James 3:13-17 Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by his good conduct that his works are from meekness because of wisdom.

NSB⁽ⁱ⁾ ¹³ Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by his good conduct that his works are from meekness because of wisdom. ¹⁴ If you have bitter jealousy (envy) and greedy ambition in your heart, do not be arrogant and lie against the truth. ¹⁵ This wisdom is not a wisdom that comes down from above, but is earthly, sensual, and devilish. ¹⁶ For where jealousy and selfishness are, there is confusion and every evil deed. ¹⁷ But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, reasonable (yielding), full of mercy and good fruits, without discord (partiality), without hypocrisy.
