And he will at once send it here. ⁴ And they departed and found the colt tied at the door outside, by the crossway; and they untied it. ⁵ And some of those standing there said to them, What are you doing, untying the colt? ⁶ And they said to them as Jesus commanded, and they let them go. ⁷ And they led the colt to Jesus. And they threw their garments on it, and He sat on it. ⁸ And many spread their garments on the highway, and others were cutting branches from the trees and were spreading them on the highway. ⁹ And those going before, and those following after, were crying out, saying, Hosanna! "Blessed is the One coming in the name of the Lord!" Psa. 118:25, 26 ¹⁰ Blessed is the coming kingdom of our father David in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest! ¹¹ And Jesus entered into Jerusalem, and into the temple. And having looked around at all things, the hour already being late, He went out to Bethany with the Twelve. ¹² And on the morrow, they going out from Bethany, He hungered. ¹³ And seeing afar off a fig tree having leaves, He went toward it, if perhaps He would find anything on it. And coming on it, He found nothing except leaves, for it was not the season of figs. ¹⁴ And answering, Jesus said to it, Let no one eat fruit of you any more forever. And His disciples heard. ¹⁵ And they came to Jerusalem. And entering into the temple, Jesus began to throw out those selling and buying in the temple; also He overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those selling the doves. ¹⁶ And He did not allow any to carry a vessel through the temple. ¹⁷ And He taught, saying to them, Has it not been written, "My house shall be called a house of prayer for all the nations." "But you have made it a den of robbers."? Isa. 56:7; Jer. 7:11 ¹⁸ And the scribes and the chief priests heard. And they sought how they might destroy Him, for they feared Him, because all the crowd was astonished at His doctrine. ¹⁹ And when evening came, He went outside the city. ²⁰ And passing along early, they saw the fig tree withered from the roots. ²¹ And remembering, Peter said to Him, Rabbi, behold, the fig tree which You cursed has withered. ²² And answering, Jesus said to them, Have faith of God. ²³ For truly I say to you, Whoever says to this mountain, Be taken up and be thrown into the sea, and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will happen, it will be to him, whatever he says. ²⁴ Therefore I say to you, All things, whatever you ask, praying, believe that you will receive, and it will be to you. ²⁵ And when you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive it, so that your Father in Heaven may also forgive your sins. ²⁶ But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in Heaven forgive your sins. ²⁷ And they came again to Jerusalem. And as He was walking in the temple, the chief priests and the scribes and the elders came to Him. ²⁸ And they said to Him, By what authority do you do these things? And who gave you this authority that you do these things? ²⁹ And answering, Jesus said to them, I will also ask you one thing, and answer Me, and I will tell you by what authority I do these things: ³⁰ The baptism of John, was it from Heaven, or from men? Answer Me. ³¹ And they argued to themselves, saying, If we say, From Heaven, he will say, Why then did you not believe him? ³² But if we say, From men, they feared the people. For all held that John really was a prophet. ³³ And answering, they said to Jesus, We do not know. And answering, Jesus said to them, Neither do I tell you by what authority I do these things.

³⁰ And David was going up in the ascent of the olives, going up and weeping. And his head was covered, and he was going barefooted. And all the people who were with him each had covered his head, and had gone up, going up and weeping.

⁴ And His feet shall stand in that day on the Mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east; and the Mount of Olives shall divide from its middle, from the east even to the west, a very great valley. And half of the mountain shall move toward the north, and half of it toward the south.

¹⁷ And leaving them, He went out of the city to Bethany, and spent the night there.

³ And as He was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, Tell us, when will these things be? And, What is the sign of Your coming and of the end of the age?

³⁰ And singing a hymn, they went to the Mount of Olives.

⁷ And He called the Twelve near and began to send them out two by two. And He gave them authority over the unclean spirits,

³ And as He was sitting in the Mount of Olives opposite the temple, Peter and James and John and Andrew questioned Him privately:

¹³ And He sent two of His disciples, and said to them, Go into the city. And you will meet a man carrying a pitcher of water. Follow him.

²⁹ And it happened as He drew near to Bethphage and Bethany toward the Mount called Of Olives, He sent two of the disciples, ³⁰ saying, Go into the village opposite you, in which having entered you will find a colt which has been tied up, on which no one of men ever yet sat. Peace in Heaven, and glory in the highest! Psa. 118:26 ³⁹ And some of the Pharisees from the crowd said to Him, Teacher, rebuke your disciples. ⁴⁰ And answering, He said to them, I say to you, If these should be silent, the stones will cry out.

¹ But Jesus went to the Mount of Olives.

¹⁴ And finding an ass colt, Jesus sat on it, even as it had been written, ¹⁵ "Do not fear," "daughter of Zion. Behold, your King comes" "sitting on" "the foal of an ass." Isa. 40:9; Zech. 9:9 ¹⁶ But His disciples did not know these things at the first, but when Jesus was glorified, then they recalled that these things had been written on Him, and that they did these things to Him. ¹⁷ Then the crowd which was with Him when He called Lazarus out of the tomb and raised him from the dead, witnessed. ¹⁸ Because of this also the crowd met Him, because it heard of this miracle He had done. ¹⁹ Then the Pharisees said to themselves, Observe that you gain nothing. Behold, the world has gone after Him.

¹² Then they returned to Jerusalem from the mount being called Of Olive Grove, which is near Jerusalem, a sabbath's journey away.

¹² and the riches, and the honor come from before You, and You rule over all; and in Your hand is power and might; and it is in Your hand to make great, and to give strength to all. ¹³ And now, our God, we are giving thanks to You, and giving praise to Your glorious name; ¹⁴ yea, for who am I, and who my people, that we should be able to offer willingly in this way? For all is of You, and we have given to You out of Your hand; ¹⁵ for we are strangers before You, and settlers, like all our fathers; our days on the land are like a shadow, and there is none abiding. ¹⁶ O Jehovah our God, all this store that we have prepared to build a house to You, for Your holy name, is out of Your hand, and all is of You. ¹⁷ And I know, my God, that You try the heart and are pleased with uprightness; I, in the uprightness of my heart, have offered willingly all these things; and now I have watched with joy Your people who are present here offering willingly to You. ¹⁸ O Jehovah, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, our fathers, keep this forever for the imagination of the thoughts of the heart of your people, and prepare their heart toward You;

¹ A Psalm of David. The earth is Jehovah's, and the fullness of it; the world, and those who live in it.

³ Your people shall be willing in the day of Your power; in holy adornment from the womb of the dawn, to You is the dew of Your youth.

¹⁵ And he will show you a large upper room, having been spread and made ready. Prepare for us there.

²⁴ And having prayed, they said, You, Lord, knower of all hearts, show which one You chose from these two,

³⁶ The Word which He sent to the sons of Israel, preaching the gospel of peace through Jesus Christ, this One is Lord of all.

²⁵ nor is served by hands of men, as having need of anything. For He is giving life and breath and all things to all.

⁹ For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that being rich, He became poor for your sake, so that you might become rich by the poverty of that One.

⁷ You made him a little less than the angels; You crowned him with glory and honor; and You set him over the works of Your hands; ⁸ You put all things under his feet." Psa. 8:4 -6 For in putting all things under him, He left nothing not subjected to him. But now we do not yet see all things being subjected to him; ⁹ but we do see Jesus crowned with glory and honor, who on account of the suffering of death was made a little less than the angels, so that by the grace of God He might taste of death for every son .

⁶ And the disciples, going and doing as Jesus ordered them, ⁷ they led the ass and the colt. And they put on them their garments, and set Him on them.

¹⁹ And the disciples did as Jesus ordered them, and prepared the Passover.

³² And going, those having been sent found as He told them. ³³ And as they were untying the colt, its owners said to them, Why do you untie the colt? ³⁴ And they said, The Lord has need of it.

⁸ Having been called out by faith, Abraham obeyed to go forth to a place which he was going to receive for an inheritance; and he went out not understanding where he went.

¹³ And they hurried, and each man took his garment and put it under him on the bare steps, and blew with the ram's horn, and said, Jehu reigns!

⁹ Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout, O daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your King comes to you! He is righteous and victorious, lowly, and riding on an ass, even on a colt, the son of an ass.

⁴ But all this happened that might be fulfilled that spoken by the prophet, saying: ⁵ "Tell the daughter of Zion, Behold, your King comes to you, meek and mounted on an ass, even a colt, the son of an ass." Isa. 62:11; Zech. 9:9

¹² On the morrow, coming to the Feast, hearing that Jesus is coming to Jerusalem, a great crowd ¹³ took palm branches and went out to a meeting with Him, and they were crying out, Hosanna! "Blessed is He coming in the name of the Lord," the King of Israel! Psa. 118:26 ¹⁴ And finding an ass colt, Jesus sat on it, even as it had been written, ¹⁵ "Do not fear," "daughter of Zion. ²⁵ O Jehovah, I beseech You, save now; I beseech You, O Jehovah, cause us to prosper now. ²⁶ Blessed is he who comes in the name of Jehovah; we blessed you from the house of Jehovah.

⁹ And the crowd, the ones going before and the ones following, were crying out, saying, Hosanna to the Son of David! "Blessed is He coming in the name of the Lord"! Hosanna in the highest! Psa. 118:25, 26

³⁹ For I say to you, In no way shall you see Me from now on, until you say, "Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord." Psa. 118:26

³⁷ And as He was already drawing near to the descent of the Mount of Olives, all the multitude of the disciples began rejoicing, to praise God with a loud voice concerning all the works of power which they saw, ³⁸ saying, "Blessed is the One coming in the name of the Lord," the King. Peace in Heaven, and glory in the highest! Psa. 118:26

¹³ took palm branches and went out to a meeting with Him, and they were crying out, Hosanna! "Blessed is He coming in the name of the Lord," the King of Israel! Psa. 118:26

¹⁵ But they cried out, Away, Away! Crucify him! Pilate said to them, Shall I crucify your king? The chief priests answered, We have no king except Caesar.

¹ Praise Jehovah! Praise Jehovah from the heavens; praise Him in the heights.

⁶ For a Child is born; to us a Son is given; and the government is on His shoulder; and His name is called Wonderful, Counselor, the mighty God, the everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace. ⁷ There is no end to the increase of His government and of peace on the throne of David, and on His kingdom, to order it, and to sustain it with justice and with righteousness, from now and forever. The zeal of Jehovah of Hosts will do this.

¹⁵ In those days, and at that time, I will cause a Branch of righteousness to grow up to David. And He shall do judgment and righteousness in the land. ¹⁶ In those days Judah shall be saved, and Jerusalem shall dwell in safety. And this is the name that shall be called on her: JEHOVAH OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS. ¹⁷ For so says Jehovah, Not a man sitting on the throne of the house of Israel will be cut off to David.

²⁶ then I also will reject the seed of Jacob, and My servant David, not to take of his seed to be rulers over the seed of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. For I will bring back their captivity and have pity on them.

²³ And I will raise up over them one Shepherd. And He shall feed them. My servant David, He shall feed them, and He shall be their Shepherd. ²⁴ And I, Jehovah, will be their God, and My servant David shall be a ruler among them. I, Jehovah, have spoken.

²⁴ And My Servant, David, shall be King over them. And there shall be one Shepherd to all of them. And they shall walk in My judgments and keep My statutes, and do them. ²⁵ And they shall dwell on the land that I have given to my servant, to Jacob, there where your fathers dwelt in it. And they shall dwell on it, they and their sons, and the sons of their sons, forever. And My Servant David shall be a ruler to them forever.

⁵ Afterward the sons of Israel shall return and seek Jehovah their God and David their king. And they shall fear Jehovah and His goodness in the ends of the days.

¹¹ In that day I will raise up the booth of David that has fallen, and I will wall up its breaks. And I will raise up its ruins, and I will build it as the days of old; ¹² so that they may possess the remnant of Edom, and all the nations on whom My name is called, declares Jehovah who is doing this.

³¹ And behold! You will conceive in your womb and bear a Son, and you will call His name Jesus. ³² This One will be great and will be called Son of the Most High. And the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David. ³³ And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever; and of His kingdom there will be no end.

¹⁴ Glory to God in the highest, and peace on earth, good will among men.

⁹ And He said to me, Go in and see the evil abominations that they are doing here.

¹² And it shall be in that time, I will search Jerusalem with lamps, and punish the men being settled on their lees; who say in their heart, Jehovah will not do good, nor will He do evil.

¹ Behold, I am sending My messenger, and He will clear the way before Me. And the Lord whom you are seeking shall suddenly come to His temple, even the Angel of the Covenant, in whom you delight. Behold, He comes, says Jehovah of hosts.

¹⁰ And as He entered into Jerusalem, all the city was shaken, saying, Who is this? ¹¹ And the crowds said, This is Jesus, the Prophet, the one from Nazareth of Galilee. ¹² And Jesus entered into the temple of God and threw out all those selling and buying in the temple. And He overthrew the tables of the money changers and the seats of those selling the doves. ¹³ And He said to them, It has been written, "My house shall be called a house of prayer," but you have "made it a den of robbers." Isa. 56:7; Jer. 7:11 ¹⁴ And blind and lame ones came to Him in the temple, and He healed them. ¹⁵ But the chief priests and the scribes, seeing the wonders which He did, and the children crying out in the temple, and saying, Hosanna to the Son of David, they were incensed. ¹⁶ And they said to Him, Do you hear what these say? And Jesus said to them, Yes. Did you never read, "Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings You have perfected praise?" LXX-Psa. 8:3; MT-Psa. 8:2 ¹⁷ And leaving them, He went out of the city to Bethany, and spent the night there.

⁴¹ And as He drew near, seeing the city, He wept over it, ⁴² saying, If you had known, even you, even at least in this day of yours, the things for your peace! But now they were hidden from your eyes. ⁴³ For the days will come on you, and your enemies will raise up a rampart to you and will surround you and will keep you in on every side, ⁴⁴ and will tear you down, and your children in you, and will not leave a stone on a stone, because you did not know the time of your visitation. ⁴⁵ And entering into the temple, He began to throw out those selling and buying in it,

³⁷ And in the days, He was teaching in the temple. And going out in the nights, He lodged in the Mount of Olives. ³⁸ And all the people came early to Him in the temple, to hear Him.

¹ But Jesus went to the Mount of Olives. ² And at dawn, He again arrived into the temple; and all the people came to Him. And sitting down, He taught them.

² And having fasted forty days and forty nights, afterwards He hungered.

¹⁸ And returning early to the city, He hungered. ¹⁹ And seeing one fig tree by the road, He went up to it, and found nothing on it except leaves only. And He said to it, Let there be no more fruit from you forever. And the fig tree immediately dried up. ²⁰ And seeing, the disciples marveled, saying, How quickly the fig tree is dried up! ²¹ And answering, Jesus said to them, Truly I say to you, If you have faith and do not doubt, not only will you do the miracle of the fig tree, but even if you should say to this mountain, Be taken up and thrown into the sea, it will be so. ²² And all things, whatever you may ask in prayer, believing, you shall receive.

² forty days, being tested by the Devil. And He ate nothing in those days, and they being ended, He afterwards hungered.

⁶ And Jacob's fountain was there. Then being wearied by the journey, Jesus sat thus on the fountain. It was about the sixth hour. ⁷ A woman came out of Samaria to draw water. Jesus said to her, Give Me some to drink.

³¹ But in the meantime the disciples asked Him, saying, Rabbi, eat? ³² But He said to them, I have food to eat which you do not know. ³³ Then the disciples said to one another, No one brought Him food to eat?

²⁸ After this, knowing that all things have now been finished that the Scripture be completed, Jesus said, I thirst.

¹⁷ For this reason He ought by all means to become like His brothers, that He might become a merciful and faithful high priest in the things respecting God, in order to make propitiation for the sins of His people.

³ And she went. And she came and gleaned in the field after the reapers. And her chance happened to be on the portion of the field belonging to Boaz, who was of Elimelech's family.

⁹ And watch; if it goes up by way of its own border, to Bethshemesh, He has done this great evil to us. And if not, then we shall know that it is not His hand that touched us; it was an accident to us.

⁷ For the vineyard of Jehovah of Hosts is the house of Israel, and the man of Judah is His delightful plant. And He waited for justice, but behold, bloodshed; for righteousness, but behold, a cry!

¹⁹ And seeing one fig tree by the road, He went up to it, and found nothing on it except leaves only. And He said to it, Let there be no more fruit from you forever. And the fig tree immediately dried up.

³¹ But by a coincidence, a certain priest was going on that road; and seeing him, he passed on the opposite side .

⁶ Are not five sparrows sold for two assaria? And not one of them has been forgotten before God. ⁷ But even the hairs of your head have all been numbered. Then stop being afraid; you differ from many sparrows.

⁶ And He spoke this parable: A certain one had planted a fig tree in his vineyard. And he came looking for fruit on it and did not find any . ⁷ And he said to the vinedresser, Behold, three years I come looking for fruit on this fig tree, and found none. Cut it down, and why does it waste the ground? ⁸ And the vinedresser said to him, Sir, leave it also this year until I shall dig around it and throw manure; ⁹ and see if it indeed makes fruit. But if not, in the future you may cut it down.

⁴ Hear, O Israel, Jehovah our God is one Jehovah. ⁵ And you shall love Jehovah your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might. ⁶ And these words which I am commanding you today shall be on your heart. ⁷ And you shall teach them to your sons, and shall speak of them as you sit in your house, and as you walk in the way, and as you are lying down, and as you are rising up. ⁸ And you shall bind them for a sign on your hand; and they shall be for frontlets between your eyes.

²⁶ Behold! I set before you today a blessing and a curse: ²⁷ a blessing if you hear the commandments of Jehovah your God which I command you today; ²⁸ and a curse if you will not hear the commandments of Jehovah your God, but will turn aside out of the way which I command you today, to go after other gods which you have not known. ²⁹ And it shall be when Jehovah your God shall bring you into the land to which you go to possess it, that you shall set the blessing on Mount Gerizim, and the curse on Mount Ebal. ³⁰ Are they not beyond the Jordan, behind the way of the sunset, in the land of the Canaanites that live in the Arabah, opposite to Gilgal, beside the oaks of Moreh? ³¹ For you are to cross over the Jordan to go in to possess the land which Jehovah your God is giving to you; and you shall possess it and live in it.

⁵ And now I will make known to you what I will do then to My vineyard. I will take away its hedge, and it will be burned. I will breach its wall, and it will become a trampling ground. ⁶ And I will lay it waste; it shall not be pruned nor hoed; but briers and thorns shall come up. And I will command the clouds from raining rain on it.

¹⁰ But already the axe is even laid at the root of the trees; therefore, any tree not bringing forth good fruit is cut down and is thrown into fire.

³³ Either make the tree good and its fruit good, or make the tree corrupt and its fruit corrupt; for the tree is known by the fruit. ³⁴ Offspring of vipers! How can you, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. ³⁵ The good man out of the good treasure of the heart puts forth good things. And the evil man out of the evil treasure puts forth evil things.

³³ Hear another parable: There was a certain man, a house master, who planted a vineyard and placed a hedge around it; and he dug a winepress in it, and built a tower. And he rented it to vinedressers and left the country. Isa. 5:1, 2

⁴⁴ And he who falls on this Stone will be broken; but on whomever it falls, it will grind him to powder.

⁶ Unless one remains in Me, he is cast out as the branch and is dried up; and they gather and throw them into a fire, and they are burned.

²⁰ For if by a full knowledge of the Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, they have escaped the defilements of the world, and again being entangled they have been overcome by these, then their last things have become worse than the first.

¹¹ The one acting unjustly, let him still act unjustly; and the filthy, let him still be filthy; and the righteous, let him still do righteousness; and the holy, let him still be holy.

²⁵ Then you shall give it for silver, and bind up the silver in your hand. And you shall go to the place which Jehovah your God shall choose. ²⁶ And you shall pay the silver for whatever your soul desires, for oxen, or for sheep, or for wine, or for fermented drink, or for whatever your soul desires. And you shall eat there before Jehovah your God, and you shall rejoice you and your household

Isa. 56:7; Jer. 7:11 ¹⁴ And blind and lame ones came to Him in the temple, and He healed them. ¹⁵ But the chief priests and the scribes, seeing the wonders which He did, and the children crying out in the temple, and saying, Hosanna to the Son of David, they were incensed. ¹⁶ And they said to Him, Do you hear what these say? And Jesus said to them, Yes. Did you never read, "Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings You have perfected praise?" LXX-Psa. 8:3; MT-Psa. 8:2

⁴⁵ And entering into the temple, He began to throw out those selling and buying in it, ⁴⁶ saying to them, It has been written, "My house is a house of prayer," but you made it "a den of robbers." Isa. 56:7; Jer. 7:11 ⁴⁷ And He was teaching day by day in the temple. But the chief priests and the scribes and the chief men of the people sought to kill Him.

¹³ And the Passover of the Jews was near. And Jesus went up to Jerusalem. ¹⁴ And He found those selling oxen and sheep and doves in the temple, and the money changers sitting. ¹⁵ And making a whip out of ropes, He threw all out of the temple, both the sheep, and the oxen, and the money changers, pouring out the money and overturning the tables. ¹⁶ And to the ones selling the doves, He said, Take these things from here! Do not make My Father's house a house of merchandise. ¹⁷ And His disciples remembered that it was written, "The zeal of Your house has consumed Me." Psa. 69:9

⁴¹ And also, to the alien who is not of Your people Israel, and has come from a land afar off for Your name's sake, ⁴² (for they shall hear of Your great name, and of Your strong hand, and of Your stretched out arm, and he shall have come in and prayed toward this house,) ⁴³ You shall hear in Heaven, Your dwellingplace, and shall do according to all that the stranger calls to You for, so that all the peoples of the earth may know Your name, to fear You like Your people Israel, and to know that Your name has been called on this house which I have built. ⁴⁴ If Your people shall go out to battle against its enemy, in the way that You have sent them, and they have prayed to Jehovah the way of the city which You have chosen, and of the house which I have built for Your name, ⁴⁵ then hear their prayer and their supplication in Heaven, and maintain their cause. ⁴⁶ When they sin against You (for there is not a man who does not sin) and You have been angry with them, and have given them up before an enemy, and they have been led away into captivity to the land of the enemy, far off or near; ⁴⁷ and they have turned their heart back in the land where they have been taken captive, and have repented, and made supplication to You in the land of their captors, saying, We have sinned and done perversely; we have done wickedly; ⁴⁸ and, they have turned back to You with all their heart, and with all the their soul, in the land of their enemies who have taken them captive, and have prayed to You the way of their land which You gave to their fathers, the city which You have chosen, and the house which I have built for Your name,

⁷ even them I will bring to My holy mount and make them joyful in My house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted on My altar, for My house shall be called a house of prayer for all the peoples,

⁷ All the flocks of Kedar shall be gathered to you; rams of Nebaioth shall serve you; they shall come up for acceptance on My altar; and I will glorify the house of My glory.

¹¹ Has this house on which My name is called become a den of violent ones in your eyes? Behold, even I have seen, declares Jehovah.

⁷ He is a merchant; the scales of deceit are in his hand; he loves to oppress.

⁴⁶ saying to them, It has been written, "My house is a house of prayer," but you made it "a den of robbers." Isa. 56:7; Jer. 7:11

¹⁶ And to the ones selling the doves, He said, Take these things from here! Do not make My Father's house a house of merchandise.

¹⁷ And it happened when Ahab saw Elijah, that Ahab said to him, Are you he, the disturber of Israel? ¹⁸ And he answered, I have not disturbed Israel, but you and the house of your father, in that you have forsaken the commands of Jehovah, and you have gone after the Baals.

²⁰ And Ahab said to Elijah, Have you found me, O my enemy? And he said, I have found you, because you have sold yourself to do that which is evil in the eyes of Jehovah.

⁸ And the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, Yet one man, to seek Jehovah by him. But I hate him, for he does not prophesy good concerning me, but evil, Micaiah the son of Imlah. And Jehoshaphat said, let not the king say so.

¹⁸ And the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, Did I not say to you, He will not prophesy good of me, but evil?

⁷ So says Jehovah, the Redeemer of Israel, His Holy One, to the despised of soul, to the hated of the nation, the servant of rulers, Kings shall see and rise up; and chiefs shall worship; because of Jehovah who is faithful, and the Holy One of Israel; and He chose You.

²⁸ And it happened, when Jesus had finished these sayings, the crowds were astonished at His doctrine.

¹⁵ But the chief priests and the scribes, seeing the wonders which He did, and the children crying out in the temple, and saying, Hosanna to the Son of David, they were incensed.

³⁸ But seeing the son, the vinedressers said among themselves, This is the heir. Come, let us kill him and get hold of his inheritance. ³⁹ And taking him, they threw him out of the vineyard and killed him .

⁴⁵ And hearing His parables, the chief priests and the Pharisees knew that He was speaking about them. ⁴⁶ And seeking to lay hold of Him, they feared the crowds, because they held Him as a prophet.

³ Then the chief priests and the scribes and the elders of the people were assembled to the court of the high priest, the one named Caiaphas. ⁴ And they plotted together in order that they might seize Jesus by guile and kill Him .

²² And they were astonished at His doctrine, for He was teaching them as having authority, and not as the scribes.

⁶ And going out, the Pharisees at once took counsel with the Herodians against Him, how they might destroy Him.

²⁰ For Herod feared John, knowing him to be a holy and just man, and kept him safe. And hearing him, he did many things, and gladly heard from him.

³² But if we say, From men, they feared the people. For all held that John really was a prophet.

¹² And they sought to seize Him, yet feared the crowd. For they knew that He spoke the parable against them. And leaving Him, they went away.

¹ And it was the Passover, and the Feast of Unleavened Bread after two days. And the chief priests and the scribes were seeking how they might get hold of Him by guile, to kill Him . ² But they said, Not during the Feast, lest there will be a tumult of the people.

²² And all bore witness to Him, and marveled at the gracious words coming out of His mouth. And they said, Is this not the son of Joseph?

⁴⁷ And He was teaching day by day in the temple. But the chief priests and the scribes and the chief men of the people sought to kill Him.

¹⁹ And the chief priests and the scribes sought to lay hands on Him in the same hour. And they feared the people, for they knew that He told this parable against them.

⁴⁶ The officers answered, Never did a man so speak as does this man.

⁵³ Then from that day, they took counsel that they might kill Him. ⁵⁴ Then Jesus no longer walked publicly among the Jews, but went away from there into the country near a deserted place, to a city being called Ephraim, and stayed there with His disciples. ⁵⁵ And the Passover of the Jews was near. And many went up to Jerusalem out of the country before the Passover, that they might purify themselves. ⁵⁶ Then they sought Jesus, and said with one another, standing in the temple, What does it seem to you? That He does not at all come to the Feast? ⁵⁷ And all the chief priests and the Pharisees had given commands that if anyone knew where He is, he should inform so that they might seize Him.

²⁵ And Paul having reasoned concerning righteousness and self control, and the Judgment that is about to be, becoming afraid, Felix answered, For the present, go; but taking time later, I will call for you;

⁵ And if anyone desires to harm them, fire comes out of their mouth and devours their enemies. And if anyone desires to harm them, so it is right for him to be killed. ⁶ These have the authority to shut up the heaven, that no rain may rain in the days of their prophecy. And they have authority over the waters, to turn them into blood, and to strike the earth with every plague, as often as they desire. ⁷ And when they complete their witness, the beast coming up out of the abyss will make war with them, and will overcome them, and will kill them. ⁸ And their bodies will be on the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom, and Egypt, where our Lord was crucified. ⁹ And some from the peoples and tribes and tongues and nations will see their dead bodies three days and a half; and they do not allow their dead bodies to be put in tombs. ¹⁰ And those living on the earth will rejoice over them, and will make merry. And they will send one another gifts, because these two prophets tormented those living on the earth. ¹¹ And Jesus entered into Jerusalem, and into the temple. And having looked around at all things, the hour already being late, He went out to Bethany with the Twelve.

³⁷ And in the days, He was teaching in the temple. And going out in the nights, He lodged in the Mount of Olives.

³⁶ While you have the Light, believe into the Light, that you may become sons of Light. Jesus spoke these things, and going away He was hidden from them.

¹⁶ His roots are dried up beneath, and his branch shall wither above. ¹⁷ His memory perishes from the earth, and there is no name to him on the face of the street.

⁵ that the exulting of the wicked is near an end, and the joy of the ungodly is for a moment? ⁶ Though his height mounts up to the heavens, and his head touches to the clouds, ⁷ he shall perish forever like his dung; they who see him shall say, Where is he?

⁴ What more could have been done to My vineyard that I have not done in it? Who knows? I waited for it to yield grapes, but it yielded rotten grapes.

²⁴ Yea, they shall not be planted; yea, they are not sown; yea, their stem is not taking root in the earth. And He shall also blow on them, and they shall wither, and the tempest shall take them away like stubble.

⁶ And the sun rising, it was scorched; and because of having no root, it was dried up.

¹³ But answering, He said, Every plant which My heavenly Father has not planted shall be rooted up.

¹⁴ And answering, Jesus said to it, Let no one eat fruit of you any more forever. And His disciples heard.

⁸ "but bearing thorns and thistles," it is deemed unfit and near a curse, of which the end is for burning.) Gen. 3:17, 18

¹² These are sunken rocks in your love feasts, feasting together with you, feeding themselves without fear, waterless clouds being carried about by winds, fruitless autumn trees, having died twice, having been plucked up by the roots;

³³ The curse of Jehovah is in the house of the wicked, but He blesses the abode of the just.

³ And he said to me, This is the curse that goes forth over the face of the whole earth. For from now on everyone who steals shall be cut off according to it; and everyone who swears from now on shall be cut off according to it. ⁴ And I will bring it forth, says Jehovah of hosts. And it shall go into the house of the thief, and into the house of the one who swears falsely by My name. And it shall remain in the midst of his house, and shall devour it, and its timber, and its stones.

⁷ and the greetings in the markets, and to be called by men, Rabbi, Rabbi.

⁴¹ Then He will also say to those on His left, Go away from Me, cursed ones, into the everlasting fire having been prepared for the Devil and his angels.

²² If anyone does not love the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be a curse. The Lord comes!

²⁰ And they rose early in the morning and went out to the wilderness of Tekoa; and as they went out Jehoshaphat stood and said, Hear me, O Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem. Believe in Jehovah your God, and be steadfast; believe in His prophets and prosper.

⁸ Trust in Him at every time, you people; pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us. Selah.

⁹ And the head of Ephraim is Samaria, and the head of Samaria is Remaliah's son. If you will not believe, surely you will not be established.

²³ And Jesus said to him, If you are able to believe, all things are possible to those believing.

¹ Do not let your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me.

¹² being buried with Him in baptism, in whom also you were raised through the faith of the working of God, raising Him from among the dead.

¹ Paul, a slave of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ according to the faith of the elect of God and full knowledge of the truth according to godliness,

⁴ And delight yourself in Jehovah, that He may give you your heart's desire.

¹³ And having heard, Jesus withdrew privately from there in a boat, into a deserted place. And hearing, the crowds followed Him on foot out of the cities.

²⁰ And Jesus said to them, Because of your unbelief. For truly I say to you, If you have faith as a grain of mustard, you will say to this mountain, Move from here to there! And it will move. And nothing shall be impossible to you.

²¹ And answering, Jesus said to them, Truly I say to you, If you have faith and do not doubt, not only will you do the miracle of the fig tree, but even if you should say to this mountain, Be taken up and thrown into the sea, it will be so.

⁶ But the Lord said, If you had faith as a grain of mustard, you may say to this sycamine tree, Be rooted up and be planted in the sea! And it would obey you.

¹³ And whatever you may ask in My Name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

⁷ If you remain in Me, and My words remain in you, whatever you desire you will ask, and it shall happen to you.

¹⁸ He against hope believed in hope, for him to become a father of many nations, according to what has been said, "So shall your seed be." Gen. 15:5 ¹⁹ And being about a hundred years old, not weakening in faith, he did not consider his body to have died already, nor yet the death of Sarah's womb, ²⁰ and did not stagger by unbelief at the promise of God, but was empowered by faith, giving glory to God, ²¹ and being fully persuaded that what He has promised, He is also able to do. ²² Because of this, "it was also counted to him for righteousness." Gen. 15:6 ²³ But it was not written for him only, that it was counted to him, ²⁴ but also on account of us, to whom it is about to be counted, to the ones believing on Him who has raised our Lord Jesus from the dead, ²⁵ who was delivered because our offenses and was raised because of our justification.

² And if I have prophecies, and know all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith so as to move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.

¹⁷ By faith, being tested, Abraham offered up Isaac; and he receiving the promises was offering up the only begotten, ¹⁸ as to whom it was said, "In Isaac your Seed shall be called;" Gen. 21:12 ¹⁹ reckoning that God was able to raise even from the dead; from where indeed he obtained him in a parable.

⁵ But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask from God, who gives to all freely and with no reproach, and it will be given to Him. ⁶ But let him ask in faith, doubting nothing. For the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, being driven by wind and being tossed;

⁷ Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. ⁸ For each one that asks receives, and the one that seeks finds; and to the one knocking, it will be opened. ⁹ Or what man of you is there, if his son should ask a loaf of him, will he give him a stone? ¹⁰ And if he should ask a fish, will he give him a snake? ¹¹ Therefore, if you, being evil. know to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in Heaven give good things to those that ask Him?

¹⁹ Again I say to you, If two of you agree on earth as to anything, whatever they shall ask, it shall be to them from My Father in Heaven.

²² And all things, whatever you may ask in prayer, believing, you shall receive.

⁹ And I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. ¹⁰ For everyone asking receives, and the one seeking finds, and to the one knocking, it will be opened. ¹¹ And what father of you, if the son asks for bread, will he give him a stone? And if a fish, will he give him a snake instead of a fish? ¹² And if he should ask an egg, will he give him a scorpion? ¹³ Then if you being evil know to give good gifts to your children, how much more the Father out of Heaven will give the Holy Spirit to those asking Him.

¹ And He also spoke a parable to them to teach it is always right to pray, and not to faint, ² saying, A certain judge was in a certain city, not fearing God and not respecting man. ³ And a widow was in that city, and she came to him, saying, Avenge me from my adversary. ⁴ And for a time he would not. But after these things he said to himself, Even if I do not fear God, and do not respect man, ⁵ yet because this widow causes me trouble, I will avenge her, that not coming to the end, she subdue me. ⁶ And the Lord said, Hear what the unrighteous judge says; ⁷ and will God not at all execute the avenging of His elect, those crying to Him day and night, also having been long-suffering over them? ⁸ I say to you that He will carry out the avenging of them speedily. But the Son of man coming then, will He find faith on the earth?

²³ And in that day you will ask Me nothing. Truly, truly, I say to you, Whatever you shall ask the Father in My name, He will give you. ²⁴ Until now you asked nothing in My name; ask, and you will receive, so that your joy may be full. ²⁵ I have spoken these things to you in allegories. An hour comes when I will no longer speak to you in allegories, but I will reveal the Father plainly to you. ²⁶ In that day you will ask in My name, and I do not tell you that I will petition the Father about you; ²⁷ for the Father Himself loves you, because you have loved Me, and have believed that I came out from God.

¹⁵ And the prayer of faith will cure those being sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he may have committed sin, it will be forgiven him. ¹⁶ Confess faults to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous one has great strength, having been made effective. ¹⁷ Elijah was a man of like feeling to us, and he prayed in prayer for it not to rain; and it did not rain on the earth three years and six months. ¹⁸ And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth caused its fruit to sprout.

²² And whatever we ask, we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments, and we do the things pleasing before Him.

¹⁴ And this is the confidence we have toward Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. ¹⁵ And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests which we have asked from Him.

¹ And he made me see Joshua the high priest standing before the Angel of Jehovah, and Satan standing at his right hand to accuse him.

²³ Therefore, if you offer your gift on the altar, and remember there that your brother has something against you,

⁵ And when you pray, you shall not be as the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the open streets so that they may be seen of men. Truly I say to you, they have their reward.

¹² and forgive us our debts as we also forgive our debtors.

¹⁴ For if you forgive men their offenses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. ¹⁵ But if you will not forgive men their offenses, neither will your Father forgive your offenses.

²³ For this reason the kingdom of Heaven has been compared to a man, a king, who decided to take account with his slaves. ²⁴ And when he began to reckon, one debtor of ten thousand talents was brought near to him. ²⁵ But he not having any to pay, the lord commanded him to be sold, also his wife and children, and all things, as much as he had, even to pay back. ²⁶ Then falling down, the slave bowed the knee to him, saying, Lord, have patience with me, and I will pay all to you. ²⁷ And being filled with pity, the lord of that slave released him and forgave him the loan. ²⁸ But going out, that slave found one of his fellow slaves who owed him a hundred denarii. And seizing him, he choked him, saying, Pay me whatever you owe. ²⁹ Then falling down at his feet, his fellow slave begged him, saying, Have patience with me, and I will pay all to you. ³⁰ But he would not, but going away he threw him into prison until he pay back the amount owing. ³¹ But his fellow slaves, seeing the things happening, they were greatly grieved. And coming they reported to their lord all the things happening. ³² Then calling him near, his lord said to him, Wicked slave! I forgave you all that debt, since you begged me. ³³ Ought you not also to favor your fellow slave, as I also favored you? ³⁴ And being angry, his lord delivered him up to the tormentors until he pay back all that debt to him. ³⁵ So also My heavenly Father will do to you unless each of you from your hearts forgive his brother their trespasses.

³⁷ Judge not, and in no way be judged. Do not condemn, and in no way you will be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.

¹¹ The Pharisee was standing, praying these things to himself: God, I thank You that I am not as the rest of men, rapacious, unrighteous, adulterers, or even as this tax collector.

³² And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, having forgiven one another, even as also God forgave you in Christ.

¹³ bearing with one another and forgiving yourselves, if anyone has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so also you should forgive .

¹³ For judgment will be without mercy to the one not doing mercy. And mercy rejoices over judgment.

⁴ These are the two olive trees, and the two lampstands, standing before the God of the earth.

¹ Why have the nations raged and the peoples are meditating on vanity? ² The kings of the earth set themselves; yea, the rulers have plotted together against Jehovah and His anointed, saying, ³ We will break their bands in two, and throw off their cords from us. ⁴ He who sits in the heavens shall laugh; Jehovah shall mock at them. ⁵ Then He will speak to them in His anger, and He will terrify them in His wrath;

²³ And He, coming into the temple, the chief priests and elders of the people came near to Him as He was teaching, saying, By what authority do you do these things? And who gave this authority to you? ²⁴ And answering, Jesus said to them, I also will ask you one thing, which if you tell Me, I also will tell you by what authority I do these things. ²⁵ The baptism of John, from where was it? From Heaven, or from men? And they reasoned among themselves, saying, If we shall say, From Heaven, He will say to us, Why then did you not believe him? ²⁶ But if we should say, From men, we fear the people. For all hold John to be a prophet. ²⁷ And answering Jesus, they said, We do not know. And He said to them, Neither do I tell you by what authority I do these things.

¹ And it happened on one of those days, as He was teaching the people and announcing the gospel in the temple, the chief priests and the scribes came up, along with the elders, ² and spoke to Him, saying, Tell us by what authority you do these things, or who is it who gave to you this authority? ³ And answering, He said to them, I will also ask you one thing, and you tell me: ⁴ The baptism of John, was it from Heaven, or from men? ⁵ And they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we say, From Heaven, he will say, Then why did you not believe him? ⁶ But if we say, From men, all the people will stone us, having been convinced that John was a prophet. ⁷ And they answered, they did not know from where. ⁸ And Jesus said to them, Neither do I tell you by what authority I do these things.

²³ And Jesus was walking in the temple, in Solomon's Porch.

²⁰ Jesus answered him, I publicly spoke to the world; I always taught in the synagogue and in the temple where the Jews always come together, and I spoke nothing in secret.

⁵ And it happened on the morrow that the rulers and elders and scribes gathered into Jerusalem; ⁶ also Annas the high priest, and Caiaphas, and John, and Alexander, and as many as were of the high priestly family. ⁷ And standing them in the midst, they were inquiring, By what sort of power, or by what sort of name did you do this? ⁸ Then being filled of the Holy Spirit, Peter said to them, Rulers of the people and elders of Israel,

²⁷ For truly both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the nations and the peoples of Israel, were gathered together against Your holy child Jesus, whom You anointed, ²⁸ to do whatever Your hand and Your counsel before-determined to be done.

¹⁴ And he said, Who appointed you as a man, a ruler and a judge over us? Are you saying to kill me, as you killed the Egyptian? And Moses feared, and said, Surely the thing is known.

³ And they were assembled against Moses and against Aaron, and said to them, You take too much! For all the congregation, all of them are holy, and Jehovah is among them. Why then do you lift up yourselves above the assembly of Jehovah?

¹³ Is it a small thing that you have brought us up out of a land flowing with milk and honey, to kill us in the wilderness, but must you also certainly seize dominion over us?

²⁷ But the one wronging the neighbor thrust him away, saying, "Who appointed you a ruler and a judge over us? ²⁸ Do you not want to do away with me in the way you did away with the Egyptian yesterday?" Ex. 2:14

³⁸ This is the one who was in the congregation in the wilderness with the Angel who spoke to him in Mount Sinai, and with our fathers, who received living words to give to us, ³⁹ to whom our fathers did not desire to be subject, but thrust him away, and turned their hearts back to Egypt,

⁵¹ Oh stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and in the ears! You always fell against the Holy Spirit. As your fathers did, you also did .

¹³ Behold, My Servant shall rule wisely; He shall be exalted and lifted up and be very high.

²⁴ And answering, Jesus said to them, I also will ask you one thing, which if you tell Me, I also will tell you by what authority I do these things.

¹ Now in those days John the Baptist came preaching in the wilderness of Judea, ² and saying, Repent! For the kingdom of Heaven has drawn near. ³ For this is he spoken of by Isaiah the prophet, saying: "The voice of one crying in the wilderness: Prepare the way of the Lord! Make His paths straight!" Isa. 40:3 ⁴ And John himself had his clothing from hairs of a camel, and a belt of leather about his loin. And his food was locusts and wild honey. ⁵ Then Jerusalem and all Judea went out to him, and all the neighborhood of the Jordan, ⁶ and were baptized by him in the Jordan, confessing their sins. ⁷ But seeing many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to his baptism, he said to them, Offspring of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the wrath to come? ⁸ Therefore, bring forth fruits worthy of repentance. ⁹ And do not think to say within yourselves, We have a father, Abraham. For I say to you that God is able to raise up children to Abraham from these stones. ¹⁰ But already the axe is even laid at the root of the trees; therefore, any tree not bringing forth good fruit is cut down and is thrown into fire. ¹¹ I indeed baptize you in water to repentance; but He who is coming after me is stronger than I, whose sandals I am not fit to carry. He will baptize you in the Holy Spirit and fire, ¹² whose fan is in His hand, and He will cleanse His floor and will gather His wheat into the barn. But He will burn up the chaff with fire that cannot be put out. ¹³ Then Jesus arrived from Galilee to the Jordan, to John, to be baptized by him. ¹⁴ But John restrained Him, saying, I have need to be baptized by You, and do You come to me? ¹⁵ But answering, Jesus said to him, Allow it now, for it is becoming to us this way to fulfill all righteousness. Then he allowed Him. ¹⁶ And having been baptized, Jesus went up immediately from the water. And, behold! The heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God coming down as a dove, and coming upon Him. ¹⁷ And behold! A voice out of the heaven saying, This is My Son, the Beloved, in whom I have found delight. Psa. 2:7; Gen. 22:2; Isa. 42:1

¹ The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, ² as it has been written in the Prophets, "Behold, I send My messenger before Your face, who will prepare Your way before You; ³ the voice of one crying in the wilderness. Prepare the way of the Lord, make His paths straight." Mal. 3:1; Isa. 40:3 ⁴ John came baptizing in the wilderness and proclaiming a baptism of repentance for remission of sins. ⁵ And all the Judean country and those of Jerusalem went out to him, and were all baptized by him in the Jordan River, confessing their sins. ⁶ And John was clothed in camel's hair, and a leather girdle about his loin, and eating locusts and wild honey. ⁷ And he proclaimed, saying, He who comes after me is mightier than I, of whom I am not fit to stoop down to loosen the thong of His sandals. ⁸ I indeed baptized you in water, but He will baptize you in the Holy Spirit. ⁹ And it happened in those days, Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee and was baptized by John in the Jordan. ¹⁰ And going up from the water, immediately He saw the heavens being torn, and the Spirit coming down as a dove upon Him. ¹¹ And there was a voice out of the heavens, You are My Son, the Beloved, in whom I take delight. Psa. 2:7; Gen. 22:2; Isa. 42:1

¹³ But I say to you, Elijah also has come and they did to him whatever they desired, even as it has been written of him.

¹ And in the fifteenth year of the government of Tiberius Caesar, Pontius Pilate governing Judea, and Herod ruling as tetrarch of Galilee, and his brother Philip ruling as tetrarch of Iturea and the Trachonitis country, and Lysanias ruling as tetrarch of Abilene, ² upon the high priesthood of Annas and Caiaphas, the word of God came on John the son of Zacharias in the desert. ³ And he came into the neighborhood of the Jordan proclaiming a baptism of repentance for remission of sins, ⁴ as it has been written in the roll of the words of Isaiah the prophet, saying: " the voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare the way of the Lord, make His paths straight. ⁵ every valley shall be filled up, and every mountain and hill shall be made low; and the crooked places shall be made into straight, and the rough into smooth ways;" ⁶ "and all flesh shall see the salvation of God." Isa. 40:35 ⁷ Then he said to the crowds going out to be baptized by him, Offspring of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the coming wrath? ⁸ Then bring forth fruits worthy of repentance, and do not begin to say within yourselves, We have Abraham as father. For I say to you that God is able to raise up children to Abraham out of these stones. ⁹ And also the axe is already laid to the root of the trees; therefore, every tree not producing good fruit is being cut down and being thrown into the fire. ¹⁰ And the crowd asked him, saying, What then shall we do? ¹¹ And answering, he said to them, The one that has two tunics, let him give to him that has not. And the one that has foods, let him do the same. ¹² And tax collectors also came to be baptized. And they said to him, Teacher, what shall we do? ¹³ And he said to them, Continue to do no more than that commanded to you. ¹⁴ And also ones serving as soldiers asked him, saying, And we, what shall we do? And he said to them, Do not shake violently anyone nor accuse falsely, and be satisfied with your pay. ¹⁵ But the people were expecting, and all reasoning in their hearts about John, lest perhaps he is the Christ, ¹⁶ John answered all, saying, I indeed baptize you with water; but He stronger than I comes, of whom I am not fit to loosen the thong of His sandals. He will baptize you in the Holy Spirit and fire, ¹⁷ whose sifting fan is in His hand; and He will fully purge His threshing-floor, and will gather the wheat into His barn, but He will burn: the chaff with fire that cannot be put out. ¹⁸ And then indeed exhorting many different things, he preached the gospel to the people. ¹⁹ But Herod the tetrarch, being reproved by him concerning his brother Philip's wife, Herodias, and concerning all the evil things Herod did, ²⁰ he also added this above all, he even shut up John in the prison.

⁶ There was a man sent from God; his name was John. ⁷ He came for a witness, that he might witness concerning the Light, that all might believe through Him. ⁸ He was not that Light, but that he might witness concerning the Light.

¹⁵ John witnesses concerning Him, and has cried out, saying, This One was He of whom I said, He coming after me has been before me, for He was preceding me. ¹⁶ And out of His fullness we all received, and grace on top of grace. ¹⁷ For the Law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. ¹⁸ No one has seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, that One reveals Him . ¹⁹ And this is the witness of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites that they might ask him, Who are you? ²⁰ And he acknowledged and did not deny; yea, he acknowledged, I am not the Christ. ²¹ And they asked him, What, then? Are you Elijah? And he said, I am not. Are you the Prophet? And he answered, No. ²² Then they said to him, Who are you, that we may give an answer to those sending us? What do you say about yourself? ²³ He said, "I am a voice crying in the wilderness:" "Make straight" "the way of the Lord," as Isaiah the prophet said. Isa. 40:3 ²⁴ And those who had been sent were of the Pharisees. ²⁵ And they asked him and said to him, Why then do you baptize, if you are not the Christ, nor Elijah, nor the Prophet? ²⁶ John answered them, saying, I baptize in water, but One stands in your midst whom you do not know; ²⁷ This One it is who has come after me, who has been before me, of whom I am not worthy that I should loose the thong of His sandal. ²⁸ These things took place in Bethabara beyond the Jordan, where John was baptizing. ²⁹ On the morrow, John sees Jesus coming toward him and said, Behold! The Lamb of God, taking away the sin of the world! ³⁰ This is He about whom I said, After me comes a Man who has been before me, for He was preceding me. ³¹ And I did not know Him; but that He be revealed to Israel, for this reason I came baptizing in water. ³² And John witnessed, saying, I have seen the Spirit coming down as a dove out of Heaven, and He abode on Him. ³³ And I did not know Him, but the One sending me to baptize in water, that One said to me, On whomever you see the Spirit coming down and abiding on Him, this is the One baptizing in the Holy Spirit. ³⁴ And I have seen and have witnessed that this One is the Son of God. ³⁵ Again on the morrow, John and two from his disciples stood. ³⁶ And looking at Jesus walking, he said, Behold, the Lamb of God!

²⁵ Then a question from John's disciples arose with the Jews about purifying. ²⁶ And they came to John and said to him, Teacher, the one who was with you beyond the Jordan, to whom you have witnessed, behold, this one baptizes, and all are coming to Him. ²⁷ John answered and said, A man is able to receive nothing unless it has been given to him from Heaven. ²⁸ You yourselves witness to me that I said, I am not the Christ, but that having been sent, I am going before that One. ²⁹ The one having the bride is the bridegroom. But the friend of the bridegroom, standing and hearing him, rejoices with joy because of the bridegroom's voice. Then this my joy has been fulfilled. ³⁰ That One must increase, but I must decrease. ³¹ The One coming from above is above all. The one being of the earth is earthy, and speaks of the earth. The One coming out of Heaven is above all. ³² And what He has seen and heard, this He testifies, and no one receives His testimony. ³³ The one receiving His testimony has sealed that God is true. ³⁴ For the One whom God sent speaks the words of God, for God does not give the Spirit by measure. ³⁵ The Father loves the Son and has given all things into His hand. ³⁶ The one believing into the Son has everlasting life; but the one disobeying the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.

⁷ But as these were going, Jesus began to say to the crowds about John, What did you go out into the wilderness to see? A reed being shaken with the wind? ⁸ But what did you go out to see? A man clothed in soft clothing ? Behold, those wearing soft things are in the houses of kings. ⁹ But what did you go out to see? A prophet? Yes, I say to you, and one more excellent than a prophet. ¹⁰ For this is the one about whom it has been written: "Behold, I send My messenger before Your face, who shall prepare Your way before You." Mal. 3:1 ¹¹ Truly I say to you, Not has arisen among those born of a woman any greater than John the Baptist. But the least in the kingdom of Heaven is greater than he is. ¹² But from the days of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of Heaven suffers violence, and the violent seize it. ¹³ For all the Prophets and the Law prophesied until John. ¹⁴ And if you are willing to receive, he is Elijah, the one about to come.

³¹ Which of the two did the will of the father? They said to Him, The first. Jesus said to them, Truly I say to you, the tax collectors and the harlots go before you into the kingdom of God. ³² For John came to you in the way of righteousness, and you did not believe him. But the tax-collectors and the harlots believed him. And seeing, you did not repent afterwards to believe him.

¹⁵ John witnesses concerning Him, and has cried out, saying, This One was He of whom I said, He coming after me has been before me, for He was preceding me.

²⁹ On the morrow, John sees Jesus coming toward him and said, Behold! The Lamb of God, taking away the sin of the world!

³⁴ And I have seen and have witnessed that this One is the Son of God.

³⁶ And looking at Jesus walking, he said, Behold, the Lamb of God!

⁵ Then Jerusalem and all Judea went out to him, and all the neighborhood of the Jordan, ⁶ and were baptized by him in the Jordan, confessing their sins.

⁹ But what did you go out to see? A prophet? Yes, I say to you, and one more excellent than a prophet.

⁵ And desiring to kill him, he feared the multitude, because they held him as a prophet.

⁴⁶ And seeking to lay hold of Him, they feared the crowds, because they held Him as a prophet.

²⁶ But what did you go out to see? A prophet? Yes, I say to you, even more than a prophet. ²⁷ This is he about whom it has been written: "Behold, I send My messenger" before Your face, who "will prepare Your way before You." Mal. 3:1 ²⁸ For I say to you, Among those born of a woman, no prophet is greater than John the Baptist. But the least one in the kingdom of God is greater than he is. ²⁹ And all the people and the tax collectors hearing, they justified God, being baptized with the baptism of John.

² And the chief priests and the scribes sought how to destroy Him; for they feared the people.

⁴¹ And many came to Him and said, John indeed did no miracle, but all things that John said concerning this One were true.

²⁶ Then the commander going with the officers, they brought them, not with force, for they feared the people, that they might not be stoned.

¹³ He takes the wise in their craftiness, and the counsel of the wily ones is hastened.

⁴ Answer not a fool according to his foolishness, lest you become like him, even you. ⁵ Answer a fool according to his foolishness, that he not be wise in his own eyes.

³ The ox knows his owner, and the ass his master's manger, but Israel does not know; My people have not understood.

⁹ And He said, Go and tell this people, Hearing you hear, but do not understand; and seeing you see, but do not know. ¹⁰ Make the heart of this people fat, and make his ears heavy, and shut his eyes, that he not see with his eyes, and hear with his ears, and understand with his heart, and turn back, and one heals him.

⁹ Wait and wonder! Blind yourselves, and be blind! They are drunk, but not with wine! They stagger, but not with fermented drink! ¹⁰ for Jehovah has poured out on you the spirit of deep sleep, and has closed your eyes. He has covered the prophets and your heads, the seers. ¹¹ And the whole vision to you is like the words of a sealed hook which they give to one knowing books, saying, Please read this. Then he says, I am not able, for it is sealed. ¹² And the hook is given to one who does not know books, saying, Please read this. Then he says, I do not know books. ¹³ And the Lord says, Because this people draws near with its mouth, and they honor Me with its lip; but its heart is far from Me, and their fear of Me is taught by the command of men; ¹⁴ So, behold, I am adding to do a wonders with this people, the wonder, even a wonder. For the wisdom of his wise ones shall perish, and the wit of his witty ones shall be hidden.

¹⁹ Who is blind but My servant? Or deaf, as My messenger whom I send? Who is blind as he who is at peace, and blind as Jehovah's servant? ²⁰ You see many things, but do not observe; your ears are open, but not any hears.

¹⁰ His watchmen are blind; they all do not know; they are all dumb dogs; they cannot bark, dreaming, lying down, loving to slumber;

⁷ Also the stork in the heavens knows her seasons, and the turtledove and the swallow and the thrush observe the time of their coming. But My people do not know the judgment of Jehovah. ⁸ How do you say, We are wise, and the law of Jehovah is with us? Behold, the lying pen of the scribes has certainly worked deceit. ⁹ The wise are ashamed; they are terrified and are captured. Behold, they have rejected the word of Jehovah, and what wisdom is theirs?

⁶ My people are cut off for lack of knowledge. Because you rejected the knowledge, I also rejected you from being priest to Me. Since you have forgotten the law of your God, I will forget your sons, even I.

⁷ For the lips of the priest should guard knowledge, and they should seek the law from his mouth; for he is the messenger of Jehovah of hosts. ⁸ But you have turned out of the way; you have caused many to stumble at the law. You have corrupted the covenant of Levi, says Jehovah of hosts.

¹⁴ Leave them alone. They are blind leaders of the blind; and if the blind lead the blind, both will fall into a pit.

⁴ An evil and adulterous generation seeks a sign, and a sign will not be given to it, except the sign of Jonah the prophet. And leaving them, He went away.

²⁷ And answering Jesus, they said, We do not know. And He said to them, Neither do I tell you by what authority I do these things.

¹⁶ Woe to you, blind guides, who say, Whoever swears by the Holy Place, it is nothing; but whoever swears by the gold of the Holy Place is a debtor. ¹⁷ Fools and blind! For which is greater, the gold, or the Holy Place that sanctifies the gold? ¹⁸ And you say, Whoever swears by the altar, it is nothing; but whoever swears by the gift on it, he is a debtor. ¹⁹ Fools and blind! For which is greater, the gift, or the altar that sanctifies the gift? ²⁰ Then the one swearing by the altar swears by it, and by all things on it. ²¹ And the one swearing by the Holy Place swears by it, and by the One dwelling in it. ²² And the one swearing by Heaven swears by the throne of God, and by the One sitting on it. ²³ Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you pay tithes of mint and dill and cummin, and you have left aside the weightier matters of the Law: judgment, and mercy, and faith. It was right to do these, and not to have left those aside. ²⁴ Blind guides, straining out the gnat, but swallowing the camel! ²⁵ Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you cleanse the outside of the cup and of the dish, but within they are full of robbery and excess. ²⁶ Blind Pharisee! First cleanse the inside of the cup and of the dish, that the outside of them may become clean also.

²¹ In the same hour Jesus rejoiced in the Spirit, and said, I praise You, Father, Lord of Heaven and of earth, that You hid these things from the sophisticated and cunning and revealed them to babes; yes, Father, because so it was pleasing before You. ²² All things were delivered to Me by My Father, and no one knows who the Son is except the Father; and who is the Father, except the Son, and he to whom the Son may desire to reveal Him .

⁶⁶ And when day came, the body of elders of the people, the chief priests and scribes, were gathered. And they led Him away into their sanhedrin, saying, ⁶⁷ If you are the Christ, tell us. And He said to them, If I tell you, you will in no way believe. ⁶⁸ And also if I ask, in no way will you answer Me, or let Me go. ⁶⁹ From now on the Son of man will be sitting at the right of the power of God. Psa. 110:1

¹⁰ Jesus answered and said to him, You are the teacher of Israel, and you do not know these things?

²⁷ He answered them, I told you already, and you did not hear. Why do you wish to hear again? Do you also desire to become disciples of Him?

¹⁸ For God's wrath is revealed from Heaven on all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, holding the truth in unrighteousness, ¹⁹ because the thing known of God is clearly known within them, for God revealed it to them. ²⁰ for the unseen things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things made, both His eternal power and Godhead, for them to be without excuse. ²¹ Because knowing God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful. But they became vain in their reasonings, and their undiscerning heart was darkened. ²² Professing to be wise, they became foolish

²⁸ And even as they did not think fit to have God in their knowledge, God gave them up to a reprobate mind, to do the things not right,

¹⁵ But until today, when Moses is being read, a veil lies on their heart.

³ But also if our gospel is being hidden, it has been hidden in those being lost, ⁴ in whom the god of this age has blinded the thoughts of the unbelieving, so that the brightness of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should not dawn on them.

¹⁰ and in all deceit of unrighteousness in those being lost, because they did not receive the love of the truth in order for them to be saved. ¹¹ And because of this, God will send to them a working of error, for them to believe the lie, ¹² that all may be judged, those not believing the truth, but who have delighted in unrighteousness.
