¹ It shall be, when you have come in to the land which the LORD your God gives you for an inheritance, and possess it, and dwell in it, ² that you shall take of the first of all the fruit of the ground, which you shall bring in from your land that the LORD your God gives you; and you shall put it in a basket, and shall go to the place which the LORD your God shall choose, to cause his name to dwell there. ³ You shall come to the priest who shall be in those days, and tell him, "I profess this day to the LORD my God, that I have come into the land which the LORD swore to our fathers to give us." ⁴ The priest shall take the basket out of your hand, and set it down before the altar of the LORD your God. ⁵ You shall answer and say before the LORD your God, "A wandering Aramean was my father, and he went down into Egypt, and lived there, few in number, and there he became a nation, great, mighty, and numerous. ⁶ The Egyptians mistreated us, and afflicted us, and laid on us hard bondage: ⁷ and we cried to the LORD, the God of our fathers, and the LORD heard our voice, and saw our affliction, and our toil, and our oppression; ⁸ and the LORD brought us forth out of Egypt with a mighty hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with great terror, and with signs, and with wonders; ⁹ and he has brought us into this place, and has given us this land, a land flowing with milk and honey. ¹⁰ Now, look, I have brought the first of the fruit of the ground, which you, LORD, have given me." You shall set it down before the LORD your God, and worship before the LORD your God. ¹¹ And you shall rejoice in all the good which the LORD your God has given to you and to your house, you, and the Levite, and the foreigner who is among you. ¹² When you have made an end of tithing all the tithe of your increase in the third year, which is the year of tithing, then you shall give it to the Levite, to the foreigner, to the fatherless, and to the widow, that they may eat within your gates, and be filled. ¹³ You shall say before the LORD your God, "I have put away the holy things out of my house, and also have given them to the Levite, and to the foreigner, to the fatherless, and to the widow, according to all your commandment which you have commanded me: I have not transgressed any of your commandments, neither have I forgotten them: ¹⁴ I have not eaten of it in my mourning, neither have I put away of it, being unclean, nor given of it for the dead: I have listened to the voice of the LORD my God; I have done according to all that you have commanded me. ¹⁵ Look down from your holy habitation, from heaven, and bless your people Israel, and the ground which you have given us, as you swore to our fathers, a land flowing with milk and honey." ¹⁶ This day the LORD your God commands you to do these statutes and ordinances: you shall therefore keep and do them with all your heart, and with all your soul. ¹⁷ You have declared the LORD this day to be your God, and that you would walk in his ways, and keep his statutes, and his commandments, and his ordinances, and listen to his voice: ¹⁸ and the LORD has declared you this day to be a people for his own possession, as he has promised you, and that you should keep all his commandments; ¹⁹ and to make you high above all nations that he has made, for fame, and for praise, and for honor; and that you may be a holy people to the LORD your God, as he has spoken.

² "Speak to the children of Israel, and tell them, 'When you have come into the land of your habitations, which I give to you,

¹⁸ "Speak to the children of Israel, and tell them, 'When you come into the land where I bring you,

³¹ But as for you, stand here by me, and I will tell you all the commandment, and the statutes, and the ordinances, which you shall teach them, that they may do them in the land which I give them to possess it."

¹ Now this is the commandment, the statutes, and the ordinances, which the LORD your God commanded to teach you, that you might do them in the land where you go over to possess it; ² that you might fear the LORD your God, to keep all his statutes and his commandments, which I command you, you, and your son, and your son's son, all the days of your life; and that your days may be prolonged. ³ Hear therefore, Israel, and observe to do it; that it may be well with you, and that you may increase mightily, as the LORD, the God of your fathers, has promised to you, in a land flowing with milk and honey. ⁴ Hear, Israel: the LORD is our God, the LORD is one. ⁵ And you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might. ⁶ These words, which I command you this day, shall be on your heart; ⁷ and you shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise up. ⁸ You shall bind them for a sign on your hand, and they shall be for symbols between your eyes. ⁹ You shall write them on the door posts of your house, and on your gates. ¹⁰ It shall be, when the LORD your God shall bring you into the land which he swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give you, great and goodly cities, which you did not build,

¹ When the LORD your God shall bring you into the land where you go to possess it, and shall cast out many nations before you, the Hethite, and the Girgashite, and the Amorite, and the Canaanite, and the Perizzite, and the Hivite, and the Jebusite, seven nations greater and mightier than you;

¹ If there arise in the midst of you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and he give you a sign or a wonder,

⁹ but you shall surely kill him; your hand shall be first on him to put him to death, and afterwards the hand of all the people.

¹⁴ When you have come to the land which the LORD your God gives you, and shall possess it, and shall dwell in it, and shall say, "I will set a king over me, like all the nations that are around me";

⁹ When you have come into the land which the LORD your God gives you, you shall not learn to do after the abominations of those nations.

²⁹ "You shall not delay to offer from your harvest and from the outflow of your presses. "You shall give the firstborn of your sons to me.

¹⁶ And the feast of harvest, the first fruits of your labors, which you sow in the field: and the feast of harvest, at the end of the year, when you gather in your labors out of the field.

¹⁹ The first of the first fruits of your ground you shall bring into the house of the LORD your God. "You shall not boil a kid in its mother's milk.

²⁶ You shall bring the first of the first fruits of your ground to the house of the LORD your God. You shall not boil a young goat in its mother's milk."

¹² As an offering of firstfruits you shall offer them to the LORD: but they shall not ascend for a pleasant aroma on the altar.

¹⁴ "'If you offer a meal offering of first fruits to the LORD, you shall offer for the meal offering of your first fruits grain in the ear parched with fire, bruised grain of the fresh ear.

¹² "All the best of the oil, and all the best of the vintage, and of the grain, the first fruits of them which they give to the LORD, to you have I given them. ¹³ The first-ripe fruits of all that is in their land, which they bring to the LORD, shall be yours; everyone who is clean in your house shall eat of it.

⁵ But to the place which the LORD your God shall choose out of all your tribes, to put his name there, even to his habitation you shall seek, and there you shall come; ⁶ and there you shall bring your burnt offerings, and your sacrifices, and your tithes, and the wave offering of your hand, and your vows, and your freewill offerings, and the firstborn of your herd and of your flock:

¹⁰ You shall keep the feast of weeks to the LORD your God with a tribute of a freewill offering of your hand, which you shall give, according as the LORD your God blesses you:

⁴ The first fruits of your grain, of your new wine, and of your oil, and the first of the fleece of your sheep, you shall give him.

¹ The whole congregation of the children of Israel assembled themselves together at Shiloh, and set up the Tent of Meeting there. The land was subdued before them.

⁴² A man from Baal Shalishah came, and brought the man of God bread of the first fruits, twenty loaves of barley, and fresh ears of grain in his sack. He said, "Give to the people, that they may eat."

⁶ but I chose Jerusalem, that my name may be there; and I chose David to be over my people Israel.'

⁵ As soon as the commandment came abroad, the children of Israel gave in abundance the first fruits of grain, new wine, and oil, and honey, and of all the increase of the field; and the tithe of all things brought they in abundantly.

³⁵ and to bring the first fruits of our ground, and the first fruits of all fruit of all kinds of trees, year by year, to the house of the LORD; ³⁶ also the firstborn of our sons, and of our livestock, as it is written in the law, and the firstborn of our herds and of our flocks, to bring to the house of our God, to the priests who minister in the house of our God; ³⁷ and that we should bring the first fruits of our coarse meal, our contributions, the fruit of every tree, the new wine and the oil to the priests to the storerooms of the house of our God; and the tithes of our land to the Levites, for the Levites take the tithes in all the cities where we work.

⁴⁴ On that day men were appointed over the storerooms, for the contributions, the first fruits, and the tithes, to gather into them from the fields of the cities the portions appointed by the law for the priests and Levites, for Judah rejoiced over the priests and the Levites who ministered.

³¹ and for the wood offering, at times appointed, and for the first fruits. Remember me, my God, for good.

⁹ Honor the LORD with your substance, with the first fruits of all your increase: ¹⁰ so your storehouses will be filled with plenty, and your vats will overflow with new wine.

³ Israel was holiness to the LORD, the first fruits of his increase. All who devour him shall be held guilty. Evil shall come on them,"' says the LORD."

⁴⁰ For in my holy mountain, in the mountain of the height of Israel," says the Lord GOD, "there shall all the house of Israel, all of them, serve me in the land: there will I accept them, and there will I require your offerings, and the first fruits of your offerings, with all your holy things.

³⁰ The first of all the first fruits of every thing, and every offering of everything, of all your offerings, shall be for the priest: you shall also give to the priests the first of your dough, to cause a blessing to rest on your house.

¹⁴ They shall sell none of it, nor exchange it, nor shall the first fruits of the land be alienated; for it is holy to the LORD.

²³ And not only this, but ourselves also, who have the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for adoption, the redemption of our body.

¹⁶ If the first fruit is holy, so is the lump. If the root is holy, so are the branches.

⁵ Greet the church that is in their house. Greet Epaenetus, my beloved, who is the first fruits of Asia to Christ.

²⁰ But now Christ has been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who are asleep.

²³ But each in his own order: Christ the first fruits, then those who are Christ's, at his coming.

² On the first day of the week, let each one of you save, as he may prosper, that no collections be made when I come.

¹⁸ Of his own will he brought us forth by the word of truth, that we should be a kind of first fruits of his creatures.

⁴ These are those who were not defiled with women, for they are virgins. These are those who follow the Lamb wherever he goes. These were redeemed from among humanity, the first fruits to God and to the Lamb.

⁸ I will give to you, and to your descendants after you, the land of your sojournings, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession, and I will be their God."

³ Sojourn in this land, and I will be with you, and will bless you. For to you, and to your descendants, I will give all these lands, and I will establish the oath which I swore to Abraham your father.

¹⁷ then both the men, between whom the controversy is, shall stand before the LORD, before the priests and the judges who shall be in those days;

⁹ the covenant which he made with Abraham, his oath to Isaac, ¹⁰ and confirmed the same to Jacob for a statute; to Israel for an everlasting covenant,

⁷² to show mercy towards our fathers, to remember his holy covenant, ⁷³ the oath which he spoke to Abraham, our father,

¹⁶ For people swear oaths by something greater, and in every dispute of theirs the oath is final for confirmation. ¹⁷ In this way God, being determined to show more abundantly to the heirs of the promise the immutability of his counsel, interposed with an oath; ¹⁸ that by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we may have a strong encouragement, who have fled for refuge to take hold of the hope set before us.

²⁶ For such a high priest was indeed fitting for us: holy, guiltless, undefiled, separated from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;

²¹ and having a great priest over the house of God,

¹⁵ Through him, then, let us offer up a sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of lips that confess his name.

⁵ You also, as living stones, are built up as a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

²³ "If therefore you are offering your gift at the altar, and there remember that your brother has anything against you, ²⁴ leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.

¹⁹ You blind people. For which is greater, the gift, or the altar that sanctifies the gift?

¹⁰ We have an altar from which those who serve the holy tabernacle have no right to eat. ¹¹ For the bodies of those animals, whose blood is brought into the holy place by the high priest as an offering for sin, are burned outside of the camp. ¹² Therefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people through his own blood, suffered outside of the gate.

⁴ But you shall go to my country, and to my relatives, and take a wife for my son Isaac."

²⁰ Isaac was forty years old when he took Rebekah, the daughter of Bethuel the Aramean of Paddan Aram, the sister of Laban the Aramean, to be his wife.

⁴¹ Esau hated Jacob because of the blessing with which his father blessed him. Esau said in his heart, "The days of mourning for my father are at hand. Then I will kill my brother Jacob."

⁵ Isaac sent Jacob away. He went to Paddan Aram to Laban, son of Bethuel the Aramean, Rebekah's brother, Jacob's and Esau's mother.

²⁰ Jacob outwitted Laban the Aramean by not telling him that he intended to flee.

²⁴ God came to Laban the Aramean in a dream at night, and said to him, "Be careful that you do not speak to Jacob either good or bad."

⁴⁰ I was consumed by the heat during the day and by the frost at night, and sleepless nights.

¹ Now the famine was severe in the land. ² So it came about when they had eaten up the grain which they had brought out of Egypt, that their father said to them, "Go again, buy us a little more food."

¹² Take twice as much silver in your hand, and take back the silver that was returned in the mouth of your sacks. Perhaps it was an oversight.

⁷ God sent me ahead of you to preserve for you a remnant on the earth, and to save your lives by a great deliverance.

¹¹ There I will provide for you, for there are still five years of famine to come, otherwise you and your household and all that you have would become destitute.

¹ So Israel set out with all that he had and came to Beersheba, and offered sacrifices to the God of his father Isaac. ² And God spoke to Israel in a vision at night, and said, "Jacob, Jacob." And he said, "Here I am." ³ He said, "I am God, the God of your father. Do not be afraid to go down to Egypt, for there I will make you into a great nation. ⁴ I will go down with you into Egypt, and I myself will surely bring you up again, and Joseph will close your eyes." ⁵ Then Jacob rose up from Beersheba, and the sons of Israel carried their father Jacob, and their little ones, and their wives on the wagons which Pharaoh had sent to carry him. ⁶ So they took their livestock and their possessions which they had aquired in the land of Canaan, and arrived in Egypt, Jacob and all his descendants with him, ⁷ his sons, and his sonsʼ sons with him, his daughters, and his sonsʼ daughters, and he brought all his descendants with him to Egypt.

²⁷ And the sons of Joseph who were born to him in Egypt were two persons. All the persons of the house of Jacob who came into Egypt were seventy.

²⁷ So Israel lived in the land of Egypt, in the land of Goshen. And they aquired property in it and were fertile and became numerous.

⁵ All the souls who came out of Jacob's body were seventy-five, and Joseph was in Egypt already.

⁷ The children of Israel were fruitful, and increased abundantly, and multiplied, and grew exceedingly mighty; and the land was filled with them.

¹² But the more they afflicted them, the more they multiplied and the more they spread out. And the Egyptians were in dread of the children of Israel.

⁷ The LORD did not set his love on you, nor choose you, because you were more in number than any people; for you were the fewest of all peoples:

²² Your fathers went down into Egypt with seventy persons; and now the LORD your God has made you as the stars of the sky for multitude.

²³ Israel also came into Egypt. Jacob sojourned in the land of Ham. ²⁴ He increased his people greatly, and made them stronger than their adversaries.

¹ "Listen to me, you who follow after righteousness, you who seek the LORD: look to the rock you were cut from, and to the hold of the pit you were dug from. ² Look to Abraham your father, and to Sarah who bore you; for when he was but one I called him, and I blessed him, and made him many.

¹² Jacob fled into the country of Aram, and Israel served to get a wife, and for a wife he tended flocks and herds.

¹⁵ Jacob went down into Egypt, and he died, himself and our fathers,

¹¹ Therefore they set taskmasters over them to afflict them with their burdens. They built storage cities for Pharaoh: Pithom and Raamses.

¹⁴ and they made their lives bitter with hard labor, in mortar and in brick, and in all manner of labor in the field, all their labors which they ruthlessly made them do.

¹⁶ and he said, "When you perform the duty of a midwife to the Hebrew women, and see them on the birth stool; if it is a son, then you shall kill him; but if it is a daughter, then she shall live."

²² Pharaoh commanded all his people, saying, "You are to cast every son who is born to the Hebrews into the river, but every daughter you are to keep alive."

⁹ Let heavier work be laid on the men, so they may labor at it and pay no attention to lying words."

¹⁹ The officers of the children of Israel saw that they were in trouble, when it was said, "You shall not diminish anything from your daily quota of bricks."

²³ For since I came to Pharaoh to speak in your name, he has brought trouble on this people; neither have you delivered your people at all."

²⁰ But God has taken you, and brought you forth out of the iron furnace, out of Egypt, to be to him a people of inheritance, as at this day.

²³ It happened in the course of those many days, that the king of Egypt died, and the children of Israel sighed because of the bondage, and they cried, and their cry came up to God because of the bondage.

⁹ Now, look, the cry of the children of Israel has come to me. Moreover I have seen the oppression with which the Egyptians oppress them.

³¹ The people believed, and when they heard that God had visited the children of Israel, and that he had seen their affliction, then they bowed their heads and worshiped.

⁵ Moreover I have heard the groaning of the children of Israel, whom the Egyptians keep in bondage, and I have remembered my covenant.

¹⁶ "Tomorrow about this time I will send you a man out of the land of Benjamin, and you shall anoint him to be prince over my people Israel; and he shall save my people out of the hand of the Philistines; for I have seen the suffering of my people, because their cry has come to me."

¹² It may be that the LORD will look on my affliction and return good to me for his cursing today."

¹⁵ Call on me in the day of trouble. I will deliver you, and you will honor me."

¹⁹ For he has looked down from the height of his sanctuary. From heaven, the LORD looked at the earth; ²⁰ to hear the groans of the prisoner; to free those who are condemned to death;

¹ [By David.] Praise the LORD, my soul, and all that is within me, praise his holy name. ² Praise the LORD, my soul, and do not forget all his benefits;

¹ I love the LORD, because he listens to my voice, and my cries for mercy. ² Because he has turned his ear to me, therefore I will call on him as long as I live. ³ The cords of death surrounded me, the pains of Sheol got a hold of me. I found trouble and sorrow. ⁴ Then I called on the name of the LORD: "LORD, I beg you, deliver my soul."

¹³² Turn to me, and have mercy on me, as you always do to those who love your name.

² "Thus says the LORD who made the earth, and who formed it to establish it; the LORD is his name:

²⁰ Now to him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, ²¹ to him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen.

³⁷ The children of Israel traveled from Rameses to Succoth, about six hundred thousand on foot who were men, besides children.

⁴¹ It happened at the end of four hundred thirty years, even the same day it happened, that all the regiments of the LORD went out from the land of Egypt.

⁵¹ It happened the same day, that the LORD brought the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt by their regiments.

³ Moses said to the people, "Remember this day, in which you came out from Egypt, out of the house of bondage; for by strength of hand the LORD brought you out from this place. No leavened bread shall be eaten.

¹⁶ Lift up your rod, and stretch out your hand over the sea, and divide it: and the children of Israel shall go into the midst of the sea on dry ground. ¹⁷ And as for me, look, I will harden the hearts of the Egyptians, and they shall go in after them: and I will get myself honor over Pharaoh, and over all his armies, over his chariots, and over his horsemen. ¹⁸ The Egyptians shall know that I am the LORD, when I have gotten myself honor over Pharaoh, over his chariots, and over his horsemen." ¹⁹ The angel of God, who went before the camp of Israel, moved and went behind them; and the pillar of cloud moved from before them, and stood behind them. ²⁰ It came between the camp of Egypt and the camp of Israel; and there was the cloud and the darkness, yet it gave light by night. So the one did not come near the other all night. ²¹ Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and the LORD caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all the night, and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided. ²² The children of Israel went into the midst of the sea on the dry ground, and the waters were a wall to them on their right hand, and on their left. ²³ The Egyptians pursued, and went in after them into the midst of the sea: all of Pharaoh's horses, his chariots, and his horsemen. ²⁴ It happened in the morning watch, that the LORD looked out on the Egyptian army through the pillar of fire and of cloud, and confused the Egyptian army. ²⁵ He bound their chariot wheels, so that they drove them with difficulty. And the Egyptians said, "Let's flee from the face of Israel, for the LORD fights for them against the Egyptians." ²⁶ The LORD said to Moses, "Stretch out your hand over the sea, that the waters may come again on the Egyptians, on their chariots, and on their horsemen." ²⁷ Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and the sea returned to its strength when the morning appeared; and the Egyptians fled against it. The LORD overthrew the Egyptians in the midst of the sea. ²⁸ The waters returned, and covered the chariots and the horsemen, even all Pharaoh's army that went in after them into the sea. There remained not so much as one of them. ²⁹ But the children of Israel walked on dry land in the midst of the sea, and the waters were a wall to them on their right hand, and on their left. ³⁰ Thus the LORD saved Israel that day out of the hand of the Egyptians; and Israel saw the Egyptians dead on the seashore. ³¹ Israel saw the great work which the LORD did to the Egyptians, and the people feared the LORD; and they believed in God, and in his servant Moses.

³⁴ Or has God tried to go and take a nation for himself from the midst of another nation, by trials, by signs, and by wonders, and by war, and by a mighty hand, and by an outstretched arm, and by great terrors, according to all that the LORD your God did for you in Egypt before your eyes?

¹⁵ Remember that you were a slave in the land of Egypt, and the LORD your God brought you out of there by a mighty hand and by an outstretched arm: therefore the LORD your God commanded you to keep the Sabbath day.

¹² He did marvelous things in the sight of their fathers, in the land of Egypt, in the field of Zoan. ¹³ He split the sea, and caused them to pass through. He made the waters stand as a heap.

²⁷ They performed miracles among them, and wonders in the land of Ham. ²⁸ He sent darkness, and made it dark, but they rebelled against his words. ²⁹ He turned their waters into blood, and killed their fish. ³⁰ Their land swarmed with frogs, even in the chambers of their kings. ³¹ He spoke, and swarms of flies came, and gnats in all their territory. ³² He gave them hail for rain, flaming fire in their land. ³³ He struck their vines and also their fig trees, and shattered the trees of their country. ³⁴ He spoke, and the locusts came, and the grasshoppers, without number, ³⁵ ate up every plant in their land; and ate up the fruit of their ground. ³⁶ He struck also all the firstborn in their land, the first fruits of all their manhood. ³⁷ And he brought them out with silver and gold, and there was no one among their tribes who stumbled. ³⁸ Egypt was glad when they departed, for the fear of them had fallen on them.

⁷ Our fathers did not understand your wonders in Egypt. They did not remember the multitude of your loving kindnesses, but were rebellious at the sea, even at the Sea at the End. ⁸ Nevertheless he saved them for his name's sake, that he might make his mighty power known. ⁹ He rebuked the Sea at the End also, and it was dried up; so he led them through the depths, as through a desert. ¹⁰ He saved them from the hand of him who hated them, and redeemed them from the hand of the enemy.

¹² who caused his glorious arm to go at the right hand of Moses? who divided the waters before them, to make himself an everlasting name?

⁸ I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land to a good and large land, to a land flowing with milk and honey; to the place of the Canaanites, and the Hethites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Girgashites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites.

¹⁴ Look, today I am going the way of all the earth. You know in all your hearts and in all your souls that not one thing has failed of all the good things which the LORD your God spoke concerning you. All have happened to you. Not one thing has failed of it.

¹² Then Samuel took a stone, and set it between Mizpah and Jashan, and called its name Ebenezer, saying, "The LORD helped us until now."

⁴⁴ He gave them the lands of the nations. They took the labor of the peoples in possession,

⁷ he led them also by a straight way, that they might go to a city to live in. ⁸ Let them praise the LORD for his loving kindness, for his wonderful works for the descendants of Adam.

⁶ in that day I swore to them, to bring them forth out of the land of Egypt into a land that I had searched out for them, flowing with milk and honey, which is the glory of all lands.

¹⁵ "'"Moreover also I swore to them in the wilderness, that I would not bring them into the land which I had given to them, flowing with milk and honey, which is the most beautiful of all lands;

²² Having therefore obtained the help that is from God, I stand to this day testifying both to small and great, saying nothing but what the Prophets and Moses said would happen,

¹¹ "This is yours, too: the wave offering of their gift, even all the wave offerings of the children of Israel. I have given them to you, and to your sons and to your daughters with you, as a portion forever. Everyone who is clean in your house shall eat of it.

¹⁰ It shall be, when the LORD your God shall bring you into the land which he swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give you, great and goodly cities, which you did not build, ¹¹ and houses full of all good things, which you did not fill, and cisterns dug out, which you did not dig, vineyards and olive trees, which you did not plant, and you shall eat and be full; ¹² then beware lest you forget the LORD, who brought you forth out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. ¹³ You shall fear the LORD your God; and you shall serve him only, and you shall cling to him, and take oaths by his name.

² that you shall take of the first of all the fruit of the ground, which you shall bring in from your land that the LORD your God gives you; and you shall put it in a basket, and shall go to the place which the LORD your God shall choose, to cause his name to dwell there.

⁴ The priest shall take the basket out of your hand, and set it down before the altar of the LORD your God.

¹⁷ You have declared the LORD this day to be your God, and that you would walk in his ways, and keep his statutes, and his commandments, and his ordinances, and listen to his voice:

¹⁴ But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able to offer so willingly as this? For all things come from you, and of your own have we given you.

²⁷ Every part of the earth shall remember and turn to the LORD, and all the families of the nations shall worship before you.

²⁹ All the prosperous of the earth shall eat and worship. All those who go down to the dust shall bow before him; and my soul shall live for him.

⁹ All nations you have made will come and worship before you, Lord. They shall glorify your name.

⁶ Oh come, let's worship and bow down. Let's kneel before the LORD, our Maker,

⁹ Honor the LORD with your substance, with the first fruits of all your increase:

²³ It shall happen, that from one new moon to another, and from one Sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me," says the LORD.

¹ Therefore you are without excuse, everyone of you who passes judgment. For in that which you judge another, you condemn yourself. For you who judge practice the same things.

³¹ Whether therefore you eat, or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.

¹⁰ As each has received a gift, employ it in serving one another, as good managers of the grace of God in its various forms. ¹¹ If anyone speaks, let it be as it were the very words of God. If anyone serves, let it be as of the strength which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.

⁹ He said to me, "See you do not do it. I am a fellow servant with you and with your brothers, the prophets, and with those who keep the words of this book. Worship God."

⁷ and there you shall eat before the LORD your God, and you shall rejoice in all that you put your hand to, you and your households, in which the LORD your God has blessed you.

¹² You shall rejoice before the LORD your God, you, and your sons, and your daughters, and your male servants, and your female servants, and the Levite who is within your gates, because he has no portion nor inheritance with you.

¹⁸ but you shall eat them before the LORD your God in the place which the LORD your God shall choose, you, and your son, and your daughter, and your male servant, and your female servant, and the Levite who is within your gates: and you shall rejoice before the LORD your God in all that you put your hand to.

¹¹ and you shall rejoice before the LORD your God, you, and your son, and your daughter, and your male servant, and your female servant, and the Levite who is within your gates, and the foreigner, and the fatherless, and the widow, who are in the midst of you, in the place which the LORD your God shall choose, to cause his name to dwell there.

⁴⁷ Because you did not serve the LORD your God with joyfulness, and with gladness of heart, by reason of the abundance of all things;

³ Because your loving kindness is better than life, my lips shall praise you. ⁴ So I will bless you while I live. I will lift up my hands in your name. ⁵ My soul shall be satisfied as with the richest food. My mouth shall praise you with joyful lips,

¹ [A Psalm of thanksgiving.] Shout for joy to the LORD, all you lands. ² Serve the LORD with gladness. Come before his presence with singing.

¹⁴ look, my servants shall sing in gladness of heart, but you shall cry for sorrow of heart, and shall wail for anguish of spirit.

¹⁷ For how great is his goodness, and how great is his beauty. Grain will make the young men flourish, and new wine the virgins.

⁴⁶ Day by day, continuing steadfastly with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread at home, they took their food with gladness and singleness of heart, ⁴⁷ praising God, and having favor with all the people. The Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved.

¹¹ If we sowed to you spiritual things, is it a great thing if we reap your fleshly things?

⁴ Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, Rejoice.

¹⁷ Charge those who are rich in this present world that they not be haughty, nor have their hope set on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy; ¹⁸ that they do good, that they be rich in good works, that they be ready to distribute, willing to communicate;

³⁰ "'All the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land or of the fruit of the trees, is the LORD's. It is holy to the LORD.

²⁴ For the tithe of the children of Israel, which they offer as a wave offering to the LORD, I have given to the Levites for an inheritance: therefore I have said to them, 'Among the children of Israel they shall have no inheritance.'"

¹⁷ You may not eat within your gates the tithe of your grain, or of your new wine, or of your oil, or the firstborn of your herd or of your flock, nor any of your vows which you vow, nor your freewill offerings, nor the wave offering of your hand; ¹⁸ but you shall eat them before the LORD your God in the place which the LORD your God shall choose, you, and your son, and your daughter, and your male servant, and your female servant, and the Levite who is within your gates: and you shall rejoice before the LORD your God in all that you put your hand to. ¹⁹ Be careful that you do not forsake the Levite as long as you live in your land.

²² You shall surely tithe all the increase of your seed, that which comes forth from the field year by year. ²³ You shall eat before the LORD your God, in the place which he shall choose, to cause his name to dwell there, the tithe of your grain, of your new wine, and of your oil, and the firstborn of your herd and of your flock; that you may learn to fear the LORD your God always. ²⁴ If the way is too long for you, so that you are not able to carry it, because the place is too far from you, which the LORD your God shall choose, to set his name there, when the LORD your God shall bless you; ²⁵ then you shall turn it into money, and bind up the money in your hand, and shall go to the place which the LORD your God shall choose: ²⁶ and you shall bestow the money for whatever your soul desires, for cattle, or for sheep, or for wine, or for strong drink, or for whatever your soul asks of you; and you shall eat there before the LORD your God, and you shall rejoice, you and your household. ²⁷ The Levite who is within your gates, you shall not forsake him; for he has no portion nor inheritance with you. ²⁸ At the end of every three years you shall bring forth all the tithe of your increase in the same year, and shall lay it up within your gates: ²⁹ and the Levite, because he has no portion nor inheritance with you, and the foreigner living among you, and the fatherless, and the widow, who are within your gates, shall come, and shall eat and be satisfied; that the LORD your God may bless you in all the work of your hand which you do.

¹⁴ and you shall rejoice in your feast, you, and your son, and your daughter, and your male servant, and your female servant, and the Levite, and the foreigner, and the fatherless, and the widow, who are within your gates.

²¹ He who despises his neighbor sins, but blessed is he who shows kindness to the poor.

¹⁸ But I have received everything in full, and I have an abundance. I am fully supplied, having received from Epaphroditus the things that came from you, a sweet-smelling fragrance, an acceptable and well-pleasing sacrifice to God. ¹⁹ And my God will supply all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus.

⁵ They indeed of the sons of Levi who receive the priest's office have a commandment to take tithes of the people according to the Law, that is, of their brothers, though these have come out of the body of Abraham,

⁹ We can say that through Abraham even Levi, who receives tithes, has paid tithes,

²⁹ and the Levite, because he has no portion nor inheritance with you, and the foreigner living among you, and the fatherless, and the widow, who are within your gates, shall come, and shall eat and be satisfied; that the LORD your God may bless you in all the work of your hand which you do.

¹⁹ When you reap your harvest in your field, and have forgot a sheaf in the field, you shall not go again to get it: it shall be for the foreigner, for the fatherless, and for the widow; that the LORD your God may bless you in all the work of your hands. ²⁰ When you beat your olive tree, you shall not go over the boughs again: it shall be for the foreigner, for the fatherless, and for the widow. ²¹ When you harvest your vineyard, you shall not glean it after yourselves: it shall be for the foreigner, for the fatherless, and for the widow.

¹² When you have made an end of tithing all the tithe of your increase in the third year, which is the year of tithing, then you shall give it to the Levite, to the foreigner, to the fatherless, and to the widow, that they may eat within your gates, and be filled.

¹⁶ "If I have withheld the poor from their desire, or have caused the eyes of the widow to fail, ¹⁷ or have eaten my morsel alone, and the fatherless has not eaten of it ¹⁸ (no, from my youth he grew up with me as with a father, her have I guided from my mother's womb); ¹⁹ if I have seen any perish for want of clothing, or that the needy had no covering; ²⁰ if his heart hasn't blessed me, if he hasn't been warmed with my sheep's fleece;

²¹ For I have kept the ways of the LORD, and have not wickedly departed from my God. ²² For all his ordinances were before me. I did not put away his statutes from me. ²³ I was also blameless with him. I kept myself from my iniquity. ²⁴ Therefore the LORD has rewarded me according to my righteousness, according to the cleanness of my hands in his eyesight.

¹ [By David.] Judge me, LORD, for I have walked in my integrity. I have trusted also in LORD without wavering. ² Examine me, LORD, and prove me. Try my heart and my mind. ³ For your loving kindness is before my eyes. I have walked in your truth.

⁶ I will wash my hands in innocence, so I will go about your altar, LORD;

⁹³ I will never forget your precepts, for with them, you have revived me.

¹³⁹ My zeal wears me out, because my enemies ignore your words.

¹⁴¹ I am small and despised. I do not forget your precepts.

¹⁵³ RESH. Consider my affliction, and deliver me, for I do not forget your Law.

¹⁷⁶ I have gone astray like a lost sheep. Seek your servant, for I do not forget your commandments.

¹ My son, do not forget my teaching; but let your heart keep my commandments:

¹⁶ This being so, I also do my best to always have a clear conscience toward God and people.

¹² For our boasting is this: the testimony of our conscience, that with pure motives and sincerity of God, not in fleshly wisdom but in the grace of God we conducted ourselves in the world, and more abundantly toward you.

³¹ The God and Father of the Lord Jesus, he who is blessed forevermore, knows that I do not lie.

¹⁰ You are witnesses with God, how holy, righteously, and blamelessly we behaved ourselves toward you who believe.

¹⁷ But whoever has the world's goods, and sees his brother in need, and closes his heart of compassion against him, how does the love of God remain in him? ¹⁸ Little children, let us not love in word only, neither with the tongue only, but in deed and truth. ¹⁹ And by this we will know that we are of the truth, and persuade our heart before him, ²⁰ because if our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and knows all things. ²¹ Beloved, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God; ²² and whatever we ask, we receive from him, because we keep his commandments and do the things that are pleasing in his sight.

²⁰ but the soul who eats of the flesh of the sacrifice of peace offerings, that belongs to the LORD, having his uncleanness on him, that soul shall be cut off from his people.

¹ The LORD said to Moses, "Speak to the priests, the sons of Aaron, and say to them, 'A priest shall not defile himself for the dead among his people;

¹¹ neither shall he go in to any dead body, nor defile himself for his father, or for his mother;

²⁸ They joined themselves also to Baal Peor, and ate the sacrifices of the dead.

¹⁷ Sigh, but not aloud, make no mourning for the dead; bind your headdress on you, and put your shoes on your feet, and do not cover your lips, and do not eat men's bread."

⁴ They won't pour out wine offerings to the LORD, neither will they be pleasing to him. Their sacrifices will be to them like the bread of mourners; all who eat of it will be polluted; for their bread will be for their appetite. It will not come into the house of the LORD.

¹³ This again you do: you cover the altar of the LORD with tears, with weeping, and with sighing, because he doesn't regard the offering any more, neither receives it with good will at your hand.

⁷ and we cried to the LORD, the God of our fathers, and the LORD heard our voice, and saw our affliction, and our toil, and our oppression;

²⁷ But will God in very deed dwell on the earth? Look, heaven and the heaven of heavens can't contain you; how much less this house that I have built.

⁴³ then hear in heaven, your dwelling place, and do according to all that the foreigner calls to you for; that all the peoples of the earth may know your name, and fear you, as do your people Israel, and that they may know that this house which I have built is called by your name.

⁹ Save your people, and bless your inheritance. Be their shepherd also, and bear them up forever.

¹⁸ Do well in your good pleasure to Zion. Build the walls of Jerusalem.

¹⁷ Let the favor of the Lord our God be on us; establish the work of our hands for us; yes, establish the work of our hands.

¹² The LORD remembers us. He will bless us. He will bless the house of Israel. He will bless the house of Aaron. ¹³ He will bless those who fear the LORD, both small and great. ¹⁴ May the LORD increase you more and more, you and your children. ¹⁵ Blessed are you by the LORD, who made heaven and earth.

⁵ If I forget you, Jerusalem, let my right hand be forgotten. ⁶ Let my tongue stick to the roof of my mouth if I do not remember you; if I do not prefer Jerusalem above my chief joy.

¹⁵ For thus says the high and lofty One who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: "I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also who is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite.

¹ The Spirit of the LORD is upon me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and an opening of the eyes to the blind;

¹⁵ Look down from heaven, and see from the habitation of your holiness and of your glory: where are your zeal and your mighty acts? the yearning of your heart and your compassion is restrained toward me.

¹ Thus says the LORD, "Heaven is my throne, and earth is the footstool of my feet. Where then is the house you could build for me? And where then is the place of my rest? ² For all these things has my hand made, and so all these things came to be," says the LORD: "but to this man will I look, to him who is humble and of a contrite spirit, and who trembles at my word.

²³ Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, "Yet again shall they use this speech in the land of Judah and in its cities, when I shall bring again their captivity: 'The LORD bless you, habitation of righteousness, mountain of holiness.'

¹³ Be silent, all flesh, before the LORD; for he has roused himself from his holy habitation."

⁹ Therefore, you should pray this way: 'Our Father in heaven, holy be your name.

⁴⁹ 'Heaven is my throne, and the earth a footstool for my feet. What kind of house will you build me?' says the Lord; 'or what is the place of my rest?

¹³ For when God made a promise to Abraham, since he could swear by none greater, he swore by himself, ¹⁴ saying, "I will indeed bless you, and I will greatly multiply you." ¹⁵ Thus, having patiently endured, he obtained the promise.

¹ Now, Israel, listen to the statutes and to the ordinances, which I teach you, to do them; that you may live, and go in and possess the land which the LORD, the God of your fathers, gives you. ² You shall not add to the word which I command you, neither shall you diminish from it, that you may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you. ³ Your eyes have seen what the LORD did because of Baal Peor; for all the men who followed Baal Peor, the LORD your God has destroyed them from the midst of you. ⁴ But you who were faithful to the LORD your God are all alive this day. ⁵ Look, I have taught you statutes and ordinances, even as the LORD my God commanded me, that you should do so in the midst of the land where you go in to possess it. ⁶ Keep therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the peoples, who shall hear all these statutes, and say, "Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people."

²⁹ But from there you shall seek the LORD your God, and you shall find him, when you search after him with all your heart and with all your soul.

¹ Now this is the commandment, the statutes, and the ordinances, which the LORD your God commanded to teach you, that you might do them in the land where you go over to possess it;

⁵ And you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might.

¹⁷ You shall diligently keep the commandments of the LORD your God, and his testimonies, and his statutes, which he has commanded you.

² You shall remember all the way which the LORD your God has led you these forty years in the wilderness, that he might humble you, to prove you, and to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep his commandments, or not.

¹ Therefore you shall love the LORD your God, and keep his instructions, and his statutes, and his ordinances, and his commandments, always.

⁸ Therefore you shall keep every commandment which I command you this day, that you may be strong, and multiply, and go in and possess the land, where you go over to possess it;

¹ These are the statutes and the ordinances which you shall observe to do in the land which the LORD, the God of your fathers, has given you to possess it, all the days that you live on the earth.

³² Whatever thing I command you, that you shall observe to do: you shall not add thereto, nor diminish from it.

³ you shall not listen to the words of that prophet, or to that dreamer of dreams: for the LORD your God proves you, to know whether you love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul. ⁴ You shall walk after the LORD your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and you shall serve him, and cling to him.

²⁰ teaching them to obey all things that I commanded you. And look, I am with you every day, even to the end of the age."

¹⁵ If you love me, you will keep my commandments.

²¹ The one who has my commandments and keeps them is the one who loves me. And the one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him, and will reveal myself to him." ²² Judas (not Iscariot) said to him, "Lord, what has happened that you are about to reveal yourself to us, and not to the world?" ²³ Jesus answered and said to him, "If anyone loves me, he will keep my word; and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our dwelling place with him. ²⁴ He who does not love me does not keep my words. The word which you hear is not mine, but the Father's who sent me.

² By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and do his commandments. ³ For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments. His commandments are not grievous.

² The LORD is my strength and song. He has become my salvation. This is my God, and I will praise him; my father's God, and I will exalt him.

¹⁹ They said to Moses, "Speak with us yourself, and we will listen; but do not let God speak with us, lest we die."

⁷ He took the book of the covenant and read it in the hearing of the people, and they said, "All that the LORD has spoken will we do, and be obedient."

² The LORD our God made a covenant with us in Horeb. ³ The LORD did not make this covenant with our fathers, but with us, even us, who are all of us here alive this day.

¹² Now, Israel, what does the LORD your God require of you, but to fear the LORD your God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul, ¹³ to keep the commandments of the LORD, and his statutes, which I command you this day for your good?

⁴ You shall walk after the LORD your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and you shall serve him, and cling to him. ⁵ That prophet, or that dreamer of dreams, shall be put to death, because he has spoken rebellion against the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed you out of the house of bondage, to draw you aside out of the way which the LORD your God commanded you to walk in. So you shall put away the evil from the midst of you.

¹⁸ when you shall listen to the voice of the LORD your God, to keep all his commandments which I command you this day, to do that which is right in the eyes of the LORD your God.

⁵ if only you diligently listen to the voice of the LORD your God, to observe to do all this commandment which I command you this day.

¹⁶ If you obey the commandments of the LORD your God that I command you this day to love the LORD your God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his ordinances, then you will live and multiply, and the LORD your God will bless you in the land where you are going to possess it.

⁵ Only take diligent heed to do the commandment and the law which Moses the servant of the LORD commanded you, to love the LORD your God, to walk in all his ways, to keep his commandments, to hold fast to him, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul."

³ and keep the instruction of the LORD your God, to walk in his ways, to keep his statutes, his commandments, his ordinances, and his testimonies, according to that which is written in the law of Moses, that you may prosper in all that you do, and wherever you turn yourself. ⁴ That the LORD may establish his word which he spoke concerning me, saying, 'If your children take heed to their way, to walk before me in truth with all their heart and with all their soul, there shall not fail you,' he said, 'a man on the throne of Israel.'

³¹ The king stood in his place, and made a covenant before the LORD, to walk after the LORD, and to keep his commandments, and his testimonies, and his statutes, with all his heart, and with all his soul, to perform the words of the covenant that were written in this scroll.

¹⁹ He shows his word to Jacob; his statutes and his ordinances to Israel. ²⁰ He has not done this for just any nation. They do not know his ordinances. Praise the LORD.

² Look, in the God of my salvation I will trust, and will not be afraid. For the LORD is my strength and my song, and he has become my salvation."

⁵ One will say, 'I am the LORD's;' and another will be called by the name of Jacob; and another will write with his hand 'to the LORD,' and honor the name of Israel."

⁹ I will bring the third part into the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will test them like gold is tested. They will call on my name, and I will hear them. I will say, 'It is my people;' and they will say, 'The LORD is my God.'"

²³ For there stood by me this night an angel, belonging to the God whose I am and whom I serve,

¹³ Neither present your members to sin as instruments of unrighteousness, but present yourselves to God, as alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God.

¹⁹ Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own, ²⁰ for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body.

⁵ This was not as we had hoped, but first they gave their own selves to the Lord, and to us through the will of God.

⁷ and I will take you to me for a people, and I will be to you a God; and you shall know that I am the LORD your God, who brings you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians.

⁵ Now therefore, if you will indeed obey my voice, and keep my covenant, then you shall be my own possession from among all peoples; for all the earth is mine; ⁶ and you shall be to me a kingdom of priests, and a holy nation.' These are the words which you shall speak to the children of Israel."

⁶ For you are a holy people to the LORD your God: The LORD your God has chosen you to be a people for his own possession, above all peoples who are on the face of the earth.

² For you are a holy people to the LORD your God, and the LORD has chosen you to be a people for his own possession, above all peoples who are on the face of the earth.

⁹ The LORD will establish you for a holy people to himself, as he has sworn to you; if you shall keep the commandments of the LORD your God, and walk in his ways.

⁶ Then I wouldn't be disappointed, when I consider all of your commandments.

³² not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they broke, and I disregarded them," says the LORD. ³³ "But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days," says the LORD: "I will put my law in their minds, and write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people: ³⁴ and they shall teach no more every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, 'Know the LORD'; for they shall all know me, from their least to their greatest,for I will forgive their iniquity, and their sins I will remember no more."

²⁵ I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you. ²⁶ And I will also give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. And I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh. ²⁷ I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and you shall keep my ordinances, and do them.

²⁶ but now is revealed, and by the Scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the eternal God, is made known for obedience of faith to all the nations;

¹⁴ who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify for himself a people for his own possession, zealous for good works.

⁶ and you shall be to me a kingdom of priests, and a holy nation.' These are the words which you shall speak to the children of Israel."

⁷ For what great nation is there, that has a god so near to them, as the LORD our God is whenever we call on him? ⁸ What great nation is there, that has statutes and ordinances so righteous as all this law, which I set before you this day?

¹ It shall happen, if you shall listen diligently to the voice of the LORD your God, to observe to do all his commandments which I command you this day, that the LORD your God will set you on high above all the nations of the earth:

¹³ The LORD will make you the head, and not the tail; and you shall be above only, and you shall not be beneath; if you shall listen to the commandments of the LORD your God, which I command you this day, to observe and to do,

¹⁴ He has lifted up the horn of his people, the praise of all his faithful ones; even of the children of Israel, a people near to him. Praise the LORD.

¹² They shall call them The holy people, The redeemed of the LORD: and you shall be called Sought out, A city not forsaken.

²⁰ They shall bring all your brothers out of all the nations for an offering to the LORD, on horses, and in chariots, and in litters, and on mules, and on dromedaries, to my holy mountain Jerusalem, says the LORD, as the children of Israel bring their offering in a clean vessel into the house of the LORD. ²¹ And I will also take some of them for myself as priests and Levites," says the LORD.

¹¹ For as the belt clings to the waist of a man, so have I caused to cling to me the whole house of Israel and the whole house of Judah,' says the LORD; 'that they might be my people, for a name, for praise, and for glory. But they would not listen.

⁹ This city shall be to me for a name of joy, for a praise and for a glory, before all the nations of the earth, which shall hear all the good that I do to them, and shall fear and tremble for all the good and for all the peace that I procure to it.'

¹² I put a ring on your nose, and earrings in your ears, and a beautiful crown on your head. ¹³ Thus you were decked with gold and silver; and your clothing was of fine linen, and silk, and embroidered work; you ate fine flour, and honey, and oil; and you were exceeding beautiful, and you prospered to royal estate. ¹⁴ Your renown went forth among the nations for your beauty; for it was perfect, through my majesty which I had put on you,' says the Lord GOD.

¹⁹ Look, at that time I will deal with all those who afflict you, and I will save those who are lame, and gather those who were driven away. I will give them praise and honor, whose shame has been in all the earth.

⁹ But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellence of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light:

⁵ and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To him who loves us, and freed us from our sins by his blood; ⁶ and he made us to be a Kingdom, priests to his God and Father; to him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.
