4 so that when he grew old his heart was not perfect with the Lord his God as the heart of his father David had been.

7 then Solomon built high places for Chamos the idol of Moab, and for their king the idol of the Ammonites, and for Astarte the abomination of the Sidonians:
8 and thus he did for all his strange wives who burned incense and sacrificed to their idols.
9 So Solomon did evil in the sight of the Lord. He did not follow the Lord like his father David; therefore the Lord was angry with him, because he turned away his heart from the Lord God of Israel, who had appeared to him twice
10 and had given him a charge touching this very thing, by no means to go after strange gods, but to be careful to do what the Lord God commanded him. His heart was not perfect with the Lord like the heart of his father David,
