Luke 22:39-46

Thomson(i) 39 Then he went out and retired as usual to the mount of olives; and his disciples followed him. 40 And when he came to the place, he said to them, Pray, that you may not come to trial. 41 Then having withdrawn about a stone's throw from them, he kneeled down and prayed, 42 saying, O Father, if thou wilt remove this cup from me; but not my will, but thine be done. 43 Then an angel from heaven appeared to him, strengthening him. 44 And being in an agony, he prayed more earnestly. And his sweat was like great drops of blood falling on the ground. 45 Then he arose from prayer, and went to his disciples, and found them asleep, oppressed with grief. 46 And he said to them, What! Are you asleep! Rise and pray that you may not come to trial.
