I urge therefore, first of all, that supplications, prayers, intercessions and thanksgivings be made for all men;
for kings and all those in authority, so that we may lead tranquil and quiet lives in all godliness and dignity.
This is good and acceptable before God our Savior,
who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.
For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,
who gave himself as a ransom for allthe testimony given at the proper time.
To this I was appointed a herald and an apostle — I am telling the truth, I am not lying — a teacher of Gentiles in faith and truth.
Therefore, I want men everywhere to pray, lifting up holy hands, without anger or dissension.
and I would have the women dress becomingly, with modesty and self-control, not with plaited hair or gold or pearls or costly clothes,
but with good deeds, as is proper for women who profess to worship God.
A woman must learn in quietness and full submissiveness.
I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man; she must be silent.
For Adam was formed first, then Eve.
And it was not Adam who was deceived. It was the woman who was deceived and became a lawbreaker.
But she will be saved through childbearing, if they continue in faith, and love, and holiness, with sobriety.
