Riverside⁽ⁱ⁾ ² He taught them many things by figures of speech. He said to them in his teaching, ³ "Listen; a sower went out to sow, ⁴ and it happened, as he was sowing, that some seed fell beside the road and the birds came and ate it. ⁵ Other seed fell on stony places where it had not much earth, and it sprang up at once because it had no depth of soil, ⁶ but when the sun came up it was scorched and because it had no root it withered away. ⁷ Other seed fell among thorns and the thorns grew up and choked it and it yielded no grain. ⁸ Other seed fell into good ground and grew tall and strong and yielded thirty, sixty, or a hundred fold." ⁹ He said to them, "Let him who has ears to hear with hear."
