Luke 12:13-21

Worsley(i) 13 And one among the multitude said to Him, Master, speak to my brother to divide the inheritance with me: but He said unto him, 14 Man, who set me over you as a judge or divider? 15 And He said unto them, See to it that ye beware of covetousness; for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of his possessions. 16 And He spake a parable to them, saying, The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully: 17 and he reasoned within himself, saying, What shall I do? for I have not room to lay up my corn. 18 And he said, This I will do: I will pull down my barns, and build larger ones; and there I will bestow all my products and my goods. 19 And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast plenty of goods laid up for many years, take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry. 20 But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night shall thy soul be required of thee; then whose shall those things be which thou hast provided? 21 So is he that heapeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich towards God.
