¹² Neither have I separated myself from the commandment of his lips; I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food.

¹⁰ Then should my comfort grow; I would hold on to sorrow without mercy; for I have not contradicted the words of the Holy One.

²² Receive, I pray thee, the law from his mouth, and lay up his words in thine heart.

⁹ The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever; the rights of the LORD are true, they are all just. ¹⁰ More to be desired are they than gold, than much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.

¹¹ ¶ Thy spoken word have I hid in my heart that I might not sin against thee.

¹⁰³ ¶ How sweet have been thy spoken words unto my taste! yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth!

¹²⁷ ¶ Therefore I have loved thy commandments above gold, yea, above fine gold.

¹⁶ Thy words were found, and I ate them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of my heart: for thy name was called upon me, O LORD God of the hosts.

⁴² And the Lord said, Who then is that faithful and wise steward whom his lord shall make ruler over his household to give them their portion of food in due season?

⁴⁶ the lord of that slave will come in a day when he does not look for him and at an hour when he is not aware and will cut him off and will appoint him his portion with the unfaithful.

³² But he said unto them, I have a food to eat that ye know not of.

³⁴ Jesus said unto them, My food is to do the will of him that sent me and to finish his work.

⁶⁶ After this, many of his disciples went back and walked no more with him. ⁶⁷ Then Jesus said unto the twelve, Will ye also go away? ⁶⁸ Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life. ⁶⁹ And we believe and know that thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.

³¹ ¶ Then Jesus said to those Jews who had believed him, If ye abide in my word, ye shall be my disciples indeed;

²² confirming the souls of the disciples and exhorting them to remain in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.

³⁸ Now the just shall live by faith, but if any man draws back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. ³⁹ But we are not of those who draw back unto perdition, but faithful unto the saving of the soul.

² as newborn babes, desire the rational milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby in health;

¹⁹ They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us; but this happened that it might be made manifest that they were not all of us.
