RKJNT(i)
Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He does not say, And to seeds, as to many; but to one, And to your seed, which is Christ.
And this is what I mean, that the law, which came four hundred and thirty years later, cannot annul the covenant which was previously ratified by God, and thus make the promise void.
For if the inheritance is based on the law, then it is no longer based on a promise: but God gave it to Abraham by a promise.
Then what purpose does the law serve? It was added because of transgressions, until the seed should come to whom the promise was made. It was ordained by angels through the hand of a mediator.
