¹ Paul, a slave of Jesus Christ, a called apostle, separated to the gospel of God, ² which He promised before through His prophets in holy Scriptures, ³ concerning His Son who came of the seed of David according to flesh, ⁴ who was marked out Son of God in power, according to the Spirit of holiness, by resurrection of the dead, Jesus Christ our Lord; ⁵ by whom we received grace and apostleship to obedience of faith among all the nations, for His name's sake, ⁶ among whom are you also, called-out ones of Jesus Christ; ⁷ to all those who are in Rome, beloved of God, called-out saints, Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. ⁸ First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is spoken of in all the world. ⁹ For God is my witness, whom I serve in my spirit in the gospel of His Son, how without ceasing I make mention of you ¹⁰ always at my prayers, beseeching if by any means now at length I shall be blessed by the will of God to come to you. ¹¹ For I long to see you, that I may impart some spiritual gift to you, for the establishing of you; ¹² and this is to be comforted together among you, through the faith in one another, both yours and mine. ¹³ But I do not wish you to be ignorant, brothers, that often I purposed to come to you, and was kept back until the present, that I might have some fruit among you also, even as among the other nations. ¹⁴ I am a debtor both to Greeks and to foreigners, both to wise, and to foolish, ¹⁵ so as far as in me lies, I am eager to preach the gospel to you in Rome also. ¹⁶ For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation to everyone believing, both to Jew first, and to Greek; ¹⁷ for in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; even as it has been written, "But the just shall live by" "faith." Hab. 2:4 ¹⁸ For God's wrath is revealed from Heaven on all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, holding the truth in unrighteousness, ¹⁹ because the thing known of God is clearly known within them, for God revealed it to them. ²⁰ for the unseen things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things made, both His eternal power and Godhead, for them to be without excuse. ²¹ Because knowing God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful. But they became vain in their reasonings, and their undiscerning heart was darkened. ²² Professing to be wise, they became foolish ²³ and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into a likeness of an image of corruptible man, and of birds, and four-footed animals, and creeping things. ²⁴ Because of this, God gave them up to impurity in the lusts of their hearts, their bodies to be dishonored among themselves, ²⁵ who changed the truth of God into the lie, and worshiped and served the created thing more than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen. ²⁶ Because of this, God gave them up to dishonorable passions, for even their females changed the natural use to that contrary to nature. ²⁷ And likewise, the males also forsaking the natural use of the female burned in their lust toward one another, males with males working out shamefulness, and receiving back within themselves the reward which was fitting for their error. ²⁸ And even as they did not think fit to have God in their knowledge, God gave them up to a reprobate mind, to do the things not right, ²⁹ having been filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, iniquity, covetousness, malice, being full of envy, murder, quarrels, deceit, evil habits, becoming whisperers, ³⁰ slanderers, God-haters, insolent, proud, braggarts, devisers of evil things, disobedient to parents, ³¹ without discernment, perfidious, without natural affection, unforgiving, unmerciful, ³² who knowing the righteous order of God, that those practicing such things are worthy of death, not only do them, but also applaud those practicing them .

²⁴ But I have said to you, You shall surely possess their land; and, I, I am giving it to you to possess it, a land flowing with milk and honey; I am Jehovah your God, who has set you apart from the nations. ²⁵ And you shall make a difference between the clean animals and the unclean, and between the unclean fowl and the clean. And you shall not defile yourself by beast or by fowl, or by anything which swarms the ground, which I have set apart to you as unclean; ²⁶ and you shall be holy to Me, for I, Jehovah, am holy; and I have set you apart from the nations to become Mine.

⁹ is it but a small thing to you that the God of Israel has separated you from the congregation of Israel to bring you near to Himself, to do the service of the tabernacle of Jehovah, and to stand before the congregation to minister to them? ¹⁰ Yea, He has brought you near, and all your brothers, the sons of Levi, with you. And will you seek the priesthood also?

⁸ At that time Jehovah separated the tribe of Levi, to bear the ark of the covenant before Jehovah, to stand before Jehovah and to minister to Him, and to bless in His name, until today.

¹³ The sons of Amram: Aaron and Moses. And Aaron was separated so that he should sanctify the most holy things, he and his sons perpetually to burn incense before Jehovah, to minister to Him and to bless in His name perpetually.

¹ Hear Me, coastlands, and you people from afar, and prick up your ear, Jehovah called Me from the womb; He mentioned My name from My mother's belly.

⁵ I knew you before I formed you in the belly; and before you came out of the womb, I consecrated you. I appointed you a prophet to the nations.

¹⁵ And He said to them, Going into all the world, preach the gospel to all the creation. ¹⁶ The one believing and being baptized will be saved. And the one not believing will be condemned.

¹⁰ And the angel said to them, Do not fear. For, behold, I announce good news to you, a great joy, which will be to all people, ¹¹ because today a Savior, who is Christ the Lord, was born to you in the city of David.

²⁶ If anyone serves Me, let him follow Me; and where I am, there My servant will also be. And if anyone serves Me, the Father will honor him.

¹⁴ If then I washed your feet, the Lord and the Teacher, you also ought to wash the feet of one another. ¹⁵ For I gave you an example, that as I did to you, you also should do. ¹⁶ Truly, truly, I say to you, a slave is not greater than his lord, nor a messenger greater than the one sending him.

¹⁵ I no longer call you slaves, for the slave does not know what his lord does. But I called you friends, because all things which I heard from My Father I made known to you.

²⁰ Remember the Word which I said to you, A slave is not greater than his lord. If they persecuted Me, they also will persecute you. If they kept My Word, they also will keep yours.

¹⁵ And the Lord said to him, Go, for this one is a chosen vessel to Me, to bear My name before nations and kings and the sons of Israel.

² And while they were doing service to the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, So then separate both Barnabas and Saul to Me, for the work to which I have called them. ³ Then, having fasted and prayed, and placing hands on them, they let them go. ⁴ Then these indeed sent out by the Holy Spirit went down to Seleucia, and from there sailed away to Cyprus.

⁹ But Saul, who is also Paul, being filled with the Holy Spirit, and looking intently on him,

²⁴ But I make account of nothing, nor do I hold my life precious to myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, fully to testify the gospel of the grace of God.

⁴⁰ And he allowing him, standing on the stairs, Paul signaled with his hand to the people. And much silence taking place, he spoke in the Hebrew dialect, saying,

⁷ And I fell to the ground, and heard a voice saying to me, Saul, Saul, why do you persecute Me?

¹³ coming to me and standing by, he said to me, Brother Saul, look up. And in the same hour I looked up on him. ¹⁴ And he said, The God of our fathers appointed you to know His will, and to see the Just One, and to hear a voice out of His mouth; ¹⁵ for you shall be a witness for Him to all men of what you have seen and heard.

²¹ And He said to me, Go, for I will send you to the nations afar off.

¹ And Agrippa said to Paul, It is allowed for you yourself to speak. Then Paul made a defense, stretching out the hand:

¹⁴ And all of us falling to the ground, I heard a voice speaking to me, and saying in the Hebrew dialect, Saul, Saul why do you persecute Me? It is hard for you to kick against the prods.

¹⁶ but rise up and stand on your feet, for it is for this reason I appeared to you, to appoint you a servant and a witness both of what you saw, and in what I shall appear to you, ¹⁷ having delivered you from the people and the nations, to whom I now send you, ¹⁸ to open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the authority of Satan to God, in order that they may receive remission of sins, and an inheritance among those being sanctified by faith in Me.

²³ For tonight stood by me an angel of God, whose I am, and whom I serve,

⁵ by whom we received grace and apostleship to obedience of faith among all the nations, for His name's sake,

⁹ For God is my witness, whom I serve in my spirit in the gospel of His Son, how without ceasing I make mention of you

¹⁶ For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation to everyone believing, both to Jew first, and to Greek;

¹³ For I speak to you, the nations, since I am an apostle of the nations, (I glorify my ministry),

¹⁶ for me to be a minister of Jesus Christ to the nations, sacredly ministering the gospel of God, that the offering of the nations might be acceptable, sanctified by the Holy Spirit.

²⁹ And I know that I will come to you in the fullness of the blessing of the gospel of Christ when I come.

¹⁸ For such ones do not serve our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly, and by smooth speaking and flattering they deceive the hearts of those without guile.

²⁵ Now to Him who is able to establish you according to my gospel, and the proclaiming of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery having been kept unvoiced during eternal times,

¹ Paul, a called apostle of Jesus Christ, by the will of God, and Sosthenes the brother,

¹ Am I not an apostle? Am I not free? Have I not seen our Lord Jesus Christ? Are you not my work in the Lord?

¹⁶ For if I announce the gospel, no glory is to me; for necessity is laid on me, and it is woe to me if I do not announce the gospel. ¹⁷ For if I do this willingly, I have a reward; but if unwillingly, I am entrusted with a stewardship. ¹⁸ What then is my reward? That announcing the gospel I may make the gospel of Christ free, so as not to use fully my authority in the gospel.

⁸ and last of all, even as if to one born out of time, He was also seen by me. ⁹ For I am the least of the apostles, who am not sufficient to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. ¹⁰ But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace which was toward me has not been without fruit, but I labored more abundantly than all of them, yet not I, but the grace of God with me.

¹ Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ, through the will of God, and Timothy the brother, to the church of God being in Corinth, with all the saints being in all Achaia,

⁵ For we do not proclaim ourselves, but Christ Jesus as Lord, and ourselves your slaves for the sake of Jesus.

⁵ For I judge myself to have come behind the highest apostles in nothing.

¹¹ Boasting, I have become foolish. You compelled me. For I ought to be commended by you, for I lacked nothing of the highest apostles, even though I am nothing.

¹ Paul, an apostle, not from men nor through man, but through Jesus Christ and God the Father, the One raising Him from the dead,

¹⁰ For do I now persuade men or God? Or do I seek to please men? For if I yet pleased men, I would not be a slave of Christ. ¹¹ And, brothers, I make known to you the gospel preached by me, that it is not according to man. ¹² For I did not receive it from man, nor was I taught it, but by a revelation of Jesus Christ. ¹³ For you heard my way of life when I was in Judaism, that with surpassing zeal I persecuted the church of God and ravaged it. ¹⁴ And I progressed in Judaism beyond many contemporaries in my race, being much more a zealot of the traditions of my ancestors. ¹⁵ But when God was pleased, "He having separated me from my mother's womb" and having called through His grace, Isa. 49:1 ¹⁶ to reveal His Son in me, that I might preach Him among the nations, immediately I did not confer with flesh and blood, ¹⁷ nor did I go up to Jerusalem to the apostles before me, but I went away into Arabia and returned again to Damascus.

¹ Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, to the saints being in Ephesus and faithful in Christ Jesus:

¹³ in whom also you, hearing the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, in whom also believing you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise,

⁵ which was not made known to the sons of men in other generations, as it now has been revealed to His holy apostles and prophets in the Spirit, ⁶ for the nations to be joint-heirs, and a joint-body and joint-sharers of His promise in Christ through the gospel, ⁷ of which I was made a minister according to the gift of the grace of God given to me, according to the working of His power.

¹¹ And indeed He gave some to be apostles; and some prophets; and some evangelists; and some pastors and teachers;

¹ Paul, and Timothy, slaves of Jesus Christ, to all the saints in Christ Jesus who are in Philippi, with the overseers and ministers:

¹¹ and "every tongue should confess" that Jesus Christ is "Lord," to the glory of God the Father. Isa. 45:23

⁶ according to zeal, persecuting the church; according to righteousness in Law, being blameless. ⁷ But what things were gain to me, these I have counted loss because of Christ.

¹ Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, and Timothy the brother,

²⁵ of which I became a minister, according to the administration of God given to me for you, to fulfill the Word of God,

² But also suffering before and being insulted in Philippi, as you know, we were bold in our God to speak the gospel of God to you in much agony.

¹³ But we ought to thank God always concerning you, brothers, beloved by the Lord, because God chose you from the beginning to salvation in sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth, ¹⁴ to which He called you through our gospel, to obtain the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

¹¹ according to the gospel of the glory of the blessed God with which I was entrusted. ¹² And I have thanks to Him empowering me, our Lord Jesus Christ, because He counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry,

¹⁵ Faithful is the Word and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief. ¹⁶ But for this reason I received mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might show forth all long-suffering, for an example to those being about to believe on Him to everlasting life.

⁷ to which I was appointed a herald and apostle (I speak the truth in Christ, I do not lie), a teacher of the nations, in faith and truth.

¹ Paul, a slave of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ according to the faith of the elect of God and full knowledge of the truth according to godliness,

⁴ And no one takes the honor to himself, but he being called by God, even as Aaron also.

²⁶ For such a High Priest was fitting for us: holy, harmless, undefiled, and separated from sinners, and having become higher than the heavens;

¹ James, a slave of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes in the Dispersion, greeting:

¹ Simon Peter, a slave and apostle of Jesus Christ, to those equally precious with us, having obtained faith in the righteousness of our God and our Savior, Jesus Christ:

⁹ And he said to me, Behold! Stop! For I am your fellow-slave, and of your brothers the prophets, and of the ones keeping the words of this Book. Do worship to God.

⁷⁰ even as He spoke through the mouth of His holy prophets from the age before :

²⁶ Was it not necessary for the Christ to suffer these things, and to enter into His glory? ²⁷ And beginning from Moses, and from all the prophets, He explained to them the things about Himself in all the Scriptures.

⁴³ To this One all the Prophets witness, so that through His name everyone believing into Him will receive remission of sins.

⁶ And now for the hope of the promise having been made by God to the fathers, I stand being judged;

² Much every way. For first, indeed, that they were entrusted with the oracles of God.

²¹ But now a righteousness of God has been revealed apart from Law, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets,

²⁶ but now has been made plain, and by prophetic Scriptures, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known for obedience of faith to all the nations;

² on hope of eternal life which the God who does not lie promised before the eternal times,

¹⁵ And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her seed; He will bruise your head, and you shall bruise His heel.

¹² When your days are fulfilled, and you lie with your fathers, then I shall raise up your seed after you, who shall come out from your bowels, and I shall establish his kingdom. ¹³ He shall build a house for My Name, and I shall establish the throne of his kingdom forever. ¹⁴ I shall be a father to him, and he shall be a son to Me. When he sins, then I will chasten him with a rod of men, and with strokes of the sons of men. ¹⁵ But My mercy shall not be taken from him, as I took it from Saul, whom I put away from before you. ¹⁶ And your house shall be established, and your kingdom before you forever. Your throne shall be established forever.

⁷ I will declare concerning the statute of Jehovah: He said to Me, You are My Son. Today I have begotten You.

³⁶ His seed shall be forever, and his throne as the sun before Me. ³⁷ Like the moon, it shall be forever; and a faithful witness in the sky. Selah.

⁶ For a Child is born; to us a Son is given; and the government is on His shoulder; and His name is called Wonderful, Counselor, the mighty God, the everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace. ⁷ There is no end to the increase of His government and of peace on the throne of David, and on His kingdom, to order it, and to sustain it with justice and with righteousness, from now and forever. The zeal of Jehovah of Hosts will do this.

⁵ Behold, the days come, says Jehovah, that I will raise to David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and act wisely, and shall do justice and righteousness in the earth. ⁶ In His days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely. And this is His name by which He shall be called, Jehovah our Righteousness.

¹⁵ In those days, and at that time, I will cause a Branch of righteousness to grow up to David. And He shall do judgment and righteousness in the land. ¹⁶ In those days Judah shall be saved, and Jerusalem shall dwell in safety. And this is the name that shall be called on her: JEHOVAH OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS. ¹⁷ For so says Jehovah, Not a man sitting on the throne of the house of Israel will be cut off to David.

²⁶ then I also will reject the seed of Jacob, and My servant David, not to take of his seed to be rulers over the seed of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. For I will bring back their captivity and have pity on them.

¹¹ In that day I will raise up the booth of David that has fallen, and I will wall up its breaks. And I will raise up its ruins, and I will build it as the days of old;

¹ The Book of the genealogy of Jesus Christ the son of David, the son of Abraham:

⁶ and Jesse fathered David the king. And David the king fathered Solomon out of her who had been the wife of Uriah,

¹⁶ and Jacob fathered Joseph, the husband to be of Mary, out of whom Jesus was born, the One called Christ.

²⁰ And as he was thinking about these things, behold, an angel of the Lord was seen by him in a dream, saying, Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife. For that in her is fathered by the Holy Spirit. ²¹ And she will bear a son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He shall save His people from their sins. ²² And all this happened so that might be fulfilled that spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying, ²³ "Behold! The virgin will conceive in her womb and will bear a son, and they will call His name Emmanuel" (which translated is, God with us). Isa. 7:14

¹⁷ And behold! A voice out of the heaven saying, This is My Son, the Beloved, in whom I have found delight. Psa. 2:7; Gen. 22:2; Isa. 42:1

²⁷ And Jesus passing on from there, two blind ones followed Him, crying and saying, Have pity on us, Son of David.

²³ And all the crowds were amazed, and said, Is this not the son of David?

²² And, behold, a woman of Canaan coming forth from those borders cried out to Him, saying, Have pity on me, Lord, Son of David! My daughter is vilely demon-possessed.

⁴² saying, What do you think about the Christ? Whose son is He? They say to Him, David's. ⁴³ He said to them, Then how does David in Spirit call Him Lord, saying, ⁴⁴ "The Lord said to my Lord, Sit on My right until I place Your enemies as a footstool for Your feet?" LXX-Psa. 109:1; MT-Psa. 110:1 ⁴⁵ Then if David calls Him Lord, how is He his son?

⁶³ But Jesus kept silent. And answering, the high priest said to Him, I adjure you by the living God that you tell us if you are the Christ, the Son of God.

⁴³ He trusted on God. Let Him rescue him now, if He desires him. For he said, I am Son of God.

³¹ And behold! You will conceive in your womb and bear a Son, and you will call His name Jesus. ³² This One will be great and will be called Son of the Most High. And the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David. ³³ And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever; and of His kingdom there will be no end.

³⁵ And answering, the angel said to her, The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you, and for this reason that Holy One being born of you will be called Son of God.

⁶⁹ And He raised up a Horn of salvation for us in the house of His servant David;

⁴ And Joseph also went from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth to Judea, to the city of David which is called Bethlehem, because of his being of the house and family of David, ⁵ to be registered with Mariam, she having been betrothed to him as wife, she being pregnant. ⁶ And it happened as they were there, the days were fulfilled for her to bear.

¹⁴ And the Word became flesh and tabernacled among us. And we beheld His glory, glory as of an only begotten from the Father, full of grace and of truth.

³⁴ And I have seen and have witnessed that this One is the Son of God.

⁴⁹ Nathanael answered and said to Him, Rabbi, You are the Son of God; You are the King of Israel.

¹⁶ For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that everyone believing into Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. ¹⁷ For God did not send His Son into the world that He might judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him. ¹⁸ The one believing into Him is not condemned; but the one not believing has already been condemned, for he has not believed into the name of the only begotten Son of God.

³⁵ The Father loves the Son and has given all things into His hand. ³⁶ The one believing into the Son has everlasting life; but the one disobeying the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.

²⁵ Truly, truly, I say to you that an hour is coming, and now is, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and the ones hearing will live.

⁴² Has not the Scripture said that the Christ comes from the seed of David, and from Bethlehem, the village where David was? Mic. 5:2

³⁰ I and the Father are one!

³⁶ do you say of Him whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world, You blaspheme, because I said, I am Son of God?

²⁸ And Thomas answered and said to Him, My Lord and my God!

³¹ But these have been written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name.

³⁰ Being a prophet, then, and knowing that God swore with an oath to him that of the fruit of his loin, as concerning flesh, to raise the Christ to sit on his throne, see Psa. 132:11

¹³ The "God of Abraham and Isaac and Jacob," "the God of our fathers," Ex. 3:15 glorified His child Jesus, whom you delivered up, and denied Him in the presence of Pilate, that one having decided to set Him free.

³⁶ And as they were going along the highway they came on some water. And the eunuch said, Behold, water! What prevents me from being baptized?

²⁰ And at once in the synagogues he proclaimed the Christ, that this One is the Son of God.

²² And removing him, He raised up to them David for a king, to whom He also said, witnessing, "I found David" the son of Jesse " to be a man according to My own heart, who will do all My will." 1 Samuel 13:14; Psa. 89:20; LXX-Isa. 44:28 ²³ Of the seed of this one, according to promise, God raised up to Israel a Savior, Jesus;

² For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus set me free from the law of sin and of death. ³ For the law being powerless, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and concerning sin, condemned sin in the flesh,

²⁹ because whom He foreknew, He also predestinated to be conformed to the image of His Son, for Him to be the First-born among many brothers. ³⁰ But whom He predestinated, these He also called; and whom He called, these He also justified; but whom He justified, these He also glorified. ³¹ What then shall we say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? ³² Truly He who did not spare His own Son, but gave Him up for us all, how will He not freely give us all things with Him?

⁵ whose are the fathers, and from whom is the Christ according to flesh, He being God over all, blessed forever. Amen.

⁹ God is faithful, through whom you were called into the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord.

⁴ But when the fullness of the time came, God sent forth His Son, having come into being out of a woman, having come under Law,

¹³ who delivered us out of the authority of darkness, and translated us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, ¹⁴ in whom we have redemption through His blood, the remission of sins; ¹⁵ who is the image of the invisible God, the First-born of all creation.

¹⁰ and to await His Son from Heaven, whom He raised from the dead, Jesus, the One delivering us from the wrath to come.

¹⁶ And confessedly, great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifested in flesh, was justified in Spirit, was seen by angels, was proclaimed among nations, was believed on in the world, was taken up in glory.

⁸ Remember Jesus Christ, having been raised from the dead, of the seed of David, according to my gospel,

³ We announce to you what we have seen, and what we have heard, that you also may have fellowship with us. And truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son, Jesus Christ.

⁸ The one practicing sin is of the Devil, because the Devil sins from the beginning. For this the Son of God was revealed, that He undo the works of the Devil.

²³ And this is His commandment, that we should believe the name of His Son, Jesus Christ, and love one another, even as He gave command to us.

² By this know the Spirit of God: every spirit which confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God. ³ And every spirit which does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not from God; and this is the antichrist which you heard is coming, and now is already in the world.

⁹ By this the love of God was revealed in us, because His Son, the Only begotten, God has sent into the world that we might live through Him. ¹⁰ In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us, and sent His Son to be a propitiation relating to our sins.

¹⁵ Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God.

¹ Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ has been born of God. And everyone who loves Him who begets also loves the one who has been born of Him.

⁵ Who is the one overcoming the world except the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?

¹⁰ The one believing in the Son of God has the witness in himself. The one not believing God has made Him a liar, because he has not believed in the witness which God has witnessed concerning His Son. ¹¹ And this is the witness: that God gave us everlasting life, and this life is in His Son. ¹² The one having the Son has life. The one not having the Son of God does not have life. ¹³ I wrote these things to you, the ones believing in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have everlasting life, and that you may believe in the name of the Son of God.

²⁰ And we know that the Son of God has come, and He has given to us an understanding that we may know the true One, and we are in the true One, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and the life everlasting.

⁷ Because many deceivers went out into the world, those not confessing Jesus Christ to have come in the flesh, this is the deceiver and the antichrist.

¹⁸ And to the angel of the church in Thyatira, write: These things says the Son of God, the One having His eyes as a flame of fire, and His feet like burnished brass:

³¹ And taking the Twelve, He said to them, Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and all things will be fulfilled which have been written through the prophets to the Son of man. ³² For He will be delivered up to the nations, and will be mocked, and will be insulted, and will be spat upon. ³³ And flogging Him, they will kill Him. And on the third day He will rise again.

¹⁸ Then the Jews answered and said to Him, What sign do you show to us, since you do these things? ¹⁹ Jesus said to them, Destroy this sanctuary, and in three days I will raise it up. ²⁰ Then the Jews said, This sanctuary was forty six years being built, and do you raise it up in three days? ²¹ But He spoke about the sanctuary of His body.

²⁴ But God raised Him up, loosing the throes of death, because it was not possible for Him to be held by it.

³² This Jesus God raised up, of which we all are witnesses.

¹⁵ And the Author of Life you killed, whom God raised up from the dead, of which we are witnesses.

¹⁰ let it be known to all of you, and to all the people of Israel, that in the name of Jesus Christ the Nazaraean, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, in this name this one stands before you whole. ¹¹ This One is the Stone counted worthless by you the builders, which has become to be the Head of the Corner; Psa. 118:22 ¹² and there is salvation in no other One, for neither is there any other name under Heaven having been given among men by which we must be saved.

³⁰ The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom you seized, hanging Him on a tree. ³¹ This One God has exalted as a Ruler and Savior to His right hand, to give to Israel repentance and remission of sins. ³² And we are His witnesses of these things, and also the Holy Spirit, whom God gave to those obeying Him.

³³ that this God has fulfilled to us, their children, raising up Jesus; as also it has been written in the second Psalm, "You are My Son, today I have begotten You." Psa. 2:7 ³⁴ And that He raised Him from the dead, no more being about to return to corruption, so He has said, "I will give You" "the holy things of faithful David." Isa. 55:3 ³⁵ So He also said in another, "You will not give Your Holy One to see corruption." LXX-Psa. 15:10; MT-Psa. 16:10

³¹ because He set a day in which "He is going to judge the habitable world in righteousness," by a Man whom He appointed; having given proof to all by raising Him from the dead. Psa. 9:8

³ concerning His Son who came of the seed of David according to flesh,

⁴ (for even if He was crucified out of weakness, yet He lives by the power of God). For even we are weak in Him, yet we shall live by the power of God toward you.

¹⁹ and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us, the ones believing according to the working of His mighty strength ²⁰ which He worked in Christ in raising Him from the dead; yea, He seated Him at His right hand in the heavenlies, Psa. 110:1 ²¹ far above all principality, and authority, and power, and lordship, and every name being named, not only in this age, but also in the coming age; ²² and He "put all things under His feet" and gave Him to be Head over all things to the church, Psa. 8:6 ²³ which is His body: the fullness of Him filling all things in all;

⁵ So also Christ did not glorify Himself to become a high priest, but He speaking to Him, "You are My Son; today I have begotten You." Psa. 2:7 ⁶ As He also says in another, "You are a priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek," Psa. 110:4

¹⁴ by how much more the blood of Christ (who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without blemish to God), will purify your conscience from dead works for the serving of the living God!

¹¹ searching for what, or what sort of time the Spirit of Christ made clear within them; testifying beforehand of the sufferings belonging to Christ, and the glories after these.

²¹ for prophecy was not at any time borne by the will of man, but having been borne along by the Holy Spirit, holy men of God spoke.

¹⁸ and the Living One; and I became dead; and, behold, I am living forever and ever. Amen. And I have the keys to Hades, and of death.

¹⁰ And I fell before his feet to worship him, but he said to me, Behold! Stop! I am a fellow-slave of yours, and of your brothers, having the testimony of Jesus. Worship God. For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

¹¹ For from the east to the west, My name shall be great among the nations, and everywhere incense shall be offered to My name; and a pure food offering; for My name shall be great among the nations, says Jehovah of hosts.

¹⁴ But cursed be a deceiver and there is a male in his flock, yet he vows it, but he sacrifices a blemished one to the Lord. For I am a great King, says Jehovah of hosts, and My name is feared among the nations.

¹⁶ And out of His fullness we all received, and grace on top of grace.

²⁵ to take the share of this ministry and apostleship, from which Judas fell, to go to his own place.

⁷ And the Word of God was increasing, and the number of the disciples in Jerusalem was multiplying exceedingly. Even a great crowd of the priests were attending to the faith!

¹⁴ Simon recounted how even as at first God oversaw to take a people out from among the nations for His name.

²⁹ Or is He the God of Jews only, and not also of the nations? Yes, of the nations also,

³ For through the grace which is given to me, I say to everyone being among you, not to have high thoughts beyond what is right to think. But set your mind to be right-minded, even as God divided a measure of faith to each.

¹⁵ But I wrote to you more boldly, brothers, as reminding you in part, because of the grace given to me by God, ¹⁶ for me to be a minister of Jesus Christ to the nations, sacredly ministering the gospel of God, that the offering of the nations might be acceptable, sanctified by the Holy Spirit.

¹⁸ For I will not dare to speak of anything which Christ did not work out through me for the obedience of the nations in word and work, ¹⁹ in power of miracles and wonders, in power of the Spirit of God, so as for me to have fulfilled the preaching of the gospel of Christ from Jerusalem and in a circle as far as Illyricum.

² If I am not an apostle to others, yet I am indeed to you; for you are the seal of my apostleship in the Lord.

¹⁰ But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace which was toward me has not been without fruit, but I labored more abundantly than all of them, yet not I, but the grace of God with me.

⁵ not that we are sufficient of ourselves to reason out anything as out of ourselves, but our sufficiency is of God, ⁶ who also made us able ministers of a new covenant, not of letter, but of Spirit. For the letter kills, but the Spirit makes alive.

⁴ for the weapons of our warfare are not fleshly, but powerful to God in order to pull down strongholds, ⁵ pulling down imaginations and every high thing lifting up itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought into the obedience of Christ, ⁶ and having readiness to avenge all disobedience, whenever your obedience is fulfilled.

¹⁵ But when God was pleased, "He having separated me from my mother's womb" and having called through His grace, Isa. 49:1 ¹⁶ to reveal His Son in me, that I might preach Him among the nations, immediately I did not confer with flesh and blood,

⁸ (for He working in Peter to an apostleship of the circumcision, also worked in me to the nations), ⁹ and knowing the grace given to me, James and Cephas and John, those seeming to be pillars, gave right hands of fellowship to Barnabas and to me, that we go to the nations, but they to the circumcision;

⁶ to the praise of the glory of His grace in which He favored us in the One having been loved,

¹² for us to be to the praise of His glory, the ones who had previously trusted in Christ;

² if, indeed, you heard of the stewardship of the grace of God given to me for you, ³ that by revelation He made known to me the mystery, as I wrote before in brief, ⁴ by the reading of which you are able to realize my understanding in the mystery of Christ, ⁵ which was not made known to the sons of men in other generations, as it now has been revealed to His holy apostles and prophets in the Spirit, ⁶ for the nations to be joint-heirs, and a joint-body and joint-sharers of His promise in Christ through the gospel, ⁷ of which I was made a minister according to the gift of the grace of God given to me, according to the working of His power. ⁸ This grace was given to me, less than the least of all the saints, to proclaim the gospel of the unsearchable riches of Christ among the nations, ⁹ and to bring to light all, what is the fellowship of the mystery having been hidden from eternity in God, the One creating all things through Jesus Christ,

⁹ and being perfected, He became the Author of eternal salvation to all the ones obeying Him,

⁹ But you are "an elect race," "a royal priesthood," "a holy nation," "a people for possession," so that "you may openly speak of the virtues" of the One who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; LXX-Ex. 23:22; MT-Ex. 19:5, 6 ¹⁰ you who then were "not a people, but now are the people" of God; "the one not pitied then but now pitied." Hos. 1:6, 9 2:1, 23

²⁸ But we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to purpose; ²⁹ because whom He foreknew, He also predestinated to be conformed to the image of His Son, for Him to be the First-born among many brothers. ³⁰ But whom He predestinated, these He also called; and whom He called, these He also justified; but whom He justified, these He also glorified.

²⁴ whom He also called, not only us, of Jews, but also out of nations.

⁶ I wonder that you are so quickly being transferred from Him having called you by the grace of Christ to another gospel,

¹¹ in whom we also have been chosen to an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of the One working all things according to the counsel of His own will,

⁶ coming to you, as also in all the world, and it is bearing fruit even also among you, from the day in which you heard and knew the grace of God in truth;

²¹ And you then being alienated and enemies in your mind by evil works, yet now He reconciled

¹² testifying for you to walk worthily of God, He calling you to His kingdom and glory.

¹⁴ to which He called you through our gospel, to obtain the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

⁹ He having saved us and having called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace given to us in Christ Jesus before eternal times,

¹ For this reason, holy brothers, called to be partakers of a heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our confession, Christ Jesus,

²¹ For you were called to this, for even Christ suffered on our behalf, leaving behind an example for us, that you should follow His steps;

¹⁰ On account of this, brothers, rather be diligent to make sure of your calling and election; for doing these things, you will not ever fall into sin .

¹⁴ These will make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them, because He is Lord of lords and King of kings, and the ones with Him are the called and elect and faithful ones.

¹² Of Benjamin he said, The beloved of Jehovah shall dwell securely beside Him, covering him all the day long; yea he shall dwell between His shoulders.

⁵ Save with Your right hand and answer me, that Your beloved may be delivered.

¹ I have come into My garden, My sister, My spouse; I have gathered My myrrh with My spice. I have eaten My honeycomb with My honey; I have drunk My wine with My milk. Eat and drink, O friends; yea, drink fully, beloved ones.

¹⁶ So let your light shine before men, so that they may see your good works, and may glorify your Father in Heaven.

⁸ Then do not be like them, for your Father knows what things you have need of before you ask Him. ⁹ So, then, you should pray this way: Our Father who is in Heaven, let be sanctified Your name.

¹⁷ Jesus said to her, Do not touch Me, for I have not yet ascended to My Father. But go to My brothers and say to them, I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and My God, and your God.

⁵⁹ And they stoned Stephen, invoking and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit. ⁶⁰ And placing the knees, he cried out with a loud voice, Lord, do not make stand this sin to them. And saying this, he fell asleep.

²³ writing by their hand these things: The apostles and the elders and the brothers, to those throughout Antioch, and Syria, and Cilicia, brothers from the nations: Greeting.

⁶ among whom are you also, called-out ones of Jesus Christ;

¹ Then being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,

³⁹ nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus, our Lord.

²⁵ As also He says in Hosea, I will call those not My people, My people! And those not beloved, Beloved! Hosea 2:23

⁸ Beyond this I entreated the Lord three times, that it depart from me. ⁹ And He said to me, My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is perfected in weakness. Therefore, I will rather gladly boast in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may overshadow me. ¹⁰ Because of this, I am pleased in weaknesses, in insults, in dire needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for the sake of Christ. For when I may be weak, then I am powerful.

¹⁴ And this gospel of the Kingdom shall be preached in all the earth for a testimony to all the nations, and then will come the end.

¹ And it happened in those days, a decree went out from Caesar Augustus for all the habitable world to be registered.

²⁸ And one of them named Agabus rising up, he signified through the Spirit that a great famine was about to be over all the habitable earth, which also happened on Claudius Caesar's time .

¹⁷ But thanks be to God that you were slaves of sin, but you obeyed from the heart the form of doctrine to which you were delivered.

¹⁹ For your obedience reached to all; therefore, I rejoice over you. But I desire you to be truly wise as to good, but simple toward evil.

⁴ I give thanks to my God always concerning you for the grace of God given to you in Christ Jesus,

¹⁵ Because of this, hearing of your faith in the Lord Jesus and love toward all the saints,

²¹ to Him be the glory in the church in Christ Jesus, to all the generations of the age forever. Amen.

¹¹ being filled with the fruits of righteousness through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.

³ We give thanks to God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying continually about you,

⁸ For the Word of the Lord sounded out from you not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place your faith toward God has gone out, so that there is no need for us to have to say anything. ⁹ For they themselves announce concerning us what kind of entrance we have to you, and how you had turned to God from the idols, to serve the true and living God,

¹⁵ Then through Him let us offer up a sacrifice of praise to God always, that is, the fruit of the lips, confessing to His name.

⁵ you also as living stones are being built a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

¹¹ If anyone speaks, let it be as the words of God; if anyone ministers, as by strength which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ; to whom is the glory and the might forever and ever. Amen.

²³ Also I, far be it from me from sinning against Jehovah, from ceasing to pray for you. But I will instruct you in the good and the right way.

¹⁹ Even now, behold! My witness is in Heaven; and He who testifies of me is on high.

¹ The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God,

¹ And He also spoke a parable to them to teach it is always right to pray, and not to faint,

²³ But an hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth. For the Father also seeks such ones that worship Him. ²⁴ God is a spirit, and the ones worshiping Him must worship in spirit and truth.

²⁶ Having raised up His child Jesus, God sent Him first to you, blessing you in turning away each one from your iniquities.

⁵ Then Peter was indeed kept in the prison, but fervent prayer was made by the church to God on his behalf.

²¹ And when these things were fulfilled, passing through Macedonia and Achaia, Paul purposed in the Spirit to go to Jerusalem, saying, After I have come there, I must also see Rome.

¹⁴ But I confess this to you that according to the Way, which they say is a sect, so I worship the ancestral God believing all things according to that having been written in the Law and the Prophets,

¹ I tell the truth in Christ, I do not lie, my conscience bearing witness with me in the Holy Spirit,

¹⁴ For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my mind is unfruitful. ¹⁵ What then is it? I will pray with the spirit, and I will also pray with the mind; I will sing with the spirit, and I will also sing with the mind.

²³ And I call God as witness to my soul that to spare you I came no more to Corinth.

¹⁰ The truth of Christ is in me, that this boasting shall not be silenced in me in the regions of Achaia. ¹¹ Why? Because I do not love you? God knows.

³¹ The God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ knows, He who is blessed forever, that I am not lying.

²⁰ And what I write to you, behold, before God I do not lie.

¹⁶ I also do not cease giving thanks on your behalf, making mention of you in my prayers, ¹⁷ that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the full knowledge of Him, ¹⁸ the eyes of your mind having been enlightened, for you to know what is the hope of His calling, and what the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, ¹⁹ and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us, the ones believing according to the working of His mighty strength

¹⁴ For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, ¹⁵ of whom every family in Heaven and on earth is named, ¹⁶ that He may give you, according to the riches of His glory, by His power to become mighty in the inward man through His Spirit, ¹⁷ that through faith Christ may dwell in your hearts, having been rooted and founded in love, ¹⁸ that you may be given strength to grasp, with all the saints, what is the breadth and length and depth and height, ¹⁹ and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled to all the fullness of God. ²⁰ Now to Him being able to do exceedingly above all that we ask or think, according to the power working in us, ²¹ to Him be the glory in the church in Christ Jesus, to all the generations of the age forever. ¹⁸ through all prayer and petition, praying at every time in the Spirit, and watching to this same thing with all perseverance and petition concerning all the saints.

⁴ always in my every prayer on your behalf making my prayer with joy

⁸ For God is my witness how I long after you all in the bowels of Jesus Christ. ⁹ And this I pray, that your love may yet abound more and more in full knowledge and all perception, ¹⁰ for you to distinguish the things that differ, that you may be sincere and without blame for the day of Christ, ¹¹ being filled with the fruits of righteousness through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.

²² But you know the proof of him, that as a child to a father, he served with me for the gospel.

³ For we are the circumcision, the ones who worship by the Spirit of God, and who glory in Christ Jesus, and who do not trust in flesh.

⁹ For this cause also, from the day in which we heard, we do not cease praying on your behalf, and asking that you may be filled with the full knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding, ¹⁰ for you to walk worthily of the Lord to all pleasing, bearing fruit in every good work and growing into the full knowledge of God; ¹¹ being empowered with all power according to the might of His glory, to all patience and longsuffering with joy; ¹² giving thanks to the Father, who has made us fit for a share of the inheritance of the saints in light, ¹³ who delivered us out of the authority of darkness, and translated us into the kingdom of the Son of His love,

²⁸ whom we announce, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man full-grown in Christ Jesus, ²⁹ for which also I labor, struggling according to the working of Him who works in me in power.

² We give thanks to God always concerning you all, making mention of you on our prayers,

⁵ For neither were we then found with words of flattery, even as you know, nor with pretense of covetousness (God is witness), ⁶ nor seeking glory from men, neither from you, nor from others, having been able to be so with the weight of glory as apostles of Christ. ⁷ But we were gentle in your midst, even as a nurse should warmly cherish her children. ⁸ Longing over you in this way, we were pleased to impart to you not only the gospel of God, but also our own souls, because you have become beloved to us. ⁹ For, brothers, you remember our labor and toil, night and day, working in order not to put a burden on any one of you, we proclaimed to you the gospel of God. ¹⁰ You and God are witnesses how holily and righteously and blamelessly we were to you, those believing;

¹⁰ night and day praying exceedingly for me to see your face, and to complete the things lacking in your faith?

¹⁷ Pray without ceasing.

³ I have thanks to God, whom I worship from my forebears in a pure conscience, how unceasingly I have remembrance concerning you in my petitions night and day, ⁴ I thank my God always making mention of you in my prayers,

⁹ If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater; because this is the witness of God which He has witnessed about His Son: ¹⁰ The one believing in the Son of God has the witness in himself. The one not believing God has made Him a liar, because he has not believed in the witness which God has witnessed concerning His Son. ¹¹ And this is the witness: that God gave us everlasting life, and this life is in His Son. ¹² The one having the Son has life. The one not having the Son of God does not have life.

²¹ but took leave of them, saying, I must by all means keep the coming feast at Jerusalem; but I will come again to you, God willing. And he sailed from Ephesus.

¹⁴ And he not being persuaded, we were silent, saying, The will of the Lord be done .

¹ And when it was decided for us to sail to Italy, they delivered up both Paul and certain other prisoners to a centurion named Julius, of a cohort of Augustus. ² And boarding a ship of Adramyttium which was about to sail alongside Asian places, we set sail, Aristarchus a Macedonian of Thessalonica being with us. ³ And on the next day we landed at Sidon. And treating Paul kindly, Julius allowed him to go to his friends to receive care. ⁴ And setting sail from there, we sailed close to Cyprus, because of the winds being contrary. ⁵ And sailing over the sea against Cilicia and Pamphylia, we came to Myra of Lycia. ⁶ And the centurion finding there an Alexandrian ship sailing to Italy, he put us into it. ⁷ And in many days, sailing slowly and with difficulty, hardly coming against Cnidus, the wind not allowing us, we sailed close to Crete against Salmone. ⁸ And coasting along it with difficulty, we came to a certain place named Fair Havens, near to which was a city, Lasea. ⁹ And much time having passed, and the voyage already being dangerous, because the Fast already had gone by, Paul warned them, ¹⁰ saying, Men, I see that the voyage is about to be with injury and much loss, not only of the cargo and of the ship, but also of our souls. ¹¹ But the centurion was rather persuaded by the helmsman and the ship master, than by the things spoken by Paul. ¹² And the port not being fit for wintering, the most gave counsel to set sail from there, if somehow they may be able to pass the winter, arriving at Phoenix, a port of Crete looking toward the southwest and toward the northwest. ¹³ And a south wind blowing gently, thinking to have gained the purpose, raising anchor they sailed along close by Crete. ¹⁴ And not much after, a stormy wind being called Euroclydon beat down on it. ¹⁵ And the ship being seized, and not being able to beat against the wind, giving way we were borne along. ¹⁶ But running under an islet being called Clauda, we were hardly able to get mastery of the boat; ¹⁷ which taking, they used helps, undergirding the ship. And fearing lest they fall into Syrtis, lowering the tackle, so they were borne along. ¹⁸ But we having been exceedingly storm tossed, they made a casting on the next day . ¹⁹ And on the third day they threw out the ship's tackle with their hands. ²⁰ And neither sun nor stars appearing over many days, and no small tempest pressing hard, now all hope of our being saved was taken away. ²¹ And there being much fasting, then standing up in their midst, Paul said, Truly, O men, being obedient to me you ought not to have set sail from Crete, and to have come by this injury and loss. ²² And now I exhort you to be cheered, for there will be no casting away of soul from among you, only of the ship. ²³ For tonight stood by me an angel of God, whose I am, and whom I serve, ²⁴ saying, Do not fear, Paul, You must stand before Caesar. And, behold, God has granted to you all those sailing with you. ²⁵ Therefore, be cheered, men, for I believe God, that it will be so according to the way it was spoken to me. ²⁶ But we must fall on a certain island. ²⁷ And when the fourteenth night came, we being carried about in the Adriatic Sea, toward the middle of the night the sailors supposed us to come near some country. ²⁸ And sounding, they found twenty fathoms; and moving a little and sounding again, they found fifteen fathoms.

²² Because of this I also was much hindered from coming to you, ²³ but now having no more place in these regions, and having a longing to come to you for many years, ²⁴ whenever I may go into Spain, I will come to you; for I hope in traveling through to see you and to be set forward there by you, if first I may be filled of you in part.

³⁰ But I exhort you, brothers, by our Lord Jesus Christ, and by the love of the Spirit, to strive together with me in your prayers to God on my behalf, ³¹ that I be delivered from the disobedient ones in Judea, and that my ministry, which is to Jerusalem, may be acceptable to the saints, ³² that I may come to you in joy through the will of God, and that I may be refreshed with you.

¹⁹ But if the Lord wills, I will come to you shortly. And I will not know the word of those who have been puffed up, but the power.

⁶ Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and by petition with thanksgivings, let your requests be made known to God;

¹⁸ Because of this, we desired to come to you, truly I, Paul, both once and twice; but Satan hindered us.

¹⁰ night and day praying exceedingly for me to see your face, and to complete the things lacking in your faith? ¹¹ But may our God and Father Himself, and our Lord Jesus Christ, direct our way to you.

²² But at once prepare lodging for me; for I hope that through your prayers I shall be given to you.

¹⁹ But I much more urge you to do this that I may sooner be restored to you.

¹⁵ Instead of you saying, If the Lord wills, even we will live, and we will do this or that;

³⁰ And now surely you have gone because you have longed after your father's house. Why have you stolen my gods?

³⁹ And king David determined to go out to Absalom, for he had been comforted for Amnon, for he was dead.

¹⁵ And David longed, and said, Who shall give me drink from the water of the well of Bethlehem beside the gate?

²⁰ And they rose early in the morning and went out to the wilderness of Tekoa; and as they went out Jehoshaphat stood and said, Hear me, O Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem. Believe in Jehovah your God, and be steadfast; believe in His prophets and prosper.

¹⁵ who going down prayed concerning them so that they may receive the Holy Spirit. ¹⁶ For He had not yet fallen on any one of them, but they were only being baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. ¹⁷ Then they laid hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit. ¹⁸ But Simon having seen that the Holy Spirit is given through the laying on of the hands of the apostles, he offered them money, ¹⁹ saying, Give to me also this authority that to whomever I may lay on the hands he may receive the Holy Spirit.

⁵ Then indeed the churches were being made stronger in the faith, and increased in number day by day.

⁶ And Paul laying hands on them, the Holy Spirit came on them, and they spoke in languages and prophesied.

²³ but now having no more place in these regions, and having a longing to come to you for many years,

³² that I may come to you in joy through the will of God, and that I may be refreshed with you.

¹ But concerning the spiritual things, brothers, I do not wish you to be ignorant. ² You know that being led away, you nations were led to dumb idols. ³ Because of this I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God says, Jesus is a curse. And no one is able to say Jesus is Lord, except by the Holy Spirit. ⁴ And there are differences of gifts, but the same Spirit; ⁵ and there are differences of ministries, yet the same Lord. ⁶ And there are differences of workings, but the same God is working all things in all. ⁷ And to each one is given the showing forth of the Spirit to our profit. ⁸ For through the Spirit is given to one a word of wisdom, and to another a word of knowledge, according to the same Spirit; ⁹ and to another, faith by the same Spirit, and to another, gifts of healing by the same Spirit, ¹⁰ and to another, workings of powers, and to another, prophecy, and to another, discerning of spirits, and to another, kinds of languages, and to another, interpretation of languages. ¹¹ But the one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing separately to each as He wills.

²¹ But He confirming us and anointing us with you in Christ is God,

¹⁴ and in their prayer for you, a longing after you, because of the overflowing grace of God on you.

⁴ For if, indeed, the one coming proclaims another Jesus, whom we have not proclaimed, or if you receive another spirit which you have not received, or another gospel which you never accepted, you might well endure these .

² This only I desire to learn from you: Did you receive the Spirit by works of law or by hearing of faith? ³ Are you so foolish? Having begun in the Spirit, do you now perfect yourself in the flesh? ⁴ Did you suffer so much vainly, if indeed it also was vainly? ⁵ Then He supplying the Spirit to you and working works of power in you, is it by works of law or by hearing of faith?

⁸ Because of this, He says, "Having gone up on high, He led captivity captive," and gave "gifts to men." Psa. 68:18 ⁹ But that He went up, what is it except that He also first came down into the lower parts of the earth? ¹⁰ He that came down is the same who also went up above all the heavens, that He might fill all things. ¹¹ And indeed He gave some to be apostles; and some prophets; and some evangelists; and some pastors and teachers; ¹² with a view to the perfecting of the saints for the work of the ministry, for the building up of the body of Christ,

⁸ For God is my witness how I long after you all in the bowels of Jesus Christ.

²⁶ since he was longing for you all and has been troubled because you heard that he was sick.

¹ So as, my brothers, ones loved and longed for, my joy and crown, so stand firm in the Lord, beloved ones.

² and sent Timothy, our brother and minister of God, and our fellow worker in the gospel of Christ, in order to establish you and to encourage you concerning your faith,

¹³ in order to establish your hearts blameless in holiness before our God and our Father at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all His saints.

¹⁷ encourage your hearts, and may He establish you in every good word and work.

³ But the Lord is faithful who will establish and will guard you from the evil.

⁹ Do not be carried away by various and strange doctrine; for it is good that the heart be confirmed by grace, not by foods, in which those walking in them were not profited.

¹⁰ Now the God of all grace, the One calling you to His eternal glory in Christ Jesus, you having suffered a little, He Himself will perfect, confirm, strengthen, establish you .

¹² I wrote to you by a few words by way of Silvanus the faithful brother, as I reckon, exhorting and witnessing this to be the true grace of God, in which you stand.

¹² For this reason I will not neglect to cause you to remember always concerning these things, though you know and have been confirmed in the present truth.

¹⁷ Then beloved, you knowing beforehand, watch lest being led away by the error of the lawless you fall from your own steadfastness. ¹⁸ But grow in grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory, both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.

²³ who having come, and seeing the grace of God, rejoiced. And he exhorted all with purpose of heart to abide near the Lord.

²⁴ whenever I may go into Spain, I will come to you; for I hope in traveling through to see you and to be set forward there by you, if first I may be filled of you in part.

¹ But I decided this within myself, not to come to you again in grief. ² For if I grieved you, who yet will be making me glad, if not the one being grieved by me? ³ And I wrote this same thing to you, lest coming I might have grief from those of whom I ought to rejoice, trusting in you all that my joy is the joy of all of you.

⁴ My boldness toward you is great. My boasting on your behalf is much. I have been filled with comfort; I overflow with joy on all our trouble. ⁵ For, indeed, we coming into Macedonia, our flesh had no rest, but being troubled in every way, with fightings on the outside and fears on the inside. ⁶ But He who comforts the lowly comforted us by the presence of Titus. ⁷ And not only by his presence, but also by the comfort with which he was comforted over you, telling us your longing, your mourning, your zeal for me, so as for me to rejoice more.

¹³ For this reason we have been comforted in your comfort, and we rather rejoice more abundantly over the joy of Titus, because his spirit has been refreshed by all of you.

⁵ one Lord, one faith, one baptism,

¹⁷ But, brothers, we being taken away from you for an hour's time, in presence, not in heart, we were much more eager with much desire to see your face. ¹⁸ Because of this, we desired to come to you, truly I, Paul, both once and twice; but Satan hindered us. ¹⁹ For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of glorying? Are you not even to be before our Lord Jesus Christ at His coming? ²⁰ For you are our glory and joy.

⁷ Because of this we were comforted over you, brothers, on all our affliction and distress through your faith, ⁸ for now we live, if you should stand fast in the Lord. ⁹ For what thanks are we able to return to God concerning you, over all the joy with which we rejoice because of you before our God, ¹⁰ night and day praying exceedingly for me to see your face, and to complete the things lacking in your faith?

⁴ longing to see you, being reminded of your tears, that I may be filled with joy,

⁴ I rejoiced greatly because I found your children walking in truth, as we received command from the Father.

³ For I rejoiced greatly at the coming of the brothers, also bearing witness of you in the truth, as you walk in truth. ⁴ I have no greater joy than these things, that I hear my children are walking in truth.

³ Having made all haste to write to you about the common salvation, beloved, I had need to write to you to exhort you to contend earnestly for the faith once delivered to the saints.

⁶ Those who come to Jacob, He shall make take root. Israel shall blossom and bud and fill the face of the world with fruit.

³⁶ And the one reaping receives reward, and gathers fruit to everlasting life, so that both the one sowing and the one reaping may rejoice together.

²⁴ Truly, truly, I say to you, unless the grain of wheat that falls into the earth dies, it remains alone. But if it dies, it bears much fruit.

¹⁶ You have not chosen Me, but I chose you out and planted you, that you should go and should bear fruit, and your fruit remain, that whatever you should ask the Father in My name, He may give you.

²⁷ And having arrived, and gathering the church, they reported what things God did with them and that He opened a door of faith to the nations.

¹² And all the multitude kept silent and were hearing Barnabas and Paul recounting what things God did through them among the nations, even the signs and wonders.

⁶ And passing through the Phrygian and the Galatian country, being forbidden by the Holy Spirit to speak the Word in Asia, ⁷ coming against Mysia, they attempted to go along Bithynia, and the Spirit did not allow them.

¹⁹ And having greeted them, he related one by one what things God had worked among the nations through his ministry.

²⁵ For I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brothers, so that you may not be wise within yourselves, that hardness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the nations comes in;

¹⁸ For I will not dare to speak of anything which Christ did not work out through me for the obedience of the nations in word and work, ¹⁹ in power of miracles and wonders, in power of the Spirit of God, so as for me to have fulfilled the preaching of the gospel of Christ from Jerusalem and in a circle as far as Illyricum. ²⁰ And so eagerly striving to preach the gospel where Christ was not named, so that I should not build on another's foundation,

²² Because of this I also was much hindered from coming to you, ²³ but now having no more place in these regions, and having a longing to come to you for many years, ²⁴ whenever I may go into Spain, I will come to you; for I hope in traveling through to see you and to be set forward there by you, if first I may be filled of you in part. ²⁵ But now I am going to Jerusalem, doing service to the saints. ²⁶ For Macedonia and Achaia thought it good to make certain gifts to the poor of the saints in Jerusalem. ²⁷ For they thought it good, also being debtors of them; for if the nations shared in their spiritual things, they ought also to minister to them in the fleshly things. ²⁸ Then completing and having sealed this fruit to them, I will go through you into Spain.

¹ And I do not want you to be ignorant, brothers, that our fathers were all under the cloud, and all passed through the Sea.

¹ But concerning the spiritual things, brothers, I do not wish you to be ignorant.

⁸ For, brothers, we do not want you to be ignorant as to our affliction having happened to us in Asia, that we were excessively pressed down beyond our power, so as for us even to despair of living.

¹⁵ And in this confidence, I purposed to come to you before now, that you might have a second benefit, ¹⁶ and to go through you into Macedonia, and again from Macedonia to come to you and to be set forward by you to Judea.

¹⁴ But thanks be to God, He always leading us in triumph in Christ, and the One revealing through us the odor of the knowledge of Him in every place.

¹³ But we will not boast beyond measure, but according to measure of the rule which the God of measure distributed to us, to reach even to you. ¹⁴ For we do not overstretch ourselves as if not reaching to you, for we also came to you in the gospel of Christ, ¹⁵ not boasting beyond measure in the labors of others, but having hope that the growing faith among you will be made larger according to our rule, to overflowing, ¹⁶ in order to preach the gospel to that beyond you, not to boast in another's rule in things ready.

¹⁷ Not that I seek a gift, but I seek the fruit multiplying to your account.

⁸ For the Word of the Lord sounded out from you not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place your faith toward God has gone out, so that there is no need for us to have to say anything. ⁹ For they themselves announce concerning us what kind of entrance we have to you, and how you had turned to God from the idols, to serve the true and living God, ¹⁰ and to await His Son from Heaven, whom He raised from the dead, Jesus, the One delivering us from the wrath to come.

¹³ And because of this we give thanks to God without ceasing, that having received the Word of hearing from us, you welcomed it as of God, not as a word of men, but as it is, truly the Word of God, which also works in you, the ones believing. ¹⁴ For, brothers, you became imitators of the churches of God being in Judea in Christ Jesus, because you also suffered these things by your own fellow countrymen, as they also by the Jews,

¹³ But I do not want you to be ignorant, brothers, concerning those who sleep, that you not grieve, as the rest also, not having hope.

⁷ For the mystery of lawlessness already is working, only he is holding back now, until it comes out of the midst.

¹⁷ But the Lord stood with me and gave me power, that through me the preaching might be fulfilled, and all the nations might hear. And I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.

²² How long will you love to be simple, you simple ones? And will scorners desire scorn for themselves? And will fools hate knowledge?

⁵ Understand wisdom, simple ones; and fools, be of an understanding heart.

⁸ And a highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called, The Way of Holiness. The unclean shall not pass over it. And it is for them, the wayfaring one; yea, fools shall not go astray.

²⁵ Answering at that time, Jesus said, I praise You, Father, Lord of Heaven and of Earth, because You hid these things from the sophisticated and cunning and revealed them to babes.

²¹ In the same hour Jesus rejoiced in the Spirit, and said, I praise You, Father, Lord of Heaven and of earth, that You hid these things from the sophisticated and cunning and revealed them to babes; yes, Father, because so it was pleasing before You.

² And the foreigners were showing not the common kindness to us, for having kindled a fire because of the rain coming on, and because of the cold, they welcomed us all.

⁴ And when the foreigners saw the beast hanging from his hand, they said to one another, By all means this man is a murderer, whom being saved out of the sea, Justice did not permit to live.

²² Professing to be wise, they became foolish

¹² So, then, brothers, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live according to flesh,

¹⁶ minding the same thing toward one another, not minding high things, but yielding to the lowly. Do not become wise within yourselves.

⁸ Do not continue to owe anything, except to love one another. For the one loving the other has fulfilled the law.

¹⁹ For it has been written, "I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and I will set aside the understanding of the understanding ones." Isa. 29:14 ²⁰ Where is the wise? Where the scribe? Where the lawyer of this world? Did God not make the wisdom of this world foolish? ²¹ For since in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom did not know God, God was pleased through the foolishness of preaching to save the ones believing. ²² And since Jews ask for a sign, and Greeks seek wisdom,

¹³ Which things we also speak, not in words taught in human wisdom, but in words taught of the Holy Spirit, comparing spiritual things with spiritual things .

¹⁸ Let no one deceive himself, if anyone thinks to be wise among you in this age, let him become foolish, that he may become wise.

¹⁶ For if I announce the gospel, no glory is to me; for necessity is laid on me, and it is woe to me if I do not announce the gospel. ¹⁷ For if I do this willingly, I have a reward; but if unwillingly, I am entrusted with a stewardship. ¹⁸ What then is my reward? That announcing the gospel I may make the gospel of Christ free, so as not to use fully my authority in the gospel. ¹⁹ For being free of all, I enslaved myself to all, that I might gain the more. ²⁰ And I became as a Jew to the Jews, that I might gain Jews; to those under Law as under Law, that I might gain those under Law; ²¹ to those without Law as without Law (not being without law of God, but under the law of Christ), that I might gain those without Law. ²² I became to the weak as weak, that I might gain the weak. To all I have become all things, that in any and every way I might save some. ²³ And I do this for the gospel, that I might become a fellow partaker of it.

¹¹ If, then, I do not know the power of the sound, I will be a foreigner to the one speaking, and he speaking in me a foreigner.

¹⁶ Else, if you bless in the spirit, the one occupying the place of the unlearned, how will he say the amen at your giving of thanks, since he does not know what you say?

²³ Then if the whole church comes together, and all speak in languages, and uninstructed ones or unbelievers come in, will they not say that you rave? ²⁴ But if all prophesy, and some unbeliever or one not instructed comes in, he is convicted by all, he is judged by all.

¹² For we dare not rank or compare ourselves with some of those commending themselves, but they measuring themselves among themselves and comparing themselves to themselves, are not perceptive.

¹⁹ For you gladly endure fools, being wise.

¹⁵ Then watch how carefully you walk, not as unwise, but as wise ones, ¹⁶ redeeming the time, because the days are evil. ¹⁷ For this reason, do not be foolish, but understanding what the will of the Lord is .

¹¹ where there is no Greek and Jew, circumcision and uncircumcision, foreigner, Scythian, slave or freeman, but Christ is all things and in all.

¹⁰ Because of this, I endure all things on account of the elect, that they also may obtain salvation in Christ Jesus, with everlasting glory.

³ For we also once were senseless, disobedient, led astray, slaving for various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, hating one another.

¹⁷ But the wisdom from above is firstly truly pure, then peaceable, forbearing, yielding, full of mercy and of good fruits, not partial and not pretended. ¹⁸ And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace for the ones making peace.

¹⁸ and Jehovah said to my father David, Because it has been in your heart to build a house for My name, you have done well that it has been in your heart;

⁸ And I heard the voice of Jehovah, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us? Then I said, Behold me. Send me!

³⁸ Pray then that the Lord of the harvest may send out workers into His harvest.

⁸ What this one held, she did. She took beforehand to anoint My body for the burial.

³⁴ Jesus said to them, My food is that I should do the will of Him who sent Me, and that I may finish His work.

¹³ But Paul answered, What are you doing, weeping and breaking my heart? For I not only am ready to be bound, but also to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.

¹⁸ If possible, as far as is in you, seeking peace with all men;

²⁰ And so eagerly striving to preach the gospel where Christ was not named, so that I should not build on another's foundation,

¹⁷ For if I do this willingly, I have a reward; but if unwillingly, I am entrusted with a stewardship.

¹² For if the eagerness is present, it is acceptable according to what one has, not according to what one does not have.

⁹ I have announced righteousness in the great assembly; behold, I will not restrain My lips; O Jehovah You know. ¹⁰ I have not concealed Your righteousness in My heart; I speak Your faithfulness and Your salvation. I have not hidden Your loving-kindness and Your truth for the great assembly.

¹⁵ My mouth shall tell of Your righteousness and Your salvation all the day; for I do not know the numbers. ¹⁶ I will come in the strength of the lord Jehovah; I will speak of Your righteousness, of Yours alone.

² Jehovah shall send the rod of Your strength out of Zion; rule in the midst of Your enemies.

⁴⁶ And I will speak of Your testimonies before kings, and will not be ashamed.

¹ Who has believed our report? And to whom is the arm of Jehovah revealed?

²⁹ Is not My word thus like fire, says Jehovah, and like a hammer which breaks a rock in pieces?

³⁸ For whoever may be ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of man will also be ashamed of him when He comes in the glory of His Father, along with the holy angels.

²⁶ For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words, the Son of man will be ashamed of that one when He comes in His glory, and that of the Father, and of the holy angels.

³⁵ Then the Jews said amongst themselves, Where is this one about to go that we will not find him? Is he about to go to the Dispersion of the Greeks, and to teach the Greeks?

⁹ trouble and pain on every soul of man that works out evil, both of Jew first, and of Greek.

¹¹ And he received a sign of circumcision as a seal of the righteousness of faith while in uncircumcision, for him to be a father of those believing through uncircumcision, for righteousness to be counted to them also,

¹⁷ Then faith is of hearing, and hearing through the Word of God.

¹⁹ in power of miracles and wonders, in power of the Spirit of God, so as for me to have fulfilled the preaching of the gospel of Christ from Jerusalem and in a circle as far as Illyricum.

¹⁸ For the word of the cross is foolishness to those being lost, but to us being saved, it is the power of God. ¹⁹ For it has been written, "I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and I will set aside the understanding of the understanding ones." Isa. 29:14 ²⁰ Where is the wise? Where the scribe? Where the lawyer of this world? Did God not make the wisdom of this world foolish? ²¹ For since in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom did not know God, God was pleased through the foolishness of preaching to save the ones believing. ²² And since Jews ask for a sign, and Greeks seek wisdom, ²³ we on the other hand preach Christ crucified (truly an offense to Jews, and foolishness to Greeks), ²⁴ but to the called-out ones, both to Jews and to Greeks, Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God;

² For I decided not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ, and Him having been crucified.

⁴ And my word and my preaching was not in moving words of human wisdom, but in proof of the Spirit and of power,

¹² If others have a share of the authority over you, should not rather we? But we did not use this authority, but we endured all things, so that we might not give a hindrance to the gospel of Christ.

¹⁸ What then is my reward? That announcing the gospel I may make the gospel of Christ free, so as not to use fully my authority in the gospel.

²⁴ But if all prophesy, and some unbeliever or one not instructed comes in, he is convicted by all, he is judged by all. ²⁵ And so the secrets of his heart become revealed; and so, falling on his face, he will worship God, declaring that God is truly among you.

² by which you also are being kept safe, if you hold fast the word which I preached to you, unless you believed in vain.

¹² And coming to Troas for the gospel of Christ, and a door having been opened to me in the Lord,

¹⁴ But thanks be to God, He always leading us in triumph in Christ, and the One revealing through us the odor of the knowledge of Him in every place. ¹⁵ For we are a sweet smell to God because of Christ in those being saved, and in those being lost; ¹⁶ to the one, an odor of death unto death, and to the other, an odor of life unto life. And who is sufficient for these things?

⁴ in whom the god of this age has blinded the thoughts of the unbelieving, so that the brightness of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should not dawn on them.

¹³ through the proof of this service, they glorifying God by your freely expressed submission to the gospel of Christ, and the generosity of the fellowship toward them and toward all;

⁴ for the weapons of our warfare are not fleshly, but powerful to God in order to pull down strongholds, ⁵ pulling down imaginations and every high thing lifting up itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought into the obedience of Christ,

⁷ which is not another; only there are some troubling you and desiring to pervert the gospel of Christ.

⁵ because of the hope being laid up for you in Heaven, which you heard before in the Word of the truth of the gospel, ⁶ coming to you, as also in all the world, and it is bearing fruit even also among you, from the day in which you heard and knew the grace of God in truth;

⁵ For our gospel did not come to you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Spirit, and in much assurance, even as you know what kind we were among you for your sake. ⁶ And you became imitators of us and of the Lord, welcoming the Word in much affliction with joy of the Holy Spirit.

¹³ And because of this we give thanks to God without ceasing, that having received the Word of hearing from us, you welcomed it as of God, not as a word of men, but as it is, truly the Word of God, which also works in you, the ones believing.

¹¹ according to the gospel of the glory of the blessed God with which I was entrusted.

⁸ Then do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me, His prisoner. But suffer hardship with the gospel, according to the power of God,

¹² For which cause I also suffer these things. But I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed, and I am persuaded that He is able to guard my deposit until that Day.

¹⁶ May the Lord give mercy to the house of Onesiphorus, because he often refreshed me, and he was not ashamed of my chain,

¹² For the word of God is living, and powerfully working, and sharper than every two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of both soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge of the thoughts and intentions of the heart;

¹⁶ But if one suffers as a Christian, do not let him be ashamed, but to glorify God in this respect.

⁴ Behold, the soul of him is puffed up and is not upright; but the just shall live by his faith.

³⁶ The one believing into the Son has everlasting life; but the one disobeying the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.

³ For what if some did not believe? Will their unbelief destroy the faith of God?

³⁰ What then shall we say? That the nations not following after righteousness have taken on righteousness, but a righteousness of faith;

¹¹ And that no one is justified by law before God is clear because, "The just shall live by faith." Hab. 2:4

⁹ and be found in Him; not having my own righteousness of Law, but through the faith of Christ, having the righteousness of God on faith,

³⁸ "But the just shall live by faith;" "and if he draws back," "My soul is not pleased in him." Hab. 2:4

⁶ But without faith it is impossible to please God . For it is right that the one drawing near to God should believe that He is, and that He becomes a rewarder to the ones seeking Him out. ⁷ Being warned by God about the things not yet having been seen, moved with fear, by faith Noah prepared an ark for the salvation of his house; through which he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness according to faith.

⁴⁶ the lord of that slave will come in the day in which he does not expect, and in an hour which he does not know. And he will cut him apart and will put his portion with the unbelievers. ⁴⁷ But that slave knowing the will of his Lord, and not preparing, nor doing according to His will, will be beaten with many stripes .

¹⁹ And this is the judgment, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness more than the Light, for their works were evil. ²⁰ For everyone practicing wickedness hates the Light, and does not come to the Light, that his works may not be exposed. ²¹ But the one doing the truth comes to the Light, that his works may be revealed, that they exist, having been worked in God.

²⁴ And after some days, Felix having arrived with his wife Drusilla, who was a Jewess, he sent for Paul. And he heard him concerning the faith in Christ. ²⁵ And Paul having reasoned concerning righteousness and self control, and the Judgment that is about to be, becoming afraid, Felix answered, For the present, go; but taking time later, I will call for you;

¹⁹ because the thing known of God is clearly known within them, for God revealed it to them.

²⁸ And even as they did not think fit to have God in their knowledge, God gave them up to a reprobate mind, to do the things not right,

³² who knowing the righteous order of God, that those practicing such things are worthy of death, not only do them, but also applaud those practicing them .

³ And, O man, the one judging those practicing such things, and doing them, do you think that you will escape the judgment of God?

¹⁵ who show the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience witnessing with them, and the thoughts between one another accusing or even excusing, ¹⁶ in a day when God judges the hidden things of men, according to my gospel, through Jesus Christ. ¹⁷ Behold, you are called a Jew, and rest in the Law, and boast in God, ¹⁸ and know the will, and approve the things excelling, being instructed out of the Law, ¹⁹ and persuading yourself to be a guide of blind ones, a light to those in darkness, ²⁰ an instructor of foolish ones, a teacher of infants, having the form of knowledge and of the truth in the Law. ²¹ Then the one teaching another, do you not teach yourself? The one preaching not to steal, do you steal? ²² The one saying not to commit adultery, do you commit adultery? The one detesting the idols, do you rob temples? ²³ You who boast in Law, do you dishonor God through transgression of the Law?

¹⁵ For the law works out wrath; for where no law is, neither is transgression.

⁶ for we yet being without strength, in due time Christ died for ungodly ones.

⁹ Much more then, being justified now by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.

¹³ Neither present your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but present yourselves to God as one living from the dead, and your members instruments of righteousness to God.

⁶ Let no one deceive you with empty words, for through these the wrath of God comes on the sons of disobedience.

⁶ on account of which things the wrath of God is coming on the sons of disobedience,

¹⁰ and in all deceit of unrighteousness in those being lost, because they did not receive the love of the truth in order for them to be saved.

¹ But the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, cleaving to deceiving spirits and teachings of demons, ² in lying speakers in hypocrisy, being seared in their own conscience,

¹ To the chief musician. A Psalm of David. The heavens are recording the glory of God, and the expanse proclaim His handiwork. ² Day by day they pour forth speech, and night to night reveals knowledge. ³ There is no speech, nor are there words where their voice is not heard. ⁴ Their measuring line has gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world; in them He has set up a dwelling-place for the sun, ⁵ and he comes forth like a bridegroom from his canopy. He rejoices like a hero to run a race; ⁶ his going forth from the end of the heavens, and his orbit to their ends; and nothing is hidden from his heat.

²⁶ Lift up your eyes on high and look: Who has created these? Who brings out their host by number? By greatness of vigor, and might of power, He calls them all by names; not one is lacking.

¹⁰ But Jehovah is the true God, He is the living God and the everlasting King. At His wrath the earth shall tremble, and the nations shall not be able to stand His indignation. ¹¹ So you shall say to them, The gods who have not made the heavens and the earth, they shall perish from the earth and from under these heavens. ¹² It is He who made the earth by His power, who established the world by His wisdom, and who stretched out the heavens by His understanding. ¹³ When He utters His voice, there is a noise of waters in the heavens. He causes the vapors to go up from the ends of the earth; He makes lightnings for the rain and brings forth the wind out of His storehouses.

⁹ He was the true Light; He enlightens every man coming into the world.

¹⁶ who in the generations which have passed allowed all the nations to go in their own ways, ¹⁷ though indeed He did not leave Himself without witness, doing good, giving rain and fruitful seasons to us from heaven, filling our hearts with food and gladness.

²³ for passing through and looking up at the objects of your worship, I also found an altar on which had been written, TO AN UNKNOWN GOD. Not knowing, then, whom you worship, I make Him known to you. ²⁴ The God who made the world and all things in it, this One being Lord of Heaven and of earth, does not dwell in handmade temples, ²⁵ nor is served by hands of men, as having need of anything. For He is giving life and breath and all things to all. ²⁶ And He made every nation of men of one blood, to live on all the face of the earth, ordaining fore-appointed seasons and boundaries of their dwelling, ²⁷ to seek the Lord, if perhaps they might feel after Him and might find Him, though indeed He not being far from each one of us. ²⁸ For in Him we live and move and exist, as also some of the poets among you have said, For we are also His offspring. ²⁹ Then being offspring of God, we ought not to suppose that the Godhead is like gold or silver or stone, engraved by art and the imagination of man. ³⁰ Truly, then, God overlooking the times of ignorance, now strictly commands all men everywhere to repent,

²⁰ for the unseen things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things made, both His eternal power and Godhead, for them to be without excuse.

³³ And he planted a tamarisk tree in Beersheba, and there he called on the name of Jehovah the everlasting God.

¹⁹ and that you not lift up your eyes towards the heavens and shall see the sun, and the heavens, and you be drawn away and worship them, and serve them; which Jehovah your God has allotted to all the peoples under all the heavens.

²⁷ The God of old is a refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms. And He shall cast the enemy out from before you, and shall say, Destroy!

²⁶ if I looked to the light when it shone, or the moon marching in splendor, ²⁷ and my heart was secretly enticed. or my mouth has kissed my hand; ²⁸ this also would be an iniquity for the judges; for I would have denied God above.

³ When I look upon Your heavens, the work of Your fingers: the moon and the stars which You have fixed;

⁶ Through Jehovah's word the heavens were made, and all their host by the breath of His mouth. ⁷ The waters of the sea were gathered like a heap, setting the depths in storehouses. ⁸ Let all the earth fear Jehovah; let all dwellers in the world stand in awe of Him. ⁹ For He spoke, and it came into being; He commanded, and it stood fast.

² Before the mountains were born, or ever You had formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting You are God.

⁵ He founded the earth on its foundations; it shall not be shaken forever and ever.

³¹ The glory of Jehovah shall be forever; Jehovah shall rejoice in His works.

⁹⁰ Your fidelity is to generation and generation; You founded the earth, and it stands.

¹³ For You have possessed my inward parts; You wove me in the womb of my mother.

⁸ fire and hail, snow and smoke, stormy wind fulfilling His word, ⁹ mountains and all hills, fruitful trees and all cedars, ¹⁰ beasts and all livestock, creeping things and birds of the wing, ¹¹ kings of the earth and all people, princes and all judges of the earth, ¹² young men and virgins too, old men and youths.

⁶ For a Child is born; to us a Son is given; and the government is on His shoulder; and His name is called Wonderful, Counselor, the mighty God, the everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace.

⁴ Trust in Jehovah forever, for in Jah Jehovah is everlasting strength.

²¹ Now hear this, O foolish people, even you without heart, who have eyes and do not see. who have ears and do not hear.

⁴⁵ so that you may become sons of your Father in Heaven. Because He causes the sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the just and unjust.

¹⁸ No one has seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, that One reveals Him .

²² If I had not come and had not spoken to them, they had no sin. But now they do not have excuse as to their sin.

²⁹ Then being offspring of God, we ought not to suppose that the Godhead is like gold or silver or stone, engraved by art and the imagination of man.

¹ Men, brothers, and fathers, hear my defense now to you.

¹ Therefore, O man, you are without excuse, everyone who judges, for in that in which you judge the other, you condemn yourself; for you, those judging, practice the same things.

¹⁵ who show the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience witnessing with them, and the thoughts between one another accusing or even excusing,

¹⁵ who is the image of the invisible God, the First-born of all creation.

⁹ For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily;

¹⁷ Now to the King eternal, incorruptible, invisible, the only wise God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.

¹⁶ the only One having immortality, living in light that cannot be approached, whom no one of men saw, nor can see; to whom be honor and everlasting might. Amen.

²⁷ By faith he left Egypt, not fearing the anger of the king; for he kept on as seeing the Invisible One .

⁵ And Jehovah saw that the evil of man was great on the earth, and every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil all the day long.

²¹ And Jehovah smelled the soothing fragrance, and Jehovah said in His heart, I will never again curse the ground for the sake of man, because the imagination of the heart of man is evil from his youth. Yea, I will not again smite every living thing as I have done;

²⁹ And you shall grope at noonday as the blind grope in darkness. And you shall not prosper in your ways. And you shall be always oppressed and plundered all the days; and there will be no one to save.

¹⁵ And they rejected His statutes and His covenant that He made with their fathers, and His testimonies that He testified against them, and went after the vain thing, and became vain, and after the nations that were around them, of whom Jehovah had commanded them not to do like them.

²³ Whoever offers thanks glorifies Me; and he who prepares a way, I will show the salvation of God to him.

¹² So I gave them up to the stubbornness of their own hearts; they walked in their own conceits.

⁹ All nations whom You have made shall come and worship before You; yea, Lord, they shall glorify Your name.

²⁹ Behold, this only I have found, that God has made man upright, but they have sought out many inventions.

⁹ Those who form a carved image are all of them vanity. And their delights do not profit; and they are their own witnesses. They do not see, nor know, that they may be ashamed. ¹⁰ Who has formed a god, or poured out an image, to no profit? ¹¹ Behold, all his companions shall be ashamed; and the craftsmen, they are from men. They shall assemble, all of them shall stand; they shall dread; they shall be shamed together. ¹² He carves iron with a tool; he works in the coals and forms it with hammers, and works it with his powerful arm; then he is hungry, and has no strength; he drinks no water and is weary. ¹³ He fashions wood, and stretches a line; he marks it with a stylus; he shapes it with a carving tool, and he marks it with a compass. And he makes it according to the figure of a man, as the beauty of a man, to sit in the house. ¹⁴ He cuts down cedars and takes cypress and oak, and he makes the trees of the forest strong for him. He plants a tree, and rain makes it grow. ¹⁵ And it shall be for a man to burn; yea, he takes of them and is warmed; and he kindles it and bakes bread. Yea, he makes a god and worships; he makes a carved image and bows to it. ¹⁶ He burns half of it in the fire; he eats flesh on half of it; he roasts roast, and is satisfied. Then he warms himself and says, Ah, I am warm; I have seen the fire. ¹⁷ And he makes a god of the rest, his carved image; he bows to it and worships, and prays to it, and says, Deliver me, for you are my god. ¹⁸ They do not know, nor discern; for He has smeared their eyes from seeing, their hearts from understanding. ¹⁹ And not one turns back to his heart, nor has knowledge nor discernment to say, I have burned half of it in the fire; and I also have baked bread on its coals. I have roasted flesh and have eaten it; and I have made the rest of it into an idol. Shall I bow to a product of a tree? ²⁰ Feeding on ashes, a deceived heart turns him aside, and he does not deliver his soul, nor say, Is there not a lie in my right hand?

² For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the peoples. But Jehovah shall rise on you, and His glory shall be seen on you.

⁵ So says Jehovah, What iniquity have your fathers found in Me, that they went far from Me and have walked after vanity, and have become vain?

³ For the ordinances of the people are vanity. For one cuts a tree out of the forest with the axe, the work of the hands of the craftsman. ⁴ They adorn it with silver and with gold; they fasten them with nails and hammers, so that it will not wobble. ⁵ They are like a rounded post, and they cannot speak; they must surely be carried, because they cannot walk. Do not be afraid of them, for they cannot do evil nor good; it is not with them. ⁶ There is none like You, O Jehovah; You are great, and Your name is great in might. ⁷ Who would not fear You, O King of nations? For it is fitting to You, because there is none like You among all the wise of the nations, and in all their kingdoms. ⁸ But they are at once foolish and animal like; their tree is an instruction of vanities.

¹⁴ Every man is stupid from lack of knowledge; every refiner is put to shame by the carved image. For his molten image is a lie and no breath is in them. ¹⁵ They are vanity, the work of delusion. In the time of their judgment they shall perish.

¹⁹ O Jehovah, my strength and my fortress, and my refuge in the day of affliction, the nations shall come to You from the ends of the earth and say, Our fathers have inherited only lies, vanity, and there is no profit in them.

⁸ For she did not know that I gave her grain and wine and oil, and I multiplied her silver and the gold they prepared for Baal.

¹⁵ He takes up all of him with the hook; he drags him with his net and gathers him with his seine. On account of this he rejoices and exults. ¹⁶ So he sacrifices to his net, and burns incense to his seine; because by them his portion is fat, and his food rich.

¹⁵ And one of them, seeing that he was cured, returned glorifying God with a loud voice. ¹⁶ And he fell on his face at His feet, thanking Him. And he was a Samaritan. ¹⁷ And answering, Jesus said, Were not the ten cleansed? But where are the nine? ¹⁸ Were not any found returning to give glory to God except this foreigner?

¹⁹ And this is the judgment, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness more than the Light, for their works were evil.

¹⁸ to open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the authority of Satan to God, in order that they may receive remission of sins, and an inheritance among those being sanctified by faith in Me.

¹⁰ "let their eyes be darkened, not to see, and their back always bowing." LXX-68:23, 24; MT-Psa. 69:22, 23

⁹ and for the nations to glorify God for mercy, even as it has been written, "Because of this I will confess to You in the nations, and I will give praise to Your name." Psa. 18:49

¹⁷ Therefore, I say this, and testify in the Lord, that you no longer walk even as also the rest of the nations walk, in the vanity of their mind, ¹⁸ having been darkened in the understanding, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance which is in them because of the hardness of their heart,

² For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, braggarts, arrogant, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

¹⁸ knowing that not with corruptible things, silver or gold, you were redeemed from your worthless way of life handed down from your fathers,

⁷ saying in a great voice, Fear God, and give glory to Him, because the hour of His judgment has come; also, Worship "Him who has made the heaven, and the earth, and the sea," and the fountains of waters. Ex. 20:11

⁴ Who will not fear You, Lord, and glorify Your name? For You only are holy. For all the nations will come and will worship before You, because Your righteousnesses were made known.

¹⁴ A man boasting himself of a false gift is like clouds and wind, but with no rain.

¹² Do you see a man wise in his own eyes? There is more hope for a fool than for him.

¹⁰ For you trusted in your evil; you said, No one sees me. Your wisdom and your knowledge perverts you, and you said in your heart, I am and none else is .

⁸ How do you say, We are wise, and the law of Jehovah is with us? Behold, the lying pen of the scribes has certainly worked deceit. ⁹ The wise are ashamed; they are terrified and are captured. Behold, they have rejected the word of Jehovah, and what wisdom is theirs?

¹⁴ Every man is stupid from lack of knowledge; every refiner is put to shame by the carved image. For his molten image is a lie and no breath is in them.

²³ But if your eye is evil, all your body is dark. If, then, the light in you is darkness, how great is the darkness!

¹⁵ Therefore you shall carefully watch over your souls, for you have not seen any likeness in the day Jehovah spoke to you in Horeb out of the midst of the fire, ¹⁶ that you not deal corruptly, and make for yourselves a graven image, a likeness of any figure, the form of a male or female, ¹⁷ the form of any animal in the earth; the form of any winged bird that flies in the heavens; ¹⁸ The form of any creeping thing on the ground; the form of any fish in the waters under the earth;

⁸ You shall not make a graven image for you, any likeness of anything in the heavens above, or in the earth beneath, and in the waters from under the earth.

²⁰ and they changed their Glory into the image of an ox eating grass.

⁵ they have mouths, but they do not speak; they have eyes, but they do not see; ⁶ they have ears, but they do not hear; they have a nose, but they do not smell; ⁷ their hands do not feel; their feet do not walk; they do not mutter through their throat. ⁸ The ones who make them are like them, and everyone trusting in them.

¹⁵ The idols of the nations are silver and gold, the work of men's hands; ¹⁶ they have mouths, but they say nothing; they have eyes, but they see nothing; ¹⁷ they have ears, but they hear nothing; yea, there is no breath in their mouths. ¹⁸ Those who make them are like them, everyone who is trusting in them.

¹⁸ And to whom will you liken God? Or what likeness will you array to Him?

¹³ He fashions wood, and stretches a line; he marks it with a stylus; he shapes it with a carving tool, and he marks it with a compass. And he makes it according to the figure of a man, as the beauty of a man, to sit in the house.

¹¹ Has a nation changed its gods, and they were not gods? But My people have changed their Glory without it having profit.

¹⁰ And I went in and looked. And, behold, every form of creeping thing, and hateful beast, and all the idols of the house of Israel were carved on the wall all around.

²⁵ who changed the truth of God into the lie, and worshiped and served the created thing more than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.

² You know that being led away, you nations were led to dumb idols.

³ For the time of life having passed is sufficient for us to have worked out the will of the nations, having gone on in wantonness, lusts, drunkenness, parties, carousings, and unlawful idolatries;

²⁰ And the rest of men, those not killed by these plagues, did not repent of the works of their hands, that they will not worship demons, and "golden idols, and silver, and bronze, and stone, and wooden idols, which neither are able to see, nor to hear," nor to walk. Dan. 5:23; Psa. 115:4 -7; 135:15-17

²² And you shall not lie with a male as one lies with a woman; it is a perversion.

¹¹ But My people would not listen to My voice, and Israel did not consent to Me. ¹² So I gave them up to the stubbornness of their own hearts; they walked in their own conceits.

¹⁷ Ephraim is joined to idols. Let him alone. ¹⁸ Their drink is sour. They are continually fornicating. Her shields dearly love shame.

¹⁴ Leave them alone. They are blind leaders of the blind; and if the blind lead the blind, both will fall into a pit.

⁴² But God turned and gave them over to serve the host of the heaven, as it has been written in the book of the Prophets: "Did you bring slain beasts and sacrifices to Me forty years in the wilderness, O house of Israel?

¹⁶ who in the generations which have passed allowed all the nations to go in their own ways,

²⁶ Because of this, God gave them up to dishonorable passions, for even their females changed the natural use to that contrary to nature. ²⁷ And likewise, the males also forsaking the natural use of the female burned in their lust toward one another, males with males working out shamefulness, and receiving back within themselves the reward which was fitting for their error. ²⁸ And even as they did not think fit to have God in their knowledge, God gave them up to a reprobate mind, to do the things not right,

¹² Then do not let sin rule in your mortal body, to obey it in its lusts. ¹³ Foods for the belly, and the belly for foods, but God will destroy both this and these. But the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body.

¹⁸ Flee fornication. Every sin which a man may do is outside the body, but he doing fornication sins against his own body.

¹⁸ having been darkened in the understanding, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance which is in them because of the hardness of their heart, ¹⁹ who, having cast off all feeling, gave themselves up to lust, for the working of all uncleanness with greediness.

⁴ each one of you to know to possess his vessel in sanctification and honor,

¹⁰ and in all deceit of unrighteousness in those being lost, because they did not receive the love of the truth in order for them to be saved. ¹¹ And because of this, God will send to them a working of error, for them to believe the lie, ¹² that all may be judged, those not believing the truth, but who have delighted in unrighteousness.

²⁰ But in a great house not only are there vessels of gold and silver, but also of wood and of earth, and some to honor and some to dishonor. ²¹ Then if anyone purifies himself from these, he will be a vessel to honor, having been sanctified and made useful to the Master, having been prepared to every good work. ²² But flee youthful lusts and pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace, with the ones calling on the Lord out of a pure heart.

¹⁹ And blessed is His glorious name forever; and the whole earth is filled with His glory! Amen and amen!

¹ A Psalm of Praise, of David. I will exalt you, my God, O King; and bless Your name forever and ever. ² I will bless You every day; and I will praise Your name forever and ever.

²⁰ Feeding on ashes, a deceived heart turns him aside, and he does not deliver his soul, nor say, Is there not a lie in my right hand?

²⁵ This is your lot, the share of your measure from Me, declares Jehovah, because you have forgotten Me and have trusted in falsehood.

⁴ So says Jehovah: For three transgressions of Judah, and for four, I will not turn back from it; for they despised the law of Jehovah, and they have not kept His statutes. And their lies after which their fathers walked led them astray.

¹⁸ What does an image profit, for its maker has carved it; a molten image, and a teacher of falsehood? For does the maker trust in his work on it, to make mute idols?

²⁴ No one is able to serve two lords; for either he will hate the one, and he will love the other; or he will cleave to the one, and he will despise the other. You are not able to serve God and wealth.

³⁷ He that loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he that loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me.

⁸ And He said to them, Now draw out and carry to the master of the feast. And they carried it.

¹⁸ For God's wrath is revealed from Heaven on all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, holding the truth in unrighteousness,

²³ and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into a likeness of an image of corruptible man, and of birds, and four-footed animals, and creeping things.

⁹ For they themselves announce concerning us what kind of entrance we have to you, and how you had turned to God from the idols, to serve the true and living God,

⁴ betrayers, reckless, puffed up, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,

¹⁵ Do not love the world nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him, ¹⁶ because all that which is in the world: the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

⁵ And they called to Lot and said to him, Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us, that we may know them.

²² And you shall not lie with a male as one lies with a woman; it is a perversion. ²³ And you shall not give your semen with any animal, for uncleanness with it. And a woman shall not stand before an animal to lie down with it; it is a shameful mixing. ²⁴ Do not defile yourself with all these, for with all these the nations have been defiled, which I am casting out before you; ²⁵ and the land is defiled, and I will visit its iniquity on it; and the land is vomiting out its inhabitants; ²⁶ and you, you shall keep My statutes and My judgments, and shall not do any of all these disgusting acts; neither the native nor the alien who is staying in your midst. ²⁷ For the men of the land who are before you have done all these disgusting things, and the land is defiled. ²⁸ Do not do these lest the land vomit you out for your defiling it, as it has vomited out the nation that was before you.

¹⁷ There shall be no prostitute among the daughters of Israel, nor shall there be a homosexual among the sons of Israel. ¹⁸ You shall not bring the hire of a prostitute, or the price of a dog, into the house of Jehovah your God for any vow; for even both of these are an abomination to Jehovah your God.

²² They were making their hearts merry. And, behold, men of the city, sons of worthless men, went around the house, beating on the door. And they spoke to the old man, the house-master, saying, Bring out the man who has come into your house, and we shall know him.

²⁴ Because of this, God gave them up to impurity in the lusts of their hearts, their bodies to be dishonored among themselves,

⁹ Or do you not know that unjust ones will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be led astray, neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor abusers, nor homosexuals,

¹⁹ who, having cast off all feeling, gave themselves up to lust, for the working of all uncleanness with greediness.

¹² For it is shameful even to speak of the things being done by them in secret.

⁵ not in passion of lust, even as also the nations do, not knowing God;

¹⁰ for fornicators, for homosexuals, for slave-traders, for liars, for perjurers, and if any other thing opposes sound doctrine,

⁷ as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities around them, in like manner to these, committing fornication, and going away after other flesh, laid down an example before-times, undergoing vengeance of everlasting fire.

¹⁰ But what things they do not know, they speak evil of these. And what things they understand naturally, like the animals without reason, they are corrupted by these.

¹³ And a man who lies with a male as one lies with a woman, both of them have done a detestable thing; they shall certainly be put to death; their blood shall be on them.

²³ and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into a likeness of an image of corruptible man, and of birds, and four-footed animals, and creeping things. ²⁴ Because of this, God gave them up to impurity in the lusts of their hearts, their bodies to be dishonored among themselves,

¹⁴ And they say to God, Depart from us, for we do not desire the knowledge of Your ways. ¹⁵ What is the Almighty, that we should serve Him? And what do we profit if we entreat Him?

⁷ The fear of Jehovah is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction.

²⁹ Instead they hated knowledge and chose not the fear of Jehovah.

¹² and say, How I have hated instruction, and my heart despised correction; ¹³ and I have not bowed to the voice of my teachers, nor bowed my ears to those instructing me.

¹⁶ Why is there hire in a fool's hand to get wisdom, and there is no heart for it ?

²² For My people are foolish. They do not know Me. They are stupid children, and they have no understanding. They are wise to do evil, but they do not know to do good.

³⁰ Men will call them reprobate silver, for Jehovah has rejected them.

⁶ Your home is in the midst of deceit; through deceit they refuse to know Me says Jehovah.

⁶ My people are cut off for lack of knowledge. Because you rejected the knowledge, I also rejected you from being priest to Me. Since you have forgotten the law of your God, I will forget your sons, even I.

²³ for passing through and looking up at the objects of your worship, I also found an altar on which had been written, TO AN UNKNOWN GOD. Not knowing, then, whom you worship, I make Him known to you.

³² And hearing of a resurrection of the dead, some indeed ridiculed, but said, We will hear you again concerning this.

²¹ Because knowing God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful. But they became vain in their reasonings, and their undiscerning heart was darkened.

²⁶ Because of this, God gave them up to dishonorable passions, for even their females changed the natural use to that contrary to nature.

⁷ because the mind of the flesh is enmity towards God; for it is not subject to the law of God, for neither can it be . ⁸ And those being in the flesh are not able to please God.

³⁴ Be righteously awake, and do not sin; for some have ignorance of God. I speak to your shame.

⁴ in whom the god of this age has blinded the thoughts of the unbelieving, so that the brightness of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should not dawn on them. ⁵ For we do not proclaim ourselves, but Christ Jesus as Lord, and ourselves your slaves for the sake of Jesus. ⁶ Because it is God who said, "Out of darkness Light shall shine," who shone in our hearts to give the brightness of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. Isa. 42:6, 7, 16

⁵ pulling down imaginations and every high thing lifting up itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought into the obedience of Christ,

⁵ Examine yourselves, whether you are in the faith, prove yourselves. Or do you not yourselves perceive that Jesus Christ is in you, unless you are reprobates? ⁶ And I hope you will know that we are not reprobates. ⁷ But I pray to God for you not to do evil, none. It is not that we may appear approved, but that you may do the good, and we deemed to be reprobates.

⁴ also baseness, and foolish talking, or joking (the things not becoming), but rather thanksgiving.

⁸ in flaming fire giving full vengeance to those not knowing God, and to those not obeying the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, Isa. 66:15; Jer. 10:25

⁸ But in the way Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so also these withstand the truth, men having been corrupted in mind, found worthless as to the faith.

¹⁶ They profess to know God, but by their works they deny Him, being abominable and disobedient, and worthless to every good work.

⁸ Because of this, having much boldness in Christ to enjoin you to do what is becoming,

⁵ For this is hidden from them by their willing it so, that heavens were of old, and earth by water, and through water, being held together by the word of God,

⁷ All my haters whisper together against me; they plot evil against me,

²⁸ A perverse man causes strife, and a whisperer separates close friends.

²⁰ The fire goes out where there is no wood, so the strife ceases where there is no whisperer.

¹⁰ according as it has been written, "There is none righteous, not one!"

²⁰ For I fear lest somehow coming I not find you as I wish, and I be found by you such as you do not wish; lest somehow there be strifes, envyings, angers, rivalries, evil speakings, whisperings, proud thoughts, disturbances;

³⁵ And it happened when the ark pulled out, Moses said, Rise, O Jehovah, and Your enemies shall be scattered, and those hating You shall flee from Your presence.

¹⁰ and repaying to his face those that hate Him, to destroy him; He will not delay, He will repay him who hates Him to His face.

¹⁸ If a man has a stubborn and rebellious son who will not listen to his father's voice, or his mother's voice; even though they discipline him, he will not listen to them; ¹⁹ then his father and his mother shall lay hold on him and bring him out to the elders of his city, and to the gate of his place; ²⁰ and they shall say to the elders of his city, This son of ours is stubborn and rebellious; he will not listen to our voice; he is a glutton, and a drunkard. ²¹ And all the men of his city shall stone him with stones, and he shall die. So you shall put away the evil from among you, that all Israel shall hear, and fear.

¹⁶ Cursed is he who dishonors his father or his mother! And all the people shall say, Amen!

¹¹ And the king of Israel answered and said, Tell him, Do not let him that girds on boast himself like one who loosens his armor .

² And Jehu the son of Hanani, the seer, went out before him and said to king Jehoshaphat, Do you love to help the bad one, and those who hate Jehovah, and by this bring wrath on you from the face of Jehovah?

¹⁹ You have said, behold, I have stricken Edom, and your heart has lifted you up to boast; now, stay in your house; why should you stir yourself up to evil, that you should fall, you and Judah with you?

³ For the wicked boasts of his soul's desire, and he has blessed the covetous; he has despised Jehovah.

⁶ Those who trust in their wealth, and in their many riches, boast themselves.

¹ To the chief musician. A Contemplation. A Psalm of David when Doeg the Edomite came and told Saul, and said to him, David has come to the house of Ahimelech. Why do you boast yourself in evil, O hero? The mercy of God is all the day.

¹⁵ the haters of Jehovah shall be found untrue to Him, and their time is forever.

⁴ They gush, they speak impudent things; all the workers of evil speak proudly.

⁷ All who serve graven images are shamed, those who boast themselves in idols; all gods bow down before Him.

⁸ You answered them, O Jehovah our God; to them You were a God who forgives, but taking vengeance on their works.

³⁹ And they were unclean with their works, and went whoring in their acts.

³⁶ But he who sins against me does violence to his own soul; all who hate me love death.

²³ The north wind brings rain, so does a secret tongue an angry face.

¹⁷ The eye that mocks its father, and despises to obey its mother, the ravens of the valley shall pick it out, the sons of the eagle shall eat it.

⁷ In you they have despised father and mother. In your midst they have dealt with the alien by oppression. In you they oppressed the widow and the orphan.

⁴ For God commanded, saying, "Honor your father and mother," Ex. 20:12; Deut. 5:16 and, "The one speaking evil of father or mother, by death let him die." Ex. 21:17

²¹ From that time, Jesus began to show to His disciples that it was necessary for Him to go away to Jerusalem, and to suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and to be killed, and to be raised on the third day.

¹⁶ But you will be betrayed also by parents, and brothers, and relatives, and friends. And they will put some of you to death.

⁷ The world cannot hate you; but it hates Me because I witness about it, that its works are evil.

²³ The one hating Me also hates My Father. ²⁴ If I did not do the works among them which no other did, they had no sin. But now they both have seen and also have hated Me and My Father.

³⁶ For before these days Theudas rose up, claiming himself to be somebody, to whom was joined a number of men, about four hundred, who was done away, and all, as many as obeyed him, were dispersed and came to nothing.

¹⁷ Behold, you are called a Jew, and rest in the Law, and boast in God,

²³ You who boast in Law, do you dishonor God through transgression of the Law?

²⁷ Then where is the boasting? It was excluded. Through what law? Of works? No, but through a law of faith.

¹⁵ not boasting beyond measure in the labors of others, but having hope that the growing faith among you will be made larger according to our rule, to overflowing,

⁴ the one opposing and exalting himself over everything being called God, or object of worship, so as for him "to sit in the temple of God" as God, proclaiming that he himself is God. Dan. 11:36; Eze. 28:2

⁵ So also the tongue is a little member, and boasts great things. Behold, how little a fire kindles how large a forest!

¹⁶ but now you boast in your presumptions. All such boasting is evil.

¹⁸ For speaking great swelling words of vanity, by the lusts of the flesh, by unbridled lusts, they allure those indeed escaping the ones living in error,

¹⁶ These are murmurers, complainers, having gone according to their lusts, and their mouth speaks proud things, admiring faces for the sake of gain.

¹⁴ And Hezekiah the king of Judah sent to the king of Assyria, to Lachish, saying, I have offended, turn back from me; that which you put on me I will bear. And the king of Assyria laid on Hezekiah the king of Judah three hundred talents of silver and thirty talents of gold. ¹⁵ And Hezekiah gave all the silver that was found in the house of Jehovah, and in the treasures of the house of the king. ¹⁶ At that time Hezekiah cut off the doors of the temple of Jehovah, and the pillars that Hezekiah the king of Judah had overlaid, and gave them to the king of Assyria. ¹⁷ And the king of Assyria sent Tartan, and the chief of the eunuchs, and the chief of the cupbearers from Lachish, to king Hezekiah with a heavy force, to Jerusalem. And they went up and came to Jerusalem, and they went up and came in and stood by the conduit of the upper pool that was in the highway of the Fuller's Field. ¹⁸ And they called to the king, and Eliakim the son of Hilkiah, who was over the house, and Shebna the scribe, and Joah the son of Asaph the recorder went out to them. ¹⁹ And the chief of the cupbearers said to them, Now say to Hezekiah, So says the great king, the king of Assyria, What is this hope in which you have trusted? ²⁰ Do you say that a mere word of the lips is counsel and strength for battle; now, on whom have you trusted that you have rebelled against me? ²¹ Now, behold, you have trusted for yourself on the staff of this broken reed, on Egypt, which if a man lean on it, it will go into his hand and pierce it! So is Pharaoh the king of Egypt to all those who trust in him. ²² And when you say to me, We have trusted to Jehovah our God, is it not He whose high places and whose altars Hezekiah has removed, and has said to Judah and to Jerusalem, Before this altar you shall bow yourselves in Jerusalem? ²³ And, now, I ask you, exchange pledges for yourself to my lord the king of Assyria, and I will give to you two thousand horses if you are able to give for yourself riders on them. ²⁴ And how will you turn back the face of one prefect of the least of the servants of my lord, that you trust for yourself upon Egypt for chariots and for horsemen? ²⁵ Now, have I come up against this place to destroy it without Jehovah? Jehovah said to me, Go up against this land, and you shall destroy it. ²⁶ And Eliakim the son of Hilkiah, and Shebna, and Joah said to the chief of the cupbearers, Please speak Aramaic to your servants, for we understand; and do not speak with us in Jewish, in the ears of the people on the wall. ²⁷ And the chief of the cupbearers said to them, Has my master sent me to speak these words to your master, and to you, and not to the men that sit on the wall, to eat their own dung, and to drink the water of their own feet with you? ²⁸ And the chief of the cupbearers stood and called with a great voice in Jewish, and spoke and said, Hear the word of the great king, the king of Assyria; ²⁹ So says the king, Do not let Hezekiah delude you, for he is not able to deliver you out of his hand; ³⁰ and do not let Hezekiah make you trust to Jehovah, saying, Jehovah shall surely deliver us; and, This city shall not be given into the hand of the king of Assyria. ³¹ Do not listen to Hezekiah, for so says the king of Assyria, Make with me a blessing and come out to me; and you each shall eat of his vine, and each of his fig tree, and you each shall drink of the waters of his own well, ³² until I come; and I will take you to a land like your own land, a land of grain and new wine, a land of bread and vineyards, a land of olive oil, and honey; and live, and do not die; and do not listen to Hezekiah, when he persuades you, saying, Jehovah shall deliver us. ³³ Have the gods of the nations at all delivered each his land out of the hand of the king of Assyria? ³⁴ Where are the gods of Hamath and Arpad? Where are the gods of Sepharvaim, Hena, and Ivah, that they have delivered Samaria out of my hand? ³⁵ Who among all the gods of the lands have delivered their land out of my hand, that Jehovah should deliver Jerusalem out of my hand? ³⁶ But the people kept silent and did not answer him a word, for the command of the king was, saying, Do not answer him. ³⁷ And Eliakim the son of Hilkiah, who was over the house, and Shebna the scribe, and Joah the son of Asaph the recorder, came in to Hezekiah, having torn their garments; and they told him the words of the chief of the cupbearers.

² A fool has no delight in understanding, but only in uncovering his heart.

¹¹ When its boughs dry up, they are broken off. Women shall come and burn them, for it is a people with no understanding. On account of this His Maker shall not pity him, and His Former will not favor him.

⁸ The highways are deserted; the path crosser ceases. He has broken the covenant; he has rejected cities; he has not respected man.

¹⁶ But Jesus said, Are you also still without understanding?

²⁰ for the unseen things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things made, both His eternal power and Godhead, for them to be without excuse. ²¹ Because knowing God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful. But they became vain in their reasonings, and their undiscerning heart was darkened.

¹¹ There is none that understands, there is "not one that seeks after God.

³ without natural feeling, unyielding, slanderers, without self-control, savage, haters of good,

¹⁸ When you saw a thief, you were pleased with him; and you have taken part with adulterers.

³ They make the king glad with their evil, and the rulers with their lies.

¹⁰ And Judas Iscariot, one of the Twelve, went away to the chief priests, that he might betray Him to them. ¹¹ And hearing, they rejoiced and promised to give him silver. And he sought how he might opportunely betray Him.

⁴⁸ So you bear witness and consent to the works of your fathers; for they indeed killed them, and you build their tombs.

¹ And Saul was consenting to the doing away of him. And in that day a great persecution took place on the church which was in Jerusalem; and all were scattered throughout the regions of Judea and Samaria, except the apostles.

²⁰ And when the blood of Your witness Stephen was poured out, I myself also was standing by and consenting to his execution, and holding the garments of those killing him.

¹ Therefore, O man, you are without excuse, everyone who judges, for in that in which you judge the other, you condemn yourself; for you, those judging, practice the same things. ² But we know that the judgment of God is according to truth on those that practice such things. ³ And, O man, the one judging those practicing such things, and doing them, do you think that you will escape the judgment of God? ⁴ Or do you despise the riches of His kindness, and the forbearance and the longsuffering, not knowing that the kindness of God leads you to repentance? ⁵ But according to your hardness and your impenitent heart, do you treasure up to yourself wrath in a day of wrath, and revelation of a righteous judgment of God?

²¹ Therefore what fruit did you have then in the things over which you are now ashamed? For the end of those things is death.
