Thou who proclaimest not to steal, dost thou steal? ²² Thou who sayest, Commit not adultery', dost thou commit adultery? Thou who abominatest idols, dost thou violate things sacred? ²³ Thou who gloriest in a law, dost thou by the breach of that law dishonour God? ²⁴ For as it is written, "On your account the name of God is blasphemed among the nations."
