Matthew(i)
1 And the Lord talked wyth Moses saying:
2 tell the chyldren of Israel, whosoeuer he be of the chyldren of Israel or of the straungers that dwell in Israel, that geueth of hys seed vnto Moloch he shall dye for it: the people of the lande shall stone him with stones.
3 And I wyl set my face vpon that felowe, and wyll destroy him from among hys people: because he hath geuen of hys seed vnto Moloch, for to defyle my sanctuary & to polute my holy name.
4 And thoughe that the people of the lande hyde their eyes from that felowe, when he geueth of hys seed vnto Moloch, so that they kyll hym not:
5 yet I wyll put my face vpon that man and vpon hys generacyon, and wyll destroy hym and all that goo a whooryng wyth him and commyt hordome wyth Moloch from amonge their people.
6 If any soule turne him to enchaunters or expounders of tokens and goo a whooryng after them, I wyl put my face vpon that soule & wyll destroy him from among his people.
7 Sanctifye your selues therfore and be holye for I am the Lord your God.
8 And se that ye kepe myne ordinaunces and doo them. For I am the Lord whych sanctifye you.
9 Whosoeuer curseth his father or mother shal dye for it, his bloud on his head, because he hath cursed hys father or mother.
10 He that breaketh wedlocke with another mans wyfe shall dye for it, because he hath broke wedlocke with his neighbours wyfe, and so shall she lykewyse.
11 If a man lye wyth hys fathers wyfe and vncouer hys fathers secreates, they shall both dye for it, their bloud be vpon their headdes.
12 If a man lye wyth his daughter in law they shal dye both of them: they haue wrought abhominacion, their bloud vpon their headdes.
13 If a man lye wyth mankynde after the maner as with woman kynde, they haue both commytted an abhominacion & shal dye for it. Their bloud be vpon their heades.
14 If a man take a wyfe & her mother therto, it is wickednesse. Men shal burne with fyre both hym and them, that there be no wickednesse amonge you.
15 If a man lye wyth a beast he shall dye, and ye shal slea the beast.
16 If a woman go vnto a beast & lye doune therto: thou shalt kyll the woman and the beast also, they shall dye, and theyr bloud be vpon theyr heades.
17 If a man take his syster his fathers daughter or his mothers daughter, & se her secreates, and she se his secreates also: it is a weked thynge. Therfore let them perysh in the syghte of their people, he hath sene his systers secretnesse, he shall therfore beare his synne.
18 If a man lye wt a woman in tyme of her natural dysease and vncouer her secrettes and open her fountayne, & she also open the fountayne of her bloud, they shal both peryshe from among the people.
19 Thou shalt not vncouer the secrettes of thy mothers syster nor of thy fathers syster, for he that doth so, vncouereth hys nexte kyn: and they shal beare their mysdoyinge:
20 If a man lye wt his vncles wife, he hath vncouered his vncles secretes: they shal beare their synne, & shal dye chyldlesse.
21 If a man take his brothers wyfe, it is an vncleane thyng, he hath vncouered his brothers secrettes, they shalbe childlesse therfore.
22 Se that ye kepe therfore all myne ordinaunces and al my iudgementes, and that ye doo them: that the land whether I bryng you to dwel therin, spewe you not out.
23 And se that ye walke not in the maners of the nacions which I cast out before you: For they commytted all these thynges, and I abhorred them.
24 But I haue sayde vnto you that ye shall enioye their lande, & that I wyll geue it vnto you to possesse it: euen a land that floweth wyth mylke and hony. I am the Lord your God, which haue separated you from other nacions:
25 that ye shulde put difference betwene cleane beastes and vncleane, and betwene vncleane foules and them that are cleane. Make not your soules therfore abhominable with beastes and foules, & with al maner thing that crepeth vpon the ground, whych I haue separated vnto you to holde them vncleane.
26 Be holy vnto me, for I the Lorde am holy and haue seuered you from other nacions: that ye shuld be myne.
27 If there be a man or woman that worketh with a spryte or that expoundeth tokens they shall dye for it. Men shall stone them wyth stones, & their bloud shalbe vpon them.
