He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim release to captives and recovery of sight to blind people, to send those who are oppressed out in freedom, ¹⁹ to proclaim the Lord’s favorable year.” ²⁰ Then, having rolled up the scroll and returned it to the attendant, He sat down. The eyes of everyone in the synagogue were fastened on Him, ²¹ and He began by saying to them, “Today, this Scripture in your ears has been fulfilled”.
