And when I looked, behold, four wheels by the cherubim, one wheel by each cherubim; and the colour of the wheels was as a stone of Tarsis or beryl.
As for their appearance, the four of them had one likeness, like a wheel within a wheel.
When they moved, they went in any of their four directions without turning as they went. They followed in the direction that they faced, without turning as they went.
And their whole body, and their necks, and their hands, and their wings, and the circles were full of eyes, round about the four wheels.
As for the wheels, they were called in my hearing, O wheel.
Each one had four faces. The first face was the face of a cherub angel, the second face was the face of a man, the third the face of a lion, and the fourth the face of an eagle.
And the cherubim rose; that is, the living creatures that I saw at the Kebar River.
When the angels moved, the wheels moved beside them. When the angels lifted their wings to rise from the ground, the wheels did not leave their side.
When they stood still, these stood still, and when they rose up, these lifted up. For the spirit of the living creature was in them.
Then the glory of the LORD departed from off the threshold of the house, and stood over the cherubim.
The angels lifted their wings and rose from the ground. I was watching them as they left with the wheels beside them. The angels stood at the door to the east gate of the LORD's Temple, and the glory of the God of Israel was above them.
This was the living creature that I saw under the God of Israel at the Kebar River, and I knew that they were cherubim.
Each had four faces and four wings, and under their wings were what looked like human hands.
Their faces looked exactly like the faces that I saw by the Chebar River. Each one went straight ahead.
