Daniel 7 Cross References - MLV

1 In the first year of Belshazzar king of Babylon, Daniel had a dream and visions of his head upon his bed. Then he wrote the dream and told the sum of the matters.
2 Daniel spoke and said, I saw in my vision by night, and behold, the four winds of heaven broke forth upon the great sea. 3 And four great beasts came up from the sea, different one from another.
4 The first was like a lion and had eagle's wings. I beheld till the wings of it were plucked and it was lifted up from the earth and made to stand upon two feet as a man and a man's heart was given to it. 5 And behold, another beast, a second, like a bear and it was raised up on one side and three ribs were in its mouth between its teeth. And they said thus to it: Arise, devour much flesh. 6 After this I beheld, and behold, another, like a leopard, which had upon its back four wings of a bird. The beast also had four heads and dominion was given to it.
7 After this I saw in the night visions, and behold, a fourth beast, fearful and powerful and exceedingly strong. And it had great iron teeth. It devoured and broke in pieces and stamped the residue with its feet. And it was different from all the beasts that were before it and it had ten horns. 8 I considered the horns, and behold, there came up among them another horn, a little one, before which three of the first horns were plucked up by the roots. And behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of a man and a mouth speaking great things.
9 I beheld till thrones were placed and one who was ancient of days sat. His garments was white as snow and the hair of his head like pure wool. His throne was fiery flames and the wheels of it burning fire. 10 A fiery stream was streaming and came out from before him. Thousands of thousands ministered to him and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him. The judgment was set and the books were opened.
11 I beheld at that time because of the voice of the great words which the horn spoke. I beheld even till the beast was slain and its body destroyed and it was given to be burned with fire. 12 And as for the rest of the beasts, their dominion was taken away. Yet their lives were prolonged for a season and a time.
13 I saw in the night visions, and behold, there came with the clouds of heaven someone like a son of man. And he came even to the ancient of days and they brought him near before him.
14 And there was given him dominion and glory and a kingdom, that all the peoples, nations and languages should serve him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion, which will not pass away and his kingdom is one that will not be destroyed.
15 As for me, Daniel, my spirit was grieved in the midst of my body and the visions of my head troubled me. 16 I came near to one of those who stood by and asked him the truth concerning all this. So he told me and made me know the interpretation of the things.
17 These great beasts, which are four, are four kings who will arise out of the earth. 18 But the holy ones of the Most High will receive the kingdom and possess the kingdom forever, even forever and forever.
19 Then I desired to know the truth concerning the fourth beast, which was different from all of them, exceedingly fearful, whose teeth were of iron and its nails of brass, which devoured, broke in pieces and stamped the residue with its feet, 20 and concerning the ten horns that were on its head and the other horn which came up and before which three fell, even that horn that had eyes and a mouth that spoke great things, whose look was greater than its fellows.
21 I beheld and the same horn made war with the holy ones and prevailed against them 22 until the ancient of days came. And judgment was given to the holy ones of the Most High and the time came that the holy ones possessed the kingdom.
23 Thus he said, The fourth beast will be a fourth kingdom upon earth, which will be different from all the kingdoms and will devour the whole earth and will tread it down and break it in pieces.
24 And as for the ten horns, out of this kingdom ten kings will arise. And another will arise after them and he will be different from the former. And he will put down three kings. 25 And he will speak words against the Most High and will wear out the holy ones of the Most High. And he will think to change the times and the law and they will be given into his hand until a time and times and half a time.
26 But the judgment will be set and they will take away his dominion, to consume and to destroy it to the end. 27 And the kingdom and the dominion and the greatness of the kingdoms under the whole heaven, will be given to the people of the holy ones of the Most High. His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom and all dominions will serve and obey him.
28 Here is the end of the matter. As for me, Daniel, my thoughts troubled me much and my countenance was changed in me, but I kept the matter in my heart.

10 Moreover I will take from them the voice of joy and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, the sound of the millstones and the light of the lamp. 11 And this whole land will be a desolation and an astonishment. And these nations will serve the king of Babylon seventy years.
12 And it will happen, when seventy years are accomplished, that I will punish the king of Babylon and that nation, says Jehovah, for their iniquity and the land of the Chaldeans and I will make it desolate everlasting.
13 And I will bring upon that land all my words which I have pronounced against it, even all that is written in this book, which Jeremiah has prophesied against all the nations. 14 For many nations and great kings will make bondmen of them, even of them and I will recompense them according to their deeds and according to the work of their hands.

17 Then I took the cup at Jehovah's hand and made all the nations to drink, to whom Jehovah had sent me: 18 Jerusalem and the cities of Judah and the kings of it and the rulers of it, to make them a desolation, an astonishment, a hissing and a curse, as it is this day, 19 Pharaoh King of Egypt and his servants and his rulers and all his people, 20 and all the mixed people and all the kings of the land of the Uz and all the kings of the Philistines and Ashkelon and Gaza and Ekron and the remnant of Ashdod, 21 Edom and Moab and the sons of Ammon, 22 and all the kings of Tyre and all the kings of Sidon and the kings of the isle which is beyond the sea, 23 Dedan and Tema and Buz and all who have the corners of their hair cut off, 24 and all the kings of Arabia and all the kings of the mixed people who dwell in the wilderness, 25 and all the kings of Zimri and all the kings of Elam and all the kings of the Medes, 26 and all the kings of the north, far and near, one with another and all the kingdoms of the world, which are upon the face of the earth. You will be made to eat grass as oxen and seven times will pass over you, until you know that the Most High rules in the kingdom of men and gives it to whomever he will.

Whom he wanted, he killed and whom he wanted, he kept alive and whom he wanted, he raised up and whom he wanted, he put down.
20 But when his heart was lifted up and his spirit was hardened so that he dealt proudly, he was deposed from his kingly throne. And they took his glory from him, 21 and he was driven from the sons of men. And his heart was made like the beasts and his dwelling was with the wild donkeys. He was fed with grass like oxen and his body was wet with the dew of heaven, until he knew that the Most High God rules in the kingdom of men and that he sets up over it whomever he will.
22 And you his son, O Belshazzar, have not humbled your heart, though you knew all this, 23 but have lifted up yourself against the Lord of heaven. And they have brought the vessels of his house before you, and you and your lords, your wives and your concubines, have drunk wine from them. And you have praised the gods of silver and gold, of brass, iron, wood and stone, which neither see, nor hear, nor know. And the God in whose hand your breath is and whose are all your ways, you have not glorified.

Habakkuk 2:5-10

5 Yes, moreover, wine is treacherous. He is a haughty man, who does not keep at home, who enlarges his desire as Sheol and he is as death and cannot be satisfied, but gathers to him all nations and heaps to him all peoples.
6 Shall not all these take up a parable against him and a taunting proverb against him and say, Woe to him who increases what is not his (how long?) and who loads himself with pledges! 7 Shall they not rise up suddenly that will bite you and awake that will besiege you. And you will be for booty to them?
8 Because you have plundered many nations, all the remnant of the peoples will plunder you, because of men's blood and for the violence done to the land, to the city and to all who dwell in it.
9 Woe to him who gets an evil gain for his house, that he may set his nest on high, that he may be delivered from the hand of evil! 10 You have devised shame to your house, by cutting off many peoples and have sinned against your soul.

How Babylon has become a desolation among the nations!
24 I have laid a snare for you and you are also taken, O Babylon and you were not aware. You are found and also caught, because you have striven against Jehovah. 25 Jehovah has opened his armory and has brought out the weapons of his indignation, for the Lord, Jehovah of hosts, has a work in the land of the Chaldeans.
26 Come against her from the utmost border. Open her store-houses. Cast her up as heaps and destroy her utterly; let nothing of her be left. 27 Kill all her bullocks. Let them go down to the slaughter. Woe to them! For their day has come, the time of their visitation.

18 You* will eat the flesh of the mighty and drink the blood of the rulers of the earth, of rams, of lambs and of goats, of bullocks, all of them fatten sheep of Bashan. 19 And you* will eat fat till you* are full and drink blood till you* are drunken, of my sacrifice which I have sacrificed for you*. 20 And you* will be filled at my table with horses and chariots, with mighty men and with all men of war, says the lord Jehovah.

And the goat had a notable horn between his eyes. 6 And he came to the ram that had the two horns, which I saw standing before the river and ran upon him in the fury of his power.
7 And I saw him come close to the ram. And he was moved with anger against him and killed* the ram and broke his two horns. And there was no power in the ram to stand before him, but he cast him down to the ground and trampled upon him. And there was none that could deliver the ram out of his hand.
8 And the male-goat magnified himself exceedingly. And when he was strong, the great horn was broken and instead of it there came up four notable horns toward the four winds of heaven.

5 And the king of the south will be strong and one of his rulers. And he will be powerful over him and have dominion. His dominion will be a great dominion. 6 And at the end of years they will join themselves together. And the daughter of the king of the south will come to the king of the north to make a smoothly agreement, but she will not retain the strength of her arm, nor will he stand, nor his arm. But she will be given up and also those who brought her and he who fathered her and he who strengthened her in those times.
7 But out of a shoot from her roots will a man stand up in his place, who will come to the army and will enter into the fortress of the king of the north and will deal against them and will prevail. 8 And also their gods, with their molten images and with their desirable vessels of silver and of gold, he will carry captive into Egypt and he will refrain from the king of the north some years.
9 And he will come into the realm of the king of the south, but he will return into his own land. 10 And his sons will war and will assemble a multitude of great forces, which will come on and overflow and pass through. And they will return and war, even to his fortress.
11 And the king of the south will be moved with anger and will come out and fight with him, even with the king of the north. And he will set forth a great multitude and the multitude will be given into his hand. 12 And the multitude will be lifted up and his heart will be exalted. And he will cast down tens of thousands, but he will not prevail.
13 And the king of the north will return and will set forth a multitude greater than the former and he will come on at the end of the times, even of years, with a great army and with much substance. 14 And in those times many will stand up against the king of the south. Also the sons of the violent among your people will lift themselves up to establish the vision, but they will fall.
15 So the king of the north will come and cast up a mound and take a well-fortified city. And the forces of the south will not stand, nor his chosen people. Neither will there be any strength to stand. 16 But he who comes against him will do according to his own will and none will stand before him. And he will stand in the glorious land and in his hand will be destruction.
17 And he will set his face to come with the strength of his whole kingdom and with him equitable conditions and he will perform them. And he will give him the daughter of women, to corrupt her, but she will not stand, nor be for him.
18 After this he will turn his face to the isles and will take many. But a ruler will cause the reproach offered by him to cease. Yes, moreover, he will cause his reproach to turn upon him. 19 Then he will turn his face toward the fortresses of his own land, but he will stumble and fall and will not be found.
20 Then someone will stand up in his place, a tax oppressor to pass through, for the glory of the kingdom, but within a few days he will be destroyed, neither in anger, nor in battle.

And those four had their rims full of eyes all around. 19 And when the living creatures went, the wheels went beside them. And the house was filled with the cloud and the court was full of the brightness of Jehovah's glory. 5 And the sound of the wings of the cherubim was heard even to the outer court, as the voice of God Almighty when he speaks.
6 And it happened, when he commanded the man clothed in linen, saying, Take fire from between the whirling wheels, from between the cherubim, that he went in and stood beside a wheel. 7 And the cherub stretched forth his hand from between the cherubim to the fire that was between the cherubim and took and put it into the hands of him who was clothed in linen, who took it and went out.

Here is the endurance and the faith of the holy-ones. 11 And I saw another beast ascending out of the earth, and he was holding two horns similar to a lamb and he was speaking like a dragon. 12 And he practiced all the authority of the first beast in his sight and was making the earth and those who are dwelling in it in order that they should worship the first beast, whose wound of death was healed. 13 And he does great signs, even makes fire in order that it might come down from heaven upon the earth in the sight of men. 14 And the one who is misleading those of mine who are dwelling upon the earth because of the signs which was given to him to do in the sight of the beast, saying to those who dwell upon the earth to make an image to the beast, who was holding the wound of death from the sword and lived. 15 And it was given to it to give breath to the image of the beast, in order that the image of the beast should speak and in order that it should make as many as would not worship to the image of the beast in order that they should be killed. 16 And he makes all, the little and the great, and the rich and the poor, and the free and the bond, in order that there may be marks given to them upon their right hand or upon their foreheads; 17 and in order that no one should be able to buy or to sell, except he who has the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of its name. 18 Here is wisdom. He who has perception, let him calculate the number of the beast; for it is the number of man and his number is six hundred and sixty-six.

13 And I heard the voice from heaven saying to me, Write, the dead ones who die in the Lord are fortunate from now on. Yes, says the Spirit, in order that they should rest themselves from their labors, and their works follow after them.
14 And I saw and behold, a white cloud, and upon the cloud I saw one sitting similar to a son of man, having upon his head a golden crown and in his hand a sharp sickle. 15 And another messenger came out from the temple, crying in a loud voice to the one who sits upon the cloud, Send forth your sickle and reap, because the hour to reap has come, because the harvest of the earth is ripe. 16 And he who sits upon the cloud cast his sickle upon the earth, and the earth was reaped.
17 Another messenger came out from the temple which is in heaven, he also having a sharp sickle. 18 And another messenger came out from the altar, he who has authority over the fire, and he shouted to the one who had the sharp sickle with a loud outcry, saying, Send forth your sharp sickle and pick the clusters from the earth, because her grape-clusters were prime. 19 And the messenger cast his sickle into the earth and picked the clusters of the vine of the earth and cast it into the winepress, the great winepress of the fury of God. 20 And the winepress was trampled on outside the city and there came out blood from the winepress, even to the bridles of the horses, up to one thousand six hundred furlongs.

Be gathered together to the great supper of God; 18 in order that you may eat the flesh of kings and the flesh of commanders and the flesh of mighty men and the flesh of horses and of those who sit upon them and the flesh of all men, both free men and bondservants and both the little and the great.
19 And I saw the beast and the kings of the earth and their armies, have been gathered together to make a war with the one who sits upon the horse and with his army. 20 And the beast was clutched and with him the false prophet who made the signs in his sight, in which he misled those who had received the mark of the beast and those who are worshiping his image. The two were cast while living into the lake of fire which is burning in brimstone. 21 And the rest were killed with the long-sword of the one who sits upon the horse, which came forth out of his mouth and all the birds were fed from their flesh.

2 Thessalonians 2:3-10

3 Do not let anyone deceive you in any manner, because that day will not come, if the apostasy does not come first and the man of sin, the son of destruction, should be revealed. 4 The one who lays in opposition to us and promotes himself against everyone being called a god or worshiped objects; so-that he sits in the temple of God as a god, showing himself–that he is a god. 5 Do you not remember that when I was still with you, I was speaking to you about these things? 6 And now you know what is holding him back, that he may be revealed in his own time. 7 For the mystery of lawlessness is already working; only there is one who is holding it back now, until he should become from the midst of us. 8 And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will be consuming with the breath of his mouth and will be doing-away-with him by the appearing of his presence; 9 even he, whose presence is according to the working of the Adversary in every power and in signs and in lying wonders, 10 and in all deception of unrighteousness in those who are perishing, because they did not accept the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
