John 9:35-38 Jesus heard that they had excommunicated him; and having met with him he said to him, Dost thou believe in the son of God?

Thomson⁽ⁱ⁾ ³⁵ Jesus heard that they had excommunicated him; and having met with him he said to him, Dost thou believe in the son of God? ³⁶ He answered and said, Who is he, Sir, that I may believe in him. ³⁷ Jesus said to him, Thou indeed seest him, and it is he who is talking with thee. ³⁸ Whereupon he said, Lord, I believe, and worshipped him.
