³⁷ If anyone thinks to be a prophet, or a spiritual one, let him recognize the things I write to you, that they are a command of the Lord.

³ And he took up his parable and said, The saying of Balaam the son of Beor, and the saying of the man whose eyes have been opened; ⁴ the saying of him who hears the words of God, who sees the vision of the Almighty, fallen down, yet with open eyes:

¹⁶ the saying of him who hears the words of God, and knows the knowledge of the Most High, who sees the vision of the Almighty, falling down, yet with open eyes:

¹⁶ The one hearing you hears Me, and the one rejecting you also rejects Me, and the one rejecting Me also rejects the One having sent Me.

³ For through the grace which is given to me, I say to everyone being among you, not to have high thoughts beyond what is right to think. But set your mind to be right-minded, even as God divided a measure of faith to each.

²⁵ But about virgins, I have no command of the Lord. But I give judgment, as having received mercy by the Lord to be faithful.

⁴⁰ But she is happier if she remains so, according to my judgment. And I think I also have the Spirit of God.

² But if anyone thinks to know anything, he still has known nothing as he ought to know.

¹ If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but I do not have love, I have become as sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. ² And if I have prophecies, and know all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith so as to move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. ³ And if I give out all my goods, and if I deliver my body that I be burned, but I do not have love, I am not profited anything.

⁷ Do you look at things according to appearance? If anyone has persuaded himself to be of Christ, let him think this again as to himself, that as he is of Christ, so also we are of Christ.

¹² For we dare not rank or compare ourselves with some of those commending themselves, but they measuring themselves among themselves and comparing themselves to themselves, are not perceptive.

⁴ For if, indeed, the one coming proclaims another Jesus, whom we have not proclaimed, or if you receive another spirit which you have not received, or another gospel which you never accepted, you might well endure these .

¹² But what I do, I also will do, that I may cut off the opportunity of those desiring an opportunity, so that in that which they boast, they be found also as we. ¹³ For such ones are false apostles, deceitful workers transforming themselves into apostles of Christ. ¹⁴ Did not Satan marvelously transform himself into an angel of light? ¹⁵ It is not a great thing, then, if also his ministers transform themselves as ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works.

⁸ For the one sowing to his flesh will reap corruption of the flesh. But the one sowing to the Spirit will reap everlasting life from the Spirit.

¹ For the rest, then brothers, we beg you and we exhort in the Lord Jesus, even as you received from us how you ought to walk and to please God, that you abound more. ² For you know what injunctions we gave you through the Lord Jesus. ³ For this is God's will, your sanctification, for you to abstain from fornication, ⁴ each one of you to know to possess his vessel in sanctification and honor, ⁵ not in passion of lust, even as also the nations do, not knowing God; ⁶ not to go beyond and to overreach his brother in the matter, because the avenger concerning all these is the Lord, even as we told you before, and solemnly testified. ⁷ For God did not call us to impurity, but in sanctification. ⁸ Therefore, the one that despises does not despise man, but God, even He giving His Holy Spirit to us.

² the words having been spoken before by the holy prophets, and the command of the Lord and Savior by us, the apostles;

⁶ We are of God; the one knowing God hears us. Whoever is not of God does not hear us. From this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error.

¹⁷ But you, beloved, remember the words spoken before by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ,
