You know that you also have a Master in heaven. ² Continue steadfastly in prayer, being vigilant with thanksgiving. ³ Pray also for us that God may open to us a door for the word, to speak the secret of Christ, for which I have also been imprisoned. ⁴ Let me make it known, as I ought to speak. ⁵ Behave with wisdom toward those who are outside, making the most of the time. ⁶ Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one. ⁷ Tychicus will make known all my affairs to you, the beloved brother and faithful minister and fellow servant in the Lord. ⁸ I have sent him to you for this very purpose, that you may know our situation, and that he may comfort your hearts. ⁹ He will be with Onesimus, the faithful and beloved brother, who is one of you.
