Luke 16:2-8

Noyes(i) 2 And he called him, and said to him, What is this that I hear of thee? Give an account of thy stewardship; for thou canst be no longer steward. 3 Then the steward said within himself, What shall I do, now that my lord taketh away from me the stewardship? I cannot dig, I am ashamed to beg. 4 I am resolved what to do, that, when I am put out of the stewardship, I may be received into their houses. 5 So he called to him every one of his lords debtors, and said to the first, How much dost thou owe my lord? 6 And he said, A hundred measures of oil. And he said to him, Take thy bond, and sit down quickly, and write fifty. 7 Then he said to another, And how much owest thou? And he said, A hundred measures of wheat. He saith to him, Take thy bond, and write eighty. 8 And the lord commended the unjust steward for having done wisely; for the sons of this world are wiser toward their generation than the sons of light.
