¹ And after these things, the Lord also appointed seventy others, and sent them two by two before His face into every city and place, even to where He was about to come.

¹⁶ And Jehovah said to Moses, assemble to Me seventy men of the elders of Israel, whom you have known that they are elders of the people, and its officers. And you shall take them to the tabernacle of the congregation; and they shall station themselves there with you.

²⁴ And Moses went out and spoke to the people the words of Jehovah and gathered seventy men of the elders of the people, and caused them to stand around the tabernacle. ²⁵ And Jehovah came down in the cloud and spoke to him, and took of the spirit which was on him, and put it on the seventy men of the elders. And it happened, as the spirit rested on them, that they prophesied, but they did not continue. ²⁶ And two of the men were left in the camp, the name of the one being Eldad, and the name of the second Medad; and the spirit rested on them, and they were among those written, but did not go out to the tabernacle And they prophesied in the camp.

¹ And having called His twelve disciples, He gave them authority over unclean spirits, so as to throw them out, and to heal every disease and every weakness of body. ² And the names of the twelve apostles are these: First, Simon who is called Peter and his brother Andrew, James the son of Zebedee and his brother John, ³ Philip, and Bartholomew, Thomas, and Matthew the tax-collector, James the son of Alpheus, and Lebbaeus, whose last name was Thaddaeus, ⁴ Simon the Canaanite, and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed Him.

⁷ And He called the Twelve near and began to send them out two by two. And He gave them authority over the unclean spirits, ⁸ and charged them that they take nothing in the way, except only a staff; no bag, no bread, no copper in the belt; ⁹ but having tied on sandals, and not putting on two tunics. ¹⁰ And He said to them, Wherever you enter into a house, remain there until you go out from there. ¹¹ And as many as will not receive you, nor hear from you, having gone out from there, shake off the dust under your feet for a testimony to them. Truly I say to you, it will be more bearable for Sodom or Gomorrah in Judgment Day than for that city. ¹² And going out, they proclaimed that men should repent. ¹³ And they cast out many demons, and anointed with oil and healed many sick ones.

¹⁷ And he will go out before Him in the spirit and power of Elijah "to turn the hearts of fathers to their children," and disobedient ones to the wisdom of the just, to make ready a people having been prepared for the Lord. Mal. 4:5, 6

⁷⁶ And you, child, will be called Prophet of the Most High, for you will go before the face of the Lord to prepare His ways, Mal. 3:1

⁴ as it has been written in the roll of the words of Isaiah the prophet, saying: " the voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare the way of the Lord, make His paths straight. ⁵ every valley shall be filled up, and every mountain and hill shall be made low; and the crooked places shall be made into straight, and the rough into smooth ways;" ⁶ "and all flesh shall see the salvation of God." Isa. 40:35

¹³ And seeing her, the Lord felt pity over her and said to her, Stop weeping.

¹ And having called together His twelve disciples, He gave them power and authority over all the demons, and to heal diseases. ² And He sent them to proclaim the kingdom of God, and to heal the ones being sick.

⁵² And He sent messengers before His face. And going they went into a village of Samaritans, so as to make ready for Him.

² And while they were doing service to the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, So then separate both Barnabas and Saul to Me, for the work to which I have called them. ³ Then, having fasted and prayed, and placing hands on them, they let them go. ⁴ Then these indeed sent out by the Holy Spirit went down to Seleucia, and from there sailed away to Cyprus.

³ And I will give to My two witnesses, and they will prophesy a thousand, two hundred and sixty days, dressed in sackcloth. ⁴ These are the two olive trees, and the two lampstands, standing before the God of the earth. ⁵ And if anyone desires to harm them, fire comes out of their mouth and devours their enemies. And if anyone desires to harm them, so it is right for him to be killed. ⁶ These have the authority to shut up the heaven, that no rain may rain in the days of their prophecy. And they have authority over the waters, to turn them into blood, and to strike the earth with every plague, as often as they desire. ⁷ And when they complete their witness, the beast coming up out of the abyss will make war with them, and will overcome them, and will kill them. ⁸ And their bodies will be on the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom, and Egypt, where our Lord was crucified. ⁹ And some from the peoples and tribes and tongues and nations will see their dead bodies three days and a half; and they do not allow their dead bodies to be put in tombs. ¹⁰ And those living on the earth will rejoice over them, and will make merry. And they will send one another gifts, because these two prophets tormented those living on the earth.
