¹ And He said to them, Truly I say to you, There are some of those standing here who in no way shall taste of death until they see the kingdom of God coming in power. ² And after six days Jesus takes along Peter and James and John, and leads them into a high mount apart, alone. And He was transfigured before them. ³ And His garments became shining, very white like snow, such as a fuller on earth is not able to whiten. ⁴ And Elijah with Moses was seen by them, and they were speaking with Jesus. ⁵ And answering, Peter said to Jesus, Rabbi, it is good for us to be here; and, Let us make three tents, one for You, and one for Moses, and one for Elijah. ⁶ For he did not know what to say, for they were very fearful. ⁷ And a cloud was overshadowing them, and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, "This is My Son," the Beloved; hear Him. Psa. 2:7; Gen. 22:2; Deut. 18:15 ⁸ And suddenly, looking around, they saw no one any longer, but Jesus alone with themselves. ⁹ And as they were coming down from the mount, He commanded them that they should tell no one what they saw, except when the Son of man should rise from the dead. ¹⁰ And they held the word to themselves, debating what it is to rise from the dead. ¹¹ And they asked Him, saying, Do the scribes say that Elijah must come first? ¹² And answering, He said to them, Indeed, Elijah coming first restores all things. And how it has been written of the Son of man that He suffer many things and be despised! ¹³ But I say to you, Elijah also has come and they did to him whatever they desired, even as it has been written of him. ¹⁴ And coming to the disciples, He saw a great crowd around them, and scribes arguing with them. ¹⁵ And at once all the crowd seeing Him were greatly amazed. And running up, they greeted Him. ¹⁶ And He questioned the scribes, What are you arguing with them? ¹⁷ And one answered out of the crowd, saying, Teacher, I brought my son to You, having a dumb spirit. ¹⁸ And wherever it seizes him, it dashes him; and he foams and gnashes his teeth. And he wastes away. And I told Your disciples, that they might expel it. And they were not able. ¹⁹ And answering them, He said, O unbelieving generation! How long will I be with you? How long shall I endure you? Bring him to Me. ²⁰ And they brought him to Him. And seeing Him, the spirit immediately convulsed him. And falling on the ground, he wallowed, foaming. ²¹ And He questioned his father, How long a time is it while this has happened to him? And he said, From childhood. ²² And often it threw him both into fire and into water, that it might destroy him. But if You are able to do anything, help us, having pity on us. ²³ And Jesus said to him, If you are able to believe, all things are possible to those believing. ²⁴ And immediately crying out, the father of the child said with tears, Lord, I believe! Help my unbelief! ²⁵ And seeing that a crowd is running together, Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to it, Dumb and deaf spirit, I command you, Come out from him, and you may no more go into him! ²⁶ And crying out, and convulsing him very much, it came out. And he became as if dead, so as for many to say that he died. ²⁷ But taking hold of his hand, Jesus raised him up, and he stood up. ²⁸ And He entering into a house, His disciples questioned Him privately, Why were we not able to cast it out? ²⁹ And He said to them, This kind can go out by nothing except by prayer and fasting. ³⁰ And going forth from there, they passed by through Galilee. And He desired that no one know. ³¹ For He taught His disciples, and said to them, The Son of man is betrayed into the hands of men, and they will kill Him. And being killed, He will rise up the third day. ³² But they did not know the word, and feared to question Him. ³³ And they came to Capernaum. And having come into the house, He questioned them, What were you disputing to yourselves in the way? ³⁴ And they were silent, for they argued with one another in the way as to who was greater. ³⁵ And sitting, He called the Twelve and said to them, If anyone desires to be first, he shall be last of all and servant of all. ³⁶ And taking a child, He set it in their midst, and having embraced it, He said to them, ³⁷ Whoever receives one of such children on My name receives Me. And whoever receives Me does not receives Me, but the One having sent Me. ³⁸ And John answered Him, saying, Teacher, we saw someone casting out demons in Your name, who does not follow us. And we forbade him, because he does not follow us. ³⁹ But Jesus said, Do not forbid him. For there is no one who shall do a work of power in My name, yet be able to speak evil of Me quickly. ⁴⁰ For who is not against us is for us. ⁴¹ For whoever gives you a cup of cold water to drink in My name, because you are of Christ, truly I say to you, In no way he will lose his reward. ⁴² And whoever causes one of these little ones that believe in Me to offend, it is good for him if rather a millstone be laid about his neck, and he be thrown into the sea. ⁴³ And if your hand offend you, cut it off. For it is profitable for you to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go away into Hell, into the fire that cannot be put out, ⁴⁴ where their worm does not die, and the fire is not put out. ⁴⁵ And if your foot causes you to offend, cut it off, for it is profitable for you to enter into life lame, than having two feet to be thrown into Hell, into the fire that cannot be put out, ⁴⁶ where their worm does not die, and the fire is not put out. ⁴⁷ And if your eye offends you, cast it out. For it is profitable for you to enter into the kingdom of God one-eyed, than having two eyes to be thrown into the Hell of fire, ⁴⁸ "where their worm does not die and the fire is not put out." Isa. 66:24 ⁴⁹ For everyone will be salted with fire, and every sacrifice will be salted with salt. ⁵⁰ Salt is good, but if the salt becomes saltless, by what will you season? Have salt in yourselves and be at peace with one another.

²⁸ Truly I say to you, There are some standing here who in no way will taste of death until they see the Son of man coming in His kingdom.

³⁰ And then the sign of the Son of man will appear in the heavens. And then all the tribes of the land will wail. And they will see the Son of man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and much glory. Dan. 7:13

³¹ But when the Son of man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory.

²⁶ And then they will see the Son of man coming in clouds with much power and glory. Dan. 7:13

³⁰ Truly I say to you, Not at all will this generation pass away until all these things occur.

²⁶ And it happened to him, having been divinely instructed by the Holy Spirit, he was not to see death before he would see the Christ of the Lord.

²⁷ But truly I say to you, There are some of those standing here who in no way shall taste of death until they see the kingdom of God.

¹⁸ For I say to you that in no way will I drink from the produce of the vine until the kingdom of God comes.

³⁰ that you may eat and drink at My table in My kingdom; and you will sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

⁵¹ Truly, truly, I say to you, If anyone keeps My Word, he will never ever see death. ⁵² Then the Jews said to Him, Now we know that you have a demon. Abraham died, and the prophets, and you say, If anyone keeps My Word, he will never ever taste of death.

²³ Therefore, the word went out to the brothers that that disciple does not die. Yet Jesus did not say to him that he does not die, but, If I desire him to remain until I come, what is that to you?

⁶ Then, indeed, coming together they questioned Him, saying, Lord, do You restore the kingdom to Israel at this time? ⁷ And He said to them, It is not yours to know times or seasons which the Father placed in His own authority;

⁹ but we do see Jesus crowned with glory and honor, who on account of the suffering of death was made a little less than the angels, so that by the grace of God He might taste of death for every son .

¹³ And Moses rose up, and Joshua his attendant. And Moses went up to the mountain of God.

²⁹ And it happened as Moses was going down from Mount Sinai, the two tablets of the testimony being in Moses' hand as he went down from the mountain, Moses did not know that the skin of his face had become luminous through His speaking with him. ³⁰ And Aaron and all the sons of Israel saw Moses. And, behold! The skin of his face had become luminous. And they were afraid to draw near to him. ³¹ And Moses called to them. And Aaron and all the leaders among the congregation turned back to him. And Moses spoke to them. ³² And afterwards all the sons of Israel drew near. And he commanded them all which Jehovah had spoken with him in Mount Sinai. ³³ And Moses finished speaking with them, and he put a veil on his face. ³⁴ And as Moses came in before Jehovah to speak with Him, he took off the veil until he went out. And he would go out and speak to the sons of Israel that which he was commanded. ³⁵ And the sons of Israel would see the face of Moses, that the skin of Moses' face had become luminous. And Moses would put back the veil on his face until he went in to speak with Him.

³³ And he arranged the wood, and cut the bullock in pieces, and placed it on the wood, and said, Fill four water jars of water and pour on the burnt offering and on the wood.

⁴² And Ahab went up to eat, and to drink; and Elijah went up to the top of Carmel, and he stretched himself out on the earth, and he put his face between his knees;

¹⁷ Your eyes shall see the king in his beauty; they shall see a land that is very far off.

² For He comes up before Him as a tender plant, and as a root out of dry ground. He has no form nor magnificence that we should see Him; nor form that we should desire Him.

¹³ And having heard, Jesus withdrew privately from there in a boat, into a deserted place. And hearing, the crowds followed Him on foot out of the cities.

Moses and Elijah appeared to them, talking with Him. ⁴ And answering, Peter said to Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here. If You will, let us make three tents here, one for You, one for Moses, and one for Elijah. ⁵ While he was yet speaking, behold, a radiant cloud overshadowed them. And, behold, a voice out of the cloud saying, This is My Son, the Beloved, in whom I delight; hear Him. Psa. 2:7; Gen. 22:2; Isa. 42:1; Deut. 18:15 ⁶ And hearing, the disciples fell on their face and were greatly terrified. ⁷ And coming near, Jesus touched them and said, Rise up, and do not be terrified. ⁸ And lifting up their eyes, they did not see anyone except Jesus alone.

¹¹ And answering, Jesus said to them, Elijah indeed comes first and shall restore all things. ¹² But I say to you, Elijah has already come, and they did not know him, but did to him whatever they desired. So also the Son of man is about to suffer by them. ¹³ Then the disciples understood that He spoke to them about John the Baptist.

³⁷ And He did not allow anyone to go with Him except Peter and James and John, the brother of James.

³³ And He took along Peter and James and John with Him. And He began to be much amazed and to be deeply troubled.

¹² And after these things, He was revealed in a different form to two of them walking and going into the country.

¹² And it happened in these days, He went out into the mountain to pray. And He was spending the night in prayer to God.

²⁸ And about eight days after these sayings, it happened: also taking Peter and John and James, He went into the mountain to pray. ²⁹ And in His praying, the appearance of His face became different, and His clothing was dazzling white. ³⁰ And, behold, two men talked with Him, who were Moses and Elijah. ³¹ Appearing in glory, they spoke of His exodus, which He was about to accomplish in Jerusalem. ³² But Peter and those with him were pressed down with sleep. But fully awakening, they saw His glory, and the two men standing with Him. ³³ And it happened in their parting from Him, Peter said to Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be here. And, Let us make three tents, one for You, and one for Moses, and one for Elijah, not knowing what he said. ³⁴ And he saying these things, a cloud came and overshadowed them. And they feared as those entered into the cloud. ³⁵ And a voice came out of the cloud, saying, This is My Son, the Beloved; hear Him! Psa. 2:7; Isa. 42:1; Deut. 18:15 ³⁶ And as the voice occurred, Jesus was found alone. And they were quiet. And they reported to no one in those days, nothing which they had seen.

¹⁴ And the Word became flesh and tabernacled among us. And we beheld His glory, glory as of an only begotten from the Father, full of grace and of truth.

² And be not conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, in order to prove by you what is the good and pleasing and perfect will of God.

⁷ But if the ministry of death having been engraved in letters in stone was with glory, so as the sons of Israel could not gaze into "the face of Moses" because of the glory of his face, which was to cease, Ex. 34:34 ⁸ how much rather the ministry of the Spirit will be in glory! ⁹ For if the ministry of condemnation was glory, much rather the ministry of righteousness abounds in glory. ¹⁰ For even that which has been made glorious has not been made glorious in this respect, because of the surpassing glory.

¹ I am coming to you this third time . "In the mouth of two or three witnesses every matter shall be established." Deut. 19:15

⁶ who subsisting in the form of God thought it not robbery to be equal with God, ⁷ but emptied Himself, taking the form of a slave, having become in the likeness of men ⁸ and being found in fashion as a man, He humbled Himself, having become obedient until death, even the death of a cross.

²¹ who will transform our body of humiliation, for it to be conformed to His body of glory, according to the working of His power, even to put all things under Himself.

¹⁶ For not following fables which had been cleverly devised, but having become eyewitnesses of the majesty of Jesus Christ, we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord. ¹⁷ For receiving honor and glory from God the Father such a voice being borne to Him from the magnificent glory, "This is My Son, the Beloved, in whom I was well pleased," Psa. 2:7; Gen. 22:2; Isa. 42:1; Matt. 17:5 ¹⁸ even we heard this voice being borne out of Heaven, being with Him in the holy mountain,

¹³ And having turned, I saw seven golden lampstands, and in the midst of the seven lampstands One like the Son of man, having been clothed to the feet, and having been girded with a golden girdle at the breasts. ¹⁴ And the hairs of His head were white as white wool, as snow, and His eyes as a flame of fire; ¹⁵ and His feet like burnished brass having been fired in a furnace; and His voice as a sound of many waters; ¹⁶ and having in His right hand seven stars; and a sharp, two-edged sword proceeding out of His mouth, and His face shining as the sun in its power. ¹⁷ And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet, as dead. And He put His right hand on me, saying to me, Do not fear. I am the First and the Last,

¹¹ And I saw a great white throne, and the One sitting on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled; and a place was not found for them.

⁷ Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.

¹⁴ When the Almighty scatters kings in it, it snows on Mount Salmon.

¹ Bless Jehovah, O my soul! O Jehovah my God, You are very great; You have put on honor and majesty, ² covering Yourself with light like a cloak, and stretching out the heavens like a curtain;

¹⁸ Come now and let us reason together, says Jehovah: Though your sins are as scarlet, they shall be white as snow; though they are red as the crimson, they shall be like wool.

⁹ I was looking until the thrones were thrown up, and the Ancient of Days sat, whose robe was white as snow and the hair of His head like pure wool. His throne was like flames of fire, its wheels like burning fire.

² But who can endure the day of His coming? And who will stand when He appears? For He is like a refiner's fire and like fuller's soap. ³ And He shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver; and He shall purify the sons of Levi and purge them like gold and like silver, that they may be presenters of a food offering in righteousness to Jehovah.

³ And his face was as lightning and his clothing white as snow.

³⁰ And Cornelius said, From the fourth day until this hour I have been fasting, and the ninth hour I was praying in my house. And, behold, a man stood before me in bright clothing.

⁹ After these things I saw, and behold, a great crowd which no one was able to number them, out of every nation, even tribes and peoples and tongues standing in front of the throne, and before the Lamb, having been clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands.

¹⁴ And I said to him, Sir, you know. And he said to me, These are those coming out of the great tribulation; and they washed their robes and whitened them in the blood of the Lamb.

¹⁸ that you may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of commanders, and the flesh of strong ones, and the flesh of horses, and of the ones sitting on them, and the flesh of all, both freemen and slaves, even of the small and great.

⁵ And Moses the servant of Jehovah died there in the land of Moab, according to the command of Jehovah. ⁶ And He buried him in a valley in the land of Moab, opposite Beth-peor; and no man knows his grave to this day.

¹¹ And it happened, as they were going on and speaking, behold, a chariot of fire and horses of fire came . And they separated between them both, and Elijah went up in a tempest to Heaven. ¹² And Elisha was watching, and he was crying, My father, my father, the chariot of Israel and its horsemen! And he did not see him again. And he took hold on his garments and tore them into two pieces.

¹³ For all the Prophets and the Law prophesied until John.

³ And, behold! Moses and Elijah appeared to them, talking with Him. ⁴ And answering, Peter said to Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here. If You will, let us make three tents here, one for You, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.

¹⁹ And answering, they said, John the Baptist; and others, Elijah; and others that some prophet of the ancients has risen again.

³⁰ And, behold, two men talked with Him, who were Moses and Elijah. ³¹ Appearing in glory, they spoke of His exodus, which He was about to accomplish in Jerusalem.

²⁷ And beginning from Moses, and from all the prophets, He explained to them the things about Himself in all the Scriptures.

⁴⁴ And He said to them, These are the words which I spoke to you yet being with you, that must be fulfilled all the things having been written in the Law of Moses, and the Prophets, and the Psalms, concerning Me.

³⁹ You search the Scriptures, for you think in them you have everlasting life. And they are the ones witnessing concerning Me.

⁴⁵ Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father; there is one accusing you, Moses, in whom you have hoped. ⁴⁶ For if you were believing Moses, you would then believe Me; for that one wrote concerning Me. ⁴⁷ But if you do not believe his writings, how will you believe My words?

²¹ whom Heaven truly needs to receive until the times of restoration of all things, of which God spoke through the mouth of all His holy prophets from the age past. ²² For Moses indeed said to the fathers, " The Lord your God will raise up to you a Prophet from among your brothers, One like me; you shall hear Him according to all things," whatever He may speak to you. See Deut. 18:15-16, 19 ²³ And it shall be that of every soul, whoever should not hear that Prophet shall be utterly destroyed from among the people. ²⁴ And also all the prophets, from Samuel and those following after, as many as spoke, also before announced these days.

¹⁰ About which salvation the prophets sought out and searched out, prophesying concerning the grace for you, ¹¹ searching for what, or what sort of time the Spirit of Christ made clear within them; testifying beforehand of the sufferings belonging to Christ, and the glories after these. ¹² To whom it was revealed that not to themselves, but to us they ministered the same things, which now were announced to you by those having preached the gospel to you in the Holy Spirit sent from Heaven; into which things angels long to bow to look.

¹⁰ And I fell before his feet to worship him, but he said to me, Behold! Stop! I am a fellow-slave of yours, and of your brothers, having the testimony of Jesus. Worship God. For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

¹⁷ And Jehovah said to Moses, This thing which you have spoken I will do. For you have found favor in My eyes, and I know you by name. ¹⁸ And he said, I pray, let me see Your glory. ¹⁹ And He said, I will cause all My goodness to pass before your face. And I will call out the name of Jehovah before your face. And I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy. ²⁰ And he said, You are not able to see My face; for no man can see Me and live. ²¹ And Jehovah said, Behold, a place by Me! And you shall stand on a rock. ²² And as My glory is passing it will be that I will put you in a cleft of the rock; and I will cover My palm over you during My passing. ²³ And I will remove My palm, and you shall see My back; but My face cannot be seen.

² He alone is my rock and my salvation, my strong tower; I shall not be greatly moved. ³ Until when will you break in against a man? You will shatter him, all of you, like a bowing wall, a tottering fence.

¹⁰ For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand; I have chosen to stand at the threshold in the house of my God rather than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.

⁷ and the greetings in the markets, and to be called by men, Rabbi, Rabbi.

⁸ And Philip said to Him, Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us. ⁹ Jesus said to him, Am I so long a time with you, and you have not known Me, Philip? The one seeing Me has seen the Father! And how do you say, Show us the Father?

²¹ He that has My commandments and keeps them, it is that one who loves Me; and the one that loves Me shall be loved by My Father, and I shall love him and will reveal Myself to him. ²² Judas said to Him, not the Iscariot, Lord, what has happened that You are about to reveal Yourself to us and not at all to the world? ²³ Jesus answered and said to him, If anyone loves Me, he will keep My Word, and My Father shall love him. And We will come to him and will make a dwelling place with him.

²³ For I am pressed together by the two: having a desire to depart and be with Christ, which is far better,

² Beloved, now we are the children of God, and it was not yet revealed what we shall be. But we know that if He is revealed, we shall be like Him, because we shall see Him as He is.

³ And every curse will no longer be. And the throne of God and the Lamb will be in it; and His slaves will serve Him. ⁴ And they will see His face; and His name will be on their foreheads.

¹⁵ And when he had spoken such words to me, I set my face to the ground, and I became speechless. ¹⁶ And, behold, one in form as the sons of men touched my lips. And I opened my mouth and spoke and said to him who stood before me, O lord, my pangs have come over me because of the vision, and I have no strength left. ¹⁷ For how can the servant of my lord speak this with this my lord? For as for me, there is no power left in me; yea, there is no breath left in me. ¹⁸ And again one in form as a man touched me and made me strong. ¹⁹ And he said, O man greatly beloved, do not fear. Peace to you. Be strong. Yea, be strong! And when he had spoken to me I was made strong. And I said, Speak, my lord, for you have made me strong.

⁵ And entering into the tomb, they saw a young man sitting on the right, having been clothed in a white robe. And they were much amazed. ⁶ But He said to them, Do not be amazed. You seek Jesus the Nazarene who has been crucified. He was raised. He is not here. See the place where they put Him? ⁷ But go, say to the disciples and to Peter, He goes before you into Galilee. You will see Him there, even as He told you. ⁸ And going out quickly, they fled from the tomb. And trembling and ecstasy took hold of them. And they told no one, not a thing, for they were afraid.

¹⁷ And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet, as dead. And He put His right hand on me, saying to me, Do not fear. I am the First and the Last,

²¹ Be on guard before Him, and listen to His voice. Do not be rebellious against Him, for He will not forgive your transgressions; for My name is in Him. ²² For if you fully listen to His voice, and do all which I speak, I will be an enemy to your enemies, and will be a foe to your foes.

¹⁶ And the glory of Jehovah dwelt on the mountain of Sinai. And the cloud covered it six days. And He called to Moses on the seventh day from the midst of the cloud.

³⁴ And the cloud covered the tabernacle of the congregation; and the glory of Jehovah filled the tabernacle.

¹⁵ Jehovah your God shall raise up to you a Prophet from among you, of your brothers, One like me; you shall listen to Him, ¹⁶ according to all that you desired of Jehovah your God in Horeb in the day of the assembly, saying, Let me not hear again the voice of Jehovah my God, nor let me see this great fire any more, lest I die. ¹⁷ And Jehovah said to me, They have spoken well, what they have said. ¹⁸ I shall raise up a Prophet to them from among their brothers, one like you; and I will put My words in His mouth; and He shall speak to them all that I shall command Him. ¹⁹ And it shall be, whoever will not listen to My words which he shall speak in My name, I will require it at his hand.

¹⁰ And it happened as the priests went out from the Holy of Holies, that the cloud filled the house of Jehovah, ¹¹ and the priests were not able to stand to minister because of the cloud, for the glory of Jehovah had filled the house of Jehovah. ¹² And Solomon said, Jehovah has said that He would dwell in the thick darkness.

⁷ I will declare concerning the statute of Jehovah: He said to Me, You are My Son. Today I have begotten You.

² Clouds and darkness are all around Him; righteousness and judgment are the foundation of His throne.

¹³ I was looking in the night visions. And behold! One like the Son of Man came with the clouds of the heavens. And He came to the Ancient of Days. And they brought Him near before Him.

¹⁷ And behold! A voice out of the heaven saying, This is My Son, the Beloved, in whom I have found delight. Psa. 2:7; Gen. 22:2; Isa. 42:1

I tell you more. From this time you shall see the Son of man sitting off the right hand of power, and coming on the clouds of the heavens. Psa. 110:1; LXX-Dan. 7:13

⁴³ He trusted on God. Let Him rescue him now, if He desires him. For he said, I am Son of God.

⁵⁴ But the centurion and those with him guarding Jesus, seeing the earthquake and the things taking place, they feared exceedingly, saying, Truly this One was Son of God.

¹¹ And there was a voice out of the heavens, You are My Son, the Beloved, in whom I take delight. Psa. 2:7; Gen. 22:2; Isa. 42:1

³⁴ And I have seen and have witnessed that this One is the Son of God.

⁴⁹ Nathanael answered and said to Him, Rabbi, You are the Son of God; You are the King of Israel.

¹⁶ For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that everyone believing into Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. ¹⁷ For God did not send His Son into the world that He might judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him. ¹⁸ The one believing into Him is not condemned; but the one not believing has already been condemned, for he has not believed into the name of the only begotten Son of God.

¹⁸ Because of this, therefore, the Jews lusted the more to kill Him, for not only did He break the sabbath, but also called God His own Father, making Himself equal to God.

²² For the Father judges no one, but has given all judgment to the Son, ²³ so that all may honor the Son, even as they honor the Father. The one not honoring the Son does not honor the Father who has sent Him. ²⁴ Truly, truly, I say to you, the one who hears My word, and believes the One who has sent Me, has everlasting life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life. ²⁵ Truly, truly, I say to you that an hour is coming, and now is, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and the ones hearing will live.

³⁷ And the Father, He sending Me, has Himself borne witness concerning Me. You have neither heard His voice at any time, nor have you seen His form.

⁶⁹ And we have believed and have known that You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.

³⁵ Jesus heard that they threw him outside, and finding him, He said to him, Do you believe into the Son of God?

⁷ Then the Jews answered him, We have a law, and according to our Law he ought to die because he made himself Son of God!

³¹ But these have been written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name.

⁹ And saying these things, as they looked on, He was taken up, and a cloud received Him from their eyes.

²² For Moses indeed said to the fathers, " The Lord your God will raise up to you a Prophet from among your brothers, One like me; you shall hear Him according to all things," whatever He may speak to you. See Deut. 18:15-16, 19 ²³ And it shall be that of every soul, whoever should not hear that Prophet shall be utterly destroyed from among the people.

³⁷ This is the Moses who said to the sons of Israel, " The Lord your God will raise up a Prophet to you" "from your brothers, One like me." You shall hear Him. Deut. 18:15

³⁶ And as they were going along the highway they came on some water. And the eunuch said, Behold, water! What prevents me from being baptized?

⁴ who was marked out Son of God in power, according to the Spirit of holiness, by resurrection of the dead, Jesus Christ our Lord;

¹ For this reason we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things heard, that we should not slip away at any time.

²⁵ Watch that you do not refuse the One speaking; for if these did not escape who refused Him who divinely warned them on earth, much rather we, those turning away from Heaven; ²⁶ whose voice shook the earth then, but now He has promised, saying, "Yet once" "I will shake not only the earth, but also the heavens." Hag. 2:6

¹⁷ For receiving honor and glory from God the Father such a voice being borne to Him from the magnificent glory, "This is My Son, the Beloved, in whom I was well pleased," Psa. 2:7; Gen. 22:2; Isa. 42:1; Matt. 17:5

⁹ By this the love of God was revealed in us, because His Son, the Only begotten, God has sent into the world that we might live through Him. ¹⁰ In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us, and sent His Son to be a propitiation relating to our sins.

¹¹ And this is the witness: that God gave us everlasting life, and this life is in His Son. ¹² The one having the Son has life. The one not having the Son of God does not have life.

²⁰ And we know that the Son of God has come, and He has given to us an understanding that we may know the true One, and we are in the true One, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and the life everlasting.

⁷ "Behold, He comes with the clouds," and "every eye will see Him, and the ones who pierced" Him, and all the tribes of the earth "will wail on account of Him." Yes, Amen. Dan. 7:13; Zech. 12:10

³⁶ And as the voice occurred, Jesus was found alone. And they were quiet. And they reported to no one in those days, nothing which they had seen.

³¹ And their eyes were opened, and they knew Him. And He became invisible from them.

³⁹ But when they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip. And the eunuch did not see him any more; for he went his way rejoicing. ⁴⁰ And Philip was found at Azotus. And passing through he preached the gospel to all the cities until he came to Caesarea.

¹⁶ And this happened three times, and the vessel was taken up into the heaven again.

⁴ And Jesus said to him, See that you tell no one, but go, show yourself to the priest and offer the gift which Moses commanded, for a testimony to them.

¹⁹ He will not strive nor cry out, nor will anyone hear His voice in the streets.

⁴⁰ And even as "Jonah was in the belly of the huge fish three days and three nights," so shall the Son of man be in the heart of the earth three days and three nights. Jon. 1:17

²¹ From that time, Jesus began to show to His disciples that it was necessary for Him to go away to Jerusalem, and to suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and to be killed, and to be raised on the third day.

⁹ And as they were coming down from the mountain, Jesus charged them, saying, Tell the vision to no one until the Son of man is raised from the dead. ¹⁰ And His disciples asked Him, saying, Why then do the scribes say that Elijah must come first?

⁶³ saying, Sir, we have recalled that that deceiver while living said, After three days I will rise.

⁴³ And very much He directed them that no one should know this. And He said to give her something to eat.

²⁹ And He said to them, And you, whom do you say Me to be? And answering, Peter said to Him, You are the Christ. ³⁰ And He warned them that they may tell no one about Him. ³¹ And He began to teach them that it is necessary for the Son of man to suffer many things and to be rejected of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and to be killed, and after three days to rise again.

³⁰ And going forth from there, they passed by through Galilee. And He desired that no one know. ³¹ For He taught His disciples, and said to them, The Son of man is betrayed into the hands of men, and they will kill Him. And being killed, He will rise up the third day.

³² And they were in the highway, going up to Jerusalem. And Jesus was going before them, and following they were astonished and were afraid. And taking the Twelve again, He began to tell them the things about to happen to Him: ³³ Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem. And the Son of man will be betrayed to the chief priests and to the scribes. And they will condemn Him to death and will betray Him to the nations. ³⁴ And they will mock Him and will flog Him and will spit at Him, and will kill Him. And on the third day He will rise again.

¹¹ And his brothers were jealous of him. But his father observed the word.

²² And having taken Him near, Peter began to rebuke Him, saying, God be gracious to You, Lord; this shall never be to You.

³² But they did not know the word, and feared to question Him.

⁵⁰ And they did not understand the word which He spoke to them. ⁵¹ And He went with them and came to Nazareth and was being subject to them. And His mother carefully kept all these words in her heart.

³³ And flogging Him, they will kill Him. And on the third day He will rise again. ³⁴ And they did not understand these things, nothing! And this saying had been hidden from them, and they did not know the things being said.

⁷ saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and to be crucified, and the third day to rise again. ⁸ And they remembered His words.

²⁵ And He said to them, O foolish ones, and slow of heart to believe on all things which the prophets spoke! ²⁶ Was it not necessary for the Christ to suffer these things, and to enter into His glory? ²⁷ And beginning from Moses, and from all the prophets, He explained to them the things about Himself in all the Scriptures.

¹⁹ Jesus said to them, Destroy this sanctuary, and in three days I will raise it up. ²⁰ Then the Jews said, This sanctuary was forty six years being built, and do you raise it up in three days? ²¹ But He spoke about the sanctuary of His body. ²² Then when He was raised from the dead, His disciples recalled that He said this to them. And they believed the Scripture, and the word which Jesus spoke.

¹⁶ But His disciples did not know these things at the first, but when Jesus was glorified, then they recalled that these things had been written on Him, and that they did these things to Him.

³³ But He said this, signifying by what kind of death He was about to die. ³⁴ The crowd answered Him, We heard out of the Law that the Christ remains forever. And how do you say that the Son of man must be lifted up? Who is this Son of man?

¹⁷ Then His disciples said to one another, What is this which He says to us, A little while, and you do not see me; and again, A little and you will see Me? And, Because I go away to the Father? ¹⁸ Then they said, What is this that He says, The little? We do not know what He says. ¹⁹ Then Jesus knew that they desired to ask Him. And He said to them, Do you seek answers with one another concerning this, because I said, A little while, and you do not see Me; and again a little and you will see Me?

²⁹ His disciples said to Him, Behold, now You speak plainly and You say no allegory. ³⁰ Now we know that You know all things and have no need that anyone question You. By this we believe that You came out from God.

¹⁸ And some of the Epicureans and of the Stoics, philosophers, fell in with him. And some said, What may this chatterer wish to say? And these others, He seems to be an announcer of foreign demons (because he announced Jesus and the resurrection to them).

¹ Behold, I am sending My messenger, and He will clear the way before Me. And the Lord whom you are seeking shall suddenly come to His temple, even the Angel of the Covenant, in whom you delight. Behold, He comes, says Jehovah of hosts.

⁵ Behold, I am sending you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of Jehovah.

¹⁴ And if you are willing to receive, he is Elijah, the one about to come.

¹⁰ And His disciples asked Him, saying, Why then do the scribes say that Elijah must come first? ¹¹ And answering, Jesus said to them, Elijah indeed comes first and shall restore all things.

⁴ And Elijah with Moses was seen by them, and they were speaking with Jesus.

My God, my God, why have You forsaken me, and are far from my deliverance, from the words of my groaning? ² O my God, I cry by day, but You do not answer; and in the night, and there is no silence to me. ³ But You are holy, being enthroned on Israel's praises. ⁴ Our fathers trusted in You; they trusted, and You delivered them. ⁵ They cried to You, and were delivered; they trusted in You, and were not ashamed. ⁶ But I am a worm, and no man; a reproach of mankind, and despised by the people. ⁷ All who see Me scornfully laugh at me; they open the lip; they shake the head, saying, ⁸ He rolled on Jehovah, let Him deliver Him; let Him rescue Him, since He delights in Him. ⁹ For You are He, my Taker from the womb; causing me to trust on My mother's breasts. ¹⁰ I was cast on You from the womb, from My mother's belly, You are my God. ¹¹ Be not far from Me; for trouble is near; because no one is there to help. ¹² Many bulls have circled around Me; strong bulls of Bashan have surrounded Me. ¹³ They opened their mouth on Me, like a lion ripping and roaring. ¹⁴ I am poured out like waters, and all My bones are spread apart; My heart is like wax; it is melted in the midst of My bowels. ¹⁵ My strength is dried up like a potsherd; and My tongue clings to My jaws; ¹⁶ and You appoint Me to the dust of death; for dogs have encircled Me; band of spoilers have hemmed Me in, piercers of My hands and My feet. ¹⁷ I count all My bones; they look, they stare at Me. ¹⁸ They divide My garments among them, and they made fall a lot for My clothing. ¹⁹ But You, O Jehovah, be not far off; O My Strength, hurry to help Me! ²⁰ Deliver My soul from the sword, My only one from the paw of the dog. ²¹ Save Me from the lion's mouth; and from the horns of the wild oxen. You have answered Me. ²² I will declare Your name to My brothers; I will praise You in the midst of the assembly. ²³ You who fear Jehovah, praise Him; all the seed of Jacob, glorify Him; and all the seed of Israel, fear Him. ²⁴ For He has not despised nor hated the affliction of the afflicted; and He has not hidden His face from him, but when He cried to Him, He heard. ²⁵ My praise shall be of You in the great assembly; I will pay my vows before His fearers. ²⁶ The meek shall eat and be satisfied; those who seek Jehovah shall praise Him; your heart shall live forever. ²⁷ All the ends of the earth shall remember and turn back to Jehovah; and all the families of the nations shall worship before You. ²⁸ For the kingdom is Jehovah's; and He is the ruler among the nations. ²⁹ All the fat ones of the earth have eaten, and have worshiped; all those going down to the dust shall bow before Him; and he kept not his own soul alive. ³⁰ A seed shall serve Him; it shall be spoken of the Lord to the coming generation; ³¹ they shall come and shall declare His righteousness to a people that shall yet be born; for He has done it.

Save me, O God, for the waters have come in to my soul. ² I sink in deep mire, and there is no standing; I have come into deep waters where the floods overflow me. ³ I am weary from my crying, my throat is scorched; my eyes fail while I wait for my God. ⁴ They who hate me without a cause are more than the hairs of my head; they who would destroy me are mighty, my lying enemies; then I restored what I did not take by violence. ⁵ O God, You know my foolishness, and my guiltiness is not hidden from You. ⁶ O Jehovah of hosts, do not let those who wait on You be ashamed for my sake; let not the ones who seek You be ashamed for my sake, O God of Israel. ⁷ Because I suffered reproach for Your sake, shame has covered my face. ⁸ I have become a stranger to my brothers and a foreigner to my mother's children. ⁹ For the zeal of Your house has consumed Me; and the reproaches of the ones who reproach You have fallen on Me. ¹⁰ When I humbled my soul with fasting, it also was to my reproach; ¹¹ I also made sackcloth my clothing, and I became a mockery to them. ¹² They who sit in the gate spoke of me; and I was the song of drunkards. ¹³ But as for me, my prayer is to You, O Jehovah, at a time of favor, O God! in the plentitude of Your mercy answer me, in the truth of Your salvation. ¹⁴ Deliver me out of the mire, that I may not sink; let me be delivered from those who hate me, and out of the deep waters. ¹⁵ Let not the flood waters overflow me, nor let the deep swallow me up; and let not the pit shut its mouth on me. ¹⁶ Hear me, O Jehovah, for Your mercy is good; in the plentitude of Your tender mercies, turn toward me. ¹⁷ And do not hide Your face from Your servant; for I am distressed; hear me quickly; ¹⁸ draw near my soul; redeem it; ransom me because of my enemies. ¹⁹ You know my reproach and my shame, and my dishonor; my enemies are all before You. ²⁰ Reproach has broken my heart, and I am faint; and I waited for one to show pity, but there was no one; and for comforters, but I found none. ²¹ They also gave Me gall in my food; and in My thirst they gave Me vinegar to drink. ²² Let their table be a trap before them, and to those at ease a snare. ²³ Let their eyes be darkened from seeing, and cause their loins to quiver continually. ²⁴ Pour out Your wrath on them; and let the glow of Your anger overtake them. ²⁵ Let their home be made desolate; let no one dwell in their tents. ²⁶ For whom You have stricken, they have persecuted; and they gossip to the pain of those You pierced. ²⁷ Put iniquity to their iniquity, and do not let them enter into Your righteousness. ²⁸ Blot them out from the Book of Life; yea, let them not be written with the righteous. ²⁹ But I am poor and in pain; O God, Your salvation shall set me on high. ³⁰ I will praise God's name in a song; and I will magnify Him with thanks. ³¹ And it shall please Jehovah more than bulls, horned or hoofed bull. ³² The humble have seen and are glad; you who seek God, your heart shall live. ³³ For Jehovah hears the needy, and He does not despise His prisoners. ³⁴ Let the heavens and the earth praise Him; the seas, and everything that moves in them. ³⁵ For God will save Zion; and He will build the cities of Judah, and they shall live there and possess it. ³⁶ And His servants' seed shall inherit; and they who love His name shall live in it.

²² Arise, O God, contend for Your cause; remember Your reproach from the fool all the day.

³ The voice of him who cries in the wilderness: Prepare the way of Jehovah; make straight in the desert a highway for our God. ⁴ Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low; and the knoll shall be a level place, and the rough places a plain. ⁵ And the glory of Jehovah shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together, for the mouth of Jehovah has spoken.

⁷ So says Jehovah, the Redeemer of Israel, His Holy One, to the despised of soul, to the hated of the nation, the servant of rulers, Kings shall see and rise up; and chiefs shall worship; because of Jehovah who is faithful, and the Holy One of Israel; and He chose You.

⁶ I gave My back to strikers, and My cheeks to pluckers; I did not hide My face from shame and spitting.

¹⁴ Just as many were astonished over You, so much was the disfigurement from man, His appearance and His form from sons of mankind.

¹ Who has believed our report? And to whom is the arm of Jehovah revealed? ² For He comes up before Him as a tender plant, and as a root out of dry ground. He has no form nor magnificence that we should see Him; nor form that we should desire Him. ³ He is despised and abandoned of men, a Man of pains, and acquainted with sickness. And as it were hiding our faces from Him, He being despised, and we did not value Him. ⁴ Surely He has borne our sicknesses, and He carried our pain; yet we esteemed Him plagued, smitten by God, and afflicted. ⁵ But He was wounded for our transgressions; He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His wounds we ourselves are healed. ⁶ All we like sheep have gone astray; we have each one turned to his own way; and Jehovah made meet in Him the iniquity of all of us. ⁷ He was oppressed, and He was afflicted, but He did not open His mouth. He was led as a lamb to the slaughter; and as a ewe before her shearers is dumb, so He opened not His mouth. ⁸ He was taken from prison and from justice; and who shall consider His generation? For He was cut off out of the land of the living; from the transgression of My people, the stroke was to Him. ⁹ And He put His grave with the wicked; and with a rich man in His death; although He had done no violence, and deceit was not in His mouth. ¹⁰ But Jehovah pleased to crush Him, to make Him sick, so that If He should put His soul as a guilt offering, He shall see His seed; He shall prolong His days; and the will of Jehovah shall prosper in His hand. ¹¹ He shall see the fruit of the travail of His soul; He shall be fully satisfied. By His knowledge shall My righteous Servant justify for many, and He shall bear their iniquities. ¹² Because of this I will divide to Him with the great, and with the strong He shall divide the spoil; because He poured out His soul to death; and He was counted with transgressors; and He bore the sin of many, and made intercession for transgressors.

²⁴ Seventy weeks are decreed as to your people, and as to your holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make atonement for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the Most Holy. ²⁵ Know, then, and understand that from the going out of a word to restore and to rebuild Jerusalem, to Messiah the Prince, shall be seven weeks and sixty two weeks. The street shall be built again, and the wall, even in times of affliction. ²⁶ And after sixty two weeks, Messiah shall be cut off, but not for Himself. And the people of a coming prince shall destroy the city and the sanctuary. And its end shall be with the flood, and ruins are determined, and war shall be until the end.

¹³ And Jehovah said to Me, Throw it to the potter, the magnificent price at which I was valued by them. And I took the thirty pieces of silver and threw it to the potter in the house of Jehovah.

⁷ O sword, awake against My Shepherd, and against the Man who is My companion, says Jehovah of hosts. Strike the Shepherd and the sheep will be scattered. And I will turn My hand against the little ones.

⁶ And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the sons, and the heart of the sons to their fathers, that I not come and strike the earth with utter destruction. END OF THE OLD TESTAMENT

¹ Now in those days John the Baptist came preaching in the wilderness of Judea, ² and saying, Repent! For the kingdom of Heaven has drawn near. ³ For this is he spoken of by Isaiah the prophet, saying: "The voice of one crying in the wilderness: Prepare the way of the Lord! Make His paths straight!" Isa. 40:3 ⁴ And John himself had his clothing from hairs of a camel, and a belt of leather about his loin. And his food was locusts and wild honey. ⁵ Then Jerusalem and all Judea went out to him, and all the neighborhood of the Jordan, ⁶ and were baptized by him in the Jordan, confessing their sins. ⁷ But seeing many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to his baptism, he said to them, Offspring of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the wrath to come? ⁸ Therefore, bring forth fruits worthy of repentance. ⁹ And do not think to say within yourselves, We have a father, Abraham. For I say to you that God is able to raise up children to Abraham from these stones. ¹⁰ But already the axe is even laid at the root of the trees; therefore, any tree not bringing forth good fruit is cut down and is thrown into fire. ¹¹ I indeed baptize you in water to repentance; but He who is coming after me is stronger than I, whose sandals I am not fit to carry. He will baptize you in the Holy Spirit and fire, ¹² whose fan is in His hand, and He will cleanse His floor and will gather His wheat into the barn. But He will burn up the chaff with fire that cannot be put out.

² But hearing in the prison of the works of Christ, sending two of his disciples, ³ John said to Him, Are You the One coming, or are we to look for another? ⁴ And answering, Jesus said to them, Going, relate to John what you hear and see: ⁵ The blind receive sight, and the lame walk; lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear; the dead are raised, and the poor are given the gospel. Isa. 61:1 ⁶ And blessed is the one, whoever shall not be offended in Me. ⁷ But as these were going, Jesus began to say to the crowds about John, What did you go out into the wilderness to see? A reed being shaken with the wind? ⁸ But what did you go out to see? A man clothed in soft clothing ? Behold, those wearing soft things are in the houses of kings. ⁹ But what did you go out to see? A prophet? Yes, I say to you, and one more excellent than a prophet. ¹⁰ For this is the one about whom it has been written: "Behold, I send My messenger before Your face, who shall prepare Your way before You." Mal. 3:1 ¹¹ Truly I say to you, Not has arisen among those born of a woman any greater than John the Baptist. But the least in the kingdom of Heaven is greater than he is. ¹² But from the days of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of Heaven suffers violence, and the violent seize it. ¹³ For all the Prophets and the Law prophesied until John. ¹⁴ And if you are willing to receive, he is Elijah, the one about to come. ¹⁵ The one having ears to hear, let him hear. ¹⁶ But to what shall I compare this generation? It is like little children sitting in the markets, and calling to their mates, ¹⁷ and saying, We piped to you, and you did not dance; we mourned to you, and you did not wail. ¹⁸ For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, He has a demon.

²⁴ Indeed, the Son of man goes, as it has been written about Him. But woe to that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed. It were good for him if that man was never born.

² as it has been written in the Prophets, "Behold, I send My messenger before Your face, who will prepare Your way before You; ³ the voice of one crying in the wilderness. Prepare the way of the Lord, make His paths straight." Mal. 3:1; Isa. 40:3 ⁴ John came baptizing in the wilderness and proclaiming a baptism of repentance for remission of sins. ⁵ And all the Judean country and those of Jerusalem went out to him, and were all baptized by him in the Jordan River, confessing their sins. ⁶ And John was clothed in camel's hair, and a leather girdle about his loin, and eating locusts and wild honey. ⁷ And he proclaimed, saying, He who comes after me is mightier than I, of whom I am not fit to stoop down to loosen the thong of His sandals. ⁸ I indeed baptized you in water, but He will baptize you in the Holy Spirit.

¹⁶ And he will turn many of the sons of Israel to the Lord their God. ¹⁷ And he will go out before Him in the spirit and power of Elijah "to turn the hearts of fathers to their children," and disobedient ones to the wisdom of the just, to make ready a people having been prepared for the Lord. Mal. 4:5, 6

⁷⁶ And you, child, will be called Prophet of the Most High, for you will go before the face of the Lord to prepare His ways, Mal. 3:1

² upon the high priesthood of Annas and Caiaphas, the word of God came on John the son of Zacharias in the desert. ³ And he came into the neighborhood of the Jordan proclaiming a baptism of repentance for remission of sins, ⁴ as it has been written in the roll of the words of Isaiah the prophet, saying: " the voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare the way of the Lord, make His paths straight. ⁵ every valley shall be filled up, and every mountain and hill shall be made low; and the crooked places shall be made into straight, and the rough into smooth ways;" ⁶ "and all flesh shall see the salvation of God." Isa. 40:35

¹¹ And having humiliated Him with his soldiery, and mocking Him by putting around Him luxurious clothing, Herod sent Him back to Pilate.

³⁹ And one of the hanged criminals blasphemed Him, saying, If you are the Christ, save yourself and us.

⁶ There was a man sent from God; his name was John. ⁷ He came for a witness, that he might witness concerning the Light, that all might believe through Him. ⁸ He was not that Light, but that he might witness concerning the Light. ⁹ He was the true Light; He enlightens every man coming into the world. ¹⁰ He was in the world, and the world came into being through Him, yet the world did not know Him. ¹¹ He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. ¹² But as many as received Him, to them He gave authority to become children of God, to the ones believing into His name, ¹³ who were born not of bloods, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but were born of God. ¹⁴ And the Word became flesh and tabernacled among us. And we beheld His glory, glory as of an only begotten from the Father, full of grace and of truth. ¹⁵ John witnesses concerning Him, and has cried out, saying, This One was He of whom I said, He coming after me has been before me, for He was preceding me. ¹⁶ And out of His fullness we all received, and grace on top of grace. ¹⁷ For the Law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. ¹⁸ No one has seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, that One reveals Him . ¹⁹ And this is the witness of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites that they might ask him, Who are you? ²⁰ And he acknowledged and did not deny; yea, he acknowledged, I am not the Christ. ²¹ And they asked him, What, then? Are you Elijah? And he said, I am not. Are you the Prophet? And he answered, No. ²² Then they said to him, Who are you, that we may give an answer to those sending us? What do you say about yourself? ²³ He said, "I am a voice crying in the wilderness:" "Make straight" "the way of the Lord," as Isaiah the prophet said. Isa. 40:3 ²⁴ And those who had been sent were of the Pharisees. ²⁵ And they asked him and said to him, Why then do you baptize, if you are not the Christ, nor Elijah, nor the Prophet? ²⁶ John answered them, saying, I baptize in water, but One stands in your midst whom you do not know; ²⁷ This One it is who has come after me, who has been before me, of whom I am not worthy that I should loose the thong of His sandal. ²⁸ These things took place in Bethabara beyond the Jordan, where John was baptizing. ²⁹ On the morrow, John sees Jesus coming toward him and said, Behold! The Lamb of God, taking away the sin of the world! ³⁰ This is He about whom I said, After me comes a Man who has been before me, for He was preceding me. ³¹ And I did not know Him; but that He be revealed to Israel, for this reason I came baptizing in water. ³² And John witnessed, saying, I have seen the Spirit coming down as a dove out of Heaven, and He abode on Him. ³³ And I did not know Him, but the One sending me to baptize in water, that One said to me, On whomever you see the Spirit coming down and abiding on Him, this is the One baptizing in the Holy Spirit. ³⁴ And I have seen and have witnessed that this One is the Son of God. ³⁵ Again on the morrow, John and two from his disciples stood. ³⁶ And looking at Jesus walking, he said, Behold, the Lamb of God!

²⁷ John answered and said, A man is able to receive nothing unless it has been given to him from Heaven. ²⁸ You yourselves witness to me that I said, I am not the Christ, but that having been sent, I am going before that One. ²⁹ The one having the bride is the bridegroom. But the friend of the bridegroom, standing and hearing him, rejoices with joy because of the bridegroom's voice. Then this my joy has been fulfilled. ³⁰ That One must increase, but I must decrease.

³ For seizing John, Herod bound him and put him into prison, because of Herodias, the wife of his brother Philip. ⁴ For John said to him, It is not lawful for you to have her. ⁵ And desiring to kill him, he feared the multitude, because they held him as a prophet. ⁶ But a birthday feast for Herod being held, the daughter of Herodias danced in the midst and pleased Herod. ⁷ So then he promised with an oath to give her whatever she should ask. ⁸ But she being urged on by her mother, she says, Give me here on a platter the head of John the Baptist. ⁹ And the king was grieved, but because of the oaths, and those who had reclined with him, he ordered it to be given. ¹⁰ And sending, he beheaded John in the prison. ¹¹ And his head was brought on a platter and was given to the girl, and she brought it to her mother.

¹⁴ And Herod the king heard, for His name became publicly known. And he said, John the Baptist has been raised from the dead, and because of this the works of power operate in him. ¹⁵ Others said, He is Elijah; and others said, He is a prophet or as one of the prophets. ¹⁶ But hearing, Herod said, This one is John whom I beheaded. He has risen from the dead. ¹⁷ For having sent, Herod himself had seized John and bound him in the prison, because of Herodias the wife of his brother Philip, because he had married her. ¹⁸ For John had said to Herod, It is not lawful for you to have the wife of your brother. ¹⁹ And Herodias held it against him, and desired to kill him, but was not able. ²⁰ For Herod feared John, knowing him to be a holy and just man, and kept him safe. And hearing him, he did many things, and gladly heard from him. ²¹ And a suitable day having come, when Herod made a dinner for his great ones on his birthday, also the chiliarchs, and the first ones of Galilee. ²² And the daughter of Herodias herself entering, and dancing, she also pleased Herod and those reclining with him . The king said to the girl, Ask me whatever you wish, and I will give it to you. ²³ And he swore to her, Whatever you ask me, I will give to you, up to half of my kingdom. ²⁴ And going out, she said to her mother, What shall I ask? And she said, The head of John the Baptist. ²⁵ And immediately going in with haste to the king, she asked, saying, I desire that at once you give to me the head of John the Baptist on a platter. ²⁶ And becoming deeply grieved, but because of the oaths and those reclining together, the king did not wish to reject her. ²⁷ And the king sending a guardsman at once, he ordered his head to be brought. And going, he beheaded him in the prison, ²⁸ and brought his head on a platter and gave it to the girl. And the girl gave it to her mother.

¹⁷ And he will go out before Him in the spirit and power of Elijah "to turn the hearts of fathers to their children," and disobedient ones to the wisdom of the just, to make ready a people having been prepared for the Lord. Mal. 4:5, 6

¹⁹ But Herod the tetrarch, being reproved by him concerning his brother Philip's wife, Herodias, and concerning all the evil things Herod did, ²⁰ he also added this above all, he even shut up John in the prison.

⁵² Which of the prophets did your fathers not persecute? And they killed those who before announced the coming of the Just One, of whom you now have become betrayers and murderers,

¹⁴ And they coming to the crowd, a man came near to Him, kneeling down to Him, and saying, ¹⁵ Lord, pity my son. For he is moonstruck and suffers miserably. For he often falls into the fire, and often into the water. ¹⁶ And I brought him to Your disciples, and they were not able to heal him. ¹⁷ And answering, Jesus said, O faithless and perverted generation! How long will I be with you? How long shall I bear with you? Bring him here to Me. ¹⁸ And Jesus rebuked him, and the demon came out from him; and the boy was healed from that hour. ¹⁹ Then coming up to Jesus privately, the disciples said, Why were we not able to cast him out? ²⁰ And Jesus said to them, Because of your unbelief. For truly I say to you, If you have faith as a grain of mustard, you will say to this mountain, Move from here to there! And it will move. And nothing shall be impossible to you.

⁶ But some of the scribes were sitting there and reasoning in their hearts,

²⁸ And they said to Him, By what authority do you do these things? And who gave you this authority that you do these things?

¹⁴ And coming, they said to Him, Teacher, we know that you are true, and there is not a care to you about anyone, for you do not look to the face of men, but teach on the way of God in truth: Is it lawful to give tribute to Caesar, or not?

³⁷ And it happened on the next day, they coming down from the mountain, a huge crowd met Him. ³⁸ And, behold, a man called aloud from the crowd, saying, Teacher, I beg You to look at my son, because he is my only born. ³⁹ And, behold, a spirit takes him, and he suddenly cries out, and it throws him into convulsions, with foaming. And it departs from him with pain, bruising him. ⁴⁰ And I begged Your disciples, that they cast it out. And they were not able. ⁴¹ And answering, Jesus said, O unbelieving and having been perverted generation, how long shall I be with you and endure you? Bring your son here. ⁴² But as he was yet coming up, the demon tore him and violently convulsed him . But Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit and healed the child, and gave him back to his father.

⁵³ And as He was saying these things to them, the scribes and the Pharisees began to be terribly angry, and to draw Him out concerning many things, ⁵⁴ lying in ambush for Him, and seeking to catch something out of His mouth that they might accuse Him.

³ For consider Him who had endured such gainsaying of sinners against Himself, that you do not grow weary, fainting in your souls.

³⁰ And Aaron and all the sons of Israel saw Moses. And, behold! The skin of his face had become luminous. And they were afraid to draw near to him.

² And after six days Jesus takes along Peter and James and John, and leads them into a high mount apart, alone. And He was transfigured before them. ³ And His garments became shining, very white like snow, such as a fuller on earth is not able to whiten.

¹¹ And the Pharisees went out and began to argue with Him, seeking from Him a sign from Heaven, tempting Him.

³⁰ And their scribes and the Pharisees murmured at His disciples, saying, Why do you eat and drink with tax collectors and sinners? ³¹ And answering, Jesus said to them, Those who are sound have no need of a physician, but those who have illness. ³² I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

²² Then one having been demon-possessed was brought to Him, blind and dumb. And He healed him, so that the blind and dumb one could both speak and see.

¹⁵ Lord, pity my son. For he is moonstruck and suffers miserably. For he often falls into the fire, and often into the water.

²³ And he begged Him very much, saying, My daughter is at the last end. I pray that You will come and lay hands on her, that she may be cured and live.

²⁶ And the woman was a Greek, a Syro-phenocian by race. And she asked Him, that He would cast out the demon from her daughter.

²⁵ And seeing that a crowd is running together, Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to it, Dumb and deaf spirit, I command you, Come out from him, and you may no more go into him!

¹³ And they brought children to Him, that He might touch them. But the disciples rebuked those carrying them .

³⁸ And, behold, a man called aloud from the crowd, saying, Teacher, I beg You to look at my son, because he is my only born.

¹⁴ And He was casting out a demon, and it was dumb. And it happened as the demon was going out, the dumb one spoke. And the crowds marveled.

⁴⁷ Hearing that Jesus was coming from Judea into Galilee, this one went out to Him and asked Him that He would come and heal his son, for he was about to die.

²⁹ And he said to Gehazi, Gird up your loins and take my staff in your hand, and go. When you meet a man, you shall not greet him. And when a man shall greet you, you shall not answer him. And you shall lay my staff on the face of the boy. ³⁰ And the mother of the boy said, As Jehovah lives, and your soul lives, I will not leave you. And he rose up and went after her. ³¹ And Gehazi passed on before them, and laid the staff on the face of the boy. But there was no voice, and there was no hearing. And he turned back to meet him, and told him, saying, The boy has not awakened.

⁹ His anger has torn, and hated me; He gnashes at me with His teeth; my enemy sharpens His eyes at me.

¹⁰ The wicked shall see and be vexed; he shall gnash his teeth and melt; the desire of the wicked shall perish.

¹² but the sons of the kingdom shall be cast out into the outer darkness. There shall be weeping and gnashing of the teeth.

²² And, behold, a woman of Canaan coming forth from those borders cried out to Him, saying, Have pity on me, Lord, Son of David! My daughter is vilely demon-possessed.

¹⁶ And I brought him to Your disciples, and they were not able to heal him.

²⁰ And they brought him to Him. And seeing Him, the spirit immediately convulsed him. And falling on the ground, he wallowed, foaming.

²⁶ And crying out, and convulsing him very much, it came out. And he became as if dead, so as for many to say that he died.

²⁸ And He entering into a house, His disciples questioned Him privately, Why were we not able to cast it out? ²⁹ And He said to them, This kind can go out by nothing except by prayer and fasting.

²³ For truly I say to you, Whoever says to this mountain, Be taken up and be thrown into the sea, and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will happen, it will be to him, whatever he says.

³⁹ And, behold, a spirit takes him, and he suddenly cries out, and it throws him into convulsions, with foaming. And it departs from him with pain, bruising him. ⁴⁰ And I begged Your disciples, that they cast it out. And they were not able.

⁵⁴ And hearing these things, they were cut to their hearts and gnashed the teeth on him.

¹³ wild waves of the sea foaming up their shames, wandering stars for whom blackness of darkness has been kept forever.

¹¹ And Jehovah said to Moses, How long will this people despise Me? And How long will they continue not to believe in Me, for all the signs which I have done in its midst?

²² for all the men who are seeing My glory, and My miracles which I have done in Egypt and in the wilderness, and have tried Me these ten times, and have not listened to My voice,

²⁷ Until when shall I bear with this evil company who are murmuring against Me? I have heard the murmurings of the sons of Israel which they are murmuring against Me.

¹³ And Jehovah's anger glowed against Israel. And He made them wander in the wilderness forty years, until all the generation that had done evil in the eyes of Jehovah was destroyed. ¹⁴ And, behold, you have risen up in your fathers' stead. an increase of sinful men, to add still more to the heat of Jehovah toward Israel!

²⁰ And He said, I will hide My face from them; I will see what their end will be; for they are a perverse generation, sons in whom is no faithfulness.

⁶ So that a coming generation may know; sons shall be born; they shall rise up and tell their sons, ⁷ so that they might set their hope in God, and not forget the works of God, but keep His commandments. ⁸ And they shall not be like their fathers, a stubborn and rebellious generation, a generation that prepared not its heart; yea, whose spirit was not faithful with God.

²² because they did not believe in God and trusted not in His salvation.

²¹ They forgot God their deliverer, doing great things in Egypt; ²² wonders in the land of Ham; awesome things by the Sea of Reeds. ²³ And He said to destroy them; except Moses His chosen one had stood before Him in the breach, to turn away His wrath from destroying them . ²⁴ They despised the pleasant land; they did not believe His word. ²⁵ And they murmured in their tents, not listening to the voice of Jehovah;

¹⁷ And answering, Jesus said, O faithless and perverted generation! How long will I be with you? How long shall I bear with you? Bring him here to Me.

¹⁴ Afterward, as they reclined, He was revealed to the Eleven. And He reproached their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe those who had seen Him, having been raised.

⁴¹ And answering, Jesus said, O unbelieving and having been perverted generation, how long shall I be with you and endure you? Bring your son here.

²⁵ And He said to them, O foolish ones, and slow of heart to believe on all things which the prophets spoke!

²⁷ And My soul is troubled, and what may I say? Father, save Me out of this hour? But on this account I came to this hour.

²⁷ Then He said to Thomas, Bring your finger here and see My hands, and bring your hand and thrust into My side, and be not unbelieving, but believing.

¹⁰ Because of this, I was angry with that generation and said, They always go astray in heart; and they did not know My ways; ¹¹ so I swore in My wrath, They shall not enter into My rest." LXX-Psa. 94:7-11; MT-Psa. 95:7-11 ¹² Watch, brothers, lest perhaps shall be in any one of you an evil heart of unbelief in withdrawing from the living God.

¹⁰ Have You not made a hedge for him, and for his house, and for all that is his all around? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his livestock have increased in the land. ¹¹ But put out Your hand now, and touch against all that is his, and see if he will not then curse You to Your face. ¹² And Jehovah said to Satan, Behold, all that is his is in your hand! Only, do not lay your hand on him. And Satan went out from the face of Jehovah.

⁶ And Jehovah said to Satan, Behold, He is in your hand; but preserve his life. ⁷ And Satan went out from before the face of Jehovah. And he struck Job with bad burning ulcers from the sole of his foot to the top of his head. ⁸ And he took a broken piece of pottery with which to scrape himself. And he sat down among the ashes.

²⁶ And the unclean spirit convulsing him, and crying out with a loud voice, he came out of him.

³ who had his abode among the tombs; and no one was able to bind him, not even with chains. ⁴ Because he had often been bound with fetters and chains, and the chains had been torn by him, and the fetters had been shattered. And no one was able to subdue him. ⁵ And continually night and day in the hills, and in the tombs, he was crying and cutting himself with stones.

¹⁸ And wherever it seizes him, it dashes him; and he foams and gnashes his teeth. And he wastes away. And I told Your disciples, that they might expel it. And they were not able.

³⁵ And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Be silent, and come out from him! And throwing him into the midst, the demon came out from him, not harming him.

²⁹ For He charged the unclean spirit to come out of the man. For many times it had seized him, and he was bound with chains and fetters, being guarded. And tearing apart the bonds, he was driven by the demons into the deserted places .

⁴² But as he was yet coming up, the demon tore him and violently convulsed him . But Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit and healed the child, and gave him back to his father.

⁴⁴ You are of the Devil as father, and the lusts of your father you desire to do. That one was a murderer from the beginning, and he has not stood in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own, because he is a liar, and the father of it.

⁸ Be sensible, watch, because your adversary the Devil walks about as a roaring lion seeking someone he may devour;

⁷ for man is born to trouble, and the sons of the flame rise, flying upward .

¹ Man born of woman is short of days, and full of turmoil.

⁵ Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin my mother conceived me.

²⁵ And a certain woman being with a flow of blood twelve years,

⁴³ And a woman being in a flow of blood from twelve years, who had spent her whole living on physicians, and could not be cured by anyone,

¹⁶ And this one being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has bound, lo, eighteen years, ought she not to be freed from this bond on the sabbath day?

⁵ But a certain man was there, being in infirmity thirty eight years. ⁶ Seeing him lying, and knowing that he had already spent much time, Jesus said to him, Do you desire to become well?

¹ And passing by, He saw a man blind from birth.

²⁰ His parents answered them and said, We know that this is our son, and that he was born blind. ²¹ But how he now sees, we do not know; or who opened his eyes, we do not know. He is of age, ask him. He will speak about himself.

² And a certain man, being lame from his mother's womb, was being carried, whom day by day they put at the door of the temple, being called Beautiful, to ask alms from those going into the temple;

²² For the man on whom this miracle of healing had occurred was more than forty years of age .

³³ And he found there a certain man named Aeneas who had been lying on a mattress eight years, who was paralyzed.

⁸ And a certain man was sitting in Lystra, powerless in the feet, being lame from his mother's womb, who had never walked.

² And behold, coming up, a leper worshiped Him, saying, Lord, If You will, You are able to cleanse me.

⁸ And answering, the centurion said, Lord, I am not worthy that You should enter under my roof, but only speak a word and my boy will be healed. ⁹ For I am also a man under authority, having soldiers under myself. And I say to this one, Go; and he goes; and to another, Come; and he comes; and to my slave, Do this; and he does it .

²⁸ And coming into the house, the blind ones came near to Him. And Jesus said to them, Do you believe that I am able to do this? And they said to Him, Yes, Lord.

³¹ And immediately stretching out the hand, Jesus took hold of him, and said to him, Little-faith, why did you doubt?

²² And, behold, a woman of Canaan coming forth from those borders cried out to Him, saying, Have pity on me, Lord, Son of David! My daughter is vilely demon-possessed. ²³ But He did not answer her a word. And coming near, His disciples asked Him, saying, Send her away, for she cries out after us. ²⁴ But answering, He said, I was not sent except to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. ²⁵ But coming, she worshiped Him, saying, Lord, help me! ²⁶ But answering, He said, It is not good to take the bread of the children to throw it to the little dogs. ²⁷ But she said, Yes, Lord; for even the little dogs eat of the crumbs falling from the table of their lords. ²⁸ Then answering, Jesus said to her, O woman, your faith is great; let it be to you as you desire. And her daughter was healed from that hour.

³⁴ And moved with pity, Jesus touched their eyes. And instantly their eyes received sight, and they followed Him.

⁴⁰ And a leper came to Him, begging Him, and falling on his knees to Him, and saying to Him, If You will, You are able to make me clean. ⁴¹ And being moved with pity, reaching out the hand, Jesus touched him, and said to him, I am willing. Be made clean! ⁴² And He having spoken, instantly the leprosy departed from him, and he was made clean.

¹⁹ But Jesus did not allow him, but said to him, Go to your house, to your own, and announce to them what the Lord has done to you and had mercy on you.

¹³ And seeing her, the Lord felt pity over her and said to her, Stop weeping.

²⁰ And they rose early in the morning and went out to the wilderness of Tekoa; and as they went out Jehoshaphat stood and said, Hear me, O Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem. Believe in Jehovah your God, and be steadfast; believe in His prophets and prosper.

²⁰ And Jesus said to them, Because of your unbelief. For truly I say to you, If you have faith as a grain of mustard, you will say to this mountain, Move from here to there! And it will move. And nothing shall be impossible to you.

²¹ And answering, Jesus said to them, Truly I say to you, If you have faith and do not doubt, not only will you do the miracle of the fig tree, but even if you should say to this mountain, Be taken up and thrown into the sea, it will be so. ²² And all things, whatever you may ask in prayer, believing, you shall receive.

⁶ But the Lord said, If you had faith as a grain of mustard, you may say to this sycamine tree, Be rooted up and be planted in the sea! And it would obey you.

⁴⁸ Then Jesus said to him, Unless you see signs and wonders, you will not at all believe. ⁴⁹ The nobleman said to Him, Sir, come down before my child dies. ⁵⁰ Jesus said to him, Go! Your son lives. And the man believed the word which Jesus said to him, and went away.

⁴⁰ Jesus said to her, Did I not say to you that if you would believe you will see the glory of God?

⁹ This one heard Paul speaking, who, looking intently at him, and seeing that he had faith to be cured,

⁶ But without faith it is impossible to please God . For it is right that the one drawing near to God should believe that He is, and that He becomes a rewarder to the ones seeking Him out.

¹² It may be Jehovah will look on my affliction, and Jehovah will return good to me for his cursing this day.

⁵ Return, and you shall say to Hezekiah the leader of My people, So says Jehovah, the God of your father David, I have heard your prayer; I have seen your tears; behold, I will heal you; you shall go up to the house of Jehovah the third day.

¹² Hear my prayer, O Jehovah, and give ear to my cry. Do not be silent at my tears, for I am an alien with You, a pilgrim, as were all my fathers.

⁵ Those who sow in tears shall reap with joyful shouting.

¹⁷ And you shall speak this word to them: Let my eyes run down with tears night and day, and do not let them cease. For the virgin daughter of my people is broken with a great break, with a very grievous blow.

³⁸ and standing at His feet, weeping behind Him, she began to wash His feet with tears. And she was wiping with the hairs of her head. And she ardently kissed His feet and was anointing them with the ointment.

⁴⁴ And turning to the woman, He said to Simon, Do you see this woman? I came into your house. You did not give water for My feet, but she washed My feet with tears and wiped off with the hairs of her head.

⁵ And the apostles said to the Lord, Give us more faith.

¹⁹ And as Peter pondered concerning the vision, the Spirit said to him, Behold, three men are seeking you.

³¹ And he said, Cornelius, your prayer was heard and your alms were remembered before God.

⁴ For out of much affliction and agony of heart I wrote to you, through many tears, not that you be grieved, but that you know the love which I have more abundantly toward you.

⁸ For by grace you are saved, through faith, and this not of yourselves; it is the gift of God;

²⁹ because it was granted to you on behalf of Christ not only to believe in Him, but also to suffer on His behalf,

³ Brothers, we are bound to give thanks to God always concerning you, even as it is right, because your faith grows exceedingly, and the love of each one of you multiplies toward one another,

¹¹ For which we also continually pray concerning you, that our God would count you worthy of the calling, and would fulfill all the good pleasure of His goodness, and work of faith in power,

⁴ longing to see you, being reminded of your tears, that I may be filled with joy,

⁷ who in the days of His flesh was offering both petitions and entreaties to Him being able to save Him from death, with strong crying and tears, and being heard from His godly fear;

² looking to the Author and Finisher of our faith, Jesus, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, "and sat down at the right" of the throne of God. Psa. 110:1

¹⁷ for you know also that afterwards desiring to inherit the blessing, he was rejected, for he found no place of repentance, although seeking it with tears. Gen. 27:36-39

⁵ Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf opened. ⁶ Then the lame shall leap like a deer, and the tongue of the dumb shall sing. For waters shall break out in the wilderness, and streams in the desert.

² And Jehovah said to Satan, Jehovah rebuke you, Satan! And, Jehovah who has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you! Is this not a brand plucked out of the fire?

³² And as they were going out, behold, they brought to Him a dumb man who had been possessed by a demon. ³³ And the demon being cast out, the dumb one spoke. And the crowds marveled, saying, Never was it seen this way in Israel.

¹⁸ And Jesus rebuked him, and the demon came out from him; and the boy was healed from that hour.

²⁵ And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Be quiet, and come out of him. ²⁶ And the unclean spirit convulsing him, and crying out with a loud voice, he came out of him. ²⁷ And all were astonished, so as to discuss to themselves, saying, What is this? What new teaching is this, that He commands even the unclean spirits with authority, and they obey Him?

⁷ And crying with a loud voice, he said, What is to me and to You, Jesus, Son of the most high God? I adjure You by God, do not torment me. ⁸ For He said to him, Unclean spirit, come out of the man!

¹⁵ And at once all the crowd seeing Him were greatly amazed. And running up, they greeted Him.

⁴¹ And also demons came out from many, crying out and saying, You are the Christ, the Son of God! And rebuking them, He did not allow them to speak, for they knew Him to be the Christ.

¹⁸ And she did this over many days. But becoming distressed, and turning to the demonic spirit, Paul said, In the name of Jesus Christ I command you to come out from her! And it came out in that same hour.

⁹ But Michael the archangel, when contending with the Devil, he argued about the body of Moses; he dared not bring a judgment of blasphemy, but said, "Let the Lord rebuke you!" Zech. 3:2

²³ And since I came in to Pharaoh to speak in Your name, he has done evil to this people. And You did not certainly deliver your people.

¹² Because of this, be glad, the heavens and those tabernacling in them. Woe to the ones dwelling on the earth, and in the sea, because the Devil came down to you having great anger, knowing that he has a little time!

¹³ For I, Jehovah your God am strengthening your right hand; who says to you, Do not fear; I will help you.

³¹ And coming near, He raised her up, holding her hand. And the fever left her instantly, and she served them.

⁴¹ And being moved with pity, reaching out the hand, Jesus touched him, and said to him, I am willing. Be made clean!

⁴¹ And taking hold of the child's hand, He said to her, Talitha koumi; which is, being translated, Little girl, I say to you, Rise up!

²³ And laying hold of the blind one's hand, He led him forth outside the village. And spitting into his eyes, laying His hands on him, He asked him if he saw anything.

⁷ And taking him by the right hand, he raised him up. And immediately his feet and ankle-bones were made firm.

⁴¹ And giving her a hand he raised her up. And calling the saints and the widows he presented her living.

¹⁰ And coming near, the disciples said to Him, Why do You speak to them in parables?

³⁶ Then sending away the crowds, Jesus came into the house. And His disciples came to Him, saying, Explain to us the parable of the darnel of the field.

¹⁰ And when He was alone, those around Him, with the Twelve, asked Him as to the parable.

³⁴ But He did not speak to them without a parable. And He explained all things to His disciples privately.

¹⁷ And when He entered into a house from the crowd, His disciples questioned Him about the parable.

²⁰ And he cried to Jehovah and said, Jehovah my God, have You also brought evil on the widow with whom I am staying, by slaying her son? ²¹ And he stretched himself on the child three times, and called to Jehovah and said, O Jehovah my God, I beg You, let the soul of this boy return to him. ²² And Jehovah listened to the voice of Elijah, and the soul of the boy returned to him, and he lived.

³³ And he went in and shut the door on both of them, and prayed to Jehovah. ³⁴ And he went up and lay down on the boy, and put his mouth on his mouth, and his eyes on his eyes, and his hands on his hands, and stretched himself on him. And the flesh of the boy became warm.

³ And I set my face toward the Lord God, to seek by prayer and holy desires, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes.

⁴⁵ Then he goes and takes with him seven other spirits more evil than himself, and entering dwells there. And the last things of that man become worse than the first. So it will be also to this evil generation.

⁵ in stripes, in imprisonments, in riots, in labors, in watchings, in fastings,

²⁷ in hardship and toil, often in watchings, in hunger and thirst, often in fastings, in cold and nakedness,

⁸ Beyond this I entreated the Lord three times, that it depart from me.

¹⁸ through all prayer and petition, praying at every time in the Spirit, and watching to this same thing with all perseverance and petition concerning all the saints.

¹⁵ And the prayer of faith will cure those being sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he may have committed sin, it will be forgiven him.

²² And while they were staying in Galilee, Jesus said to them, The Son of man is about to be delivered into the hands of men. ²³ And they will kill Him, and on the third day He will be raised. And they grieved exceedingly.

²² Pilate said to them, What then should I do to Jesus called Christ? They all said to him, Let him be crucified. ²³ But the governor said, For what wrong did he do? But they the more cried out, saying, Let him be crucified.

³¹ And He said to them, You yourselves come apart into a deserted place, and rest a little. For those coming and those going were many, and they did not even have opportunity to eat. ³² And they departed by boat into a deserted place apart.

⁴³ And all were astonished at the majesty of God. And as all were marveling at all things which He did, Jesus said to His disciples, ⁴⁴ You lay into your ears these sayings, for the Son of man is about to be betrayed into the hands of men. ⁴⁵ But they did not understand this saying, and it was veiled from them so that they might not perceive it. And they feared to ask Him about this word.

¹⁸ Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of man will be betrayed to the chief priests and scribes. And they will condemn Him to death. ¹⁹ And they will deliver Him up to the nations to mock, and to scourge, and to crucify. And the third day He will rise again.

²⁸ Even as the Son of man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.

³⁸ But seeing the son, the vinedressers said among themselves, This is the heir. Come, let us kill him and get hold of his inheritance. ³⁹ And taking him, they threw him out of the vineyard and killed him .

² You know that the Passover is coming after two days, and the Son of man is betrayed to be crucified.

³¹ And He began to teach them that it is necessary for the Son of man to suffer many things and to be rejected of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and to be killed, and after three days to rise again.

¹² And answering, He said to them, Indeed, Elijah coming first restores all things. And how it has been written of the Son of man that He suffer many things and be despised!

⁴⁴ You lay into your ears these sayings, for the Son of man is about to be betrayed into the hands of men.

³¹ And taking the Twelve, He said to them, Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and all things will be fulfilled which have been written through the prophets to the Son of man. ³² For He will be delivered up to the nations, and will be mocked, and will be insulted, and will be spat upon. ³³ And flogging Him, they will kill Him. And on the third day He will rise again.

²⁶ Was it not necessary for the Christ to suffer these things, and to enter into His glory?

⁴⁴ And He said to them, These are the words which I spoke to you yet being with you, that must be fulfilled all the things having been written in the Law of Moses, and the Prophets, and the Psalms, concerning Me. ⁴⁵ Then He opened up their mind to understand the Scriptures, ⁴⁶ and said to them, So it is written, and so the Christ must suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day. ¹⁹ Jesus said to them, Destroy this sanctuary, and in three days I will raise it up.

¹⁴ And even as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of man be lifted up,

¹⁸ No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down from Myself. I have authority to lay it down, and I have authority to take it again. I received this commandment from My Father.

²³ this One given to you by the before-determined counsel and foreknowledge of God, you having taken by lawless hands, having crucified Him, you put Him to death. ²⁴ But God raised Him up, loosing the throes of death, because it was not possible for Him to be held by it.

²⁷ For truly both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the nations and the peoples of Israel, were gathered together against Your holy child Jesus, whom You anointed, ²⁸ to do whatever Your hand and Your counsel before-determined to be done.

¹² if we endure, we shall also reign with Him; if we deny Him, that One will deny us;

¹⁸ And He said to them, Are you also so undiscerning? Do you not perceive that all that enters from the outside into the man is not able to defile him?

³³ But turning around and seeing His disciples, He rebuked Peter, saying, Go behind Me, Satan, because you do not mind the things of God, but the things of men.

¹⁰ And they held the word to themselves, debating what it is to rise from the dead.

⁵⁰ And they did not understand the word which He spoke to them.

⁴⁵ But they did not understand this saying, and it was veiled from them so that they might not perceive it. And they feared to ask Him about this word.

³⁴ And they did not understand these things, nothing! And this saying had been hidden from them, and they did not know the things being said.

⁴⁵ Then He opened up their mind to understand the Scriptures,

²⁷ And on this, His disciples came and marveled that He was speaking with a woman. However, no one said, What do you seek? Or, Why do You speak with her?

¹⁹ Then Jesus knew that they desired to ask Him. And He said to them, Do you seek answers with one another concerning this, because I said, A little while, and you do not see Me; and again a little and you will see Me?

²⁴ And they coming into Capernaum, those receiving the didrachmas came to Peter and said, Does your teacher not pay the didrachmas?

¹ In that hour the disciples came to Jesus, saying, Who then is greater in the kingdom of Heaven? ² And having called forward a little child, Jesus set him in their midst. ³ And He said, Truly I say to you, Unless you convert and become as the little children, not at all can you enter into the kingdom of Heaven. ⁴ Then whoever will humble himself as this little child, this one is the greater in the kingdom of Heaven. ⁵ And whoever will receive one such little child in My name receives Me.

⁸ And instantly knowing in His spirit that they reasoned this way within themselves, Jesus said to them, Why do you reason these things in your hearts?

⁴⁶ But an argument came in among them, who might be the greater of them. ⁴⁷ And seeing the argument of their heart, taking a child, Jesus stood it beside Himself, ⁴⁸ and said to them, Whoever receives this child on My name receives Me. And whoever receives Me receives Him who sent Me. For the one being least among you all, this one shall be great.

²⁵ and because He had no need that anyone should witness concerning man, for He knew what was in man.

¹⁷ Thirdly, He said to him, Simon son of Jonah, do you love Me? Peter was grieved that He said to him a third time, Do you love Me? And he said to him, Lord, You perceive all things, You know that I love You! Jesus said to him, Feed My sheep!

¹³ and there is no creature unrevealed before Him; but all things are naked and laid open to His eyes, with whom is our account.

²³ And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches will know that I am the One searching the inner parts and hearts. And I will give to each of you according to your works.

⁵⁰ Salt is good, but if the salt becomes saltless, by what will you season? Have salt in yourselves and be at peace with one another.

²⁴ And there was also a dispute among them, who of them seems to be greater. ²⁵ And He said to them, The kings of the nations lord it over them, and those exercising authority over them are called benefactors. ²⁶ But you be not so, but the greater among you, let him be as the lesser; and the one governing as the one serving. ²⁷ For who is greater, the one serving, or the one reclining? Is it not the one reclining? ¹⁰ in brotherly love to one another, loving fervently, having gone before one another in honor;

³ doing nothing according to party spirit or self-glory, but in humility, esteeming one another to surpass themselves; ⁴ each not looking at their own things, but each also at the things of others. ⁵ For let this mind be in you which also was in Christ Jesus, ⁶ who subsisting in the form of God thought it not robbery to be equal with God, ⁷ but emptied Himself, taking the form of a slave, having become in the likeness of men

³ nor as exercising lordship over the ones allotted to you, but becoming examples of the flock.

⁹ I wrote to the church, but he loving to be first of them, Diotrephes, does not receive us.

¹⁰ Argument only comes by pride, but wisdom is with those who take advice.

⁵ And do you seek great things for yourself? Do not seek them . For, behold, I will bring evil on all flesh, declares Jehovah. But I will give your soul to you for a prize, there on all the places where you go.

¹⁰ But when you are invited, going in, recline at the last place, so that when he who has invited you may come, he may say to you, Friend, go up higher. Then glory will be to you before those reclining with you. ¹¹ For everyone exalting himself will be humbled, and the one humbling himself will be exalted.

¹⁴ I say to you, this one went down to his house having been justified, rather than that one. For everyone exalting himself will be humbled. And the one humbling himself will be exalted.

²⁶ But you be not so, but the greater among you, let him be as the lesser; and the one governing as the one serving.

⁴⁰ And answering, the King will say to them, Truly I say to you, Inasmuch as you did it to one of these, the least of My brothers, you did it to Me.

⁴⁸ and said to them, Whoever receives this child on My name receives Me. And whoever receives Me receives Him who sent Me. For the one being least among you all, this one shall be great.

¹⁶ The one hearing you hears Me, and the one rejecting you also rejects Me, and the one rejecting Me also rejects the One having sent Me.

²³ so that all may honor the Son, even as they honor the Father. The one not honoring the Son does not honor the Father who has sent Him.

⁸ Therefore, the one that despises does not despise man, but God, even He giving His Holy Spirit to us.

²⁶ And two of the men were left in the camp, the name of the one being Eldad, and the name of the second Medad; and the spirit rested on them, and they were among those written, but did not go out to the tabernacle And they prophesied in the camp. ²⁷ And a young man ran and told Moses, and said, Eldad and Medad are prophesying in the camp. ²⁸ And Joshua the son of Nun, minister to Moses, of his young men, answered and said, My lord Moses, stop them. ²⁹ And Moses said to him, Are you jealous for my sake? Oh that all Jehovah's people were prophets, that Jehovah would put His spirit on them!

⁴⁹ And answering, John said, Master, we saw someone casting out demons on Your name, and we forbade him because he does not follow with us. ⁵⁰ And Jesus said to them, Do not forbid, for whoever is not against us is for us.

¹⁹ And if I cast out the demons by Beelzebub, by whom do your sons cast out? Because of this they shall be your judges.

²² Many will say to Me in that day, Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name do many works of power? ²³ And then I will declare to them, I never knew you; "depart from Me, those working lawlessness!" Psa. 6:8

²⁸ And he said to them, A man, an enemy did this. And the slaves said to him, Do you desire, then, that going out we should gather them? ²⁹ But he said, No, lest gathering the darnel you should uproot the wheat with them.

¹³ And they brought children to Him, that He might touch them. But the disciples rebuked those carrying them . ¹⁴ But seeing, Jesus was indignant. And He said to them, Allow the children to come to Me, and do not hinder them. For of such is the kingdom of God.

¹³ But certain from the strolling Jews, exorcists, undertook to name the name of the Lord Jesus over those having evil spirits, saying, We adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preaches. ¹⁴ And there were seven sons of Sceva, a Jewish chief priest, doing this. ¹⁵ But answering the evil spirit said, I know Jesus, and I comprehend Paul, but who are you? ¹⁶ And the man in whom was the evil spirit leaped on them, and overcoming them, he was strong against them, and having been wounded, they fled out of the house naked.

³ Because of this I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God says, Jesus is a curse. And no one is able to say Jesus is Lord, except by the Holy Spirit.

¹ If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but I do not have love, I have become as sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. ² And if I have prophecies, and know all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith so as to move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.

¹⁸ For what? Yet in every way, whether in pretense or in truth, Christ is announced, and I rejoice in this; yet also I will rejoice.

³⁰ The one who is not with Me is against Me, and the one who does not gather with Me scatters.

²³ The one not being with Me is against Me. And the one not gathering with me scatters.

⁴² And whoever gives only a cup of cold water to drink to one of these little ones in the name of a disciple, truly I say to you, In no way will he lose his reward.

²⁵ And His mother, and His mother's sister Mary, the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene stood by the cross of Jesus. ²⁶ Then seeing His mother, and the disciple whom He loved standing by, Jesus said to His mother, Woman, behold your son! ²⁷ Then He said to the disciple, Behold, your mother! And from that hour, the disciple took her into his own home .

⁹ But you are not in flesh, but in Spirit, since the Spirit of God dwells in you. But if anyone has not the Spirit of Christ, this one is not His.

¹⁵ But if your brother is grieved because of your food, you no longer walk according to love. Do not by your food destroy that one for whom Christ died.

²³ and you are Christ's, and Christ is God's.

²³ But each in his own order: Christ, the firstfruit, afterward those of Christ at His coming.

⁷ Do you look at things according to appearance? If anyone has persuaded himself to be of Christ, let him think this again as to himself, that as he is of Christ, so also we are of Christ.

²⁹ And if you are of Christ, then you are a seed of Abraham, even heirs according to promise.

²⁴ But the ones belonging to Christ crucified the flesh with its passions and lusts.

⁶ But whoever causes one of these little ones believing in Me to offend, it is better for him that a millstone turned by an ass be hung on his neck, and he be sunk in the depth of the sea.

⁴⁵ Then He will answer them, saying, Truly I say to you, Inasmuch as you did not do it to one of these, the least, neither did you do it to Me. ⁴⁶ And these shall go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into everlasting life.

¹ And He said to the disciples, It is impossible that the offenses should not come, but woe to him by whom they come! ² It is profitable for him if a millstone turned by an ass is put around his neck, and he be thrown into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones.

⁴ And falling on the earth he heard a voice saying to him, Saul, Saul! Why do you persecute Me?

¹¹ And often punishing them through all the synagogues, I compelled them to blaspheme. And being exceedingly furious against them, I even persecuted as far as the outside cities. ¹² In which also traveling to Damascus with authority and decision power from the chief priests, ¹³ at midday along the highway, O king, I and those with me saw a light from heaven shining around me above the brightness of the sun. ¹⁴ And all of us falling to the ground, I heard a voice speaking to me, and saying in the Hebrew dialect, Saul, Saul why do you persecute Me? It is hard for you to kick against the prods.

¹³ Then let us no longer judge one another, but rather judge this, not to put a stumbling-block or an offense toward a brother.

²¹ but even as it has been written, "They shall see, to whom nothing was announced concerning Him; and the ones that have not heard shall understand." Isa. 52:15

¹⁷ And brothers I exhort you to watch those making divisions and causes of stumbling contrary to the doctrine which you learned, and turn away from them.

¹⁰ For if anyone sees you, the one having knowledge, sitting in an idol-temple, will not the weak one's conscience be lifted up so as to eat things sacrificed to idols? ¹¹ And on your knowledge the weak brother will fall, he for whom Christ died. ¹² And sinning in this way against your brothers, and wounding their conscience, being weak, you sin against Christ. ¹³ On account of this, if food offends my brother, I will not at all eat flesh forever, so that I do not offend my brother.

³² Be without offense both to Jews and Greeks, and to the church of God. ³³ Even as I also please all in all things, not seeking my own advantage, but that of the many, that they may be saved.

³ We are not giving a cause of stumbling, in nothing, that the ministry may not be blamed,

¹⁰ for you to distinguish the things that differ, that you may be sincere and without blame for the day of Christ,

⁶ since it is a just thing with God to pay back tribulation to the ones troubling you, ⁷ and to give you, those being troubled, relief with us at the revelation of the Lord Jesus from Heaven with angels of His power, ⁸ in flaming fire giving full vengeance to those not knowing God, and to those not obeying the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, Isa. 66:15; Jer. 10:25 ⁹ who will pay the penalty: everlasting destruction from the face of the Lord, "and from the glory of His strength," Isa. 2:20

¹⁴ Therefore, I desire the young women to marry, to bear children, to rule the house, giving no occasion to the adversary on account of reproach.

² And many will follow their destructive ways, by whom the way of truth will be evil spoken of.

⁹ And when He opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those having been slain for the word of God, and for the witness which they had. ¹⁰ And they cried with a great voice, saying, Until when, holy and true Master, do You not judge and take vengeance for our blood, from those dwelling on the earth?

⁶ since they poured out the blood of the saints and of the prophets; and You gave blood to them to drink, for they were deserving. ⁷ And I heard another out of the altar saying, Yes, Lord God Almighty, Your judgments are true and righteous.

⁶ If your brother, your mother's son, or your son, or your daughter, or the wife of your bosom, or your friend who is as your own soul, shall entice you secretly, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which you have not known, you and your fathers, ⁷ of the gods of the people around you, those near you or far off from you, from one end of the earth even to the other end of the earth, ⁸ you shall not consent to him, nor listen to him, nor shall your eye have pity on him, nor shall you spare nor hide him.

¹² whose fan is in His hand, and He will cleanse His floor and will gather His wheat into the barn. But He will burn up the chaff with fire that cannot be put out.

²² But I say to you, Everyone who is angry with his brother without a cause shall be liable to the Judgment. And whoever says to his brother, Raca, shall be liable to the sanhedrin; but whoever says, Fool! shall be liable to be thrown into the fire of Hell.

²⁹ But if your right eye offends you, take it out and throw it from you, for it is profitable to you that one of your members should perish and all your body not be thrown into Hell. ³⁰ And if your right hand causes you to offend, cut it off and throw it from you, for it is profitable to you that one of your members should perish and all your body not be thrown into Hell.

³⁰ And great crowds came to Him, having with them lame ones, blind, dumb, maimed, and many others. And they flung them down at the feet of Jesus. And He healed them; ³¹ so that the crowds marveled, seeing the dumb speaking, the maimed sound, the lame walking, and the blind seeing. And they glorified the God of Israel.

⁸ And if your hand or your foot offends you, cut it off and throw it from you; it is good for you to enter into life lame or maimed, than having two hands or two feet to be thrown into the everlasting fire. ⁹ And if your eye offends you, pluck it out and throw it from you; for it is good for you to enter into life one eyed, than having two eyes to be thrown into the Hell of fire.

⁴¹ Then He will also say to those on His left, Go away from Me, cursed ones, into the everlasting fire having been prepared for the Devil and his angels.

⁴⁵ And if your foot causes you to offend, cut it off, for it is profitable for you to enter into life lame, than having two feet to be thrown into Hell, into the fire that cannot be put out, ⁴⁶ where their worm does not die, and the fire is not put out. ⁴⁷ And if your eye offends you, cast it out. For it is profitable for you to enter into the kingdom of God one-eyed, than having two eyes to be thrown into the Hell of fire, ⁴⁸ "where their worm does not die and the fire is not put out." Isa. 66:24

¹³ But when you make a banquet, call the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind;

²¹ And having come up that slave reported these things to his lord. Then being angry, the housemaster said to his slave, Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in here the poor and maimed and lame and blind ones.

¹³ for if you live according to flesh, you are going to die. But if by the Spirit you put to death the practices of the body, you will live.

⁵ Then put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication; uncleanness; passion; evil lust; and covetousness, which is idolatry;

¹² instructing us that having denied ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live discreetly and righteously and godly in the present age,

¹ So therefore we also, having so great cloud of witnesses lying around us, having laid aside every weight and the easily surrounding sin, through patience let us also run the race set before us,

¹ Then having laid aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil words,

¹⁴ The sinners of Zion are afraid; terror has seized profane ones; who of us shall tarry with consuming fire? Who of us shall tarry with everlasting burnings?

²⁴ And they shall go out and see the dead bodies of the men who have transgressed against Me; for their worm shall not die, nor shall their fire be put out; and they shall be an object of disgust to all flesh.

⁴⁶ And these shall go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into everlasting life.

⁴⁸ "where their worm does not die and the fire is not put out." Isa. 66:24

⁹ who will pay the penalty: everlasting destruction from the face of the Lord, "and from the glory of His strength," Isa. 2:20

¹⁰ he also shall drink of the wine of the anger of God having been mixed undiluted in the cup of His wrath. And he will be tormented by fire and brimstone before the holy angels and before the Lamb. ¹¹ And the smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever. And those worshiping the beast and its image have no rest night and day, even if anyone receives the mark of its name.

¹⁰ And the Devil leading them astray was thrown into the Lake of Fire and Brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet were . And they were tormented day and night forever and ever.

¹⁵ And if anyone was not found having been written in the Book of Life, he was thrown into the Lake of Fire.

⁸ But for the cowardly and unbelieving, and those having become foul, and murderers, and fornicators, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all the lying ones, their part will be in the Lake burning with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.

²⁴ And calling he said, Father Abraham, have pity on me and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, for I am suffering in this flame. ²⁵ But Abraham said, Child, remember that you fully received your good things in your lifetime, and Lazarus likewise the bad things. But now he is comforted, and you are suffering. ²⁶ And besides all these things, a great chasm has been fixed between us and you, so that those desiring to pass from here to you are not able, nor can they pass from there to us.

⁶ And the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and the tree was desirable to make one wise. And she took of its fruit and ate; and she also gave to her husband with her, and he ate.

¹ I made a covenant with my eyes; how then could I look intently on a virgin?

³⁷ Turn my eyes from seeing vanity; in Your way give me life.

²⁸ But I say to you, Everyone looking at a woman to lust after her has already committed adultery with her in his heart. ²⁹ But if your right eye offends you, take it out and throw it from you, for it is profitable to you that one of your members should perish and all your body not be thrown into Hell.

³⁷ He that loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he that loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me. ³⁸ And whoever does not take up his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me. ³⁹ The one finding his life shall lose it. And the one losing his life on account of Me shall find it.

⁷ But what things were gain to me, these I have counted loss because of Christ. ⁸ But, nay, rather I also count all things to be loss because of the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them to be trash, that I might gain Christ

¹³ And every offering of your food offering you shall season with salt, and you shall not let the salt of the covenant of your God be lacking from your food offering; you shall offer salt with all your offerings.

²⁴ And you shall bring them before Jehovah, and the priests shall throw salt on them, and they shall offer them for a burnt offering to Jehovah.

⁶ Are tasteless things eaten without salt? Or is there taste in the slime of an egg?

¹⁴ depart from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.

¹ A Song of Ascents. Of David. Behold! How good and how pleasant is the living of brothers, even in unity.

¹³ You are the salt of the earth, but if the salt becomes tasteless, with what shall it be salted? For it has strength for nothing any more but to be thrown out and to be trampled under by men.

³⁴ And they were silent, for they argued with one another in the way as to who was greater.

³⁴ The salt is good, but if the salt becomes tasteless, with what will it be seasoned? ³⁵ It is not fit for soil nor for fertilizer; they throw it out. The one having ears to hear, let him hear.

³⁴ I give a new commandment to you, that you should love one another; according as I loved you, you should also love one another. ³⁵ By this all shall know that you are My disciples, if you have love among one another.

¹⁷ These things I command you, that you love one another. ¹⁸ If the world hates you, you know that it has hated Me before it has hated you.

¹⁸ If possible, as far as is in you, seeking peace with all men;

¹⁷ For the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. ¹⁸ For the one serving Christ in these things is pleasing to God, and approved by men. ¹⁹ So then let us pursue the things of peace, and the things for building up one another.

¹¹ For the rest, brothers, rejoice! Perfect yourselves; encourage yourselves, mind the same thing, be at peace; and the God of love and of peace will be with you.

¹⁴ For the whole law is fulfilled in one word, in this : "You shall love your neighbor as yourself." Lev. 19:18 ¹⁵ But if you bite and devour one another, be careful that you are not consumed by one another.

²² But the fruit of the Spirit is: love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faith,

² with all humility and meekness, with long-suffering, bearing with one another in love, ³ being eager to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. ⁴ There is one body and one Spirit, even as you also were called in one hope of your calling; ⁵ one Lord, one faith, one baptism, ⁶ one God and Father of all, He above all and through all and in you all.

²⁹ Let not any filthy word go out of your mouth, but if any is good to building up in respect to the need, that it may give grace to the ones hearing.

³¹ Let all bitterness, and anger, and wrath, and tumult, and evil speaking be put away from you, along with all evil things. ³² And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, having forgiven one another, even as also God forgave you in Christ.

²⁷ Only behave yourself worthily of the gospel of Christ, so that whether coming and seeing you or being absent, I hear the things concerning you, that you stand fast in one spirit and one soul, striving together in the faith of the gospel,

¹ Then if there is any comfort in Christ, if any consolation of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any tendernesses and compassions, ² fulfill my joy, that you think the same, having the same love, one in soul, minding the one thing, ³ doing nothing according to party spirit or self-glory, but in humility, esteeming one another to surpass themselves;

¹² Then put on as the elect of God, holy and beloved, tender feelings of compassions, kindness, humility, meekness, long-suffering,

⁶ Let your word be always with grace, having been seasoned with salt, to know how you ought to answer each one.

¹³ even esteem them most exceedingly in love because of their work. Be at peace among yourselves.

²² But flee youthful lusts and pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace, with the ones calling on the Lord out of a pure heart.

¹⁴ Eagerly pursue peace and holiness with all, without which no one will see the Lord,

²⁰ For the wrath of man does not work out the righteousness of God.

¹⁴ But if you have bitter jealousy and contention in your heart, do not boast and lie against the truth. ¹⁵ This is not the wisdom coming down from above, but is earthly, beastly, devilish. ¹⁶ For where jealousy and contention are, there is confusion and every foul deed. ¹⁷ But the wisdom from above is firstly truly pure, then peaceable, forbearing, yielding, full of mercy and of good fruits, not partial and not pretended. ¹⁸ And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace for the ones making peace.

⁸ And, finally, be all of one mind, sympathetic, loving the brothers, tenderhearted, friendly,
