17 And this I say; that the law which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot abrogate the covenant previously established by God, to make the promise of no effect.
18 For if the inheritance is by the law, it is no longer by the promise. But God gave it to Abraham by the promise.
19 What then? The law was added on account of transgressions, till the offspring should come to which the promise was made, being appointed by angels by the hand of a mediator.
20 But there is no mediator of one; but God is one.
21 (2:4) Is the law then against the promises of God? By no means. For if a law had been given, able to give life, righteousness would really have been by the law;
