RKJNT(i)
When Jesus heard of it, he departed from there by boat privately into a solitary place: and when the people heard this, they followed him on foot out of the cities.
As Jesus went ashore, and saw a great multitude, he was moved with compassion toward them, and he healed their sick.
And when it was evening, his disciples came to him, saying, This is a desolate place, and the day is now past; send the multitude away, that they may go into the villages and buy themselves food.
But Jesus said to them, They need not depart; you give them something to eat.
And they said to him, We have here but five loaves, and two fish.
He said, Bring them here to me.
And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the grass, and took the five loaves, and the two fish, and looking up to heaven, he blessed, and broke, and gave the loaves to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude.
And they all ate, and were filled: and they took up what remained of the fragments, twelve baskets full.
And those who had eaten were about five thousand men, besides women and children.
