John 4:8-11

Thomson(i) 8 [for his disciples were gone to the city to buy food;] 9 thereupon the woman of Samaria saith to him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, who am a woman of Samaria? [For the Jews have no friendly intercourse with the Samaritans.] 10 Jesus answered and said to her, If thou hadst known the bounty of God, and who it is who saith to thee, Give me to drink, thou wouldst have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water. 11 The woman saith to him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep; whence then hast thou this living water?
