ABU(i)
And having called him, he said to him: What is this that I hear of thee? Give account of thy stewardship; for thou canst be no longer steward.
And the steward said within himself: What shall I do? for my master takes away from me the stewardship. I am not able to dig; to beg I am ashamed.
I am resolved what to do, that, when I am put out of the stewardship, they may receive me into their houses.
And having called to him each one of his master's debtors, he said to the first: How much owest thou to my master?
And he said: A hundred measures of oil. And he said to him: Take thy bill, and sit down quickly, and write fifty.
Then he said to another: And how much owest thou? And he said: A hundred measures of wheat. And he said to him: Take thy bill, and write fourscore.
And the master commended the unjust steward, because he had done wisely; because the sons of this world are, in their generation, wiser than the sons of light.
