Mark 4:16-20 And there are they which are sown on stony ground, who when they shall hear the word, receive it with gladness:

Whiston⁽ⁱ⁾ ¹⁶ And there are they which are sown on stony ground, who when they shall hear the word, receive it with gladness: ¹⁷ And have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward when affliction and persecution ariseth for the words sake, immediately they will be scandalized. ¹⁸ And others are they which are sown among thorns: such as have heard the word, ¹⁹ And the cares of life, and the deceits of the world, entering in, choke the word, and they become unfruitful. ²⁰ And these are they which are sown on good ground, such as hear the word, and receive [it], and bring forth fruit, some thirty, some sixty, and some an hundred.
