemned to death: for we have become a spectacle to the world, to angels and to men.
10 We are fools for Christ's sake, but you are wise in Christ; we are weak, but you are strong; you are honoured, but we are despised.
11 Even to this present hour we both hunger and thirst, and are ill-clothed, and are buffeted, and are homeless;
12 And we labour, working with our own hands: when reviled, we bless; when persecuted, we endure it:
13 When slandered, we answer kindly; we have been made the filth of the world, the offscouring of all things, even to this day.
14 I do not write these things to shame you, but as my beloved children I warn you.
1 Corinthians 4:17
17 For this reason I have sent to you Timothy, who is my beloved son, and faithful in the Lord, who shall remind you of my ways in Christ, as I teach everywhere in every church.
1 Corinthians 6:20
20 For you have been bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body.
1 Corinthians 7:34
34 And his interests are divided. And the unmarried woman or the virgin cares for the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and in spirit: but she who is married cares for the things of the world, how she may please her husband.
1 Corinthians 8:13
13 Therefore, if food makes my brother fall, I will never again eat meat, lest I make my brother fall.
1 Corinthians 9:16-17
1 Corinthians 9:23
23 And this I do for the gospel's sake, that I might be a partaker in its blessings.
1 Corinthians 10:19
19 What do I say then? that an idol is anything, or that food offered in sacrifice to idols is anything?
1 Corinthians 10:31
1 Corinthians 12:12-31
12 For just as the body is one, and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body: so it is with Christ.
13 For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether slave or free; and have all been made to drink of one Spirit.
14 For the body is not one member, but many.
15 If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not part of the body; is it therefore not part of the body?
16 And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not part of the body; is it therefore not part of the body?
17 If the whole body were an eye, where would the hearing be? If the whole were hearing, where would the sense of smell be?
18 But now God has set the members, every one of them, in the body, as it has pleased him.
19 And if they were all one member, where would the body be?
20 But as it is, there are many members, yet one body.
21 And the eye cannot say to the hand, I have no need of you: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you.
22 No, those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are the most necessary:
23 And those members of the body, which we think to be less honourable, upon these we bestow more abundant honour; and our unpresentable parts are treated with special modesty,
24 Of which our presentable parts have no need: but God has composed the body, giving more abundant honour to that part which lacked it:
25 That there should be no division in the body; but that the members should have the same care for one another.
26 And if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; or if one member is honoured, all the members rejoice with it.
27 Now you are the body of Christ, and individually members of it.
28 And God has appointed in the church, first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, after that workers of miracles, then those with gifts of healing, helpers, administrators, and those who speak in different tongues.
29 Are all apostles? are all prophets? are all teachers? are all workers of miracles?
30 Do all have gifts of healing? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret?
31 But earnestly desire the best gifts: and yet I will show you a more excellent way.
1 Corinthians 13:3
3 And if I give all my goods to feed the poor, and if I give my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing.
1 Corinthians 13:7
7 Bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
1 Corinthians 14:15
15 What am I to do? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the mind also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the mind also.
1 Corinthians 14:20
20 Brethren, do not be children in understanding: in evil be infants, but in understanding be men.
1 Corinthians 15:11
11 Therefore, whether it was I or they, this we preach, and this you believed.
1 Corinthians 15:30-32
1 Corinthians 15:31-32
1 Corinthians 15:58
58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
1 Corinthians 16:10
10 Now if Timothy comes, see that he has no cause for fear while he is with you: for he is doing the work of the Lord, as I am.
1 Corinthians 16:13-14
2 Corinthians 1:1
1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Timothy our brother, to the church of God which is at Corinth, with all the saints who are in all Achaia:
2 Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort;
4 Who comforts us in all our troubles, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.
5 For as we abundantly share in the sufferings of Christ, so through Christ we also abundantly share in comfort.
6 But if we are afflicted, it is for your comfort and salvation; and if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which works in you when you patiently endure the same sufferings which we suffer.
7 And our hope for you is steadfast, knowing, that as you are partakers of our sufferings, so you also partake of our comfort.
2 Corinthians 1:11
11 As you help by praying for us. Then thanks will be given by many on our behalf for the favour bestowed upon us by the prayers of many.
12 For our boast is in this: the testimony of our conscience, that in simplicity and godly sincerity, not with fleshly wisdom, but by the grace of God, we have conducted ourselves in the world, and still more toward you.
2 Corinthians 1:14
2 Corinthians 1:19
19 For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by us, by myself and Silvanus and Timothy, was not yes and no, but in him is always yes.
2 Corinthians 1:24
24 Not that we lord it over your faith, but we work with you for your joy: for in your faith you stand firm.
2 Corinthians 2:3
3 And I wrote this same thing to you, lest, when I came, I should have sorrow from those who ought to make me rejoice; for I had confidence in all of you, that my joy would be the joy of all of you.
2 Corinthians 2:14-16
14 Now thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and makes manifest through us the fragrance of the knowledge of him in every place.
15 For we are an aroma of Christ to God, among those who are being saved, and among those who are perishing:
16 To the one we are the aroma of death to death; and to the other the aroma of life to life. And who is equal to such a calling?
17 For we are not as so many, who peddle the word of God: but as men of sincerity, as from God, we speak in Christ in the sight of God.
2 Corinthians 3:2
2 You are our letter, written on our hearts, known and read by all men:
2 Corinthians 4:1-2
1 Therefore, since we have this ministry by God's mercy, we do not loose heart;
2 But we have renounced the hidden, shameful things, and do not walk in craftiness, nor handle the word of God deceitfully; but by the manifestation of the truth we commend ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.
2 Corinthians 4:4
2 Corinthians 4:10
10 Always carrying about in our body the dying of Jesus, that the life of Jesus might also be made manifest in our body.
2 Corinthians 5:1
1 For we know that if the earthly tent in which we live is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.
2 Corinthians 5:6
6 Therefore, we are always confident, knowing that while we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord:
2 Corinthians 5:8
8 We are confident, and would rather be absent from the body, and present with the Lord.
2 Corinthians 5:12
12 For we do not commend ourselves to you again, but give you occasion to be proud of us, that you may have something to answer those who take pride in appearance, and not in the heart.
2 Corinthians 5:15
15 And he died for all, that those who live should not henceforth live for themselves, but for him who died for them, and rose again.
2 Corinthians 6:3
3 We give no offence in anything, that the ministry may not be discredited:
2 Corinthians 6:12
12 There is no restraint in our affection for you, but you are restrained in your affection for us.
2 Corinthians 7:3
3 I do not speak this to condemn you: for I have said before, that you are in our hearts to die with you and to live with you.
2 Corinthians 7:6
6 But God, who comforts those who are cast down, comforted us by the coming of Titus;
2 Corinthians 7:14
14 For if I have boasted at all to him about you, I was not put to shame; but as we spoke all things to you in truth, even so our boasting to Titus has proved true.
15 And his inward affection abounds even more toward you, as he remembers the obedience of you all, how with fear and trembling you received him.
16 I rejoice that in all things I have confidence in you.
2 Corinthians 8:1
1 And now, brethren, we want you to know of the grace of God bestowed on the churches of Macedonia;
2 Corinthians 8:7
2 Corinthians 9:4
4 Lest if any from Macedonia come with me, and find you unprepared, we (to say nothing of you) should be put to shame by this confidence.
2 Corinthians 9:10
10 Now he who provides seed to the sower and bread for food, will supply and multiply your seed for sowing, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;
2 Corinthians 9:13
13 Because of the proof given by this service, they will glorify God because of your obedience to the gospel of Christ, which you profess, and for your liberal contribution to them, and to all;
2 Corinthians 10:3
3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not wage war according to the flesh:
2 Corinthians 10:8
8 For though I should boast somewhat freely of our authority, which the Lord has given us for building you up, and not for your destruction, I shall not be put to shame.
2 Corinthians 11:13-15
13 For such men are false apostles, deceitful workers, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ.
2 Corinthians 11:13
13 For such men are false apostles, deceitful workers, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ.
14 And no wonder; for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light.
15 Therefore it is no surprise if his servants are also disguised as servants of righteousness; their end shall be according to their works.
2 Corinthians 12:20
20 For I fear that when I come, I shall not find you as I wish, and you shall not find me to be as you wish; lest perhaps there may be quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of wrath, rivalries, slander, gossip, conceit, disorder:
2 Corinthians 13:9
9 For we are glad when we are weak, and you are strong: and this is our prayer, for your perfection.
2 Corinthians 13:11
11 Finally, brethren, farewell. Aim to be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.
Galatians 1:7
7 Which is not truly another; but there are some who trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.
Galatians 1:20
20 (Now these things which I am writing to you, behold, before God, I do not lie.)
Galatians 2:4
4 That arose because of false brethren who secretly slipped in to spy out the liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage.
Galatians 2:7-8
Galatians 2:20
20 I have been crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ lives in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
Galatians 4:6
6 And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.
Galatians 4:19
19 My little children, with whom I again suffer birth pains until Christ is formed in you,
Galatians 5:6
6 For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision nor uncircumcision counts for anything; but faith which works through love.
Galatians 5:10
Galatians 5:22-23
Galatians 6:14
14 But God forbid that I should glory, except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified to me, and I to the world.
Ephesians 1:1
1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints who are at Ephesus, the faithful in Christ Jesus:
Ephesians 1:12
12 That we who first trusted in Christ should live for the praise of his glory.
13 In him you also, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: having also believed, you were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit,
14 Who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God's possession, to the praise of his glory.
Ephesians 1:14
Ephesians 1:15-16
15 Therefore, I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love for all the saints,
Ephesians 1:15-23
Ephesians 1:16-23
16 Do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers;
17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:
18 That the eyes of your heart may be enlightened; so you may know what is the hope of his calling, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints,
19 And what is the incomparable greatness of his power toward us who believe. It is the working of his mighty power,
20 Which he exerted in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,
21 Far above all rule, and authority, and power, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come.
22 And he has put all things under his feet, and has appointed him to be the head over all things for the church,
23 Which is his body, the fulness of him who fills all things everywhere.
Ephesians 2:4-10
4 But God, who is rich in mercy, because of his great love with which he loved us,
5 Even when we were dead in transgressions, has made us alive together with Christ, (by grace you are saved;)
6 And has raised us up with him, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus:
7 That in the ages to come he might show the incomparable riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.
8 For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Ephesians 2:8
Ephesians 2:10
10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God has prepared beforehand for us to do.
Ephesians 2:19-22
19 Now then, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints, and members of the household of God;
20 Built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the cornerstone;
21 In whom the whole building is joined together and grows to become a holy temple in the Lord:
22 In whom you also are built together into a dwelling of God in the Spirit.
Ephesians 3:1
1 For this reason I, Paul, a prisoner of Christ Jesus for you Gentiles,
Ephesians 3:6
6 That is, that the Gentiles are fellow heirs, members of the same body, and sharers together of the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel:
Ephesians 3:13
13 Therefore I ask that you not be discouraged at my tribulations for you, which are your glory.

1 Therefore I, a prisoner of the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called,

15 But speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all things into him, who is the head, that is, Christ:

17 Therefore, do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is.
Ephesians 5:27
27 That he might present her to himself a glorious church, without spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that she should be holy and without blemish.
Ephesians 6:11-18
11 Put on the whole armour of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against rulers, against authorities, against the powers of darkness of this world, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
13 Therefore, take up the whole armour of God, that you may be able to withstand on the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having your loins girded about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15 And your feet shod with the readiness that is from the gospel of peace.
16 In addition to all these, take up the shield of faith, with which you shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
18 Praying always in the Spirit with all manner of prayer and supplication. To that end keep alert in it with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints;

24 Grace be to all those who love our Lord Jesus Christ with an undying love.
Philippians 1:5
5 Because of your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now;
6 Being confident of this very thing, that he who has begun a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Jesus Christ.
7 It is right for me to think this way of you all, because I have you in my heart; since both in my imprisonment, and in the defence and confirmation of the gospel, you are all partakers with me of grace.
Philippians 1:9-11
Philippians 1:10
10 That you may approve things that are excellent; that you may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ;
11 Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are from Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.
12 But I would have you understand, brethren, that the things which happened to me have really served to advance the gospel;
Philippians 1:14-17
14 And many of the brethren, growing confident in the Lord because of my imprisonment, are much more bold to speak the word without fear.
Philippians 1:14
14 And many of the brethren, growing confident in the Lord because of my imprisonment, are much more bold to speak the word without fear.
15 Some indeed preach Christ from envy and rivalry; and some also from good will;
16 The later out of love, knowing that I am appointed for the defence of the gospel:

24 And I trust in the Lord that I myself shall also come shortly.
Philippians 2:26
26 For he longed after you all, and was full of distress, because you had heard that he had been sick.
Philippians 3:1
1 Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. For me to write the same things to you is no trouble, and is a safeguard for you.
Philippians 3:3
3 For we are the true circumcision, who worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and put no confidence in the flesh,

Philippians 4:4
4 Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice.
Philippians 4:10
10 But I rejoice in the Lord greatly, that now at last you have revived your care for me; indeed, you did care, but you lacked opportunity.
Philippians 4:14-15
14 Nevertheless, you have done well to share in my affliction.
Philippians 4:14
Philippians 4:17
17 Not because I desire a gift: but I desire the fruit that increases to your credit.
Philippians 4:22
22 All the saints greet you, especially those who are of Caesar's household.
Colossians 1:1-2
1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Timothy our brother,
2 To the saints and faithful brethren in Christ who are at Colossae: Grace to you, and peace, from God our Father.
3 We give thanks to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you,
4 Since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus, and of the love which you have for all the saints,
Colossians 1:4
4 Since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus, and of the love which you have for all the saints,
Colossians 1:6
6 Which has come to you. In all the world it brings forth fruit and grows, as it does also in you, since the day you heard of it, and understood the grace of God in truth:
Colossians 1:9
9 For this reason, since the day we heard it, we do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;
10 That you might walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please him in all things, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;
Colossians 1:21-23
21 And you who were at one time alienated and enemies in your minds because of wicked deeds,
22 He has now reconciled in his body of flesh through death, to present you holy and blameless and irreproachable in his sight:
23 If you continue in the faith, grounded and steadfast, and are not moved away from the hope of the gospel which you have heard, which was preached to every creature under heaven; and of which I, Paul, was made a minister.
24 Now I rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up in my flesh that which is lacking in the afflictions of Christ for his body's sake, which is the church:
Colossians 1:29-2:1
29 For this I labour, striving according to his power, which works mightily within me.
Colossians 2:1
1 For I want you to know what a great struggle I have for you, and for those at Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh;
Colossians 2:5
5 For though I am absent in the flesh, yet I am with you in the spirit, rejoicing and beholding your good order, and the steadfastness of your faith in Christ.
Colossians 2:12
12 Having been buried with him in baptism, you have also risen with him through faith in the working of God, who raised him from the dead.
Colossians 3:4
4 When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then you shall also appear with him in glory.
Colossians 3:10
10 And have put on the new man, who is being renewed in knowledge after the image of the one who created him.
Colossians 3:12
12 Therefore, as the chosen of God, holy and beloved, put on hearts of mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience;
Colossians 4:3
3 And pray also for us, that God would open for us a door for the word, that we may speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am in prison:
Colossians 4:3-18
Colossians 4:4
4 That I may make it clear, as I should.
5 Walk in wisdom toward those who are outside, making the most of the time.
6 Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer every man.
7 All my affairs Tychicus shall declare to you; he is a beloved brother, and a faithful minister and fellow servant in the Lord.
Colossians 4:7
7 All my affairs Tychicus shall declare to you; he is a beloved brother, and a faithful minister and fellow servant in the Lord.
8 I have sent him to you for that very purpose, that you might know of our circumstances, and that he might encourage your hearts.
9 With him is Onesimus, a faithful and beloved brother, who is one of you. They shall make known to you all things which have taken place here.
10 Aristarchus, my fellow prisoner, greets you, as does Mark, the cousin of Barnabas, (regarding him you received instructions: that if he comes to you, welcome him;)
11 And Jesus, who is called Justus. These are my only fellow workers for the kingdom of God who are of the circumcision, and they have been a comfort to me.
12 Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ, greets you, always labouring fervently for you in prayer, that you may stand firm and fully assured in all the will of God.
13 For I bear him witness, that he has a great zeal for you, and for those in Laodicea and Hierapolis.
14 Luke, the beloved physician, and Demas, greet you.
15 Greet the brethren who are in Laodicea, and Nympha, and the church which is in her house.
16 And when this letter is read among you, have it also read to the church of the Laodiceans; and you, likewise, read the letter from Laodicea.
17 And say to Archippus, Take heed that you fulfill the ministry which you have received in the Lord.
18 I, Paul, write this greeting in my own hand. Remember my chains. Grace be with you.
Colossians 4:18-18
18 I, Paul, write this greeting in my own hand. Remember my chains. Grace be with you.
1 Thessalonians 1:1
1 Thessalonians 1:2
2 We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers;
1 Thessalonians 1:2-5
1 Thessalonians 1:3
3 Always remembering your work of faith, and labour of love, and endurance of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of our God and Father;
1 Thessalonians 1:3-5
3 Always remembering your work of faith, and labour of love, and endurance of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of our God and Father;
4 Knowing, brethren loved by God, that he has chosen you.
5 For our gospel came to you not in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Spirit, and with full conviction. You know what manner of men we were among you for your sake.
1 Thessalonians 1:8-9
8 For from you the word of the Lord sounded out not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but your faith in God has spread abroad; so that we need not speak anything.
9 For they themselves testify about what manner of reception we had from you, and how you turned to God from idols to serve a living and true God;
1 Thessalonians 2:1
1 Thessalonians 2:5
5 For at no time did we use either flattering words, as you know, or a cloak for greed; as God is witness:
1 Thessalonians 2:8
8 So having a yearning affection for you, we were willing to impart to you, not only the gospel of God, but also our own selves, because you had become very dear to us.
1 Thessalonians 2:11-12
11 Just as you know how we exhorted and comforted and implored every one of you, as a father does his children,
12 That you would walk in a manner worthy of God, who has called you into his kingdom and glory.
13 For this reason we also thank God without ceasing, because, when you received the word of God which you heard from us, you received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which performs its work in you who believe.
14 For you, brethren, became followers of the churches of God in Christ Jesus which are in Judaea: for you also have suffered the same things from your own countrymen, even as they have from the Jews:
15 Who both killed the Lord Jesus, and their own prophets, and have persecuted us. They do not please God, and oppose all men,
1 Thessalonians 2:19-20
1 Thessalonians 3:2-4
2 And sent Timothy, our brother, and fellow-worker for God in the gospel of Christ, to establish you, and to comfort you in your faith:
3 That no man should be disturbed by these afflictions: for you yourselves know that we are destined for this.
4 For truly, when we were with you, we told you beforehand that we should suffer tribulation; just as it came to pass, as you know.
1 Thessalonians 3:6
6 But now that Timothy has come from you to us, and brought us good tidings of your faith and love, and reported that you always remember us kindly, greatly desiring to see us, as we also desire to see you:
1 Thessalonians 3:9
9 For what thanks can we render to God for you, for all the joy which we have before our God because of you;
1 Thessalonians 3:12
1 Thessalonians 4:1
1 Furthermore, we urge you, brethren, and exhort you in the Lord Jesus, that as you have learned from us how you ought to walk and to please God, as indeed you are doing, so you would do more and more.
1 Thessalonians 4:9-10
1 Thessalonians 4:13-15
13 Now I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who are asleep, that you may not sorrow, as others who have no hope.
14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with him those who sleep in Jesus.
15 For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord shall not precede those who are asleep.
1 Thessalonians 4:17
17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
1 Thessalonians 5:5
5 You are all sons of light, and sons of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.
1 Thessalonians 5:21
21 Test all things; hold fast that which is good.
1 Thessalonians 5:23-24
23 Now may the God of peace himself sanctify you wholly; and may your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
1 Thessalonians 5:23
2 Thessalonians 1:1
1 Paul, and Silvanus, and Timothy, to the church of the Thessalonians in God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ:
2 Thessalonians 1:3
3 We ought always to thank God for you, brethren, as is fitting, because your faith grows abundantly, and the love of every one of you for each other grows greater;
2 Thessalonians 1:5-6
2 Thessalonians 1:10
10 When he shall come to be glorified in his saints on that day, and to be marveled at among all those who believe, including you, because our testimony among you was believed.
11 With this in mind we pray always for you, that our God may count you worthy of his calling, and would with power fulfill every good purpose and work of faith:
12 That the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and you in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.
2 Thessalonians 2:13-14
2 Thessalonians 3:4
4 And we have confidence in the Lord regarding you, that you are doing and will continue to do the things which we command.
1 Timothy 1:2
2 To Timothy, my true son in the faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God our Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.
1 Timothy 1:11
11 According to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust.
1 Timothy 1:19
19 Holding on to faith and a good conscience; which some have rejected and so shipwrecked their faith:
1 Timothy 2:7
7 And for this I have been appointed a preacher, and an apostle, (I speak the truth in Christ and am not lying;) a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth.
1 Timothy 3:1-2
1 Timothy 3:8
8 Deacons, likewise, must be serious, not double-tongued, not given to much wine, not greedy for gain;
1 Timothy 3:10-13
10 Let these be tested first; then, if blameless, let them serve as deacons.
11 In the same way, the women must be serious, not malicious gossips, but temperate, faithful in all things.
12 A deacon must be the husband of but one wife, ruling his children and his own house well.
13 For those who serve well in the office of deacon acquire for themselves a good standing, and great boldness in their faith in Christ Jesus.
1 Timothy 3:16
16 And beyond question, great is the mystery of godliness: He was revealed in the flesh, vindicated in the Spirit, seen by angels, preached among the nations, believed on in the world, taken up in glory.
1 Timothy 6:12
12 Fight the good fight of faith; lay hold on eternal life, to which you are called, to which you made the good confession before many witnesses.
2 Timothy 1:3
2 Timothy 1:7-8
2 Timothy 1:8-8
8 Therefore, do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but share in the afflictions of the gospel, by the power of God;
2 Timothy 1:11-12
2 Timothy 2:9
9 For which I suffer hardship, even wearing chains like a criminal; but the word of God is not in chains.
10 Therefore, I endure all things for the sake of the chosen, that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus, with its eternal glory.
11 This is a faithful saying: If we died with him, we shall also live with him:
12 If we endure, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he will deny us:
2 Timothy 4:6-7
6 For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure is at hand.
2 Timothy 4:6
2 Timothy 4:7
7 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:

16 At my first defence no man stood with me, but all forsook me. May it not be counted against them.

7 For an overseer must be blameless, as the steward of God; not self-willed, not easily angered, not given to wine, not violent, not greedy for gain;
Titus 2:10
10 Not to pilfer, but showing entire and true fidelity; that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Saviour in all things.
Titus 3:4-6
4 But when the kindness and love of God our Saviour appeared,
5 He saved us, not because of works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing by the Holy Spirit;
6 Whom he poured out upon us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;
Philemon 1:4-5
Philemon 1:5
5 Because I hear of your love and faith, which you have toward the Lord Jesus, and toward all the saints;

7 For we have great joy and comfort in your love, because the hearts of the saints have been refreshed by you, brother.

12 I am sending him back to you, sending my very heart,

17 Therefore, if you count me as a partner, receive him as you would me.

14 For we have become partakers of Christ, if we hold our first confidence steadfast to the end;
Hebrews 5:12-14
12 For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you have need for someone to teach you again the first principles of the oracles of God. You have come to need milk, and not solid food.
13 For everyone who lives on milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.
14 But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, those who by practice have their senses trained to discern both good and evil.

Hebrews 10:33-33
33 Sometimes you were made a public spectacle by insults and afflictions; and sometimes, because you became companions to those who were so treated.
34 For you had compassion on the prisoners, and joyfully accepted the confiscation of your goods, knowing that you have a better possession, and an enduring one.
35 Therefore, do not cast away your confidence, which has a great reward.

16 Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren.
17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow.

2 Chosen according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, and sanctified by the Spirit for obedience to Jesus Christ and sprinkling by his blood: Grace and peace be multiplied to you.
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who by his abundant mercy has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
1 Peter 1:7-9
7 That the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold, which perishes, though it is tested by fire, might be found to result in praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ.
8 Though you have not seen him, you love him; and though you do not see him now, yet you believe in him and rejoice with inexpressible and glorious joy:
1 Peter 1:8
1 Peter 1:11
11 Seeking to find to whom and when the Spirit of Christ within them was pointing, when he testified beforehand of the sufferings of Christ, and the glories that should follow.
1 Peter 1:22
22 Since you have purified your souls by obeying the truth, so you have a sincere love of the brethren; love one another fervently from the heart.
1 Peter 2:5
5 You also, as living stones, are being built up into a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.
1 Peter 2:9
9 But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God; that you should declare the praises of him who has called you out of darkness into his marvellous light.
1 Peter 2:12
12 Conduct yourselves righteously among the Gentiles: that, though they speak against you as evildoers, they may behold your good works and glorify God on the day of visitation.
1 Peter 2:25
25 For you were like sheep going astray; but you have now returned to the Shepherd and Guardian of your souls.
1 Peter 4:2
2 That he may live the rest of his time in the flesh no longer for the lusts of men, but for the will of God.
1 Peter 4:10-11
10 As every man has received a gift, so he should use it to serve one another, as befits good stewards of the manifold grace of God.
11 If any man speak, let it be as one who speaks the oracles of God; if any man serves, let him do it as by the strength which God supplies: that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
12 Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery trial which comes upon you to test you, as though some strange thing was happened to you:
1 Peter 4:12-14
1 Peter 4:13-16
13 But rejoice, insofar as you are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, you may be triumphantly joyful.

1 Peter 4:14-16
14 Blessed are you if you are insulted for the name of Christ; for the spirit of glory and of God rests upon you.
1 Peter 4:14-14
14 Blessed are you if you are insulted for the name of Christ; for the spirit of glory and of God rests upon you.
15 But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a meddler in other men's affairs.
16 Yet if any man suffers as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God that he bears that name.
1 Peter 4:16
16 Yet if any man suffers as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God that he bears that name.
1 Peter 5:1
1 I exhort the elders who are among you, as a fellow elder, and as a witness of the sufferings of Christ and as a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed:
2 Tend the flock of God which is in your charge, not by compulsion, but willingly; not for sordid gain, but eagerly;
3 Not being lords over those in your charge, but being examples to the flock.
4 And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, you shall receive a crown of glory that does not fade away.
1 Peter 5:10
10 But the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.

6 And to knowledge self-control; and to self-control perseverance; and to perseverance godliness;
7 And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness love.
8 For if these things are in you, and are increasing, they keep you from being either ineffective or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
9 But he who lacks these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and has forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.
2 Peter 1:12-15
2 Peter 1:13-15
13 Yea, I think it right, as long as I am in this tent of my body, to stir you up way of reminder;
14 Knowing that shortly I must put off this tent, just as our Lord Jesus Christ has shown me.
15 Moreover, I will endeavour to see to it that after my departure you may be able at any time to recall these things.
2 Peter 3:10
10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief; in which the heavens shall pass away with a roar, and the elements shall be destroyed with fervent heat, the earth and the works that are upon it shall be burned up.
11 Seeing then that all these things shall be destroyed, what kind of people ought you to be? You should live holy and godly lives,
2 Peter 3:14
14 Therefore, beloved, seeing that you look for these things, be diligent that you may be found at peace with him, without spot, and blameless.
2 Peter 3:18
18 But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever. Amen.

2 John 1:4
4 I rejoiced greatly to find some of your children walking in truth, just as we have been commanded by the Father.
2 John 1:9-11
9 Whoever runs too far ahead, and does not abide in the teaching of Christ, does not have God. He who abides in the teaching of Christ has both the Father and the Son.
10 If anyone comes to you, and does not bring this teaching, do not receive him into your house, or give him any encouragement:
11 For he who encourages him is a partaker in his evil deeds.

16 They shall hunger no more, nor shall they thirst any more; nor shall the sun beat upon them, nor shall any scorching heat.
