Mark 11:28-33 and say to him, By what authority doest thou these things? And, Who hath given thee authority that thou shouldst do such things?

Thomson⁽ⁱ⁾ ²⁸ and say to him, By what authority doest thou these things? And, Who hath given thee authority that thou shouldst do such things? ²⁹ And Jesus, answering, said to them, I also will ask you one question. Answer me; and I will tell you by what authority I do these things. ³⁰ Was the baptism of John from heaven or of men? Answer me. ³¹ Upon this they reasoned among themselves, saying, If we say, From heaven; he will say, Why then did you not believe him? ³² But if we say, From men; they feared the people; for all held John to be really a prophet. ³³ So they in reply; say to Jesus, We cannot tell. There upon Jesus answering, saith to them, Neither do I tell you by what authority I do these things.
