⁹ Then they said, Away hence, and they said, He is come alone as a stranger, and shall he iudge and rule? we will nowe deale worse with thee then with them. So they preassed sore vpon Lot himselfe, and came to breake the doore.

⁸ And the King of Israel said vnto Iehoshaphat, There is yet one man (Michaiah the sonne of Imlah) by whom we may aske counsel of the Lord, but I hate him: for he doeth not prophecie good vnto me, but euill. And Iehoshaphat sayd, Let not the King say so.

¹³ And the messenger that was gone to call Michaiah spake vnto him, saying, Beholde now, the wordes of the prophets declare good vnto the King with one accorde: let thy word therefore, I pray thee, be like the worde of one of them, and speake thou good.

²⁴ Then Zidkiiah the sonne of Chenaanah came neere, and smote Michaiah on the cheeke and sayd, When went the Spirite of the Lord from me, to speake vnto thee?

²⁹ Thus sayth the King, Let not Hezekiah deceiue you: for he shall not be able to deliuer you out of mine hand.

³² Till I come, and bring you to a land like your owne land, euen a land of wheate and wine, a land of bread and vineyardes, a lande of oliues oyle, and hony, that ye may liue and not die: and obey not Hezekiah, for he deceiueth you, saying, The Lord will deliuer vs.

⁹ And in the eight day they made a solemne assemblie: for they had made the dedication of the altar seuen daies, and the feast seuen dayes. ¹⁰ And the three and twentieth day of the seuenth moneth, he sent the people away into their tentes, ioyous and with glad heart, because of the goodnesse that the Lord had done for Dauid and for Salomon, and for Israel his people.

¹⁵ Nowe therefore let not Hezekiah deceiue you, nor seduce you after this sort, neither beleeue ye him: for none of all the gods of any nation or kingdome was able to deliuer his people out of mine hande and out of the hande of my fathers: howe much lesse shall your gods deliuer you out of mine hande?

¹² He scattereth the deuices of the craftie: so that their handes can not accomplish that which they doe enterprise. ¹³ He taketh the wise in their craftinesse, and the counsel of the wicked is made foolish.

¹⁸ For I am full of matter, and the spirite within me compelleth me. ¹⁹ Beholde, my belly is as the wine, which hath no vent, and like the new bottels that brast.

¹ Why doe the heathen rage, and the people murmure in vaine? ² The Kings of the earth band themselues, and the princes are assembled together against the Lord, and against his Christ. ³ Let vs breake their bands, and cast their cordes from vs. ⁴ But he that dwelleth in the heauen, shall laugh: the Lord shall haue them in derision. ⁵ Then shall hee speake vnto them in his wrath, and vexe them in his sore displeasure, saying, ⁶ Euen I haue set my King vpon Zion mine holy mountaine.

¹⁰ And they that know thy Name, will trust in thee: for thou, Lord, hast not failed them that seeke thee.

⁸ Gracious and righteous is the Lord: therefore will he teache sinners in the way. ⁹ Them that be meeke, will hee guide in iudgement, and teach the humble his way.

¹² What man is he that feareth the Lord? him wil he teache the way that hee shall chuse.

¹⁴ The secrete of the Lord is reueiled to them, that feare him: and his couenant to giue them vnderstanding.

⁸ O Lord, I haue loued the habitation of thine house, and the place where thine honour dwelleth.

¹⁰ The Lord breaketh the counsell of the heathen, and bringeth to nought the deuices of the people.

⁸ They shall be satisfied with the fatnesse of thine house, and thou shalt giue them drinke out of the riuer of thy pleasures. ⁹ For with thee is the well of life, and in thy light shall we see light.

⁸ I desired to doe thy good will, O my God: yea, thy Lawe is within mine heart. ⁹ I haue declared thy righteousnesse in the great Congregation: loe, I will not refraine my lippes: O Lord, thou knowest. ¹⁰ I haue not hidde thy righteousnesse within mine heart, but I haue declared thy trueth and thy saluation: I haue not conceiled thy mercy and thy trueth from the great Congregation.

² My soule thirsteth for God, euen for the liuing God: when shall I come and appeare before the presence of God?

¹ To him that excelleth. Destroy not. A Psalme of David on Michtam. Is it true? O Congregation, speake ye iustly? O sonnes of men, iudge ye vprightly? ² Yea, rather ye imagine mischiefe in your heart: your hands execute crueltie vpon the earth.

¹⁵ My mouth shall daily rehearse thy righteousnesse, and thy saluation: for I knowe not the nomber. ¹⁶ I will goe forwarde in the strength of the Lord God, and will make mention of thy righteousnesse, euen of thine onely.

⁵ The stout hearted are spoyled: they haue slept their sleepe, and all the men of strength haue not found their hands.

¹⁰ Surely the rage of man shall turne to thy praise: the remnant of the rage shalt thou restrayne.

² How long wil ye iudge vniustly, and accept the persons of the wicked? Selah.

⁴ Thy seede will I stablish for euer, and set vp thy throne from generation to generation. Selah.

²⁰ Hath the throne of iniquitie fellowship with thee, which forgeth wrong for a Lawe? ²¹ They gather them together against the soule of the righteous, and condemne the innocent blood.

²³ (Turne you at my correction: loe, I will powre out my mind vnto you, and make you vnderstand my wordes) ²⁴ Because I haue called, and ye refused: I haue stretched out mine hand, and none woulde regarde. ²⁵ But ye haue despised all my counsell, and would none of my correction. ²⁶ I will also laugh at your destruction, and mocke, when your feare commeth. ²⁷ Whe your feare cometh like sudden desolation, and your destruction shall come like a whirle wind: whe affliction and anguish shall come vpon you, ²⁸ Then shall they call vpon me, but I will not answere: they shall seeke me early, but they shall not finde me, ²⁹ Because they hated knowledge, and did not chuse the feare of the Lord. ³⁰ They would none of my counsell, but despised all my correction. ³¹ Therefore shall they eate of ye fruite of their owne way, and be filled with their owne deuises.

³ (For if thou callest after knowledge, and cryest for vnderstanding: ⁴ If thou seekest her as siluer, and searchest for her as for treasures, ⁵ Then shalt thou vnderstand the feare of the Lord, and finde the knowledge of God.

¹ Doth not wisedome crie? and vnderstanding vtter her voyce?

³ She cryeth besides the gates before the citie at the entrie of the doores,

³ She hath sent forth her maydens and cryeth vpon the highest places of the citie, saying,

⁷ He that reproueth a scorner, purchaseth to himselfe shame: and he that rebuketh the wicked, getteth himselfe a blot. ⁸ Rebuke not a scorner, least he hate thee: but rebuke a wise man, and he will loue thee.

¹¹ The mouth of a righteous man is a welspring of life: but iniquitie couereth the mouth of the wicked.

¹² A scorner loueth not him that rebuketh him, neither will he goe vnto the wise.

¹⁵ He that iustifieth the wicked, and he that condemneth the iust, euen they both are abomination to the Lord.

¹ For the desire thereof hee will separate himselfe to seeke it, and occupie himselfe in all wisdome. ² A foole hath no delite in vnderstanding: but that his heart may be discouered.

⁴ The words of a mans mouth are like deepe waters, and the welspring of wisdome is like a flowing riuer.

¹³ He that answereth a matter before hee heare it, it is folly and shame vnto him.

²³ ALSO THESE THINGS PERTEINE TO THE WISE, It is not good to haue respect of any person in iudgement.

²⁷ It is not good to eate much hony: so to search their owne glory is not glory.

¹ The wicked flee when none pursueth: but the righteous are bolde as a lyon.

²⁵ The feare of man bringeth a snare: but he that trusteth in the Lord, shalbe exalted.

¹ To all things there is an appointed time, and a time to euery purpose vnder the heauen. ² A time to bee borne, and a time to die: a time to plant, and a time to plucke vp that which is planted. ³ A time to slay, and a time to heale: a time to breake downe, and a time to builde. ⁴ A time to weepe, and a time to laugh: a time to mourne, and a time to dance. ⁵ A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones: a time to embrace, and a time to be farre from embracing. ⁶ A time to seeke, and a time to lose: a time to keepe, and a time to cast away. ⁷ A time to rent, and a time to sowe: a time to keepe silence, and a time to speake. ⁸ A time to loue, and a time to hate: a time of warre, and a time of peace. ⁹ What profite hath hee that worketh of the thing wherein he trauaileth? ¹⁰ I haue seene the trauaile that God hath giuen to ye sonnes of men to humble them thereby. ¹¹ He hath made euery thing beautifull in his time: also he hath set the worlde in their heart, yet can not man finde out the worke that God hath wrought from the beginning euen to the end. ¹² I know that there is nothing good in them, but to reioyce, and to doe good in his life. ¹³ And also that euery man eateth and drinketh, and seeth the commoditie of all his labour. this is the gift of God. ¹⁴ I knowe that whatsoeuer God shall doe, it shalbe for euer: to it can no man adde, and from it can none diminish: for God hath done it, that they should feare before him. ¹⁵ What is that that hath bene? that is nowe: and that that shalbe, hath now bene: for God requireth that which is past.

¹ I am come into my garden, my sister, my spouse: I gathered my myrrhe with my spice: I ate mine hony combe with mine hony, I dranke my wine with my milke: eate, O friends, drinke, and make you merie, O welbeloued.

²¹ Woe vnto them that are wise in their owne eyes, and prudent in their owne sight.

²³ Which iustifie the wicked for a rewarde, and take away the righteousnesse of the righteous from him.

¹ Yet the darkenesse shall not be according to the affliction that it had when at the first hee touched lightly the land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, nor afteward when he was more grieuous by the way of the sea beyond Iorden in Galile of the Gentiles. ² The people that walked in darkenes haue seene a great light: they that dwelled in the land of the shadowe of death, vpon them hath the light shined.

¹ But there shall come a rodde foorth of the stocke of Ishai, and a grasse shall growe out of his rootes.

³ And shall make him prudent in the feare of the Lord: for he shall not iudge after the sight of his eies, neither reproue by ye hearing of his eares. ⁴ But with righteousnesse shall he iudge the poore, and with equitie shall he reprooue for the meeke of the earth: and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lippes shall he slay the wicked.

¹⁰ And in that day the roote of Ishai, which shall stand vp for a signe vnto the people, the nations shall seeke vnto it, and his rest shall be glorious.

¹² And he shall set vp a signe to the nations, and assemble the dispersed of Israel, and gather the scattered of Iudah from the foure corners of the worlde.

³ Therefore with ioy shall ye drawe waters out of the welles of saluation.

¹⁴ Wherefore, heare the worde of the Lord, ye scornefull men that rule this people, which is at Ierusalem.

¹⁴ Therefore behold, I wil againe doe a marueilous worke in this people, euen a marueilous worke, and a wonder: for the wisdome of their wise men shall perish, and the vnderstanding of their prudent men shalbe hid. ¹⁵ Wo vnto them that seeke deepe to hide their counsell from the Lord: for their workes are in darkenes, and they say, Who seeth vs? and who knoweth vs? ¹⁶ Your turning of deuises shall it not be esteemed as the potters clay? for shall the worke say of him that made it, Hee made me not? or the thing formed, say of him that facioned it, He had none vnderstanding? ¹⁷ Is it not yet but a litle while, and Lebanon shall be turned into Carmel? and Carmel shall be counted as a forest? ¹⁸ And in that day shall the deafe heare the wordes of the booke, and the eyes of the blinde shall see out of obscuritie, and out of darkenesse. ¹⁹ The meeke in the Lord shall receiue ioye againe, and the poore men shall reioyce in the holy one of Israel.

²¹ Which made a man to sinne in ye worde, and tooke him in a snare: which reproued them in the gate, and made the iust to fall without cause.

¹⁵ Vntill the Spirit be powred vpon vs from aboue, and the wildernes become a fruitfull fielde, and the plenteous fielde be counted as a forest.

⁸ And there shalbe a path and a way, and the way shalbe called holy: the polluted shall not passe by it: for he shalbe with them, and walke in the way, and the fooles shall not erre.

² Speake comfortably to Ierusalem, and crye vnto her, that her warrefare is accomplished, that her iniquitie is pardoned: for she hath receiued of the Lords hand double for all her sinnes.

⁶ A voyce saide, Crie. And he saide, What shall I crie? All flesh is grasse, and all the grace thereof is as the floure of the fielde.

¹⁷ When the poore and the needy seeke water, and there is none (their tongue faileth for thirst: I the Lord will heare them: I the God of Israel will not forsake them) ¹⁸ I will open riuers in the toppes of the hils, and fountaines in the middes of the valleis: I will make the wildernesse as a poole of water, and the waste land as springs of water.

² He shall not crie, nor lift vp, nor cause his voice to be heard in the streete. ³ A bruised reede shall hee not breake, and the smoking flaxe shall he not quench: he shall bring foorth iudgement in trueth. ⁴ He shall not faile nor be discouraged till he haue set iudgement in the earth: and the yles shall waite for his lawe.

³ For I will powre water vpon the thirstie, and floods vpon the drie grounde: I will powre my Spirit vpon thy seede, and my blessing vpon thy buddes.

¹⁰ Which declare the last thing from the beginning: and from of olde, the things that were not done, saying, My counsell shall stand, and I will doe whatsoeuer I will.

⁶ And hee sayde, It is a small thing that thou shouldest be my seruaunt, to raise vp the tribes of Iaakob, and to restore the desolations of Israel: I will also giue thee for a light of the Gentiles, that thou maiest bee my saluation vnto the ende of the worlde. ⁷ Thus sayeth the Lord the redeemer of Israel, and his Holie one, to him that is despised in soule, to a nation that is abhorred, to a seruaunt of rulers, Kinges shall see, and arise, and princes shall worship, because of the Lord, that is faithfull: and ye Holy one of Israel, which hath chosen thee.

⁷ For the Lord God will helpe me, therefore shall I not bee confounded: therefore haue I set my face like a flint, and I knowe that I shall not be ashamed. ⁸ Hee is neere that iustifieth mee: who will contend with me? Let vs stande together: who is mine aduersarie? let him come neere to me.

⁸ Hee was taken out from prison, and from iudgement: and who shall declare his age? for he was cut out of the lande of the liuing: for the transgression of my people was he plagued.

¹ Ho, euery one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and ye that haue no siluer, come, bye and eate: come, I say, bye wine and milke without siluer and without money.

³ Encline your eares, and come vnto me: heare, and your soule shall liue, and I will make an euerlasting couenant with you, euen the sure mercies of Dauid.

⁴ Therefore I saide, Surely they are poore, they are foolish, for they know not the way of the Lord, nor the iudgement of their God. ⁵ I will get me vnto the great men, and will speake vnto them: for they haue knowen the way of the Lord, and the iudgement of their God: but these haue altogether broken the yoke, and burst the bondes.

⁶ Thine habitation is in the middes of deceiuers: because of their deceit they refuse to know me, sayth the Lord.

¹⁹ O Lord, thou art my force, and my strength and my refuge in the day of affliction: the Gentiles shall come vnto thee from the ends of the world, and shall say, Surely our fathers haue inherited lies, and vanitie, wherein was no profite.

⁵ Behold, The dayes come, saith the Lord, that I will raise vnto Dauid a righteous branche, and a King shall reigne, and prosper, and shall execute iudgement, and iustice in the earth.

Then he brought me, and caused me to returne to the brinke of the riuer. ⁷ Nowe when I returned, beholde, at the brinke of the riuer were very many trees on the one side, and on the other. ⁸ Then saide he vnto me, These waters issue out towarde the East countrey, and runne downe into the plaine, and shall goe into one sea: they shall runne into another sea, and the waters shalbe wholesome. ⁹ And euery thing that liueth, which moueth, wheresoeuer the riuers shall come, shall liue, and there shalbe a very great multitude of fish, because these waters shall come thither: for they shall be wholesome, and euery thing shall liue whither the riuer commeth. ¹⁰ And then the fishers shall stand vpon it, and from En-gedi euen vnto En-eglaim, they shall spread out their nettes: for their fish shalbe according to their kindes, as the fishe of the maine sea, exceeding many. ¹¹ But the myrie places thereof, and the marises thereof shall not be wholesome: they shalbe made salt pittes. ¹² And by this riuer vpon the brinke thereof, on this side, and on that side shall grow all fruitful trees, whose leafe shall not fade, neither shall ye fruit thereof faile: it shall bring forth new fruit according to his moneths, because their waters run out of ye Sanctuarie: and the fruite thereof shalbe meat, and the leafe thereof shalbe for medicine.

¹⁰ Many shalbe purified, made white, and tried: but the wicked shall doe wickedly, and none of the wicked shall haue vnderstanding: but the wise shall vnderstand.

Then said the Lord, Beholde, I wil set a line in the middes of my people Israel, and wil passe by them no more. ⁹ And the hye places of Izhak shalbe desolate, and the temples of Israel shalbe destroyed: and I wil rise against the house of Ieroboam with the sworde. ¹⁰ Then Amaziah the Priest of Beth-el sent to Ieroboam King of Israel, saying, Amos hath conspired against thee in the middes of the house of Israel: the lande is not able to beare all his wordes. ¹¹ For thus Amos saith, Ieroboam shall die by the sworde, and Israel shalbe led away captiue out of their owne land. ¹² Also Amaziah sayde vnto Amos, O thou the Seer, goe, flee thou away into the land of Iudah, and there eate thy bread and prophecie there. ¹³ But prophecie no more at Beth-el: for it is the Kings chappel, and it is the Kings court. ¹⁴ Then answered Amos, and said to Amaziah, I was no Prophet, neither was I a prophets sonne, but I was an herdman, and a gatherer of wilde figs. ¹⁵ And the Lord tooke me as I followed the flocke, and the Lord said vnto me, Go, prophecie vnto my people Israel.

¹¹ Beholde, the dayes come, sayeth the Lord God, that I will send a famine in the lande, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the word of the Lord. ¹² And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the North euen vnto the East shall they run to and from to seeke the worde of the Lord, and shall not finde it. ¹³ In that day shall the faire virgines and the yong men perish for thirst.

⁵ Trust ye not in a friend, neither put ye confidence in a counseller: keepe the doores of thy mouth from her that lyeth in thy bosome. ⁶ For the sonne reuileth the father: ye daughter riseth vp against her mother: the daughter in lawe against her mother in lawe, and a mans enemies are the men of his owne house.

This shall be the plague wherewith the Lord will smite all the heathen, that come not vp to keepe the feast of Tabernacles. ¹⁹ This shall be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all the nations that come not vp to keepe the feast of Tabernacles.

¹⁰ Beleeuest thou not, that I am in the Father, and the Father is in me? The wordes that I speake vnto you, I speake not of my selfe: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the workes.

⁴ God forbid: yea, let God be true, and euery man a lyar, as it is written, That thou mightest be iustified in thy words, and ouercome, when thou art iudged.

⁷ Doutles one will scarce die for a righteous man: but yet for a good man it may be that one dare die.

⁸ Which none of the princes of this world hath knowen: for had they knowen it, they would not haue crucified the Lord of glory.

¹⁴ But the naturall man perceiueth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishnesse vnto him: neither can hee knowe them, because they are spiritually discerned. ¹⁵ But hee that is spirituall, discerneth all things: yet he himselfe is iudged of no man. ¹⁶ For who hath knowen the minde of the Lord, that hee might instruct him? But we haue the minde of Christ.

¹³ For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we bee Iewes, or Grecians, whether we be bonde, or free, and haue bene all made to drinke into one Spirit.

¹⁸ Yea, God is faithfull, that our worde towarde you was not Yea, and Nay.

⁸ Howe shall not the ministration of the Spirite be more glorious?

⁶ For God that commanded the light to shine out of darknesse, is he which hath shined in our hearts, to giue the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Iesus Christ.

⁸ By honour, and dishonour, by euill report, and good report, as deceiuers, and yet true:

¹² For before that certaine came from Iames, he ate with the Gentiles: but when they were come, he withdrew and separated himselfe, fearing them which were of the Circumcision. ¹³ And the other Iewes played the hypocrites likewise with him, in so much that Barnabas was led away with them by that their hypocrisie.

¹⁷ And this I say, that the couenant that was confirmed afore of God in respect of Christ, the Lawe which was foure hundreth and thirtie yeeres after, can not disanull, that it shoulde make the promise of none effect.

¹⁹ Wherefore then serueth the Law? It was added because of the transgressions, til the seed came, vnto the which the promise was made: and it was ordeined by Angels in the hande of a Mediatour.

⁴ But when the fulnesse of time was come, God sent forth his Sonne made of a woman, and made vnder the Lawe,

¹⁶ Am I therefore become your enemie, because I tell you the trueth?

²² But the fruite of the Spirit is loue, ioye, peace, long suffering, gentlenes, goodnes, fayth, ²³ Meekenesse, temperancie: against such there is no lawe.

¹² As many as desire to make a faire shewe in the flesh, they constraine you to be circumcised, onely because they would not suffer persecution for the crosse of Christ. ¹³ For they themselues which are circumcised keepe not the law, but desire to haue you circumcised, that they might reioyce in your flesh.

¹³ In whom also ye haue trusted, after that ye heard the worde of trueth, euen the Gospel of your saluation, wherein also after that ye beleeued, ye were sealed with the holy Spirite of promise, ¹⁴ Which is the earnest of our inheritance, for the redemption of that libertie purchased vnto the prayse of his glory.

⁸ Euen vnto me the least of all Saints is this grace giuen, that I should preach among the Gentiles the vnsearchable riches of Christ,

³⁰ And grieue not the holy Spirit of God, by whom ye are sealed vnto ye day of redemption.

⁹ (For the fruit of the Spirit is in al goodnes, and righteousnes, and trueth)

¹⁸ And be not drunke with wine, wherein is excesse: but be fulfilled with the Spirit,

¹⁹ And for me, that vtterance may be giuen vnto me, that I may open my mouth boldly to publish the secret of the Gospel, ²⁰ Whereof I am the ambassadour in bonds, that therein I may speake boldely, as I ought to speake.

¹⁴ In so much that many of the brethren in the Lord are boldened through my bandes, and dare more frankely speake the word.

³ That nothing be done through contention or vaine glory, but that in meekenesse of minde euery man esteeme other better then himselfe. ⁴ Looke not euery man on his owne things, but euery man also on the things of other men. ⁵ Let the same minde be in you that was euen in Christ Iesus,

¹⁴ Do all things without murmuring and reasonings,

¹⁵ Let vs therefore as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if yee be otherwise minded, God shall reueile euen the same vnto you. ¹⁶ Neuerthelesse, in that whereunto wee are come, let vs proceede by one rule, that wee may minde one thing.

²⁷ To whome God woulde make knowen what is the riches of his glorious mysterie among the Gentiles, which riches is Christ in you, the hope of glory,

⁶ Neither sought we prayse of men, neither of you, nor of others, when we might haue bene chargeable, as the Apostles of Christ. ⁷ Whereunto I am ordeined a preacher and an Apostle (I speake the trueth in Christ, and lie not) euen a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and veritie.

⁷ For God hath not giuen to vs the Spirite of feare, but of power, and of loue, and of a sound minde. ⁸ Be not therefore ashamed of the testimonie of our Lord, neither of me his prisoner: but be partaker of the afflictions of the Gospel, according to the power of God,

¹¹ Whereunto I am appointed a preacher, and Apostle, and a teacher of the Gentiles.

⁹ Wherein I suffer trouble as an euill doer, euen vnto bondes: but the worde of God is not bounde. ¹⁰ Therefore I suffer all things, for the elects sake, that they might also obtaine the saluation which is in Christ Iesus, with eternall glorie. ¹¹ It is a true saying, For if we be dead together with him, we also shall liue together with him. ¹² If we suffer, we shall also reigne together with him: if we denie him, he also will denie vs. ¹³ If we beleeue not, yet abideth he faithfull: he cannot denie himselfe.

² Vnto the hope of eternall life, which God that cannot lie, hath promised before the world began:

³ For this man is counted worthy of more glory then Moses, inasmuch as he which hath builded the house, hath more honour then the house. ⁴ For euery house is builded of some man, and he that hath built all things, is God. ⁵ Now Moses verely was faithfull in all his house, as a seruant, for a witnesse of the thinges which should be spoken after.

¹⁸ That by two immutable things, wherein it is vnpossible that God should lye, we might haue strong consolation, which haue our refuge to lay holde vpon that hope that is set before vs,

¹ Iames a seruant of God, and of the Lord Iesus Christ, to the twelue Tribes, which are scattered abroade, salutation.

¹ My brethren, haue not the faith of our glorious Lord Iesus Christ in respect of persons.

⁴ Are yee not partiall in your selues, and are become iudges of euill thoughts?

⁹ But if yee regarde the persons, yee commit sinne, and are rebuked of the Lawe, as transgressours.

²⁶ For as the body without ye spirit is dead, euen so the faith without workes is dead.

¹³ Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew by good conuersation his workes in meekenesse of wisdome. ¹⁴ But if ye haue bitter enuying and strife in your hearts, reioyce not, neither be liars against the trueth. ¹⁵ This wisedome descendeth not from aboue, but is earthly, sensuall, and deuilish. ¹⁶ For where enuying and strife is, there is sedition, and all maner of euill workes. ¹⁷ But the wisedome that is from aboue, is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, easie to be intreated, full of mercie and good fruites, without iudging, and without hipocrisie. ¹⁸ And the fruite of righteousnesse is sowen in peace, of them that make peace.

⁴ Ye adulterers and adulteresses, knowe ye not that the amitie of the world is the enimitie of God? Whosoeuer therefore will be a friend of the world, maketh himselfe the enemie of God.

¹ PETER an Apostle of IESVS CHRIST, to the strangers that dwell here and there throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia and Bithynia,

¹¹ If any man speake, let him speake as the wordes of God. If any man minister, let him do it as of the abilitie which God ministreth, that God in al things may be glorified through Iesus Christ, to whome is prayse and dominion for euer, and euer, Amen.

² (For that life was made manifest, and wee haue seene it, and beare witnes, and shewe vnto you that eternall life, which was with the Father, and was made manifest vnto vs)

³ And hereby we are sure that we knowe him, if we keepe his commandements. ⁴ Hee that saith, I knowe him, and keepeth not his commandements, is a liar, and the trueth is not in him.

¹² Not as Cain which was of that wicked one, and slewe his brother: and wherefore slewe he him? because his owne workes were euill, and his brothers good. ¹³ Marueile not, my brethren, though this world hate you.

⁵ They are of this worlde, therefore speake they of this world, and this world heareth them.

⁹ Herein was that loue of God made manifest amongst vs, because God sent that his onely begotten sonne into this world, that we might liue through him.

¹⁴ And we haue seene, and doe testifie, that the Father sent that Sonne to be ye Sauiour of the world.

¹⁰ He that beleeueth in that Sonne of God, hath the witnes in himselfe: he that beleeueth not God, hath made him a lyar, because he beleeued not ye record, that God witnessed of that his Sonne.

¹ The Reuelation of Iesus Christ, which God gaue vnto him, to shewe vnto his seruants things which must shortly be done: which he sent, and shewed by his Angel vnto his seruant Iohn,

¹³ I knowe thy workes and where thou dwellest, euen where Satans throne is, and thou keepest my Name, and hast not denied my faith, euen in those dayes when Antipas my faithfull martyr was slaine among you, where Satan dwelleth.

⁵ And if any man wil hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouthes, and deuoureth their enemies: for if any man would hurt the, thus must he be killed. ⁶ These haue power to shut heauen, that it raine not in the dayes of their prophecying, and haue power ouer waters to turne them into blood, and to smite the earth with all maner plagues, as often as they will. ⁷ And when they haue finished their testimonie, the beast that commeth out of the bottomlesse pit, shall make warre against them, and shall ouercome them, and kill them. ⁸ And their corpses shall lie in the streetes of the great citie, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where our Lord also was crucified. ⁹ And they of the people and kinreds, and tongues, and Gentiles shall see their corpses three dayes and an halfe, and shall not suffer their carkeises to be put in graues. ¹⁰ And they that dwell vpon the earth, shall reioyce ouer them and be glad, and shall sende giftes one to an other: for these two Prophets vexed them that dwelt on the earth. ¹¹ But after three dayes and an halfe, the spirit of life comming from God, shall enter into them, and they shall stande vp vpon their feete: and great feare shall come vpon them which sawe them.

⁶ And he said vnto me, It is done, I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ende. I wil giue to him that is a thirst, of the well of the water of life freely.

¹ And hee shewed me a pure riuer of water of life, cleare as crystall, proceeding out of the throne of God, and of the Lambe.

¹⁷ And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth, say, Come: and let him that is a thirst, come: and let whosoeuer will, take of the water of life freely.
