¹ And rising up from there, He came into the borders of Judea by the other side of the Jordan. And again crowds came together to Him, and as He usually did, He again taught them.

⁹ And more than that, the Preacher was wise; he still taught the people knowledge. Yes, he listened, and looked, and set in order many proverbs.

³³ And they have turned the back to Me, and not the face; though I taught them, rising up early and teaching, yet they have not listened to receive instruction.

²³ And Jesus went around all Galilee teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every disease and every one of the illnesses among the people.

¹ And it happened when Jesus had finished these words, He moved from Galilee and came into the borders of Judea beyond the Jordan. ² And great crowds followed Him, and He healed them there. ³ And the Pharisees came near to Him, tempting Him, and saying to Him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for every reason? ⁴ But answering, He said to them, Have you not read that He who created them from the beginning "created them male and female"? Gen. 1:27 ⁵ And He said, "For this reason a man shall leave father and mother, and shall be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh." Gen. 2:24 ⁶ So that they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore, what God has joined together, let not man separate. ⁷ They said to Him, Why then did Moses command to "give a bill of divorce," "and to put her away"? Deut. 24:1 ⁸ He said to them, In view of your hardheartedness, Moses allowed you to put away your wives. But from the beginning it was not so. ⁹ And I say to you, Whoever shall put away his wife, if not for fornication, and shall marry another, that one commits adultery. And the one who marries her who was put away commits adultery. ¹⁰ His disciples said to Him, If the case of the man be so with his wife, it is not good to marry. ¹¹ But He said to them, Not all receive this word, but those to whom it is given. ¹² For there are eunuchs who were born thus from their mother's womb, and there are eunuchs who were made eunuchs by men, and there are eunuchs who made eunuchs of themselves for the sake of the kingdom of Heaven. He who is able to receive, let him receive it.

¹³ And he went out by the sea again. And all the crowd came to Him, and He taught them.

² And He taught them many things in parables, and said to them in His teaching:

⁶ And He marveled because of their unbelief. And He went around the villages in a circuit, teaching.

³⁴ And going out, Jesus saw a large crowd, and had pity on them, because "they were as sheep having no shepherd." And He began to teach them many things. Num. 27:17; Eze. 34:5

⁴⁰ And He went away again across the Jordan to the place where John was at first baptizing and remained there.

⁷ Then after this He said to the disciples, Let us go to Judea again.

²⁰ Jesus answered him, I publicly spoke to the world; I always taught in the synagogue and in the temple where the Jews always come together, and I spoke nothing in secret.
