53 Then he took it down from the cross and wrapped it in a linen sheet and laid it in a tomb hewn out of rock, where no one had yet been laid.
54 It was the Preparation Day, and the Sabbath was just beginning.
55 So the women, who had come with Jesus from Galilee, followed closely after Joseph and saw the tomb and how His body was laid there.
56 Then they went back home, and prepared spices and perfumes.
24 1 Now on the Sabbath they rested, in accordance with the commandment, but on the first day of the week at early dawn they went to the tomb, taking the spices which they had prepared.
2 But they found the boulder rolled back from the tomb,
3 and yet on going inside they did not find the body.
